Given the vile nature of cops and their long and sorted history of abuse of power, not to mention their absolute willingness to deceive you and even lie to their own fellow thin blue line members. In case you question that, look at the video I uploaded yesterday. I wanted to show you this because if there's one thing we know about cops, when you're in their presence, you want to make sure that you say as little as possible, if anything at all, if the cops are at your door, I've never seen where it's a good idea to open that door and engage with cops. This is an example of where these cops are coming to this guy's door at 11:30 at night to question him about fireworks. We're just going to take it from the top and make some comments along the way. >> Hi. >> Hi, sir. Offer police department. Uh, we had a couple of calls about someone shooting off fireworks. Had a couple neighbors say that you've been shooting off fireworks out here. Okay. Have you been shooting any fireworks? >> No. >> No. Okay, >> man. I've been sleeping. I got my kids inside. >> Okay, I got you. I drove by earlier and you were standing back here. Did you see anybody shooting up fireworks or anything? >> No. >> Okay. Okay. Have you heard any >> dude? I've been sleeping. The only kids inside you sleeping. >> Okay, I got you. Well, I mean, like I said, we had some people say that you you're the one shooting flowers. She driver's license with you. >> So, all they have is hearsay. They have no evidence. They just have people telling the cops, "Oh, yeah, it was that guy." They have zero basis. There's no reasonable articulable suspicion. There's no probable cause that this guy has committed a crime. And it's just not a good idea to engage in a dialogue with these cops who are already assuming that you're guilty. >> I need my driver's license. You just woke me up when I was sleeping, man. >> Okay. Um Well, then how come I saw you out here just a minute ago? >> No, you didn't. >> Is anybody else here with you? >> Yeah, my kids. >> Besides your kids, how old are your kids? >> Why does that matter? >> Well, cuz I saw a grown a grown man syndrome back here. So, it kind of depends. >> My kids are under 10. >> Under 10. Okay. Well, I had to be you cuz I saw I mean, I saw your hair under silhouette. Okay, that's fine. Um, you have a driver's license on you. >> See, now the cops know that they have leverage. Oh, you have kids? Oh, you better comply or I'm not saying these cops did this, but we know how cops think. We've seen video after video of them putting their foot in the door. And if they can get you on something, they will. So, now they know that there are kids in here. Oh, okay. We're going to leverage that. You better comply. If you don't comply, we'll call CPS on you. Don't ever put it past a cop to jeopardize the lives of your children. >> Why do I need my driver's license? >> Okay. You're going to be receiving a citation for shooting out fireworks. >> Am I under arrest? >> You're going to get a citation for doing something we didn't see you doing. We just heard that you did it. We're going to already proclaim you as guilty, though, and we're going to write you a citation. What the freak? I mean, you're going to be receiving a citation. So, I've got >> Am I under arrest, man? I know the text penal code 38.02. Am I under arrest? >> Okay. Right now, you're being detained. Okay. For what? >> For for shooting out fireworks. >> Okay. Am I under arrest for anything? >> You're being detained. So, I need your help. >> What's your name? What's your name of badge? >> Spears 81. >> What's yours? >> Officer Nelson, badge 48. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, let me let me just step in here real quick and try to see what we got going on. Okay. All right. So, we have a call for service. call the service says that we've had someone in the area shooting off fireworks or possibly gunshots. Hold on. We were in the area investigating and everything like that. >> Wait, is it is it fireworks or gunshots? Cuz your partner was just about to write this guy a citation for fireworks, but now you're telling me it's either fireworks or gunshots. So, how can you write me a citation for fireworks if it could be one or the other, but you don't really know what it was? >> We're trying to figure out. We went to a couple other houses that have called it in. We made this location. He said he observed you're standing outside the car or standing behind the car, sir. We drove past. I went through. I made contact with other people. There's been two There's been a person that says you shot fireworks off twice tonight. Okay. >> I don't have fireworks. >> Listen, someone came out here on the 4th of July when I was shooting off tiny little kid things and said fireworks was illegal. >> Yes. Why would I go ahead and do them again if I know that they're illegal? >> Don't give cops any information like that. Don't give cops any information. And if you zip your lip, you won't give them any information. Everybody's got the right to be silent. The problem is few are able to do so. >> Why would people tell me that you're shooting them all? >> I don't know. Go [ __ ] ask them. >> I did and they said, >> "I'm tired, dude. I'm I'm in the middle of sleep. My kids are [ __ ] sleeping. My dog's barking at the [ __ ] door from you guys knocking on it. >> Okay. Well, you got to understand where we're coming from, too. It's a safety hazard to be firing off firecrackers. Whether you did it or whether you didn't do it, >> it's against the law to start off. >> It's also a safety hazard to have cops trolling in the neighborhood. It's a safety hazard for men with guns with fragile egos to come to my door at 11:30 at night. >> I know that. I've been told. >> Okay. >> Okay. And I won't do it ever again. That was unfortitty chasers and little tanks. Okay. So, if someone if I can find a witness that says that they saw you personally do it, they're lying. >> I don't know. Go ask them. >> Okay. Just trying to figure out why would someone lie on you, man. >> So, basically what he's saying is I'm going to believe the neighbor who said you did it. I'm not going to believe you who said you didn't. You're already guilty until you prove yourself innocent. And there's no way you're going to prove yourself innocent with these guys. >> I don't know. You're not out here just to harass you. We're out here to make sure >> I've got no issues with my neighbors. My neighbors can >> prove it. Prove you're not just out here to harass me. That's what you guys do. >> I've been here handcuffed in front of my house by your chief and lieutenant. >> Sorry, Captain. We don't have a >> Yeah, you're captain. What is it? Captain Daniels. I can I can make mistake. And Chief Carrie West. Okay. >> So, and I've had my neighbors come out to me and say, "Hey, we've got your back, >> right? We saw your ex my ex-wife going through my mailboxes and said, "Hey, she can't she's not allowed to do that." >> Right. Right. And I I wouldn't assume she could do that. Okay. I >> That's a federal law. You can't go through someone else's mailbox. >> We're not We're not here to investigate that. We're just trying to figure out how works. >> If I was told on the 4th of July that I can't do even kitty chasers cuz I've got kids. >> Not how he just said we're not out here to investigate that. You've already concluded your investigation. How do we know? because your partner just said, "Give me your name. Give me your ID because I'm gonna write you a citation for blowing off fireworks at 11:30 at night." These guys can't even They can't even get their own story straight. >> Right. >> Okay. I'm not doing big [ __ ] >> right? I understand. It's Fourth of July. You want to pop them off with your kids. I completely understand that. >> Right. And just little baby stuff. Like you can see the marks on my driveway from the little baby stuff. I got my hose right there just in case there was a fire. >> Right. >> But I'm not doing that [ __ ] I was already told. >> Right. >> Right. So, why would I do it if I know it's against the law? And will I even looked up the law after that person left? >> Okay. I looked up the law after that officer left to make sure that I was not able to. And I found it and I said, "Yes, you it's it's illegal to even own fireworks in Willlet Park. That's what the law says." >> Okay. >> To possess fireworks is against the law, >> right? >> I'm not about breaking the law. I don't do that. >> That's not what I want. We're just trying to figure out what >> I know. I'm not saying you guys are breaking the law. >> I'm asking why he's asking for my ID and somewhat requiring it when I know it's also against the law to require it if I'm not being under arrest. >> Not just asking for ID, he's asked for ID and has already declared me guilty of blowing off fireworks when I didn't do that. >> Okay. Well, so if you read the the the same penal code that you're talking about, it says that if you're detained or under arrest, there's two Hold There's two different subchaptors of this one. Okay. >> Detained is not arrest. Right. >> Right. >> So, so penal code 38.02 says unless you're being lawfully arrested, that is the requirement for given ID. >> Okay. >> Now, if I'm detained, which I am now, for officer speakers here, I cannot give you false identification. That's what the that's what Texas Penal Code 38.02 sets. >> Okay. Did you also look in the penal code or what is it? >> No, no, no. That that that's all that's required right there. So, I'm going to end this unlawful attainment and go back inside. >> Now, we'll end. >> No, I'm done. >> We'll watch a little more of this and I'm going to turn the volume down. But I'm quite shocked that the cops didn't try to break down his door and follow him into the house like we've seen so many times before. This is from the Carson Dial Audits YouTube channel. And what he says in his pin comment is, "This video was taken on July 27th, 2022 at around 11:30. Yes, I should have kept my mouth shut. I was more concerned about my kids. I was initially trying to resolve the problem, but quickly got frustrated because my dog woke me up barking at the door. I have to be up at 7:30 when my son wakes up. I don't know what they saw, but it wasn't me. I had been in bed for an hour at that point. I think we can all understand being frustrated after being woken up for asinine accusations. People are asking him what the outcome of the ticket was and I have not seen any followup on this. I'll leave his link in the description and in the pinned comment. If the pinned comment disappears, as it often does, just refer to the description. It will be in there. You can do what you want to do with your own life. But remember, it's not a good idea to talk to police, and it's definitely not a good idea to open the door of your home when police are knocking, especially if they're knocking at 11:30 at night. Leave your thoughts in the comments below. I want to know what you would have done if you found two cops knocking at your door at 11:30 at night. Would you have opened the door? Would you have tried to talk to him through the door? If you have a Ring camera, would you have talked to him through that? Or would you have just stayed silent and gone back to sleep? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
