Meet Jasmine. One summer night in Miami, she gets an invite from local nightlife legend Money Matt. [music] So, Jasmine asks her best friend Sam to join her. Sam says she's getting too old for the club scene, but reluctantly agrees. So, the two friends head to a little club called The Studio. Shortly after, cops are called to the studio and arrive in the midst of chaos. This woman claims Sam and Jasmine attacked her, stabbing her in the back in the process. She has a deep laceration bleeding all down her dress. Security guards [music] then escort out Sam and Jasmine as they argue with the other woman insisting they didn't stab anybody. The lone officer on scene tries to separate the woman, ushering Sam and Jasmine into the elevator. Struggling to control the chaotic scene, the lone officer chases after Sam and Jasmine as they try to leave through the stairwell. It doesn't matter. >> Come back here. It's not my jurisdiction. Go through the door. Go through the door. Go through the door. Y'all don't want to listen. >> [clears throat] >> YOU DON'T FIGHT IN A GIRL. I HAVEN'T FOUGHT A GIRL IN YEARS. IN YEARS. I'M YO, what is wrong with you fighting [ __ ] The girl picked on me for no reason. >> I told y'all to stay right here. Y'all don't want to listen. >> We want to get in the elevator, sir. >> Okay, uh you guys are not free to leave. I already told y'all that. I already told y'all that. I'm putting you and we're going to figure it out. >> Yeah, but damn. See, this is the problem when you only have one officer, man. But, the way that they're moving, as soon as another officer come, I would detain them in handcuffs. Because you could be detained in handcuffs and out of handcuffs. But I don't think both of them, you know, we still got to get into the weeds of the story, but just me looking at it right now, I'm not thinking that both of them would actually be getting locked up. Maybe just the one that participating in the You know what I'm saying? I didn't physically see what happened, but it was over a seat. >> Over a seat. Okay, but who pushed who? Both of them squared up and they got into it. >> How did she get the glass bottle back? >> A wine glass. She fell on top of the wine glass. >> They got tied up and then she fell. They fell on the ground. >> You guys don't know who was at the party yet? >> It was over a seat. It was over a seat. >> Are they assigned seats? >> No, there's no assigned seats, so they can go. >> They don't know who was at the seat first? >> I have zero clue. >> But then we hear a very different story from the victim and another witness. They say it wasn't a wine glass that injured her. They claim she was stabbed with a high heel. >> Hey, so she hit her with the heel. >> She hit her with the heels. >> So, that's not what they're saying up there. >> Hey, they're not going to say that, but they had She had her heels off in her hand. >> Look, she stabbed her with the heel. >> This is it. You guys decided to run away. I don't know where you thought you were running to. The lady's going to the hospital. I don't know what happened, but you didn't want to stay around and tell me. While Sam was in the bathroom taking selfies, Jasmine saved her seat. But, when the other woman sat down and Jasmine told her the seat was taken, the woman responded >> I understand your story. But, this is why you're in the back of the police car. You started to run away. I still don't understand where you were running to. It's It's not crazy. It's not crazy. I mean, the girl would have to take off her heel, have it in her hand, and typically girls don't take off their heels in the club. I mean, I mean, sometimes they do, you know, whatever, right? After reviewing the surveillance footage, the club manager says the victim didn't fall onto a wine glass, but was intentionally struck with a martini glass. >> Wow. >> Oh, okay. A martini glass. >> You can see right here in the corner. This is the one that hit this girl here. >> We definitely see that she's bleeding without a doubt. >> No, that's it. >> Oh, Matt is that guy? >> Yes, Matt money is what he goes by. >> He knows a lot of people over there. >> I cleaned up the mess and the piece of glass that fell like you can actually see it. Oh, look. You didn't get that. >> Yeah, but it happened like really fast. One was wearing jeans. >> With both women now in custody, it's time for the part neither claims to have experienced before. Both Sam and Jasmine say this is their first and only arrest. Whether that's true or not, they're about to get the full experience. Handcuffs, a search, and the booking process. >> Get on your knees. Okay, you don't want to walk with them anyways. You're going to go down to the station, they're going to further interview you, okay? At the station, bro. The injured woman was clout chasing and got jealous after seeing Jasmine flirting with Money Matt. >> It's not her hands, it's my My nails hurt. We're going to go to the station now. >> On the video she said I stabbed her Saturday. >> It's not about the charges, it's not about that. >> I never got arrested. Oh my gosh. Jesus. You know, with the glass involved or something like that. Like that's based on what the victim said, you know, obviously the camera shows whatever, but it's only one of them that you know, that and that story makes sense. One friend goes to the bathroom, the other one saving her seat, she pops a squat and they start getting into it, you know, like it it make it makes sense. You know, I I I didn't believe no getting hit with no heel. I ain't going to lie, that that story was sounding real iffy, boy. I'm like, wait, heels are that sharp? Maybe, but nah. I believe the glass story. Whether she fell on glass, you know, that was the initial story, but now she got hit with the with the martini glass, but it's still glass related. That Now that whatever, glass makes sense. That heel story I don't know. >> Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us now? Yes or no? >> This is unfair. This is unfair. >> Yes or no? So, I came back and she was like, "Oh, I'm not getting up." So, I said, "Okay, why you not getting up and you know I've been sitting there. I've been there from earlier. Why you not getting up?" So, I said, "Matt, can you talk to her because that's my friend." He introduced us to us and we said hi to her. I don't know if she had someone mad or cuz Jasmine was flirting with Matt. I don't know. Next thing you know, I don't know. We just started fighting. I don't know who hit who. I don't know who cuz I'm kind of a little tipsy but I was sitting down. She got up and she got mad at Jasmine. I think she hit Jasmine. I don't know if my instinct I don't know what happened. You get what I'm saying? But nobody had weapons. I don't have weapons. They won't allow us in there with a weapon. So, that was just it. It was nothing crazy. So, like And I don't even know how she got blood on Look, I got cut too. So, I never I'm not going to I mean I haven't had a fight in so many years, you know? So, she don't pay my bills. I don't worry about her. I don't even know her name. And I told Jasmine for some reason I'm like, "Babe, I don't even want to go out." I said, "Me, come on." I'm just over it cuz I'm a business owner. I don't have time to deal with unnecessary drama. And you know we were sitting here the whole time. So, the reason why we left because I'm like, "Okay, I'm black. They going to think I started it." Matt Matt got the big dollars, you know what I'm saying? She said, "Your friend told you she didn't want to go out. Maybe you should have listened to that." Oh my god. And then shut the door on her. BOOM. JUST SHUT THE DOOR. OKAY, it's closed. Yeah, you shouldn't have ran, man. Now, what's unfortunate that that the story now that we're getting the whole thing the whole thing, it makes sense, you know? She was sitting there. The both of them been sitting there all night. They were invited by by Matt, okay? One friend goes to the bathroom, the other girl scoops in and try and takes a seat. When the friend comes back, she don't want to get up and starts a fight. It it it completely makes sense now, you know? It it it 100% makes sense. Um the girl started it, right? Cuz she didn't want to get up out of the seat. You know what I mean? That they've been there the whole time, you know, like But, you know, got to fight over the seat. >> [laughter] >> That's just so stupid, man. It was crazy. Damn. >> [clears throat] >> But while Sam is worried about going to jail, she's not too surprised to find Jasmine at the station laughing about the situation. Come on, man. Ew. Sam is facing a felony aggravated battery charge and misdemeanor [music] resisting, while Jasmine is facing misdemeanor battery and resisting. Both women were released on bond and ordered to stay away from the victim. And after a whole lot of court dates, continuances, and [music] paperwork, neither case has reached a verdict. Jasmine's trial is currently scheduled for September 28th, while Sam's has been pushed back to December 7th. So, yeah, that seat at the club next to Money Matt ended up being a lot more trouble than either of them expected. >> Unbelievable, man. What Unbelievable. All this over a seat, man. Golly.
