Today we have a video from ArrestMania, and the title of the video is "Routine traffic stop turns chaotic as mom's outburst leaves her daughter in tears." >> On June 19th, 2025, in Chatham County, Georgia, a routine traffic stop involving Shantel Williams quickly escalated into a full arrest situation with multiple charges, growing tension, and a series of confrontations with officers on scene. Because at the start, it looks like just a standard traffic stop with citations, but once the tow decision and prior warnings come into play, everything starts escalating fast. And when the situation turns physical, the arrest becomes unavoidable. Now, let's go through exactly how it all happened. >> You're hitting THE BABY. >> MIKE, GET OUT OF MY FACE, DIRTY. GET OUT OF MY FACE. I DON'T WANT >> ARE YOU SERIOUS? >> MOMMY, STOP. >> WAIT, WHAT? Tweaking out, like What's up with all the anger issues, man? Like What the hell? >> You're hitting THE BABY. >> MIKE, GET OUT OF MY FACE, DIRTY. GET OUT OF MY FACE. >> ARE YOU SERIOUS? >> [crying] >> MOMMY, STOP. >> 27 CHARLIE 11. >> MOMMY, you lied. YOU TOO. >> THE registration has expired. The vehicle is being towed. People are arguing and someone is upset about going to jail. Right now, the officers probably feel like they are trying to manage a family gathering that has gone very badly wrong. >> How you doing, Skylar? >> Uh, could be better. >> You're not done yet. >> I ain't got no loan, bro. >> Do not If you leave, you If I WILL ARREST YOU. I WILL ARREST YOU. I WILL ARREST YOU. >> [screaming] >> WHAT ARE YOU CRYING FOR? >> I NEED YOU TO STOP RIGHT HERE. I TOLD you you CANNOT LEAVE. >> WHY CAN'T I LEAVE? WHAT YOU NEED TO tell me, MA? I DON'T GET OUT OF MY FACE, BRO. >> GET OUT OF MY FACE, MA. I TOLD YOU NOT TO LEAVE. >> I'M FOR MY CHILD. I'M I'M GOING TO CALM DOWN CUZ YOU TRIPPING. YOU TRIPPING. I GOT A WHOLE new body, baby. You going to turn my car I got TO PUT THE INSURANCE ON IT. LIKE, COME ON. YOU BEING NASTY. YOU BEING NASTY. YOU BEING HOW YOU GOING TO PULL ME OVER TWO TIMES? This your first time ever pulling me over? This your first time EVER PULLING ME OVER? THIS YOUR FIRST TIME EVER PULLING ME OVER? YOUR FIRST TIME EVER PULLING ME OVER? >> WOW. And she's raising the next generation. This is not looking good. You know, I hope that they could realize and and I know that they're they're a little young and stuff like that, but hopefully they will be able to realize that just because, you know, someone is the loudest or whatever or just because that that's your mom doesn't mean that she's right. You know, just because you're a mother or a father does not mean you're right, right? So, these these they're the young ones is looking at them you know, their mom or whatever as, you know, the example like, you know, the knowledgeable one that, you know, for wisdom and stuff, right? And but this display that she's showing right here we know as adults is not right. But as a young one, do you know that? You know what I mean? So, just hitting from hitting the phone right near the, you know, all of that from the very beginning and simple instructions, you know, the officer saying, "Don't leave or I'm going to arrest you, right?" The The young ones, they they're watching this. They're hearing this. And the mom disregarding, you know, not listening. >> MA'AM, I TOLD YOU TO CALM DOWN OR YOU'RE GOING >> MA'AM! >> TO BE ARRESTED. >> NO, MOM, DON'T OH, I BELIEVE you're going to do it. >> Ma'am! >> Ma'am, that [ __ ] lied. >> Ma'am! >> I'm out. >> Ma'am! >> I'm out, man. >> Tavaris, it's okay. She's your mom and she's not going to jail. >> Damn, that's how you confide in your children, too. Like Shut up, man. That That The The one right here with the with the puffs. Mom, please don't do it, you know. Ah, shut up. Why are you crying? Shut up. LIKE DAMN. >> LISTEN. >> MAMA AND I was fighting. And I told the >> I'm taking you to jail. >> Please tell her I thought I put HER IN HANDCUFFS ON THE VEHICLE. >> Do you have somebody to come get >> I thought I put For what? >> Cuz I'm taking you to >> For what? >> I'm locking you up. >> For what? >> I'll let you know in a minute. >> I didn't do [ __ ] For what? For what? >> I'll let you know. >> For what? >> I'll let you know. >> For what? >> I'll let you know. >> NO, LET ME KNOW NOW. NO, I DON'T. I DON'T. WHY WHY ARE YOU TAKING ME TO JAIL? FOR WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU TAKING ME TO JAIL FOR? >> YOU DON'T know how to act. >> Okay, just cuz I don't know how to act, YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE ME TO JAIL, >> CALM DOWN. CALM DOWN. >> NOW, I'M ALREADY LOCKED UP a lot. You just been messing with me for no reason, man. Put her in handcuffs on the vehicle. You still going to tow the car. Like, come on, man. >> How many times did I tell you I was being very nice to you then. >> How many times you told me what >> Over here, I'm taking your car. >> It's okay. You can put it over there. >> I'm sorry? The keys? Do you have the keys to the car? Because If he doesn't have the keys So, if he doesn't have the keys over there, they'll give you another charge for not giving them the keys. And that's not on me. That's on them. So, I'm going to take her in. She tried to walk away from my stop. She grabbed my pen and hurt my finger. >> We have officially entered the for what Olympics. She asked that question so many times that I thought the officer was going to >> She grabbed a pen and hurt her finger. Now, don't get me wrong. I do agree. I do think that she needed to go to jail. Uh but uh >> start charging admission. But, here's the thing. When an officer repeatedly tells you not to leave and you keep doing the exact opposite, I agree with that. You're helping your situation. And I love how her attitude suddenly changes at the end. But, honestly, the saddest part is seeing the children cry. That is what hurts the most. >> SORAYA, STOP CRYING. IT'S OKAY. IT'S OKAY. SHE don't care about all that crime mess. Obviously, she don't care. >> You made him cry. >> What? Take me to jail? >> No, cuz I'll keep walking. What? >> Walked away in traffic stop. >> Where's my phone? Can I please check my car to see if my phone in there? I don't need y'all to walk with me. >> You don't get a choice in that. >> It doesn't matter. I don't need I I I have freedom of speech. I don't I don't understand why I'm going to jail for having a freedom of speech. >> That's nothing to >> Because because I How? >> Learn your rights before you use that excuse. >> How? HOW? WHAT DID I DO WRONG? I'M GETTING MY PHONE. SORAYA >> YEAH, GOOD JOB. GOOD WORK. >> YOU'RE ACTIVELY RESISTING. AND YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY. >> WHAT THIS BAG is really going to do is get all that cool my cat AND EVERYTHING UP. >> ALL RIGHT, CAN YOU HEAR ME? >> 27 CHARLIE 1 >> I SIT ON THAT? Why would I sit on that? >> Why did you do all that? Why'd you do all that? >> Why would I sit on that? >> Can I get a supervisor on scene for me, please? I now have one female 10-95. Stella Rosa 66239 You're recording, so it's ON THE VIDEO. STELLA ROSA 66239 >> You can go ahead and release the car, right? >> Yeah. >> I'll circle it. >> All right, THANK YOU, SIR. >> WE GOT IT. WE GOT IT. >> JUST GIVE ME A SECOND, HE'LL GIVE IT TO YOU. YES. I'll have my supervisor on his way. >> YOU'RE OKAY? >> WHY ARE YOU PUSHING ME IN FRONT OF THE >> WELL, AS HE'S walking up on the scene, we might have to get him together, too. You got to pick your spots, man. You still see them dealing with the suspect. You wait until they secure. If you want to get that information, that's perfectly fine. But you wait until they deal with something else. You don't just hop right in. Oh, let me get that and them. You're going to get a response like this, cuz I hope you not interfering or obstructing what they got going on, their investigation. Might have to get you together, too. >> Get off the street. You'll get it. >> Stay back. GET OUT OF THE ROAD. GET OUT OF THE ROAD. >> THIS man is This man is >> GET IN THE CAR. >> BRO, STOP PUSHING ME, MAN. STOP PUSHING ME. >> GET IN THE CAR. >> CAN YOU PLEASE STOP PUSHING ME? >> GET IN THE CAR. Y'ALL Y'ALL ARE TRIPPING. >> Y'ALL handled her the wrong way. >> So this is the problem. I told her multiple times about her vehicle, right? You want me to talk or not? You want me to do it or not? Okay. She I told her multiple times. So I pulled her over cited her for it. I gave her the reason of the doubt. Benefit of the reason. Then she wants to grab my pen and throw it at me. All right, so there's that situation. And then she's cussing I understand it but that's no excuse. Would it be okay for me to throw stuff at you? Would you be okay with me throwing stuff at you? No. She threw She grabbed my pen, broke it, threw it at me. Then she's cursing and yelling in front of all the children. That's another thing. And then willfully resisting from being in the car, putting herself in there, pushing herself back. Right? That's what she's doing. I told her to get out of the car. She would not get out of the car. That is not a circle. That is her fault. Everything else irrelevant. There was There was nothing wrong with it because she threw herself in there and did not want to get out. irrelevant. No. Is someone going to be with her kids? Do you have someone that lives with you? Does she have somebody that lives in the house with her kids? No? SHE JUST SAID NO. ALL RIGHT. >> [screaming] >> WHERE THE PURSE? >> I DON'T KNOW. >> Unless it got taken away in the car. >> It probably is in the car. She had all of that. She was trying to get back in it when she sat DOWN IN IT. >> [screaming] >> HOLD ON. I'M NOT ABOUT TO >> [screaming] >> HERE COMES EVERYONE'S FAVORITE LEGAL DEFENSE, freedom of speech. It is amazing how that phrase often appears the moment handcuffs come out. The problem is that freedom of speech allows you to say what you want, but it does not allow you to ignore lawful commands or resist officers. And now she is demanding answers after spending the last 20 minutes refusing to listen to any. >> Why she crying? Wasn't she telling the kids to stop crying? Stop crying then. You the adult. You were just telling the kids to stop crying. Stop crying. Why you crying for? Take it. Take your own advice or suggestion, whatever you want to call it. Stop all that crying. You brought this upon yourself. Seems like Seems like she was just going to get a simple ticket. Seems like she was just going to get a simple ticket or something. Like she was writing a thing. You know, could tow the car or whatever cuz it didn't have insurance or it probably initially didn't have insurance and then when the officer did it, now she want to call up get insurance real quick. But it's too late for all of that, man. You know? A done deal, man. Done deal. >> And just like that, all the screaming, arguing, and confusion finally starts to fade away. Earlier, there was non-stop drama, but now reality has fully set in. Meanwhile, the suspect sits there thinking about how a small problem somehow turned into an all-night journey through the criminal justice system. That is usually how these stories end, not with a dramatic moment, but with regret. >> See, I didn't know she broke the pan and threw it at I didn't know all of that. Now, now that makes sense with the whole, you know, hurt my finger and all that stuff. >> is gone. The [music] arguments are over, and everyone is just trying to confirm names, birthdays, and whether anyone needs medical attention. I also find it interesting how a completely unrelated shooting call comes over the radio and instantly reminds you that while this may have been the biggest event in her day, for these officers, it is just another shift. And honestly, after everything we have watched, hearing normal conversation between the deputies feels surprisingly refreshing. >> [music] >> It is like the whole circus finally packed up and left town. Chantel Williams was arrested in Chatham County, Georgia and charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer, simple battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly [music] conduct, and criminal trespass following a traffic stop that escalated into an argument, alleged physical resistance, and arrest. If you enjoyed this breakdown, make sure >> Wow. Yeah. That's crazy, man. Terrible example. She sets a terrible example for her children. She should be ashamed of herself, and she should not be responsible for raising the next generation. >> [laughter] >> Please, stop having kids cuz yeah, you are not setting a good example. >> [music]
