Why do cops like this feel such a need to lie? Especially about something that's so easy to verify is a lie. >> Technically, anytime we contact somebody >> Mhm. >> they need to IDENTIFY THEMSELVES. >> IT'S A DAMN LIE AND YOU KNOW IT. >> NO, THEY DON'T. >> YES. >> NO. Not unless they're suspected of committing a crime, have committed a crime, or about to commit a crime. Unless you have reasonable articulable suspicion. Any >> law enforcement academy or law school? >> I'm not going to answer that question >> because you haven't. And did you know that you could actually bait law enforcement into a trap just by exercising your American rights? >> Right now you're instigating. >> I'm not instigating, sir. >> You're baiting law enforcement into a trap? >> No, sir. I'm not. >> Yeah. Yeah, you are. A masked man with a dangerous fully automatic assault camera legally stands on a public rideway to record the PBLO County Sheriff's Department facilities and whatever his eyes can see from a public place. I'm sure this simple exercise of American freedom will be no problem for the deputies of this constitutionhonoring department. And they would never even think to ask for this man's ID because they are single-mindedly focused on protecting his anonymity in this expanding police and surveillance state. But who knows? Let's see what happens and we'll make some comments along the way. See what this guy officer wants. sir, >> how you doing? >> The reason why I'm here making contact with you is because people called in and said that you were actually suspicious. >> Okay. Is just wearing a mask, videotaping suspicious. So what can you ask the purpose why you're videotaping here? >> Am I being detained? >> Huh? >> Am I being detained? >> Okay. Then I don't answer questions and I don't want to talk to you, sir. If I'm not breaking a law, if I am, please let me know. I I as far as I'm aware, I'm not breaking any laws and I don't intend to. Um, but if I'm not being detained, I don't intend to talk to you or answer any questions. >> If you're if you aren't doing anything wrong, >> then why are you wearing a mask? because I don't want to be identified. >> So then what's the purpose of you filming? >> If you aren't doing anything wrong, officer, why are you wearing a costume, a gang costume, and a gang badge? Just getting pictures of the county sheriff's office being filmed. >> That's okay. It's fine. There's been multiple people that driven by and taking pictures of me. >> I didn't call in about them being suspicious or the guy that stopped in the middle of the highway here. >> Can Can you do one thing for me? >> What's that? With your right hand, can you lift your shirt and show me your weight? Turn around. >> Am I being detained? >> You're not being detained. >> Do I have to do >> handcuffs? Do I have to lift my shirt and turn around? >> It would make us >> I'd prefer not to. >> Are you worried? >> Officer, can you please keep your hands out of your pockets? >> Worried that you're >> No, I'm just not going to subject. >> Why would you comply? >> Because I'm not going to give up any of my rights because you're asking me to. >> You have no idea what rights you have. >> I do know. No, because then why why are you still >> What do you mean? >> I know what right to have. I'm not being defensive, sir. >> Oh, yeah. >> I'm standing here. I told you I did not want to talk to you unless I was being >> detained and for years. Would you please show me your waist? >> Am I being detained? >> Am I free to go? >> Do you know what the definition of being detained is? >> I do. >> Then what is it? >> It's the fact that you have reasonable cause suspecting me of committing, have committed, or about to commit a crime and you're detaining me under a Terry stop. That means >> I'm not detaining you. You're not detaining me, so I'm free to go. >> Are you in handcuffs? >> I'm not. Cannot walk away. >> Then you're not detained. >> Cannot walk away, sir. >> Well, we we do need to find out what your name is and identity. >> Burge. Thank you, sir. And Mullen. >> Deputy Mullen. >> Thank you. You You don't need to find out what my name is, sir. Unless I'm breaking the law. I don't have to uh give that to you. >> Uh it's camaraderie. Yeah, you do. >> No, I don't. Unless you suspect me of committing a crime. Can I speak to one of your supervisors, please? Sure. I would like a supervisor out here because you're wrong on that, sir. Colorado does not stop an identified state. Unless you suspect me of committing a crime, having committed a crime, or about to commit a crime, you cannot stop me. You cannot detain me. You cannot require ID for me. >> And remember, while they're pausing right here to think about what this guy just said, cops come with the implied threat of force. I mean, they are uniformed men with guns who have a long history and are notorious for extorting people, hurting people, and ending people's lives. So, the implied threat of force is there. It's present. Even when they don't do it with their words, they leverage their power and their authority against you, and it's an everpresent intimidation tactic while they attempt to violate your rights. This gentleman is requesting to speak with the supervisor. this male party supervisor, sir. >> Why? Why would you like to talk to the supervisor? >> Because this officer just said I had to show ID in the state of Colorado and I do not. >> He's refusing to [clears throat] identify himself. >> He's refusing to let us make him insecure in his person by violating his Fourth Amendment rights. Could you get a supervisor down here? Just such awkward silence. How much are you getting paid, officer? 30 $35 an hour. >> So, you work for I don't answer questions. I don't answer questions that don't relate to a citation or arrest. >> Well, earlier you said you don't want to answer any questions. So, I'm just trying to carry >> Well, under Colorado state law, if you arrest me, I do have to identify myself, which I would do if I was cited for a law or being placed under arrest. So, unless I am breaking a law or being placed under arrest or cited for breaking a law, I'm not going to provide ID. pretty clear. >> I didn't say why. >> I'm not going to answer personal questions. You guys have badge numbers or employee numbers? >> Sure. >> Can you uh supply it to me? >> Can you supply your name and ID? >> I don't have to under Colorado state law, sir. I don't know if it's your department policy or not. >> Okay. So, what statute number is that under? So I can look that up. >> You said you know it. >> I don't need to know the statute that says I don't have to provide ID. There's a statute that says no. >> I don't you you have to site the law that says I have to provide ID. [snorts] >> There's no law that says I there is no law that says I have to not provide that I cannot provide ID. There is a law that states that I have to provide ID in certain situations. This is not one of those situations. I don't have to cite that. I don't have to site that. >> Hope you don't know it. There's no shame in that. >> And besides that, who [snorts] cares what the state laws are or any other law if it's a law that's repugnant to the Constitution, it's null and void, right? The only law you really need to know is the Supreme Law. If you know the Supreme Law, which is supposed to be the Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights, specifically the Fourth Amendment, I have the right to be secure in my person. Who are you to make me insecure when you took an oath to secure that right? >> I don't know the number. I don't know the section of the site. I could easily find that for you. >> I know what the law says. >> Is that correct? >> I do not know the citation number or the statute number for you, sir. No, I do not. >> I know what the law says. You have to back that up with the statute. >> No, I don't. >> Yes, you do. >> No, I don't. I'm a civilian and a citizen of the United States on public property uh doing a First Amendment act. I don't have to back up any claim that I make. You as officer have to back up what you're >> I don't have to state that. >> I'm sorry. >> I don't have to state that. >> He knows he's check this. This cop knows he's checkmated. He knows it. It's written all over his face. He's just being dishonest and he's trying to abuse and leverage his power against an American that he's supposed to be protecting and serving. >> Is there any way I can get a copy of that video? >> No, there's not. There's no crime being commit committed. Therefore, it is not evidence. >> No. >> No big deal. I mean, >> you can check uh First Amendment Strike Team on YouTube and send me an email there. >> And that is who this is. This is First Amendment Strike Team. I will leave the link in the description for you. We're going to continue. >> What's your email address? >> You if you go to First Amendment Strike Team on YouTube, you can find it. I don't. >> You don't? First Amendment Strike Team. Mhm. >> Okay. >> You can check that out. >> So, >> I'm out here doing a First Amendment audit on your police department. You guys are failing right now, just so you know. >> Yep. >> You guys are going to be YouTube famous tomorrow. >> Okay. Well, in that case, I'm Deputy Mullen with PBLO County Sheriff's Office. >> This is my cohort, Deputy Bert. My >> my cohort. >> I've already got your names. So is the camera. Yeah. That's right. I have all day, sir. >> I should have said my partner in crime. Speeding this up a little bit. >> I don't know if it matters to you guys, but I will say that uh compared to other police departments, you guys are much more professional and courteous in this situation than most are. >> But professional tyranny is still what? Oh, yeah. That's right. It's still tyranny. Even though I still feel like you're violating my rights right now, but >> how are we violating your rights? >> You're You tried to stop me from recording. You tried to make me ID myself. You tried to perform a uh cherry search without actually placing your hands on me by getting me to lift up my shirt and turn around. But your demeanors are very very well professional and courteous. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Police department have you been at? >> I'm not going to answer that question. >> That's why I cover my face now, cuz too many police officers know me by name. >> Oh, really? >> Yep. >> County or city or both? >> Multiple. >> Multiple. >> Mhm. >> Sure. It's a nice day. >> It is [clears throat] much warmer than it was this morning. It was. >> Don't you guys feel like this is a waste of time to be standing out here right now? >> Oh, well, if I'm free to go, you can call supervisor. >> All right. Thank you guys. You can have a good good day. You can call supervisor. I want supervisor. You told me I'd myself under Colorado law. >> Okay. If do you have an ETA on? >> I'm sorry. >> Do you have an ETA? >> That's why I said earlier it was going to be >> Okay. Well, if it's if it's going to be longer than five minutes, I'm I'm going to be on my way. Then, >> if they really believe that the guy was breaking a law by not providing his ID, they would have already put this guy in handcuffs. They know they're in the wrong. They are standing there in the wrong. And the fact that they won't admit they're wrong tells you everything you need to know about their personal integrity level. That's why you should never give people like this power and authority. >> It's county. It doesn't infringe on my rights. >> So, do you think you have the right to walk into a bank with your face covered like that? >> Maybe if the if the private business owner allows that. This is public property. >> Have the right to do it. They basically made you do it from 2020 through 2023 during the convid 1984 by George Orwell scam. This is not a private business. Apples oranges, buddy. >> Yep. >> I understand. But how are they threatened when there's nobody out here? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. What? safe as much as you have the first amendment right. >> So, uh, does somebody have the right to call the police or somebody open carrying a handgun because they're scared or feel unsafe? >> Are you going to respond to that as well? Well, Deni versus Wnebago County and Gonzalez versus Castle Rock shows there two Supreme Court cases that shows that cops are not obligated in any way, shape, or form to protect or keep anyone safe. >> Are you guys going to respond to an openly carried >> to an openly carried handgun? Even do you uh detain people for openly carrying handguns? >> No. You just make consensual contact and if they don't want to talk to you, they're free to go. They don't have to identify themselves with the exception of being concealed because of course you need a permit for that. Technically, anytime we contact somebody >> Mhm. >> they need to identify themselves. >> No, they don't. >> Yes. >> No. Not unless they're suspected of committing a crime, have committed a crime, or about to commit a crime. Unless you have reasonable, articulable suspicion. >> Law enforcement academy or law school. >> I'm not going to answer that question >> because you haven't. >> That doesn't mean that >> I mean, >> you have no idea what my background is, sir. You can only understand what your rights are if you've been to a police academy or law school. according to what's going on in this guy's cranial structure. >> No, it's not about being proud. Any information I give you regarding that could be used to identify me, which I'm not not willing to have happen. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> So, so what is the law that says that you can't identify me? >> Huh? >> What's the law that says that you can't identify me? >> That we can't >> that you can. >> There is one unless you have reasonable articulus, you cannot identify me. He knows it, right? >> This cop knows that >> right now. We don't know the intent. >> There's no intent. You don't have to know an intent. >> You didn't tell us what you were exactly. >> I don't have to tell you what I'm doing. You actually can't. All you can do is say, "Excuse me, Mr. Videographer. Can we talk to you?" And I can say yes or no. >> So, wait a minute. It's not law enforcement anymore. It's intent enforcement. >> Pass that. You have no right to stop me beyond that. >> Even though >> right now you're instigating. >> I'm not instigating, sir. You're baiting law enforcement into a trap. >> No, sir, I'm not. >> No. Yeah, you are. >> No. >> Baiting law enforcement into a trap by exercising your rights that they swore to protect. Can you make that make sense, officer? >> That's an intimidation tactic by you. >> I'm sorry. >> What trap am I beating you into, sir? >> No, you tell me. You're afraid to be identified. >> You're misquing stakeholders. >> Not misquing anything. >> Number misquing, sir. That just says that I cannot >> honest with you. I can't even. >> Once again, once again, that's not committing a crime. >> I'm not committing any crimes. >> A description of somebody who could be getting ready to commit a crime. >> So, you're profiling anything. >> That could be anybody at any time for any whimsical reason that the cop has. >> The people who called >> profiled me and you followed up on that profile. >> People called you. >> Why did they feel? >> So, therefore, we have to contact and make sure you're not. >> Okay. So, what did I do to threaten them? >> What did I do to threaten them? I'm sorry, my mouth's dry. >> I can't I can't understand. >> What did I do to threaten them? >> I don't know. >> So, you have no idea what the threat was. It literally could have been somebody walking down the street on a bike, but because they felt threatened, you guys came out here. >> Okay. So, that's not reasonable suspicion. >> Okay. So, let's break this down. Okay. We don't know the reason you're out here. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You refused to tell us. You refused the ID. You refused to show me your waistband to make sure that you're not carrying any weapons. >> I did cuz this is not a detention. >> What do you think would happen if you verified, oh, I have no weapons. >> Mhm. >> Look, I have no weapons. >> Doesn't Doesn't matter to me >> because we're not getting to that point. >> Again, this is the land of the free. So, we have the unalienable right to have as many weapons as we want. There is no limit. Right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. And I don't have to show you whether I have a weapon or not. >> Because you're resisting. >> No, I'm not resisting, sir. >> To cooperate. >> No. In order to resist, I would have to be saying >> you're resisting to cooperate. Well, when injustice becomes law, resistance does become duty. Do you agree with that, officer? I am not detained like you said. Therefore, I am not resist resisting. I am refusing to identify myself legally. I am refusing a search legally. I'm refusing to semi- give you a search by lifting up my shirt legally. Everything you asked me to do was within your right to ask me, but none of them you can order me to do unless I'm arrested. >> No, that's what you said. You were in your right to ask me, which you did, but you can't order me to do anything. Look at him standing around. This is so ridiculous. So ridiculous. >> Well, since uh your supervisor is showing up, I'm going to be on my way then. Have a good day, guys. >> And then he walks away and the cops know that there's nothing they can do because they don't have him on anything. They don't even suspect that he's committed a crime. That's the PBLO County Sheriff's Office in Colorado. And yeah, they didn't beat him. They didn't tase him. They didn't kill him, but they tried to pry him away from his rights. And they used intimidation and lies to try to do that. That makes these guys tyrants. Again, this is First Amendment Strike Team. I'll leave the link in the description for you.
