Has this cop been drinking? I see some ID. >> No. >> You're cauting a disturbance when you create a disturbance. >> What? >> Cauting disturbance. >> God, I hate when I get co auditing disturbances. Caugh auditing disturbance. All right, here's the lay of the land. A free man with a camera is investigating tips and leads that he received that indicate there are maintenance issues with this VA medical center in Spokane, Washington. That's when this cop walks up and demands his ID. Well, what do you think the odds are that officer AA gets that ID? You may have a hot career ahead of you as a fantasy novel writer for just making stuff up on the fly and just being an abusive individual. making up stuff and lying. Sergeant, I'm not lying. >> You're lying. You're not law enforcement. Are you feelings enforcement? Are you going to show up and >> show me ID or identify yourself in any way? >> In no universe will I ever show. >> Then I'm going to ask you to leave. >> Oh, there's way more where that came from. Stick around. Let's watch this video together and make some comments along the way. >> Hey everyone, I am free. It is August 31st, 2026 and I'm in the city of Spokane here in the county of Spokane in Communist Empire, Washington State heading on over here to the VA Medical Center. I got tips and leads that there are issues with the campus in terms of Okay, here we go. There are issues here at the facility regarding maintenance of the hospital building itself. So, uh, I'm going to be taking a look at that. Good morning. >> Morning. >> How you doing? >> Good. What you up to? >> Uh, just working. >> Yeah. What are you doing? >> Uh, just working on something? >> Yeah. What you working on? >> Can't really get into that right now, but you got like a business card I can email you later. >> Uh, nah, no thanks. >> Okay. Yeah, no problem. >> All right. >> Well, hope you have a good work day. >> Yeah, you too. >> Thanks. All right. As you guys can all see here, that over there is the boiler plant. That's one of the areas north west of the hospital that I've got reports about. But they have a brand new fence up that you can see here. So I won't be able to get in myself to see if there are in fact issues. Obviously it's a very important uh part of the facility here at the VA medical facility for here at uh man grandstaff. Um so hopefully we'll be able to get some different kinds of footage. But uh as I had mentioned earlier as well uh the hospital there is quite old. You can see just how old it is. And it from just the outside here on the ground, you can tell it has some serious wear and tear to it. So the hope is that we're going to be able to get some information uh for the old part, not the new part here. As you can see, very, very new, very nice looking. Uh, to see just how bad the condition issues are here at the VA Medical Center. I'm going to go back around to get some more footage here. >> How you doing today? Good. What's up? >> Not much. Can I see some ID? >> No. >> Okay. What are you doing here? First minimum auditing. >> I'm working. >> Working for who? >> Okay. Well, this is a government facility and you unless you're here to get care at the hospital. You need to move along. >> Yeah, that is awkward. Unfortunately, I think you're having a little bit of a misunderstanding, not only from the CFRs, but your hospital director. hospital director allows an open campus, >> but you are causing a disturbance and creating people to be concerned because you're out here with all your gear. >> Is that a felony? >> And walking walking around. >> Is that a felony or misdemeanor? >> You're causing a concern. >> Is that a misdemeanor or a felony? >> You are causing a concern. >> That's not my question. >> Yeah, I know what your question is and I know what you're trying to do in bait. I'm giving you the answers that you're asking. If it's an open campus and visitors are welcome >> by the director, but it is not an open campus. Hospital director allows an open campus. >> Uh-uh. >> Hospital director allows an open campus. >> That's not what the policy says. In fact, I printed it so I could show it to you if you wanted. And also 38 CFR 1.218, which I would hope that as a sergeant, you're probably familiar with security on these grounds during open hours in accordance with the code of federal regulations. I am welcomed to come here and work on this and again when you create a disturbance >> sir. >> All right let's stop here and explain what the law actually says in the case United States versus Agrron a ninth circuit case ruling from the appellet court which is where I'm at. The controlling federal appeals court here in Washington ruled that conduct on VA property becomes a disturbance only when it creates an quote actual or imminent interference end quote with normal VA operation. And agrant involved people yelling, pushing and shoving in a VA parking lot. so loudly they could be heard inside the hospital and through the closed windows of a running police car. That is a disturbance. Quietly recording outside while blocking no person vehicle entrance or government service is nothing remotely comparable. A camera does not magically become a disturbance simply because a public employee dislikes being recorded. That is >> you're going to have to articulate the disturbance cuz I'm telling you right now, sorry. >> By me getting called five different times in the matter of 2 minutes. >> I really don't care. >> Well, that's great. I'm glad you don't care. But that creates a disturbance amongst our people here at the >> we got a call and there's a disturbance does not abolish unalienable rights. >> There is an endless amount of federal case law to support that this is not a disturbance. Now while I may while I admit you may have a hot career ahead of you as a fantasy novel writer for just making stuff up on the fly and just being an abusive individual. >> Oh, I'm abusive. Okay. >> Making up stuff and lying. Sergeant, I'm not lying. >> You're lying. >> I'm not. >> That is a straight up lie. >> Nope, it is not. It's perception, right? And my perception is you're creating a disturbance by making all these people call. >> Fair enough. Look, I may have had a misunderstanding. You're not law enforcement. Are you feelings enforcement? >> Oh, okay. >> Are you the hugs and kisses? Show up and >> show me ID or identify yourself in any way. >> In no universe will I ever show. >> Then I'm going to ask you to leave and I'm going to ask you to leave. >> Is that a request or a lawful? asking you to leave. >> If it's a request, I'm not going to leave. If it's a lawful order to leave and you want to take the next step to go across the line, I'm guaranteeing you shouldn't and don't want to go across. >> Then you do what you got to do, Sergeant. >> Okay. Well, like I said, I'm going to ask you to leave because you are creating a disturbance. >> I'm not creating a disturbance. >> You are. You know, there's a part of if you were ever to go so far and to be so foolish as to violate my civil liberties, there's a part of trial called discovery. >> I'm aware of it. Thank you. >> I guarantee you be schooled on any of this. >> You absolutely need to be schooled. I I don't know in what universe. I don't know if you're drunk right now. Maybe we should get you a field sobriety test. >> I mean, you It smells like there might be a little alcohol on your breath. So >> Oh, does it? It does. You're acting a bit untowarded, a bit unhinged. >> It's hilarious when you turn the tables on them, when you flip the script and you tell them the same things. They tell you, you know, it seems like you've been drinking. I can smell alcohol on your breath. They don't like that at all. But they expect you to take it when they dish it out. >> And you're just making stuff up. >> You weren't running your body. >> Going to be a first. He's not complying with any request. So, >> you weren't running your body camera a minute ago? >> No. And here we have another serious problem. The VA's own published policy states that officers must manually activate the body warn cameras when conducting investigations and during enforcement encounters. The sergeant approached me to investigate my conduct, questioned me, invoked VA regulations, and attempted to exercise law enforcement authority over me. This was unquestionably an investigative and enforcement encounter. Yet, he failed to activate his body warrant camera as a sergeant. that violated the VA's published activation policy. And this wasn't an inexperienced rookie who might plausibly claim confusion. This, as I said, was a sergeant, a supervisor responsible for knowing, following, and reinforcing department policy among the officers under his command. If anyone on that campus should have known when the body camera had to be activated, well, it would have been him. Body cameras exist precisely for encounters like this, to preserve an objective record, protect the public, protect honest officers, and ensure accountability. By leaving his camera off, this sergeant deprived everyone, including himself, of that independent record. A supervisor who demands compliance from the public should begin by complying with his own department's mandatory policies. Call me kooky on that one. >> You weren't running your body to be a person. Please not complying with any request. >> You weren't running your body camera a moment ago. >> No, I wasn't because I didn't I didn't feel necessary because I didn't know what I'm running into. But I am now, so we can both play this camera game. >> Is that is your policy to turn it on when you make contact with someone? >> I believe it is. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Well, Sergeant, come on. Seriously, I don't know if it's too early for you. I don't know if you ran a double triple shift. If you hadn't had your coffee, >> it doesn't matter. You're just trying to be confrontational. If you're not going to leave, I'm going to let you on about your day and you continue to create a disturbance, right? The man who walked up to another man and started a confrontation says that the man that he walked up to is being confrontational. See, this cop is used to getting his way. When he walked up demanding that ID, he's used to people giving the ID. He doesn't ever expect anybody to stand their ground and assert their rights. That's on you. We'll deal with it as it comes. Nine. Go. >> Okay, sir. I'm gonna I'm gonna politely suggest to you and give you some reasonable advice here. Okay? Now, you can choose to take it or not. It's obviously your choice. I can't make you take it, but >> I'm not listening to you right now because I've got something else in my ear. So, give me one second so I can give you the courtesy. Okay? >> Am I being detained? >> No, you're not. You're free to leave. And I was just telling you that I I can't pay attention to two conversations at once. I'm giving that Okay. >> I'm sorry. Can you repeat your last? Copy. That's where we're at. So, since you don't want to be helpful in any way and all you're trying to do is rage bait, I'm going to tell you have a good day, right? I think that's unfortunate, Sergeant, that you every other person. No. Well, it's just kind of the same conversation line you are doing. You have no here for Sergeant. >> No. And you're causing a disturbance >> by other people calling. Okay. That's all I'm saying. >> I've identified kind of cuz you won't be compliant. So now I can say that, you know, I have no idea. >> You won't comply with my tyranny. You won't submit to my authority. I see this badge. This badge gives me special rights and you need to submit >> who this guy is or why he's filming this. So I at least can answer the questions of the directors when it comes to >> look I think you have a good missing your duties if you think a crime is a foot. I mean you got magic bracelets right? >> No ran out of them. Are they broken? That cop really expected to get his way. >> All right. Have a good day. And not only was this cop trying to trick and lie to the cameraman, he knows that he's coming with the implied threat of force and violence. He knows that he has the perceived authority and he was trying to leverage that authority against this man and that is never being a good person. Leave your thoughts about this in the comments section below. That cameraman is Inland Auditing Media. I'll leave that link in the description for you.
