Starts as a fake ID dispute outside a bar, ends with a woman on the ground in handcuffs. Months later, she tells a local news station this arrest left her with a concussion, and the police department itself says it's still reviewing exactly what happened. >> Right there. >> It's just after [music] midnight on July 27th, 2024, outside a bar on Water Street in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Staff tell officers a woman inside is using an ID that isn't hers, and that [music] both her and a friend are refusing to leave after being asked. According to the incident report, staff had already flagged this ID as belonging to someone else entirely, a woman named Alicia, not the person holding it. Officers explain more than once that identifying [music] herself is the fastest way out of this, a citation instead of a trip to jail. She keeps arguing the point instead. >> [music] >> A second woman, later identified as Mikaela Patterson, is now part of the conversation, too. According to the report, officers warn her directly that threatening a law enforcement officer is a separate crime. Right now, this is still just words. What happens in the next few minutes is what actually leads to handcuffs. >> Let me go. The next part of this video is the reason the department says it's still >> Bro, what the [ __ ] Oh my god. Oh my goodness, bro. What? Like oh man. Why is this like this? Like it's just like Can we get to it already? >> reviewing this arrest. If you want to see exactly what happened, subscribe and tell us in the comments, where do you think the line is between resisting and just arguing? According to Sergeant Lamb Macedo's report, he took hold of Patterson's arm as she stood between him and Robinson. She pulled away. What officers describe as a controlled takedown, Patterson later told a local news station felt very different. THE OFFICER'S REPORT SAYS HE brought her to the ground to maintain control while she resisted being handcuffed. Standard procedure for a combative arrest in his account. Patterson would later tell W E A U 13 News she came away from this moment with a concussion and injuries to her face, chest, and body. Both of those things are in the official record. What you're about to see is the moment itself, exactly as the body cam captured it. >> I can't get it. me a citation. >> Okay, give me the citation so I can get the [ __ ] out of here. >> Well, we need your real ID. >> I don't have it on me. That's no, I don't >> That's her ID. >> Okay. What's your first name? >> Am I getting my ID >> That's already the first lie. The officer said, "I need your real ID." And the girl with the tattoo says, "I don't I don't have it on me." But then the friend, she want to butt in and say that is her ID. Just keep your mouth shut, okay? Talking about the friend, just keep your mouth shut. All right? They they not even talking to you. They dealing with her, man. This is Yo. Man. All right, anyway, let's continue. >> You're not What's your first name? Okay. >> No, you're not free to leave. If you walk away again, you're going to go in handcuffs. And then you can go to jail. >> For what? >> Obstructing. >> I didn't even I didn't get my ID, dude. They snatched I walked in >> No, no one ID'd you. What's your name? >> I walked in there and no one ID'd me. >> What's your name? >> Like that's so [ __ ] dumb, dude. >> What's your name? >> While still on the ground, according to Sergeant Lambaceder's own report, Patterson repeatedly calls him slur. Robinson, arrested separately minutes later, is recorded using the same word toward him as well. Both moments are in the official paperwork, word for word. This channel isn't repeating the term itself, but it's part of exactly what happened that night. >> [ __ ] man. [snorts and sighs] >> If you don't give it to us willingly, we'll ID you at the jail. I'd rather you just give us your name verbally. Just give you your citation and be done with this. >> Am I getting my ID back? >> What's your name? >> Am I getting my ID back? >> Is this your ID? >> I have my ID. >> It doesn't look like you. So, until we can until we can prove it's your ID >> in a different way. So, y'all say it's not me either. >> Okay. >> If she's not going to ID herself, she can go to jail. You have one chance to tell me >> I have my hand cuffs cuz Am I getting my ID? >> What's your name? >> Am I getting my ID? >> If it's yours, you can have it back. >> Okay, so give it. >> What is your name? >> Can I have my ID? >> No. You can't. >> So why am I still here? Just take the ID and go. >> Because you are getting a citation. >> Because I walked in there and they didn't ID me. I have my friend's purse. You need to identify yourself. >> What is your name? >> Can I have my ID? >> Keiana Robinson was charged with four offenses: disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer, carrying a false or altered ID, and furnishing to an underage person, all under Wisconsin statutes 947.01, 946.41, 125.085, and 125.07. Her bail was denied at booking, and a court date was set for 2 days later. >> No. For what? They didn't ID you. >> I can explain this. >> Why are y'all even saying the outcome went Y'all got a whole second half I don't even want to [ __ ] watch this [ __ ] I don't even want to watch this [ __ ] This is [ __ ] This is This is crazy. Oh my god. Why is this girl hanging out like that? What a class. Yeah, see. You know, it's it's whatever. It seemed I guess The I guess the viewers like it. Got 12,000 views or whatever, but as a as a content creator, this is this is not This is not how you edit body cam footage. Like I'm This is not how you edit body cam footage at all. I'mma let it rock. I'm not going to say nothing else. I'll give my opinion at the end. >> Michaela Patterson faced three charges: battery or threats to police under Wisconsin statute 94.0.203, a felony, along with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. She was released on a signature bond for all three with the same court date as Robinson. What's not in these documents is how either case was ultimately resolved in court. >> YOU DON'T THREATEN LAW ENFORCEMENT. YOU DON'T THREATEN LAW ENFORCEMENT. >> [laughter] >> YOU DON'T THREATEN TO SMACK A LAW ENFORCEMENT NO, YOU SAID IT TO ME. POLICE BRUTALITY. >> YOU WANT TO CALM DOWN. STOP. MY HANDS HURT. STOP MAKING IT WORSE. MA'AM, CALM DOWN. CALM DOWN. >> AS FOR THE OFFICERS INVOLVED, the Eau Claire Police Department confirmed publicly weeks after this arrest that the incident and the force used were under internal review. No public findings from that review were available at the time of this video. >> Please. >> Are you done? Ma'am. >> I understand, yeah, BUT IF YOU >> GET OFF, BRO. >> SO, they're going to stand you up, okay? They don't want you to fight anymore. sister. You want to stand up? Can we stand you up? >> I want to stand up on my own. I don't want to have no [ __ ] handcuffs on me and stand up with those [ __ ] >> that now, okay? We're going to have to stand up. >> WE'RE NOT PAST [ __ ] THIS NOT EVEN MY ISSUE. >> We're giving you a chance to stand up and be decent. >> I'm on a [ __ ] stretcher, [ __ ] >> THAT'S A WRAP. YOU GET wrapped up in front of all these people. >> I won't try to get off of me, bro. >> A confiscated ID started this. Whether the response that followed was handled the way it should have been is still officially an open question. >> Y'all really pissing me off. I'm not even lying. I'm not going in this one. No, I'm not going in no [ __ ] car. Y'all going to put me in one of y'all cars. I'm not going in no [ __ ] car. Y'all going to put me in one of y'all cars. I'M NOT GOING IN NO [ __ ] CAR. I'M NOT GOING IN NO [ __ ] CAR. Y'all can put me in one OF Y'ALL CARS. I'M NOT GOING IN ONE OF NO [ __ ] CAR. WE'RE SITTING IN THE CAR. Y'ALL NOT PUTTING ME IN NO [ __ ] car. >> Not every case on this channel has a clean ending. This is one of them. If you think stories like this deserve to be followed up on, >> Just just just just get another editor, man. Please. Just something got to switch. Something got to switch, man. That just get a whole another editor. Whoever you got, I don't know if you maybe you got somebody overseas or something, you know, that's typically how how these channels go. Get somebody overseas for cheap to do the work and stuff like that, whatever, but y'all need a new editor. I ain't going to lie. This shouldn't even been put out like this, but like I said, you know, apparently people do like it. It got 12,000 views. It's doing well, but from from my taste, mhm, no. Uh the only reason why I'm putting it out is cuz I was halfway through the video. So, it's like whatever, it is what it is. You know, we give it raw and uncut over here. You know what I mean? I do very minimal editing, okay? So, um but yeah, as far as the case is concerned, it was very difficult to follow. Um I didn't even see the part where she threatened the officer. Like maybe I missed that, but I feel like you know, yeah, they're in the wrong for going in there without an ID and giving all the lip and all that stuff whatever but I didn't really see much of it. I just heard the narrator talking most of the time and I'm like what the he gave away the ending halfway through. He forgot [ __ ] to say LIKE I Y'ALL LIKE Y'ALL >> [laughter] [gasps] >> WHAT is this? What is this? What is this? I get y'all. Maybe you guys as you know as viewers and stuff like that maybe you guys have a better understanding of it. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below of of this case what you thought about it. I thought it was a [ __ ] I thought it was all over the place and it didn't need to be. It didn't need to be. I think it's just the editing style that made it not flow as natural as we see with a lot of other channels. >> Looking for answers as [music] the world goes by.
