She stole money from her mom for Post Malone. >> April 19th, 2026. Swaton police were called to a home over a fight between a mom and her daughter. The daughter had apparently used her mom's credit [music] card to send money to Post Malone because she believed the two of them were actually in a relationship. And once police [music] started digging into it, the amount of money involved was way bigger than anyone expected. So, how did it get this far? Well, let's see what happened when officers arrived [music] and where this whole thing really started. >> You see where I'm going? >> Hello again. >> Hey, how's it going? >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. I was out here for this last time. >> Oh, okay. This is my first time. >> Okay. >> Obviously, I'm >> kind of the same thing happened again or what's going on today? >> I don't even know how to describe everything going on in my world. Okay. >> All right. >> Very sorry about this. >> Yeah, I'm I'm going to move over. No, I'll move down one from You're good. So, it's kind of the same thing going on today with what happened last time or or or what's going on today? >> Yeah. I mean, she gave me her card to get food and cigarettes. >> Okay. >> And then I purchased extra things. >> Gift cards again or >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Because I am reaching for something bigger that she doesn't quite understand. the their relationship with Post Malone that >> you're >> I'm I'm just getting clarification. That's all. >> But you're saying that in a way that's like you don't believe me. >> Well, I mean, last time I came out here, I told you that it's not him. I know >> it's someone who's who's taken advantage of you is what it is. We don't want to see you keep getting taken advantage of. That's what it comes down to. So, I know this has been going on for like a while, probably over. also said you didn't go through my phone, but I know you did because my phone was fully charged and it was on airplane mode. >> So, so we so once your mom declined to continue with any like charges or anything related to it, um I at that point we unplugged the phone and we didn't go through all the data related to it. Okay. >> Mhm. >> Um >> would you like to go through the data? >> So, that's not going to be my call today. That's going to be a different officer's call today. They're in there talking to your mom right now. She think she dating Post Malone when she really dating Joshua Makoup over there in uh Nigeria somewhere. Huh? This [laughter] yo telling her sweet nothings, man. Just sending that bread, man. >> All right. Um but >> he's on his way. >> I understand that's what you believe, but I'm just letting you know that it's not him. >> Then who is it? >> I don't know who it is. I just know it's not it's not him. Okay. Okay, I know I know that's something you don't want to hear and I know that upsets you and I'm sorry for upsetting you. I don't want to upset you by just being honest. >> I can I can deal with that. >> Yeah, >> mentally. This is not This garbage is not my stuff. I'm sorry. No, >> that's all right. Like I don't want I'm not here to upset you or I'm not belittling you. I'm just trying to be as honest with you as I can. That's >> Yeah, that's I appreciate that 100%, but like I'm I'm just really confused. >> Yeah. No, I understand that. So, um, >> um, like I'm really confused. >> Well, how long has this been going on for? How long have you been in contact with this person? For, >> at least a year. >> Okay. How much money over the past year do you think you've sent them? >> Thousands of dollars. >> Thousands. Okay. Has your Has your condition changed for the better since sending this person any money? >> No. >> Okay. That's why that's what makes me think that they're taking advantage of you because >> they things haven't gotten better for you and you've been sending them all this money >> over the past year, right? Mhm. >> So that's why I think this person's taking advantage of you. So this is my partner Jenna and Jerry here. Okay. So >> I was going to miss the first >> It's a lot. >> So I'll I'll just kind of fill them in at that school really quick. >> Yeah. So fine. >> She's had a an online relationship with an account that she believe is Post Malone for at least a year. >> Count it. Well, >> you've been communicating with them through like WhatsApp, Instagram, stuff like that, right? Sounds about right. Okay. And then um well at least today her mom gave her a credit card to go purchase a couple items while she was What store was it? Was it CVS again or was it somewhere else? Where was it? >> How would you know if it w it was CVS? >> I just remember last time I think you were at CVS. Do you know what store you were at this time? >> Yeah, I do know. >> Okay. What was it? >> Walgreens. >> Okay. So, she was at Walgreens to buy a couple items and while she was there she bought some gift cards and then um to send the money to this person. Okay. From the gift. >> Send the gift cards already. How much money did you spend on gift cards? >> Which time? >> Today. >> $450. >> Did your mom allow you to buy gift cards? >> Yes. So, I betrayed her trust. >> What did she authorize you to use the credit card for? >> Food, which I have made all day. So, >> you buy food as well? >> No, I did not buy food. >> Yeah. So, that's kind of what happened last time, too. >> Yeah. Well, last time she went and grabbed it out of the mom's purse without her knowing for that one, but this has kind of been an ongoing thing for at least a year where this happens pretty frequently. >> I'm not a person. >> So, is she still living at home with her mom or something? Like, what? Like, [clears throat] this is who she need to go see if she want to find out if she talking to Post Malone or not. This is who she need to go. She need to contact these guys. Catfish. I know y'all remember the show uh Catfish from MTV or whatever. Well, this this married couple and stuff, they did a spin-off version of it and they do YouTube videos. See, this is who it really is. You know what I mean? Like, it's some guy like this. This is who [laughter] from the TV show. From the TV show. But yeah, just type in catfished and click up with these guys cuz they gonna Yeah. [clears throat] One girl I seen this episode. One girl thought she was talking to Chris Brown and all types [laughter] of It's insane. It's insane. These people fall for these their their love schemes. Typically, you see it with um older people for the most part, like older older um you know, older men um older women um you know, and people are sending like their retirements and stuff like that to these um to these con artists. honestly to these con artists and [clears throat] a lot of times from people from all over from different countries and stuff or whatever and they're they're sending the money, you know, they're sending the money. Maybe give them Bitcoin or whatever, like you know, just take advantage of of pe vulnerable people, people that, you know, really want love so bad, you know, and all this other stuff. But no, I guarantee she probably never even, you know, video called Post Malone or anything, you know. But yeah, she needs to go reach out to catfished. I ain't going to lie. >> Going around saying you are. I think you're being taken advantage of. Really? >> I'm literally doing this because my goal is to save myself and my kids. >> No, I understand that. But when I asked you, you know, since you've been interacting with this person for a year and sending them money, has your has your condition changed for the better at all? And you said no. So I I think this person's just using you for the access you have to your mom's credit card and money. All right. And now you know it's wrong that you're using your mom's credit card for things that she doesn't want you to. You know, you know that that's wrong. >> Oh, I know. That's wrong the whole whole time. >> Yeah. So I mean, you're responsible for that. But at the same time though, someone is taking advantage of you and you need to, like I said last time, you need to cut off that communication because they're going to keep pressuring you to do this. Even though you have to take responsibility cuz you know it's wrong, but at the same time, this person is using using their influence over you for you to do this. >> Okay. Which doesn't make it right what you did, but they're also at the same time taking advantage of >> taking advantage of me because I'm in a weak point because I'm going through a divorce. >> Yeah. And they know who I'm in love with and they're portraying. >> Yeah. >> That they're them. >> Do you believe that you're sending money to Post Malone? >> Why would I have to send money to Post Malone? >> Then why would you and I'm new to this. I don't mean to be offensive. Why would you send some some money to somebody you don't know who pretends [clears throat] to be Post Malone when you when you know it's not Post? >> Because Jesse's told me personal information. >> She believes it is him. >> You believe it is Post Malone? And >> I I've had a very fringe conversation last time I did that. >> You're not like trying to be weird. >> No, you just, you know, it's not reasonable for a multi-millionaire to be asking for gift cards from somebody in the state that they don't know. >> So, what have you been up to last time or since last time like we talked? >> What am I up to? >> Yeah. Are you working anywhere? >> I'm an artist. I've been doing like murals, renovating people's houses. >> Okay. Do you just do murals or do paintings or drawings? >> I'll show you. Come on. Well, we'll we'll we'll just hang out out here. I didn't know if you had pictures on your phone. We'll just we'll just stay out here for right now. That way we don't get in a big argument with your mom inside. >> Okay. Um, sorry. I'm getting emotionally overwhelmed. >> I mean, we're used to it with this work. >> My cousin's a police officer. When I get emotionally overwhelmed, I can't think straight. Okay. My hands are shaking. You don't understand of weirdness that has happened. >> Mhm. >> Since I met Austin. But if everyone wants to say that it's not real, I mean it's not real. >> Yeah. So I mean so this is a common like type of scam that people happens to people especially like someone who has such a high profile as Post Malone people can find out a lot of details about them cuz they're very public people and then they can pose that they are that person and they can say things that you know intimate details whatever cuz everything about their life is online. So people can post things about them and pretend that they're none and then take advantage of that to get money from people. So that's a common thing that can happen. Um and especially the online scans with the gift cards specifically cuz they're hard to track. >> Yeah. >> That's why people have them do the gift cards because it's hard to track who gets that money and who's spending them once they get the codes. I mean that's a thing that that I've taken reports on. Like for instance, so we we've done we've done that for ones where people met someone on Words with Friends and sent them over $70,000. Isn't doesn't that sound crazy? >> Yeah. And I thought >> but people but people believe that they're in love with that person and that person's real. It's someone who's taking >> I know I know it sounds crazy. I mean especially why would millionaire know what I'm going through and ask me for money when I don't have money to feed myself? >> Exactly. He's using you for the access you have to your mom's credit card. But that doesn't make it right what you did, right? >> No. >> Okay. >> Can you stand up for me? >> You're going to you're going to arrest me. >> You really don't need to put handcuffs on. >> We're required to figure that. >> Oh, whatever. It doesn't matter. >> I'm not a criminal. >> You need the car key somewhere. I have no idea right now. >> Anything in these pockets? >> No, I'm not a criminal and these handcuffs don't really contain me. So, >> she probably doesn't want to put her daughter in jail, right? But in order for the mom to get her money back, you know, this looks good. She did not authorize that stuff, you know, so it is what it is. And this might look good for the father um as well if he's trying to get primary custody or her husband for right now, but there she's going through a divorce, you know, because she's not wrapped too tight, man. If she thinks she's dating Post Malone, man, [laughter] you're nuts. Okay, you can do whatever you want. Here you can walk anywhere you >> legs a little bit. Mhm. So mom said you had the keys. Do you know where those are? No. And I don't care. >> Check this pocket. >> I don't have keys. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You have my phone, right? >> Yeah. >> She's coming. >> Yeah, I got it. >> Okay. >> Got it. Do you have a key? >> I got a key. >> You got it. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not a hedge. Okay, I will behave. Okay. I'm very upset. Like widen my tears if you could. >> I can't. >> No, we're not going to go that way. >> We'll get a chance station. All right. >> There's no one else there. We'll be by the side. What do you want to meet? Just >> take a step in. >> With Jackan now sitting in the back of the patrol car, this is where the story gets even crazier. She'd apparently been sending money to someone she believed was Post Malone for at least a year. Thousands of dollars according to her. And some of that money came straight from her mom. There was $500 from a card she took back in March. Then another $450 that day from a card her mom had given her to buy food. And even after everything that happened, it was still hard to tell exactly what Jackling believed about this supposed relationship. At that point though, her mom had had enough and decided to press charges for both incident. So what was Jquelyn actually charged with? In the end, Jquelin Cellier was booked at the Wheaton Police Department on two counts of theft under $500, one for each incident. Prosecutors decided not to pursue felony charges, and she was eventually released on pre-trial release and driven back home. >> Wow. Yeah, man. She is nuts. And she's leaving her husband for Post Malone. [laughter] Oh my god. You can't make this stuff up. [music] [music] Fly with it. [singing] Keep it [music] late night drive. Don't be shy.
