What's going on? >> So, I'm asking you what's going on. Whose check is it? We're here cuz the owner, whoever your check you're checking, the bank called saying that you've been attempting to defraud all day on this check or on previous other checks, I'm not sure, but this is the check that is involved now. So, >> I arrived here alone. Yes. >> How'd you get here? >> Lyft. >> Lyft? So, where's your partner? >> What partner? >> That you came with. >> Lyft. Came in on Lyft. >> What kind of Lyft? What kind of car was it? >> It was a Honda. >> A what? >> A Honda. >> A Honda. >> You don't remember what kind of car >> So, when we check the cameras, it's you're going to get me dropped off on a Lyft? >> I got dropped off on a Lyft. A lot of times people that are doing this stuff, they're working with somebody and they take off when obviously when they see police there, you know? Cuz the police don't know what car to look for or whatever, not yet. And she's saying that she got she she got dropped off in a lift. Well, okay, well, let's find out. Pull up the app on your phone cuz we'll be able to see your last ride. >> on your phone, right? You can search to see which lift it was. >> Yeah, I can. >> Can you show us the lift you took? >> Show us. >> No, I didn't order the lift. >> Huh? >> Somebody else ordered the lift for me. >> Uh-huh, of course. All right, cool. >> So, how long do you guys want to keep me for? >> Uh discuss everything, figure it all out, and then from there we go from there. >> Okay. >> You know, we got to go for something. Obviously, that's what we're doing. >> I know that. >> Oh, yeah. Get off that phone. Get off that phone, man. The cops should make her get off that phone. >> Like an hour, 2 hours. My kids get out at 3:40. From school. >> From In-N-Out? >> Yeah. >> 8:00 at 3:40? All right. All right, so let's figure out what's going on here and then we'll figure out that. How many kids you have? >> I got three. >> Three kids? >> Mhm. >> Boys or girls? >> Two boys, one girl. And that's the last one? I want one know >> And that's said you got the two girls in the backseat. >> Yeah. >> Where did your Lyft drop you off? >> In the front. >> Right in front of here? Or across the street? >> Across the street. >> Was it an Altima? >> No. >> Like a Honda Accord, Honda Civic? >> Um it's a >> Four Does it have four doors or two doors? >> Four doors. >> What color was it? The Lyft? >> The Lyft? >> Yeah. >> White. >> White? >> All right, miss. Just turn around. All right, let's go. Turn around. >> All right. >> No. Then you guys come with us. >> One second. >> All right. So you're going to be under arrest for personal checks. >> You can follow. >> What's that? >> Following those. >> I'm telling them process you. You haven't been arrested before? >> Nope. >> Never? >> No. >> Well, first time for everything. >> [laughter] >> Big Bertha will be down there waiting on you. She love first-timers, man. >> Okay. I'm sorry, but if you've never been arrested then >> Yeah, it's probably going to be like hours. >> Okay. I don't want to do it for hours, so I'll try to >> Me, neither. >> Yeah. >> So we can process this faster. No. >> All right, do you have any [ __ ] [ __ ] in your jacket or anything? >> Anything in your pockets? >> No, I don't think so. >> bag. >> Oh. Oh, yeah, it's money right here. >> Where in your back pocket? >> Yep. And my wallet. >> What is this? >> Oh, that's my shirt. >> All right. Anything you want to get out of here, miss? >> No. So can you put those things inside the purse, please? >> Yeah, go on one second. >> Yeah, one second. >> Okay. >> Shakima, anything else from in here? >> Nope. >> Anything else from in there? ID? >> I got it. >> Your ID? Your ID and paperwork. >> And your ID. >> Okay. So, remember how I said I wanted to ask you some questions? So, what brought you to Fairfield specifically today? What brought you to Fairfield if you live in Newark? >> What part? >> What brought What brought you to Fairfield today to cash the check at this TD Bank specifically? >> I don't know the area, actually. >> Do you work around here at all or? >> No, I don't know what's around. >> What's around? So, what are you doing in Fairfield today then? Just >> Just to cash a check. >> What's that? Just to cash a check? So, what Why this one more specifically? I mean, there's probably TD Banks, I'm assuming, around the area. >> Well, I wasn't in my area. That was the wrong wizard, so. >> Okay. >> I was around the corner. >> And uh who gave you the check? Uh like, do you work for the company? >> For the company? >> Yeah. No, okay. So, who gave you the check? >> A guy. >> Okay. Do you know his name? >> No. >> Okay. You just met him? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, I just want to let you know, sometimes with this when you get charges for this now for positive checks, sometimes if you help us out, we try to help you out. So, if if any if, for example, you will get charged today, but what happens is any information you can help provide with us cuz obviously this is a thing that I'm going for other people, sometimes those charges we can try to finagle with and try to see what they can do to it. Okay? Cuz then it doesn't go to county, it goes to more town municipal, so it's lowered. So, you won't have >> [sighs] >> You're the crash dummy. You're the low man on the totem pole, man. They don't care about you. You're the little crash dummy. Go in there, put your face on camera. Go get the money. You're the crash dummy, man. They want the ones that's more sophisticated. They want the ones that's either making these fake checks going to rob people these fake checks. How are they obtaining them? They want the big fish, the big fish. You just a little crash dummy that they throw crumbs to. Oh, go cash this $35,000 check. We'll give you We'll give you $1,000. Right? They be so happy for $1,000. Oh my god, you know what I'm saying? Oh my god, I need that. Go in there, risk your whole freedom. Oh, let me get that. What? Then when they cash it, here, take this 250, man. They give them 250 bucks and send them packing. Get out of here, babe. What you going to do? Nothing, you know? Come on, man. And you got kids, you don't have no record. What's wrong with you, man? But I don't like her attitude anyway. It's kind of snarky in a way, like uh reminds me of like kind of like a spoiled brat in a way, like it's it may come off nice, but it got a little sarcasm in there, and I don't like it. I don't like it. But whatever, man. She's just a low low man on the totem pole, crash dummy, man. >> necessarily whatever the the sentence is, it could be not as severe. You know what I'm saying? Cuz you got a false and charge, you know, it's not it's not like it's a $5 check that someone gave you. You know what I'm saying? Especially if you got kids, I don't think you'd want to end up in county and then have to tell your kids why you're not home today. You know what I'm saying? Cuz if you go to county, you would go to Newark. So. >> The woman was charged with uttering a forged check and grand theft. >> Looking for answers as the world goes by. Oh, it's our reality. It's crazy. Craziest moments that you've ever [music] seen. Hit subscribe. What's the price? Try got a reaction. >> Reaction full time.
