This is an incredibly important followup to a video I did about a month and a half ago highlighting this deputy from the Grant County, New Mexico Sheriff's Office. His name is Alejandro Gomez. He's the psychopath who killed this baby bunny after threatening his fellow deputies with a taser to hand the bunny over, after which he slung it against a taxpayer funded vehicle. If you missed this video right here, you really got to see it. It is mindblowing. It's outrageous. It's incredible that anybody's even having to talk about this right here. So, I'll leave that link in the description for you. But there is a followup. And the reason this is vitally important is because it answers the question, do cops become psychopaths or psychopaths become cops? Because we hear time and time again, you know, the famous quote by Lord Actton that says, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power tends to corrupt." Absolutely. I personally am leaning toward power draws the corruptible. What can you expect when you offer the ring of power to people who are psychopaths who will automatically gravitate toward that power? You mean I get to have a uniform? I get to have a badge. I get to have a gun. I get the authority of the state. Wait a minute. You're gonna give me qualified immunity, too. What could possibly go wrong? Let's listen to this followup. I'm going to make some comments because it really implicates the criminality of the entire sheriff's department from the top down. >> New tonight, four sheriff's deputies in our state are out of their jobs. This comes after disturbing video surfaced showing one of them killing a baby rabbit. And now that person is facing charges and the colleague who reported what happened has also lost his badge. We've got to warn you, the video here is disturbing to watch. >> Now keep that in mind. the guy who showed a little speck of integrity within that police department, a little speck of light in the vast darkness of the entire sheriff's office. He also gets penalized by losing his job. Message. If you blow the whistle on the criminality within this sheriff's department, you will lose your job. Do not blow the whistle on criminals within our department. Bunny, dude. >> You're looking at cell phone video from August 2024. It captured the moment Grant County Sheriff's Deputy Alejandro Gomez killed a baby rabbit and pointed a taser at three fellow deputies. Monday, Grant County Sheriff Raul Vienno confirmed all four deputies were fired. He would not comment further, calling it a personnel matter. >> By the way, I want you to look in this guy's face. He did not terminate those deputies because he was thinking he was doing the right thing. He didn't terminate those deputies because he has any sort of integrity himself. He terminated those deputies because of public backlash and pressure that he got from people who see through the psychopathy of this entire operation. That's the only reason he terminated those deputies. And termination, don't get me wrong, termination is not enough. These cops did this and if you did the same thing these cops did, you would be in jail. Rightly be in jail. We You can't have a community where psychopaths like Alejandro Gomez are out there killing baby bunnies and whatever the hell else he's doing. >> Comment further calling it a personnel matter. However, just this past February, prosecutors charged Gomez with four counts of assault on a police officer and one count of extreme cruelty to animals. When that video was recorded, we're told the deputies were on an overtime operation when they spotted a baby rabbit. >> This makes matters even worse. So, they're bleeding the tax cattle of overtime, similar to state trooper Brian Fehee. He's a goddamn state trooper. I'm a goddamn Connecticut state troop. >> You spit in my face. >> Bleeding resources from the community. And while they're bleeding the resources, while they're sucking up all that overtime, they're doing the most cruel things that you can possibly imagine as they masquerade as protectors and servants of the people. That's what's going on here. And it gets even worse because you consider the fact that every one of them had body cameras rolling and activated and they still could not they didn't have enough shame. They did not have enough personal awareness and they had zero compassion and empathy to the point where even on camera they committed their cruel acts. If they can't even stop being cruel when the cameras are rolling, what the hell kind of things are they doing when they don't think they're being recorded? This is so egregious and infuriating. >> Shows them taking photos of it. Then a deputy goes to release the animal. >> Let me hold it. >> Let him hold it. >> That's when we hear other deputies tell him to let Gomez hold it. >> Let him hold it. >> You're going to do it. I won't. >> Let me hold it. No, you're gonna effing kill it. So, this cop knows the character of Gomez already. Apparently, officer deputy Alejandra Gomez has already shown what kind of person he actually is, how cruel he is, and what his officers can expect from such a cruel person to the point where no, you're going to kill it. We already know what kind of person you are, Alejandro, but we continue to work with you. We continue to back you. We continue to support you in your thin blue line criminality. This says everything you need to know. This is an undeniably systemic problem within this sheriff's department. >> Moments later, you can see Gomez pull his taser and point it at the deputy who ultimately reported what happened. >> Give it to me right now. >> It was apparently not the first or last time this happened. Court documents indicate Gomez pulled his taser and gun on that same deputy days earlier and he reportedly pointed his gun at him again later that night. The deputy told police he thought the best way to deescalate the situation was to hand over the rabbit. Gomez holds it up for the camera, smiles, then throws the rabbit hard against a vehicle and the animal died. >> So Alejandra is also a liar because he swore, "No, I'm not going to hurt it." that goes part and parcel with a badge. You are a liar. You are a deceiver. You're a conniver. You have zero integrity. You have you're 100% filled up with corruption. Your fellow cops know it. They didn't want to hand over the bunny. Everybody else knows it and they're going to cover up for it. And the one time that somebody, I don't know, maybe he had a moment of consciousness, he reports it. He gets fired. Message signed, sealed, and delivered. chief or sheriff, thank you. Thanks for letting us know what kind of person you are." >> Then throws the rabbit hard against a vehicle and the animal died. State police say the deputy who handed the rabbit over reported Gomez to his superiors at the Grant County Sheriff's Office, but nothing happened. It wasn't until he informed state police that charges were filed. >> Wait, did you see this? The Grant County Sheriff's Office conducted an internal affairs investigation into the incident. The internal affairs investigation resulted in no or very little action being taken against the deputies and supervisors involved in the incident detailed above. So the internal affairs investigative team, the entire team saw what happened, saw what you and I saw, witnessed the cruelty and evil and they said, "Well, we investigated ourselves and we found there was no wrongdoing." who the hell is part of that internal affairs investigation team? Because they have no integrity either. >> Nothing happened. It wasn't until he informed state police that charges were filed. >> You know, one of the consistently obvious markers of serial killers is that they have a history of cruelty to animals. A telltale sign of all psychopaths is that they enjoy harming others that are weaker than themselves. If you want to know a man's true character, all you have to do is observe how he treats defenseless creatures. A fellow deputy tried to step forward and do the right thing by exposing this evil, the evil within the department, and the department head returned fire by punishing that deputy with a termination for exposing the corruption within the department. I'm thinking somebody else needs to be investigated and thrown behind bars because there's way more corruption going on here than any of us can possibly realize.
