on December 21st 2023 a Florida highway
patrol officer observed a BMW traveling
at approximately 145 mph on an
interstate in Fort Meers Florida the
officer initiated a traffic stop and the
driver began to flee from the officer
After exiting onto State Road 82 a
high-speed pit maneuver was attempted
this pit maneuver put the officer's
vehicle into a
ditch
that exiting at the
136
this pit maneuver was conducted at a
high rate of speed using the the dash
camera footage and Google Maps we have
measured the distance between two key
points leading up to the pit the
distance was approximately
1,383 ft and that distance was covered
in 7.83 seconds this equates to
approximately 120 mph according to the
Florida Highway Patrol policy manual an
officer will consider the speed of the
vehicle and the benefits to the motoring
public by the immediate termination of
the pursuit members should remember that
the greater the speed the greater the
likelihood of injury or death the
suspect continued to flee but was
intercepted by another Florida highway
patrol

Influence reckless driving and resisting
an officer without violence her bond was
set at
