You're on a traffic stop and you ask for a supervisor. Does this cop have to comply? If you're a follower of mine, you've seen lots of videos where we've seen people ask for a supervisor, even demand a supervisor before they're going to get out of the car. Well, you have the ability to do that, but you don't have the right to have one. You can ask anything you want to. You can ask him to get Ronald McDonald out there, but he doesn't have to get Ronald McDonald out there. Now, there might be a departmental policy that controls this issue with the police officer. For example, they're required to call a supervisor to the scene of a use of force incident. But, on a normal traffic stop, he doesn't have to get his sergeant out there.
