On December 16th, officers with the St. Petersburg Police Department were patrolling downtown when they noticed a woman walking along Central Avenue with what appeared to be an alcoholic drink in an open container. When officers told her she couldn't carry the drink in the public right of way, she insisted it was juice and continued walking. >> Please, seriously. I could I could tell by the way that they approached the situation if she was, you know, oh, sorry, you know, sorry, I I apologize or whatever, and be like, throw it out. They'll probably just look up your name, make sure your name is good and the clear or whatever, and they would send you on your way, you know, or give you they might give you a site, but if you just look at the very, very beginning, I don't think these cops would have been complete, you know, a-holes about about the situation, you know? >> Avenue with what appeared to be an alcoholic drink in an open container. When officers told her she couldn't carry the drink in the public right of way, she insisted it was juice and continued walking. >> Yeah, like, you know, the cop reaches for it and then you move back and ah, I didn't do anything.
