welcome back to the here's the deal Channel things are going to start out in this video a little bit oh you're hated everyone here doesn't want you here because you're a [ __ ] idiot all right it's a lot of it and it's stays but hang with me because you're gonna see The Vancouver Police Department do something that'll blow your mind wait a minute did they do something they shouldn't do or do they not do something they should do anyway roll the insanity it clearly was uh aggressive violence you suck you you [ __ ] you you're not wanted [ __ ] you you're you're a [ __ ] idiot you're a [ __ ] you have to say it now you're probably wondering how we got to this point first let me just say that editing out all that nonsense was exhausting this is Chris Elston he's an activist you can tell from his sandwich sign that he wears wherever he goes what he's passionate about since that's not really the scope of this video suffice it to say that Chris has idea is and beliefs that obviously conflict with the ideas and beliefs of the people at this Gathering right here unfortunately in this climate of intolerance and frankly breathtaking instability gone are the days where you can throw your ideas out into the public forum and have both sides graciously calmly and rationally debate controversial topics it seems that mere words offend some people on such a deep level that their emotions override their intellect to the point where they begin initiating aggression against the person with whom they disagree in essence this initiation of violence happened because people were offended at words I've seen a lot of footage from this event and not one frame shows Chris Elston being violent getting in anyone's personal space or even raising his voice if you're familiar familiar with Chris's work he's probably one of the most calm laid-back activists I've ever seen so what we've got here is an initiation of violence on a man because certain people were offended by his words and they thought the best way to navigate through these ideological differences is to get inches from this man's face shout profanities and then grab and assault him but this video isn't just about activism or the psychologically disturbing phenomenon taking place in our culture it's about the police response or lack of police response how many times have we heard that The Thin Blue Line gang whether here in Vancouver British Columbia or in the U.S claims to establish a public presence to protect and serve to protect rights and serve up justice if someone commits a clear and obvious crime the cops are supposed to step in in protect the public and exact Justice by punishing the criminal while preserving and protecting rights so we're going to focus on what the cops do when this assault takes place if you want to see the actual unedited assault I'll leave the links in the description oh by the way attention YouTube screeners we are reviewing this in an educational context so we can establish clear rights violations the person with the long hair approached Chris got into his space persistently yelled in his face and when Chris put his right hand on this person to create distance this individual struck and scratched Chris in the neck pulling the sandwich sign rope around Chris's neck and then placing the left hand the one holding the umbrella to the back of Chris's head knocked him off balance to the point where Chris fell to the ground but I want to focus on the reaction of the cops this cop in particular regular because they're going to question this cop's actions or rather in action later on before we get her reaction on this situation this cop watched the entire assault from beginning to end and she's smiling like she enjoys seeing what's happening to Chris not only that she does nothing to de-escalate this situation and does nothing to help her fellow cops control the crowd both Chris and Dan Dix from press for truth end up showing her this video of the assault and here's how she responds listen I I love the police my brother's police officer I respect Law and Order I respect our chartered Rights and Freedoms and I'm not trying to be a jerk to you earlier today I don't think a lot of you understand what I'm actually representing and the seriousness of this situation but it is what it is I guess I just this is Canada and people shouldn't be allowed to assault people without consequence you know first but the thing is right um when we get into people's faces they get into our faces it doesn't really matter who does the first push it's considered a consensual sight and maybe that's something you should a couple things here first this is Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms it states in section two under fundamental freedoms quote freedom of thought belief opinion and expression which is exactly what Chris was exercising without yelling without getting into people's faces and without violence second she actually said that it doesn't matter who quote does the first push it doesn't really matter who that's the first part if you're pushing someone away who's in your space and in your face you're not a assaulting your defending if someone comes up to you to start something and lays hands on you first that's the very definition of assault I didn't no no you that's I didn't get into people's faces I was here for you weren't people you weren't here you weren't even here I came and walked I came up I came over to your car yes yes after the second time the second time what are you kidding me I'd walk we I've been walking away from them yeah to do an interview with him they came close I walked away again to do the interview with him they surrounded no oh my gosh this is unbelievable I've walked away from them three times they were surrounding me you all were doing nothing a man yelled at my a man yelled in my ear from inches away and I tried to get out of this situation where they're surrounding me while you guys do nothing and I immediately get punched in the face and you're blaming me are you kidding me right now this is no this is totally surreal I cannot believe what I'm hearing this truly is surreal the cops have one job one job protect the public from aggressors and she's trying to throw up justifications on why she didn't do her job now you're trying to insinuate that that was a mutual thing like my gosh mutual thing I'd walked away from the crowd three times they kept following me then they surrounded me from all sides started yelling in my ear from inches away while you all did nothing and then when I can't even get out of that surrounding and I get punched in the face I get pulled you're telling me that's a mutual engagement yes it is [Laughter] incredible it's incredible and I have the right to be here have you read this thing called the Charter of Rights and Freedoms have you yes you should go home and read it again later Dan Dix from pressed for truth goes back to make sure that he's correct in what he heard her say that Chris incited Violence by expressing his opinion in public excuse me did you just say he came here to incite Violence by forcing his opinion on people yeah think he came here to incite violence because they got offended by his sign when you talk to someone and scream at someone and he didn't scream at all they put their face in his face what is wrong with you okay how on Earth did you become a police officer she's literally sitting here saying that billboard Chris is inciting Violence by standing there with his sign is that really your position okay sir we're done with this conversation yeah I thought so I thought so this is absolutely Unbecoming of The Vancouver Police Department disgusting it's typical to end the conversation when you realize that what you just said has no merit and no standing as a real quick follow-up apparently The Vancouver Police Department got pummeled by a flurry of calls airing grievances at the Injustice their officers allowed to go unpunished actually it'd be more accurate to say the Injustice they actively protected they said we have launched an investigation into an incident that occurred at yesterday's trans rights rally at Grandview Park we support everyone's rights to peacefully assemble and protest but we will also hold people accountable for acts of violence and criminal behavior in other words just like here in America they'll investigate themselves and they'll be sure to get back with us if you want to see all the unedited footage of the assault and the original assault because this was just the second assault I'll leave the links in the description if you like this video stick around maybe you'll like some of my others check out the most popular video section
