I've got one of the craziest and
funniest Sovereign cities and traffic
stops slash arrest videos I think I've
ever covered on this channel and it all
stems from a simple traffic stop for no
real light but quickly escalate when the
passenger who is wound tighter than
Madonna's latest facelift pulls out a
huge ass dictionary and interferes with
the traffic stop and when confronted
runs into his mother's house to a dead
arrest
right let's get into the video

sir
you got a driver's license I'm Deputy
Peters with I'm Deputy Peters with the
Smith County Sheriff's Office reason for
the stop today your tail lights were not
working as you were driving on the road
okay
and then you immediately fall into a
residence I literally have a claim that
tail lights are not a crime
I'm not involved in the traffic code I
have a notice here I literally have a
lawsuit going on with Nassau PD okay and
signed by the judge this is his dad's
house he's also not driving drives the
commercials I'm not driving it's the
kind of commissioner's house County
Clerk we just put it in yeah and none of
that has any relevance to you being
stopped for driving without tail lights
Which tail light is that it was both of
them which one both of your tail lights
none of them were working as you were
driving on the roadways do you have a
driver's license sir I'm not driving I'm
outside of your jurisdiction actually
who do you work with the Smith County
Sheriff's Office yeah the sheriff's
County yes sir do you have any form with
ID or driver's license I do but I don't
have to present it you do at this point
in time because you have committed stops
you have committed a traffic offense you
were driving a vehicle code I'm not here
to argue with you
I've got a dictionary
I'm not involved in the traffic code
here it comes he actually thinks the
deputy is going to take his attention
away from what is at this point a simple
traffic stop to go through definitions
in a big ass dictionary yeah
versus the definition of traveling
there's a there's a dictionary okay you
let's use this term you were operating a
vehicle on a public roadway on a public
roadway I'm not sir he's right now he he
is being stopped okay you have no
involvement okay well actually I'm
actually just being a concerned citizen
because I know that that's fine okay so
I'm actually just watching if you want
to be a concert if you want to be a
concerned citizen add your car please
okay this is actually case law this is
case and that's fine
that's not that right now that's not
where we're covering you actually don't
need it you have a driver's license
emergency do you have because if there's
not actually a crime or a victim then
you actually trust yourself red and blue
lights you're actually trespassing on
private properties okay oh my dares do
you know it's mind-boggling to me how
two people can be so wrong about this
many things and still have the ability
to walk and talk no he's not trespassing
yes you do need a license yes he can use
emergency lights to pull you over for
driving without lights on a public

heard all the commotion going on outside

not under arrest you are being detained

what I'm trying to do is get his ID
because he was driving in vehicles
this is not about you okay this is with
him you keep saying the wrong where's
your driver's license
can I get it for you where is it at
under duress where's your driver shaking
and it's making me where's your driver's
license you're making me nervous yet
that's called adrenaline it happens when
you're involved in an extremely tense
situation like this he doesn't know who
the guy screaming is or what he's
capable of I think anybody would feel
like this in this situation out of the
four of you though the deputy is the
only one being calm and rational under
duress it's in my pocket in my pocket
I'm not giving you jurisdiction because
I'm not operating under the commercial
okay that that's we're beyond that right

where's your driver's license
because right now when I stepped out of
the vehicle he refused to ID okay what
I'm trying to do is identify him once he
once I get his identification so I
pulled him I pulled him over man wait

ID through a license test no I don't no
matter
yeah that's not how that works anyway
the driver isn't always the registered
Keeper of the vehicle that's why laws
requiring the driver to identify exist
okay let's we're gonna step back over

beyond the point of what's happening I'm

with the traffic stop it's not a traffic

trouble can you talk to your supervisor
it's a traffic stop if I'm a U.S citizen
I'm not a U.S citizen do you have some
form of an ID
yeah you are a US citizen and saying
you're not doesn't magically mean the
law doesn't apply to you anymore even if
you weren't a citizen you would still be
subject to the law I'm not a citizen of
the United States but if and when I do
visit there I would be subject to the
same laws as everybody else it's
delusional to think you can just opt out
of the law because you read something on
a website
you've said it was in your wallet
correct
says he doesn't have any weapons while
carrying around a heavy dictionary
what have I done that was disrespectful
to you no grab me you're shaking my
hands up my hands aren't handcuffs I
haven't committed what crime do you
suspect of being committed right now
do you know the definition of a crime is
it in your wallet your ID
you're gonna you're searching is not his
wallet you know

if he's saying that he's not gonna let
me go on this then you can present to
them

your buddy here into a pair of handcuffs
of course can you tell me what your idea

grown man who is not only dumb enough to
escalate a simple traffic stop runs into
his house sorry his mother's house then
calls out for his mama's help just let
that sink in for a second

the handcuffs go on the long list of
injuries and ailments suddenly
materialize maybe you should have
thought about that before playing stupid
games

conducted a traffic stop on this vehicle
I don't know if that's your son
man came out in his interviewing ma'am

you're absolutely spot on it didn't need
to go this far but that's a conversation
you should be having with your son not
the deputy as a passenger he inserted
himself into an aggressively obstructed
the traffic stop so maybe you know have
a word

so what what what's this guy did so Cody
I pulled him over it was it was a
traffic stop oh let's step over here so
I can speak with you

driving the uh vehicle over here
the vehicle had no tail lights
simple stop I was going to get out with
him explain to him hey you're already at
your residence it's gonna be a simple
warning I don't who who is this this is
my son your son right there okay what's
his name Derek Derek Derek stepped out
started interjecting into the traffic
stop yelling preventing me from
continuing my stop with Cody
okay at that point in time uh my partner
showed up we attempted to detain Derek
due to interfering with public services
that's when he ran into the house we had
to follow him into the house
and at that point in time
look at this law figured out yeah he he
probably don't think any rights coming
into towns or whatever so well he was
out here interfering with the traffic
stop and when we went to try to detain
them he ran into the house and at that
point in time we don't know if he's
going to retrieve weapons we don't know
exactly what's going on so well you know
me being on this stop I don't I don't
know what's going on
um so Cody's and Cuffs in the backseat
of my car
um he was just detained because he
failed ID
he's not going to be placed in the jail
or anything like that but he failed the
ID
that's what started this whole Fiasco
yeah
right so I think that's what I'm going
to leave this one they were both
arrested the driver was arrested for
refusing to ID Phillips the passenger
was arrested and charged with resisting
arrest interfering with public duties
and evading arrest or detention he has
since been released from the Smith
County jail on a total bond amount of 4
500 but his mother as Smith County Clerk
has since been charged with interfering
in public duties she turned herself into
the Smith County jail on Tuesday so for
