So, here's the reason a good defense attorney always checks the weather report on the client's arrest date. As a Nashville criminal defense attorney, I always check the weather conditions of the date where my client was arrested because there are certain things about the weather that are important and actually crucial to the case that I'm defending. For example, we recently had a vehicular case where the allegation against my client was being reckless and causing the of a pedestrian when we were able to later determine that this Tennessee traffic work crew set their cones up on the westbound lane at 4:30 in the afternoon when the sun was setting behind them. This person approached the scene of that traffic work crew and the sun hit his eyes briefly and blinded him while there was a pedestrian in the street that got hit. That evidence on the weather significantly helped our client in the defense of his case. So most lawyers don't even check the weather report on the date that you were arrested. But I know from personal experience how important that evidence is.
