Then officers asked her to stand against the car so they could search her I'm glad we going through this cuz I was super confused. Like we started off the video hot and heavy. [clears throat] Like I'm like what the hell? Before putting her inside, she pulled away, turned around, and kept reminding them who her family was. A brother who went to school for law, a sister who works for the police, and people she says she knows. But here's the thing, whoever your family is, that name check still works the same. And Stanford's [music] name had already been sitting in the system for 4 months. Back on December 2nd, officers were called to the McDonald's on North Knoxville after a woman went behind the counter and took items worth more than 25 cents. According to Officer Parker, police identified her within days. Restaurant never turned over the footage. Nobody answered the door to her address. The case was closed before the new year. But that pick up order, that was still there waiting to pop up on screen. And while she's sitting in the squad car, officers start comparing notes about how she was identified in the first place. Turns out the restaurant had posted about the incident on Facebook asking for public help. And in the comments underneath that post, Stanford apparently showed up herself and admitted it was her. I mean, how much detective work do you really need after that? And that's the case. As always, we are not here to judge anyone as a person.
