Return to your vehicle. Return to your >> Let me SEE YOUR HANDS. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. OVER THE CAR. COME OUT NOW. COME OUT. COME OUT. >> I WANT YOU TO SEE FIRST HAND exactly how dangerous a law enforcement agent can be to everyone in the community because he's got to go get this person because they committed a dastardly traffic infraction and we saw them in front of a drug house. You got to stop this person and even if it means flipping a car and sending that car careening into the head-on traffic which thankfully didn't happen in this case right here, but it could easily have. They don't care how many lives they put in jeopardy. They have to bring this person to a halt even though they didn't really commit a crime. Let's take a look at this. >> A vehicle pulls over for a routine traffic stop, but when the officer gets out of his car >> a routine vehicle stop. Okay, you already got the license plate number. Write it down. Go to their house in a day or two when everything chills out. Don't try to perform 15 freaking dangerous PIT maneuvers which is basically attempted vehicular homicide. Look at Look at this. >> [laughter] >> That was >> Actually I got him on foot. I got him on foot. Proceeding towards the getaway auto Oscar. 20 K 10-11 10-56 10-26 location. He's got a [laughter] gun in his hand. >> I'M GOING TO PUT MY HANDS UP. >> WHAT DID HE SAY? >> TURNING AROUND BACK ON MEADOW OAKS. We're approaching U of A. >> That's pit maneuver. That's pit maneuver attempt number two. And it's crazy where he tries to pit maneuver, too. Now, if you pit somebody in this kind of neighborhood right here, they can careen past the stop sign into oncoming traffic. They could go into someone's house. Now, they're counting how many violations How many traffic into this car right here? So dangerous. So dangerous. Look at this. >> U of A approaching E Speedway 1. >> Guess what? If he stopped chasing them, they would stop speeding. >> Charges still white female for driving. >> Looks like he was trying it there, too. Look at that. >> Continuing on Helen >> Imagine if there was some kids crossing the street right here. Or, you know, getting onto a bus stop or coming out of a bus stop. Look at that. >> Voice your traffic. Can you see? 30 mph versus road. Versus driver's male. Do we have a jacket? >> Chasing them in this area right here. Easily could go into a house. Somebody's living room, they're watching TV. >> We are continuing on Burston Drive passing The whistle lane. Our current speed is 20 miles an hour no vehicle traffic. >> That people support cops doing this is ludicrous. >> Apache way passing Brewster. We are now headed East way on our current speed is 37 miles an hour with no vehicle traffic. >> Look at somebody on an e-bike, a little kid on an e-bike. Did you see that? >> The fight female was parked on the wrong side of the road right in front of a known drug house, which is what initially prompted the traffic stop. What the officer doesn't know, however, is the vehicle also doesn't belong to her. >> That prompted the traffic stop? You've got to be kidding me. Even if even if this person is suspected of shooting up a school and is prime target, prime suspect number one, or even if they killed somebody in a post office or something, that's no excuse to put everybody else's life in this subdivision and on the roadway in jeopardy. This this is this really makes me hot under the collar. Look at this person right here walking on the sidewalk, could easily been taken out. And this cop is attempting to do these pit maneuvers in this residential neighborhood. Uh stop sign violation number two. Oh, no, this is horrible. Why? Because she's being chased by a psychopathic law enforcement agent. Look at this. Insane. >> Yeah, that's where we're headed back onto 12 Oaks Boulevard from Apache. Our current speed is 20 miles an hour with no vehicle. >> What would you do if because of this cops actions he pit maneuvered this woman right here and it took out your entire family. Your whole life has been turned upside down cuz this cop just had to initiate this traffic stop. Just got to. There's another one. God. And people really wonder they still wonder why we call them badged uniformed costume wearing psychopaths. Look at this. What is it? Notice is what? That was a pedestrian that could have been taken out. Yeah, Vivian says they have choppers for this. They got drones. They got all sorts of technology. They could shoot one of those things those GPS things on her bumper. There's flood cameras all over the place that can track her movements. I'm not advocating for that but I'm just saying it it would be far less dangerous than what he's he's right here. They think she's out of commission and I I you give her credit. She's she's not going to stop trying. And he's not going to stop trying to destroy that city-owned vehicle. He's got his firearm out. He's he's ready to shoot through the windshield. In a highly populated area with SHOPPING CENTERS AROUND. ALMOST TOOK OUT THE POWER GRID. EXACTLY. NOW, look at that look at this. He tried to pit maneuver with this long train of vehicles on the other side. Maybe people going to work or getting off of work. This is 5:25, so they're probably getting off of work, maybe doing a little shopping, maybe picking the kids up for from school. Well, that might not have happened if this car plowed into one of their vehicles and killed them. What what an absolute unaware dumbass. He ain't done. He ain't done. NOW I GET TO TAKE MY WEAPON OUT. THIS is great. Okay, let's let's just go back a little bit because I'm not sure what police department this is. We'll do a freeze frame on the decals. Christian County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky Sheriff's Association. So, this is the Christian County Sheriff's Office IN KENTUCKY. LOOK AT THIS GUY. LOOK AT THIS GUY. They're I got to tell you, there is something wrong with this guy. He's got some major screws loose to put that many people's lives on THE CHOPPING BLOCK. ARE THEY TRAINED TO HOLD THEIR GUN SIDEWAYS like that, by the way? Look at this. Who does that? Who does that like a gangster? WHO DOES THAT? [laughter] I GET I GET TO TACKLE A GIRL. I feel so strong. I'm just a I'm just here to protect the THE CITIZENS, MA'AM. >> [screaming] >> I'M GOOD. THANK YOU. COUNTY HAVE ONE IN CUSTODY. Stand up. >> I just lost my shoe. >> Shut up. >> She says, "I just lost my shoe." >> I lost >> I'm and I'm not saying that she's not a misguided soul, either. That's pretty whacked out what she did. She put a lot of lives in danger, too. But, the the adult in the room is supposed to be the cop. She would have never First of all, she didn't do anything wrong. So, it's kind of I mean, you can see it another way, too. You can see it as hey, she's trying to preserve her life. She doesn't want to get caught up in the claws of this law enforcement agent who actually could slam her to the ground and cost her her life. So, I I completely understand that, but both of them were putting lives in danger on the roadway. That's the bottom line. >> Shut up. >> Shut up. >> Shut up. >> But, he's the initiator of the injustice. >> Okay. >> Did you see the damage to the front of this cruiser? And why would he care? Why does we He doesn't care because this isn't his vehicle. If this was his vehicle and he was forced to pay out of his own pocket, out of his own paycheck, he would never have done this to the front of your vehicle and my vehicle. >> Car's clear. I'M 10-4. >> ALL RIGHT. >> ARE YOU KIDDING ME? >> SIR. >> YOU KNOW HOW STUPID THAT WAS? How >> Says the guy who did something effing stupid. >> you? How dare you? >> I was scared. >> I wasn't scared. >> Did they hit anyone else in the car? >> No, it's all clear. >> Okay. Did they hit anyone else? >> No. That's it. We're good. >> You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand those rights? >> Did they hit anyone else? No, uh and no thanks to me because I was pursuing her and she probably would have stopped and she probably would have stopped speeding if I just got her license plate, but I'm too stupid to do that. >> Yes, sir. >> Why did you run? >> I was scared. >> You were scared of what? >> I don't know, sir. >> Uh man with a gun who's known to actually commit serious crimes up to and including shooting dogs and brutalizing the elderly. That's what I was scared of. >> You got drugs in the car or something? >> No. >> Then why are you running? There's a reason you're running. >> I just didn't want to go to jail, sir. >> You have warrants? >> No. >> Why would you go to jail for a turn signal violation and for illegally parking? Like what Make Make that make sense to me why I effed up my car and got this car. >> Make it make sense to me why I effed up my car. No, you make it make sense to us, officer. >> Like what Make Make that make sense to me where I got up car? Got this car? Why I'm chasing you? The entire public? Why the >> Yeah, the entire public. Why am I doing that? Why the F am I doing that, he says. >> am I doing that? So, you better come up with a better reason. >> We definitely need some Benny Hill music on this. >> And I was scared for a turn signal violation for illegally parking. I'll let you think about it. >> I This was all for a turn signal violation. Look at this guy's image in his in the reflection. This was all because of a turn signal violation and illegally parking, guys. I am more than willing to put the lives of hundreds of people in my community on the chopping block. I mean, I will be the executioner and I will be holding the sharpened axe because of a turn signal violation and a little parking thing that I had a serious problem with. If that doesn't say I'm a psychopath, nothing does. >> Why the hell was she running? >> I got scared for illegally parking and a turn signal violation. >> Why the hell was she running? Because a guy with a gun was chasing her? >> Joking. Nope, now she was in front of a known dope house. It's a dope house. >> She was in front of a known dope house. That doesn't justify your actions. It actually makes things sound a whole lot worse. >> Is your time out? >> Not very much. >> How much? >> Not very much at all. >> A little bit of meth or something. >> A little bit of meth. >> A little bit of >> A little bit of meth. A little bit of >> Is that why you ran? >> Yes. >> See? Contempt of court. I don't know who you are as a person today. It's not great. That changes lives. It does like this. You know what it probably would have been if you would have stopped? You had dope on you, probably been a possession charge and you'd probably be out tomorrow. This >> What? So, it was that minimal and you decided to actually put everybody's lives in danger? You You >> two-year minimum sentence. >> I dropped my flip-flop and my phone. I'm more worried about my phone. >> You're good. >> It was unnecessary, right? >> I wasn't thinking at all, sir. >> Take care. >> We'll get you some vodka. >> Thank you. >> Are you on drugs? Where's the dope [snorts] house so I don't tear your car apart? >> It's in the front of my purse. It's a little pink pouch, sir. >> Who Who's car is this? >> Where's the dope so I don't tear the car apart? Uh officer, I'm looking at the dope right now. The dope was driving that patrol vehicle that tried to ram my car 15 times. >> It's my boss's. >> Your boss's. Okay. >> Oh boy. >> All right. So do I get your side of the story straight? Essentially, you got scared and that So that That location where you're at, that's a dope house in Mount Juliet. >> No, not anymore. It No, no, no, no. It It used to be and I I agree with you, but it's not anymore. They got rid of all the people that was living there. My boss did cuz it's her house. She kicked all them people out and now it's a pink hat lady and her son and cousin that live there. I had people the son at our school and I I was dropping him off from school and I I picked up the internet box cuz I had to bring it back to my boss. So it's not a dope house anymore. >> So they got rid of it. >> Yes. >> All right. I'm going to start writing my warrants. So you're in Tennessee now. Uh so it makes it a lot more difficult. So I'm going to start doing my paperwork and everything. If you would have pulled over, even if you would have stopped right after you made that stupid decision to run, >> I And I was going to. >> Woah, he followed her beyond state lines so that he could execute those TVIs those um what do they call it a pit maneuver? Those those pit maneuvers on her. So he's in another state. They started in Kentucky and now they're in Tennessee. And he still tried to pit her in Tennessee? >> It's silly. You're not silly. I'm saying stupid mistake. I don't usually say that often, but this this was not either at all. >> I do apologize. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Um I had lost it. She was borrowing it so she has a bunch of groceries and Wi-Fi box in there that we needed. Sorry I'm shaking. It's horrible. We just had it fixed. >> [laughter] >> So they can tow in it. >> Yeah, so can I get this stuff out of there? >> I'll ask the deputy that was involved in it if he wants anything removed from it. This lady over here said that I guess that she was just borrowing this vehicle. >> [laughter] >> Pig manure, that's exactly what it is. >> So I heard that there's groceries in here. They're also going to see if she can get them out. That's what I would ask you, but I wasn't going to remove anything like that. >> No, I appreciate it, brother. I'm good with it. >> Have you made sure there's nothing else in there? >> Yeah, I I searched I got the dope and everything out. >> If they didn't act like filthy dangerous swine, we would never call them filthy dangerous swine. >> Chase. >> Uh he said he's good with that, so if you want to >> Okay, uh hold up or >> Can you pull your car over here in the middle? >> So would you be able to help or cuz the law >> Just try to make as many trips as you can. >> No, I'm not going to help you make as many trips as you can. I'm not touching any of those bags though cuz I'm really not here to protect and serve. >> Be careful with the traffic. Just grab the groceries cuz he said he's good with it, so. >> Cody. >> Be careful be careful of the traffic cuz another one of my officers may come here and try to pit maneuver somebody and take you out. >> To court records, the suspect, whose name isn't identified for privacy, was charged with improper parking violation, improper signal, operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, felony first degree wanton endangerment, felony first degree fleeing or evading police, felony first degree criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, her first offense of felony manufacturing methamphetamine, and felony first degree possession of fentanyl. She is presumed innocent unless >> That's it? Improper parking violation, improper signal, operating on suspended revoked license. This is all worth putting everybody else's lives at risk? >> proven guilty >> What do you What do you hear what Officer John says here? I think yeah, Officer John does put in his two cents here. >> in a court of law. What you just saw is rare. In the body cam footage you watched, one officer >> What you just saw is rare. You [laughter] You're not watching Arkansas State Police activity there, Officer John. It is not exactly rare. >> for a total of 15 PIT maneuvers during a single pursuit. Now, according to a survey >> Okay, that that might be rare. >> of about 10,000 pursuits >> But, doing PIT maneuvers is not exactly rare. I don't care about this statistic that he cites right here cuz it probably comes from law enforcement sources. >> PIT maneuvers were used just 1,018 times. Do the math, and that works out to roughly 9.8% of pursuits. In my entire career, I've never performed a PIT maneuver. Most officers in America never will. >> But, have you ever shot anybody? Did you ever incarcerate anybody for, you know, them dangerous drugs, Officer John? Is there anybody sitting in prison right now who hadn't committed a crime, they haven't left a victim, they just got caught on your bad day? What What about it, Officer John? Could you tell us? >> agencies don't certify the officers to perform them, and some agencies don't allow them at all, which makes footage like this even more unusual. Being trained and certified to perform PIT maneuvers takes a tremendous amount of vehicle control. An officer has to match the suspect's speed, get into the right position, make a controlled contact, and still recover their own patrol car afterward. That's just the physical part of it. Knowing when not to attempt a PIT can be just as important as knowing how to perform one. Most properly executed PIT maneuvers result in relatively minor damage to the patrol car. But, when you're dealing with a suspect like >> Look at this patrol Just the mangled front of this patrol car and the sobering reality of what could have happened if that PIT PIT maneuver went wrong. >> From one of this body cam, it isn't always how it ends. Potentially thousands of dollars in damage, all because she chose to multiply her felonies instead of facing the consequences of a simple traffic stop. >> So, Officer John also gaslit her >> simple traffic stop. >> it was her fault. >> From one of this body cam, it isn't always how it ends. Potentially thousands of dollars in damage, all because she chose to multiply her felonies instead of facing the >> All because she chose to multiply her felonies. If from the perspective of law enforcement, it's always going to be your fault. It's never going to be the law enforcer's fault. I do want to hear what you guys have to say about this. Do you think it's legitimate for somebody to attempt a PIT maneuver like that 15 times on the open roadway, putting everybody else's lives in jeopardy? Would you do it? Would you ever become a police officer? If you were a police officer, how would you act on the road? Would you think that you would want your family on the same road as a police officer who's actually trying to initiate one of these PIT maneuvers? Because it seems super dangerous to me, super unnecessary, and super criminal because the woman had not committed any kind of crime, and she wasn't even suspected of committing a real crime. And by real crime, I mean actually leaving a victim.
