AT3 before we get into this video I want
to take a moment to call out St Lucy
County Sheriff's Office and their shitty
tactics as US citizens were all entitled
to a degree of transparency in the form
of public records that are typically
easily obtainable video requests do
require additional labor for review and
redaction and we are fully in support of
paying a reasonable cost associated with
that labor unfortunately the St Lucy
County Sheriff's Office is far from
reasonable to Simply get an estimate the
requestor must pay a minimum
non-refundable deposit of $100 shortly
after the department sent an estimate
for
$980 we figured this was for over 20
hours of footage and modified the
request to reduce the associated labor
to our surprise the revised estimate was
$420 for 12 hours of labor at $35 an
hour at this point we decided to pay the
additional $320 assuming we would get 8
to 10 hours of footage to our surprise
we received less than 2 and 1/2 hours of
footage that was unreasonably redacted
information that falls under public
records was redacted and they even went
as far as redacting an officer's name
tag mandatory deposits inflated
estimates and excessive redaction can
only be explained as the department
intentionally putting up barriers to
reduce transparency to the public now
onto the video on May 9th 2024 St Lucy
County Sheriff's Office responded to a
call to local Popeyes where people were
reportedly vandalizing the place after
they became tired of waiting for their
food kind of like thre a drink and kind
of you
know kind of like threw a drink and they
kind of threw some stuff off of the
counter which I mean you can run the
camera you know you going to see
everything was it stuff huh was it their
stuff it it was stuff that
I they they put it on the counter
okay I never touched it I said you know
what ma'am I say 40 minutes later give
me a refund please okay did she give you

refund at this point the the shift
leader or whatever she is she's like up
on the ladder so the the the employees
telling her like okay they want to
refund they want to refund she on the
ladder like laugh she she's like on the
ladder like laughing saying okay okay in
a minute in a minute at this point my
daughters did kind of get like agitated
due to the simple fact of them seeing
somebody like spit on our tender so I
think they kind of like threw a drink
right they kind of like threw a drink
back there or whatever everything's on
camera y'all going to pull everything up
on camera so everything I'm telling
y'all y'all going to already see but
anyway they like threw a drink and kind
of like knocked the stuff off of the
front counter we didn't we didn't leave
we left out the store we didn't leave
cuz we knew they was calling the police
at the end of the day we ain't running
from nothing and then one of the
employees one of the guys that's cooking
he came from the back and got a drink
and he was like y'all mad at me y'all
mad at me I ain't do nothing and then
they start speaking Creo you feel me
they start speaking Creo which is which
is not accept I work in all
facility me me meanwhile I just spent
over $60 here
you get your refund no ma no ma' so
what's the status on the
video so what's the plan stand I'm
waiting for the
video um and we can arrest the to they
said that the third daughter also F but

they threw all their drinks everywhere
and then they like knocked all this
stuff

then and then they said they destroyed
all the chicken cuz there's like soda
all over why they do so they waited like
an hour here like this truck I don't
know if they're friends or what but that
truck's been sitting for an hour so I
it's
accurate accurate a time and she said
that she thought she food cuz she
started complaining um and then on top
of that what else she said thought she
saw some the food they saw him working
without gloves like touching all the
chicken dinners and stuff like that so
like they want to refund waiting that
plus food being [ __ ] up they wanted to
refund they refused so they said
it okay so so we're going to deal with
them legally how we're going to deal
with them but they they still have to be
refunded the money for the services that
weren't tender to
them they never Reed the food because
they're claiming that it was spit in it
look we're going to we're going to
handle this all legally so that's all
going to be added into the total of
everything they're food that's that's
going to be for the legal system the
food that they threw and destroyed
everything like that that's going to be
legally for them the money has to be
refunded and the
water so this is one she throws she

the judge cuz he's not going to be

early you need to just go
in the end the suspects were charged
with felony criminal mischief and the St
Lucy County Sheriff's record department
