Your friend is laughing over here. She knows that you're struggling here. >> Officer, I know you want me to take the field sobriety test cuz I was the one driving drunk, but can my friend do it? >> I'd like to take you through some standardized field sobriety tests to see if you're safe to drive home tonight. Is that something >> friend do it? >> Tell you what, why don't you cut me some slack, officer? I just need a break. >> Well, I just need a break. I just need a break. >> Adriana, we're we're past that point at this from where we are. I need to know, are you willing to do the standardized field sobriety test? >> I'll tell you what, I'm hungry and I need to get something to eat. So, let me go get something to eat and then I'll come back and do the test. How about that? >> So, can I go and eat and then can we like let me eat and then >> That's how it works, Adriana. >> Would it help if I told you I was a uh federal officer? >> So, like I'm a a nice officer and then I'm a federal officer and then you know, like I can't >> What? >> Like I can't do anything. >> I work for ICE. ICE. >> ICE ICE [music] baby. >> ICE ICE >> baby. >> I know that we all knew the bar was super low, but it turns out the bar is so low in the hiring process for federal agents, specialists had to conduct an archaeological dig just to find the buried bar this chick had to trip over so that she could start collecting tax cattle funded paychecks. And you're going to be pissed when you see how reckless, stupid, and dangerous she is. This is ICE deportation officer Adriana Escobedo Torres. On the night before Thanksgiving on November 27th, 2024, Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies pulled her over after allegedly making an improper turn onto San Mateo Drive and swerved between lanes before turning into a restaurant. And not only was this ice chick stupid drunk, she was driving drunk with her loaded service weapon in the vehicle. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to answer the question, what would happen to you or I if we did the exact same thing. Will Adriana at least lose her job over this? Let's watch this video together and I'll make some comments along the way. >> An off-duty ICE agent was out cruising the town before a sheriff's deputy pulled over the ICE agent in Albuquerque, New Mexico for her erratic driving behavior. The off-duty agent was identified as Adriana Escobedo Torres. >> You can slow it down. The back window? Hello. Oh. >> Good evening. >> Hi. >> Can I get your license, registration, insurance? >> I'm trying to get it to you right now. Mhm. >> How's your You got ears your ladies evening going tonight? >> Good. >> Good. >> you? >> Good. Thank you. What's that? >> It's going to be a very good night before Thanksgiving. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah, that's been pretty busy. Yeah. What are you guys out doing? >> We're just going to get some dinner. >> So >> We're going home. >> Oh, okay. Where are you guys coming from? Huh? What? >> I like talking to him and he said a lot of that. Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. >> She's visiting. She's from El Paso. >> Okay. >> Yeah, that's why my cousin was like, "Oh, you're here." >> Where'd you guys go? So you guys Did you take her out and show her the town? >> Yeah, but then we're going home now. >> And The uh the card. Yeah, cuz >> it doesn't So, what you showed me didn't have a expiration date on it. >> Oh, okay. I didn't know that. I think we go back and then switch it. >> So, what was what was funny about when I asked you where you guys were coming from? That's It made It made me >> no. I mean, you know, we're just here getting food and then from here we're going home and then that's it. >> Oh, nothing was funny, senior. We're just coming from a bar. We're plastered. We're drunk and we're driving down the road and endangering lives, but nothing is funny about that, huh? >> No, but where were you coming from? Before you came here. >> Yeah, yeah. So, we are we were at um What is that place at? There's like my coworker likes to go out of this place. Oh, it's like the uh Billy's. >> Oh, Billy's. >> Yeah, he told me it's like "Oh, Billy's is like so good." So, we went to Billy's and then it's like, "No, I'm driving home right now." >> Well, I saw you turn off of Osuna, though. >> Is that it? >> Well, you came from Osuna and Billy's is way down by by down San Mateo. So, like that would that would have been weird that you came from Billy's. >> Oh, it's like right there. >> But, your friend is laughing over here. She knows that you're struggling here. >> No, it's not. She's from El Paso. Yeah, I'm visiting her. >> You're from El Paso, but you know >> No, no, no. That's the place that I've been visiting. I don't even know if I know the streets. So, >> She's from El Paso. >> I was just like I mean, I went to Billy's and then like I was just getting food and then home. >> So, so you went to Billy's. >> Mhm. >> But, you didn't turn onto San Mateo way after Billy's. >> It's like everything is there. >> Huh? >> Like for me, everything is like there. >> Well, that doesn't make any sense. If If you're coming from Billy's, just say you come from Billy's, but that's not But, that's But, I saw you cuz you turned right in front of me and that's why I know that you're like if you're coming from Belen you'd have to come from the other direction. How long have you lived here Adriana in Albuquerque? >> Um since I was 18. I live here with my >> Oh, perfect. That's what we need. Are you guys family members or you Just friends you're friends? >> So I know her since like first grade. >> Okay. >> Do you have any friends from first grade? >> Yeah. I do have some. Yeah, couple. >> Are you from here? >> No. No, I'm from northern New Mexico. >> I'm like Espanola? >> That's exactly it. >> Espanola that's like so rough. Espanola they say like there's a lot of drugs over there. >> It's it's a it's a little like it's like a little like El Paso. GUYS YEAH. I WENT to college in Las Cruces. I know about I know about El Paso. I went to college in Las Cruces. Texas doesn't even claim El Paso. Texas Texas doesn't even claim El Paso. No, no, no. Look, hey hey I have no I I completely agree Espanola is completely ghetto but but so is El Paso. Adriana so so so we're joking around and stuff but so how many how much have you had to drink tonight? >> I I'm at work. >> So okay hold on hold on. Okay, so what does that not really mean? How many drinks have you had? Cuz I definitely can smell it. >> [laughter] >> I can't like I tell you like it's just like once and then that's it. >> You know you got to be a dumbass law enforcer to answer that question. You never answer that question in the affirmative because if you do, you just incriminated yourself. She's not only not the sharpest knife in the drawer, she's not even in the kitchen. >> Once >> When what? >> One drink. >> Okay, well what was the drink? >> I'm trying it was just like a White Claw. >> A White Claw, okay. What time was that White Claw? >> It was like a It was like 8:00. >> At 8:00? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> And then nothing since then? >> Mhm. >> And where did you have that White Claw at? >> Uh like Billy's. >> At Billy's? Were you coming from in that? >> Yeah, Billy's and then home and then that's it. >> Okay. So ma'am, the reason I pulled you over tonight is when I saw you driving, you were driving in both lanes. So you turned in front of me and when I turned around you were in both lanes. Um the middle lane and the and the right lane. >> Okay. >> So and then you came back over and then you pulled in here, okay. That's why I pulled you over tonight and I do smell that odor of alcohol. So thank you for for um >> Yeah. >> you know, being truthful with me. Uh can you do me a favor and put your phone down for me? >> Yes, I will. >> Okay. >> I will. >> Okay. Put your left hand right here for me. >> Mhm. >> Right here. Right here. Right. Your left hand right here. There you go. Your right hand right here. Something sneaky sticky on your door. Okay, turn your body towards me. Oh, oh, turn Actually, take off your seatbelt. I didn't realize this was on. You have running inches on your car. >> Oh, I do. I do. >> Okay. So turn your turn your whole body towards me. Put your put your hands here like I said. Left hand right here. Right hand right here. And lean forward. Lean forward. Okay. See it's in my finger? >> Yeah, yeah. >> With your with your eyes Okay, lean a little more forward cuz I don't want you to do that. There you go. Okay. See it's in my finger? With your eyes and your eyes I don't want you to follow to my finger, okay? >> Yeah, yeah. I do. >> Keep looking at it. >> Okay. >> Don't don't Okay. So um Iyana, I need you to look straight ahead. Keep your head still. Follow it to my finger with your eyes and your eyes only, okay? >> I am following you. >> Don't turn your head, Iyana. >> Okay. That's eyes. That's eyes. >> Don't turn your head, please. >> No, no, no, I'm not >> Don't turn your head, please. >> It's just so scary. >> Okay. Look, what I'm trying to finish If we can get through this quickly, I can get you on your way, okay? But you But if you keep talking and and turning your head, then I can't do do what I need to do, okay? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Sit tight for me. Try to pull up that interest for me, okay? Iyana, not only did she answer the question about drinking in the affirmative, but she also submitted to field sobriety test at least one step, one portion of the field sobriety test. This chick must have donuts for brains. Can you come here, please? Can you come here, please? >> I have I have four like interest guard hairs. >> Okay. Come here, please. >> He's going to observe how she walks across the parking lot from her vehicle to his. >> The door open. >> It's here? >> Yes. >> It's here. >> The door open. >> So, I got it. Yeah. >> Two fingers inside. Perfect. Thank you. Okay, let's let's walk over here. Iyana. Okay, Iyana. So, look Okay. >> No, no, no, I know. I know. >> Um did you Can you spit out your gum for me? >> Mhm. >> Can you spit it out for me? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Please. >> Did you Did you spit it out? >> Yes, sir. Yeah. So, please, sir. I It was I'm asking you, please, please, please. >> so so here's here's what I've seen. I saw you Okay, you keep moving. Just Just get in >> I'm I'm here. I'm just staying here. >> Okay, and turn and face me, please. Turn and face me. Okay. All right, let's talk for a second, okay? The whole time I'm watching this, I'm just thinking she is a federal agent. She exercises power and authority over other people as a deportation agent. I saw when I saw you driving, okay? Obviously, as we're talking, I could smell that odor of alcohol coming from you. Even out here, I can still smell it, okay? Um >> It's fine. >> So, what I'm I am concerned about your ability to drive home tonight, okay? So, what I'd like to do is I'd like to take you through some standardized field sobriety tests to see if you're safe to drive home tonight. >> And my friend do it? >> Can she do the test? No, no, well, see what See, you're already driving, okay? So, that was the That's the thing. >> Yeah. >> So, um >> Mhm. >> Are Are you willing to do some standardized field sobriety tests to help me determine whether or not you're safe to drive home tonight? >> Aw. Can my friend do it? I just like want you to help me right now because this is is hard for me. >> Okay. Well, how many how many beers did you actually have? Or wine glass? >> one. It was just one. Like that's when I'm going to like ask you like, "Please, like help me because it was just one." >> Okay. So, so >> It wasn't like that bad, so >> Well, from what I saw you driving in the in the in the two lanes and then the the smell and what I saw with your eyes, all of those things are giving me an indication. So, what I'd like to do is see if you're able to perform these tests well so that we can see if we can get you on your way or >> like I just want to like park and then leave it alone and then go home. You know, like I'll get an Uber if you want me to. >> Well, by the way, I just looked it up. The average annual income for an ICE agent in New Mexico is $42.04 per hour, $87,433 a year that people like Adriana make. $87,000 tax cattle dollars annually. >> I just need a break. I just need a break. >> Adriana, we're we're past that point at this from where we are. So, I need you to make a decision on whether or not you'd be willing to perform these standardized field sobriety tests. >> I love hearing a law enforcement agent tell another law enforcement agent, "We're past that point." >> Because, like, I feel that you are like targeting me right now. >> I'm not How could I target you? >> That is ironically rich coming from an ICE agent. I just feel like you're targeting me. >> Because >> a Hispanic ICE agent. >> Like, you will say, like, "Oh, I I do I see this. I see that." Like, >> Yeah, what I'm I'm explaining to you all the indicators on why I'm asking you to do these tests. It's actually I'm I'm I'm being very forthright with you to explain to you. I'm seeing you this, and that's why I would I'm asking you to do these additional things. So, if I didn't see those things, I wouldn't ask you to do any additional tests. That's why I'm asking you so that you understand. >> I I am understanding, but it's like it's I just feel like unnecessary. Because, like, I Right now, I'm here because I want to get us some food, you know, and let's eat, and let's That's it. >> Okay, but you were already driving, Adriana. So, we're we're past the point we're past We're we're past the point. You were already on the road. I already observed you driving. I already observed all of that. So, I need to know, are you willing to do the standardized field sobriety tests? >> So, can I go and eat, and then can we like >> Okay, here here here Okay. I I know you keep wanting to say can you go eat. So, where we are right now is we're in a traffic stop and you're being legally detained for the purposes of this for the purpose of this investigation, okay? I'm presenting you with two options, okay? One, you perform the standard field sobriety tests. Two, you don't perform them. I cannot force you to do it, okay? But, you have to make a a decision one way or the other, Aiyana. >> It's like I do want to comply with you. You know, it's like I'm not saying I'm not. I just Let me eat and then >> That's how it works, Aiyana. What the >> Oh, it's just it's cold. >> Okay. So, are you willing to do those tests or not? >> It's cold. Let me eat. Can my passenger perform the test for me? Can I call my first-grade friend and have her come down and do the field sobriety test for me? >> No. >> Can you help me out, officer, please? >> You're not willing to? >> No, let me eat and then I'll do what I have to do. >> Okay. Do me a favor, go put your hands behind your back. >> How many people has she done this to in the course of her career? >> Mhm. So, what we're going to do, I am taking you into custody for DWI, okay? Um you'll eventually end up at MDMDC later tonight. Okay? Well, you're we're already at the point where you where Remember I explained it all to you? >> I am, yeah. I am but >> We're past that point, Adriana. All right, let's go. So you just you have your you have your phone in your pocket. You have any anything in these pockets here? >> Mhm, no. It No, no, no, this. >> You have something >> whatever you want me to do. Tell me. >> What's that? Is that like Is that like tissue or what is that? >> It's like a That's fine. Because I'm going to be this. Yeah. >> Okay. I'll be right with you. >> Please, please, please, sir. >> Adriana >> Please. >> Is anything Do you have anything Oh, hold this in your Listen to me. Do you Do you have anything in your bra line? In your bra or anything? Okay. >> no, no, no, I don't. Please, please, please, sir. >> I need you to sit down, please. >> Please. Sir, sir, I'm asking you, please. >> Okay. >> What can we do? >> I I I gave you two options. >> I can't I can't do this sobriety test. >> Okay. Put your feet in Put your feet in, please. Put your feet in. We're We're at We're past that point there. >> Are we Can we Can we fix this? You can fix this. Um We can fix this. I promise you. >> We can fix this, officer. Well, at least Adriana hasn't pulled her ice card yet. Stay tuned. It's coming. Sorry for my reach here. I'm just trying to fix this for you. Um Going to open your mouth for me? Lift up your tongue. Okay. >> Please. Can we fix >> 2354 >> Can we fix >> Bedroll agent, guys. Give me 1 second, okay? Do you have a wa- Do you have a wallet in your car? Got one back there. Hello, ma'am. Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Do you Do you know where her wallet is? I don't want to hold her purse, but um so what I need from you is I need you to call for a ride, okay? >> Can we park Does the Jeep right here? >> I'm just going to forward through this right here. This isn't really pertinent. >> Sir, please. Like I'm a Let me tell you. Let me Let me talk to you about it. >> Here we go. >> Like I'm a a nice officer. And then I'm a federal officer. And then, you know, like I can't >> Why? >> Like I can't I work for ICE. >> Okay. >> And then there's my gun, you know, like in the Jeep. >> Where is your your weapon? We'll take it with us. Okay, what is your I'm I'm going to I have to tag it into evidence. I can't leave it. >> Hey, sir. >> Josh. >> Can we >> Is it under your Where is it? >> No, like let me >> the weapon? Where is the weapon? I need >> It's in like under the seat in the back. >> Josh. Josh, there's a 1080 in I think in the back seat. >> But she doesn't know about it. Like my friend, she doesn't know. >> Okay, that's fine. >> So the code is like a >> So So she can >> Can I please >> We would immediately go to jail. We would lose our ability to carry a firearm. They would throw the book at you and I. >> Sir, can I please like talk to you? >> I'll come back and talk to you. Let me give you this so she can get going. All right. >> Can I talk to my partner? >> Who's your partner? >> Uh he is in my office. He's in my phone. >> Okay, well Um I'll let you I'll let you make a phone call after we take care of the administrative administrative stuff that we're going to take care of. >> Okay. >> We got to go through all this stuff, man. I'm willing to work with you, let you make a call, but we have to I have to go go through my procedures. Are you Okay, I need an answer, yes or no, on the test. >> So you want me to do the test right now? >> I want you So what I Did you Did you not understand what I read you? >> No, no, I know. I know. >> So this pertains directly to you, the breath test. >> Okay. So you want me to do the breath test right now? >> That's That's correct. >> It's just Let me make a call and then I can decide. >> It's a yes or no. It's not about making a a phone call or anything like that. >> I'm just, you know, like asking for a break because like I'm a federal officer. >> I look, I really I'm I'm I'm really sympathizing with your position and I'm willing to give you a phone call after we go through my procedures. You know everything we do is recorded. I can't make special exceptions for people and I can't >> makes me think that if it wasn't recorded and he found out she was a federal officer, he would have let her free, Scott free, no problem, no questions asked. But because it's recorded, he's a little constrained right now. >> and do you think that are outside of our our our standard operating procedures. So I'm So I'm I'm willing to work with you, but I can't do things that are that would in any way compromise my you know, myself or or the or my department or anything like that. So I'm I'm willing to work with you. I'll let you make a phone call after we're done, but I need an answer on whether or not you're willing to perform do the breathalyzer. [clears throat] No? Is that a yes or no? >> No, I just need to know. >> Huh? >> No, I just need to make a phone call. >> Okay. Cool. >> Do you want the holster? >> No, I'll just leave the holster. >> Uh there's one in the chamber, but it was within a little like a little fanny pack. >> Okay. >> And then it was underneath the seat like kind of >> Is it in hers underneath hers or the back seat? >> Uh back rear seat. >> Okay, cool. >> It was in the floorboard underneath the the back seat. >> Okay, cool. Thank you. For clarification, is that your personnel um firearm or is that your your duty weapon that you use for work? >> That's my duty weapon. Someone's calling. see it. Can I see it? Oh, no. >> No. >> Okay. Uh yeah, this is my duty weapon. >> Your duty weapon. Where it's ready for the breath sample, okay? When that >> Can I just say nothing screams I'm a DEI hire like Adriana Escobedo Torres? >> I have a So, I got two brand new mouthpieces, okay? Can you look up at me? >> Yes. >> So, I got brand new mouthpieces, okay? So, when when that stop when that comes after that, I'm going to put it on this hose and I'm going to let you know it's time to give a breath sample. While we're in that window, it's about a two two and a half minute window. You You have You can You can change your mind and and comply if you'd like to. Um uh once it times out, then it's the test is over, okay? >> Adriana Escobedo Torres was charged in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court with aggravated DUI. She refused a breath test, failure to maintain a traffic lane, improper turning at an intersection, no driving drunk with a loaded weapon, I noticed on the report. As of mid-September 2026, reporting by the Santa Fe New Mexican and KRQE, the case was still pending and had not gone to trial. Her attorney has sought to suppress evidence, of course, arguing the stop was unlawful and has asked that some information be sealed, citing safety concerns from media attention. No public disciplinary action by ICE or DHS has even been reported. Agency policies are not public, and local reporting states it's unclear whether she faced any internal discipline. Court and agency records show that she continued to work as an ICE deportation officer, including field arrests and fugitive operations in Santa Fe and elsewhere in northern New Mexico through the nearly 2 years after the charges were filed. Adriana Escobedo Torres has been an ICE agent since 2021. Guys, it blows my mind that people like this could even ever be federal agents.
