Instead of putting her in handcuffs, >> You ain't saw no damn Jimbo. >> I did her a favor and did not do that. >> First Amendment right to protest. [music] I'm not getting involved in any First Amendment crap. >> You ain't saw no damn Jimbo. >> When I tell you I did, I did. >> She benefited from a gross double standard. I think that is high time for people to start paying attention to what goes on in our court systems. >> I'm telling you right now give me your DL or you will be placed under arrest. >> Oh my god. >> I am quite frankly somewhat ashamed to be associated with a system that has performed so poorly. >> Welcome back to the Likestar channel. If you're a long-time subscriber, you'll know what I mean when I say, "You ain't saw no damn Jimbo." >> You ain't saw no damn Jimbo. >> I swear, let me tell you, when I tell you I did, I did. >> The lore behind Jimbo and his brother Matthew is rich and dates back several years when Jimbo first met Mississippi Trooper Jason Young. Trooper Young chased Jimbo for making a U-turn instead of waiting to pass through a driver's license checkpoint. He then accused him of a DUI and then made Jimbo drive to a checkpoint while he was allegedly suspected of being intoxicated. At the checkpoint, Jimbo blew all zeros. So, instead of arresting him for DUI, they impounded his vehicle and charged him with reckless driving for making a U-turn. Just before going to court on that citation, Trooper Young was caught in his dashcam looking for Jimbo to further abuse his authority. >> And I had my in my mind I was like, "I'm going to I'm going to see this today because he posted He posted something on his uh Facebook and I saw the damn truck. It had one of those little bull bars in the front. >> You ain't saw no damn Jimbo. >> I swear, let me tell you, when I tell you I did, I did. >> And that's where the phrase, "You ain't seen no Jimbo" comes from. And just after mentioning that he had driven to this specific area to target Jimbo to force another interaction in retaliation. Jimbo happens to drive past him. >> [music] >> So, I was I was already I was facing >> conducts a wild U-turn in the middle of the road, which is ironic because it was what he originally arrested Jimbo for, and then pulls him over to issue him a second ticket. But, this time as Jimbo drove away, he flipped off Trooper Young and was arrested for disorderly conduct and had his truck impounded for a second time. At this point, Jimbo started a Facebook group and it quickly grew tens of thousands of followers. Jimbo's brother Matt helps moderate the community and there's a ton that goes into these stories. Law enforcement tried to make them take down the Facebook community. Lawsuits went down. More run-ins with Trooper Young. And if you want to catch up with all of those stories, they'll all be linked down below. [music] But, today we're revisiting a story I posted in October about Lindsey Whiteside, a woman out on bail while the county tried to find a judge to try her case. Lindsey Whiteside was a youth ministry leader and assistant basketball coach for a high school in Mississippi and was arrested and fired after being indicted. >> We were able to secure an indictment against Lindsey Whiteside for battery of a child while in a position of trust or authority. >> But, while Lindsey was out on bail, she was hired at a clothing shop in South Haven, Mississippi. And once Matthew and Jimbo found out, they started protesting in front of the shop with signs to warn the public before they entered. And the community appeared to appreciate it. >> I would take a water. Thank you so much. >> But, the shop obviously didn't. So, they hired an allegedly off-duty police officer to pull security. >> I'm sorry, what? >> You got to go, brother. >> Why do I have to go? >> I said You got to go. >> Says who? >> South Haven. >> Well, I'll them to come tell me. >> I will. >> All right. Appreciate it. What's your name? >> Don't matter. >> Oh, don't matter? Well, nice to meet you, Don't Matter. >> Security guard James O'Quinn, representing C Force Security, tells Matthew that he has to leave the public sidewalk, citing the city of South Haven as the authority that has told Matthew to move along. But, after failing to obstruct Matthew's path, the guard continues to follow Matthew down the sidewalk. >> Would you please get out of my way? >> know. >> [clears throat] [snorts] >> Please don't bump into me. Okay? This dude thinks he's going to try to scare me away with his little C Force Security. What's that little .22 he has on him? Mhm. Mhm. >> It's important to note here that Matthew has never stepped foot inside the establishment, but the encounter eventually became physical when the security guard attempted to push Matthew off the sidewalk. Matthew's brother, Jimbo, was present and witnessed the incident, as did several community members who later posted their videos on TikTok, showing the South Haven police responding to the scene. And later, Jimbo requested the body cam footage. >> Let me ask you something. >> All right. So, this is the public sidewalk. >> Right. >> Okay. So, what about the the brick? Is that public? >> All this should be public. What's It should be public. >> So, I want to file charges against him for assaulting twice today. >> So, just now he just up and shoved and put it That guy put his hands on me twice. >> Mhm. >> Because I Because I walked right here. >> Matthew walks to the portion of the sidewalk where the guard assaulted him, and the C Force Security guard pushes Matthew a third time, right in front of the officer, who does exactly what you would expect him to do. >> right here And he put And he said he just put his hands on I don't know. You grabbed >> Getting help here in South Haven. Be easy. >> You don't need to worry about it. Jimbo. >> I was following him first. >> Right. Hey, hey. Hey, Jimbo, Jimbo, Jimbo, Jimbo, Jimbo. Get over here, man. Hey, just You going to step outside? Yeah, please go inside, man. Get over here. Come on, let's go outside. But I just That's what he did. Like you can you This is a public And Oh, he he put his hands on you? And you're not And I'm getting over here. So So really, I just want to know if if that the non-brick I think it's all public access. >> Yeah, it should be. It's not >> It don't matter if it is or not. You can't put your hands on me. >> And he just did it to me anyway. >> I would like to file charges and have him arrested place. >> Yeah, so what we have to do is I'm going to take a report and then you'll have to come We can go down to the station. >> And fill out an affidavit. >> Yeah, do the affidavit and then we can go from there. You have to deal with the judge. >> Obviously, he's been talking to me since I've been here. He stepped over the line which is brick is supposedly the renter's sidewalk. Obviously, he easily He stepped over and I don't know. I didn't I'm sorry. I didn't even know. No, I didn't even He did it again. I did the same thing and then when your officer pulled up, he went to show him the same thing and I did it in front of your officer. The gentleman in the green shirt. >> Okay. >> So that wasn't the first time? >> It was three and then Jimbo did it, too. The problem I think we're running into is your business starts at the doorway back. The sidewalk is all open space. The only person If he steps into the business all day long. >> But if he's on the sidewalk outside, mhm. It's free protesting. >> The trespasser says he's not allowed on Silo Square property. >> Long story short, they were trespassed off Silo Square's property. And as we pointed out in the previous publication, most of the property in the downtown area is owned by Silo Squares. Silo Squares Foundation recently donated over $100,000 to the Southaven Police and County Sheriff, which raised the question, why wasn't security guard James O'Quinn arrested when it's clear that the officer witnessed the simple assault as it's almost guaranteed that Jimbo and Matthew would have been arrested if it had been the other way around. >> He's free to do whatever he wants. So, touching him, that's an assault. So, you understand you can go to jail for that one. I get it. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen. I'm just saying >> [snorts] >> he comes in the store, I get it. But outside the store on the sidewalk till he gets trespassed, nothing [clears throat] we can do. >> He was just grabbing my guy right here. I seen him grabbing twice. First time he grabbed him and pushed him. Second time he pushed him off cuz he stepped on the rear bar. I told him uh I'll wait to talk to you but I told him of course I'd do a report for you if you want to file charges. More than happy to uh I'd do it but that's on you. Um but I mean I was trying to If you say they have video of I mean if he especially hit me and he didn't >> He said he just he bumped him in the arm. >> Yeah, I told him I said I mean it's like he came came to do it. They was peaceful the whole time. Just let him Long as he's not doing anything extra. >> Well, it is they don't want him there. They they think their property starts at the brick. >> And it doesn't. >> And and it's Yeah, and it's it's my understanding that their property starts the minute they walk through the door. Other than that, it's public easement. >> I just want to make sure it's all right people pulling a knife out on you and putting their hands on you because if that's right, you're going to >> Who pulled the knife on you by the way? >> Uh he did. Me and him. Yeah, but that's all right. I just want to make sure that was all right. >> The knife this is the first I'm hearing about the knife. >> Is >> I'm hearing about a knife. >> Eventually, a supervisor arrives on scene. >> He's wanting to press charges for assault. >> Is that the guard? >> Yeah. Okay. >> No, no, no, not the guard. He is, cuz the guard is the one that pushed him. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Uh get him out of here. All right, get this the guard out of here. He's the one pressing the They got hold of the side. >> He's got to go sign charges? >> Yeah, that's true. >> So, if we trespass him from the brick, he can still be on the property, he can still be on the side. >> Let Ashley make that call. >> That'll solve the problem if he doesn't. >> Ashley. >> I don't know what's going to solve the problem. >> That video though? >> Did she say what happened? >> Huh? >> I watched the entire thing. >> You don't have it on video, do you? >> I was trying, but my phone wouldn't let me record it, but he's literally standing here like this. >> And the security guard pulled a knife at any time? >> I don't know, he has a gun on his hip, that's all I saw. >> We all get a statement from our witness, if you please. >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Hello, guys. >> I'm so tired of this. >> Me, too. Can we do something about it, please? >> I'll do what I can by law. That's what I can tell you I can do. >> [clears throat] >> What I'm being told by a witness is he was holding his side, stepped back, got maybe half a foot on the brick, and then got shoved off of it. That's what I'm being told happened in that regard. >> This witness is his brother. >> No, it's not. >> No. >> This is someone else entirely. Someone in one of the apartments just saw it. Watched the whole thing. So, we can keep him off the brick. We can't keep him off the public sidewalk unless he's creating a disturbance, hollering and yelling. That's what we can do. First Amendment right to protest. I'm not getting involved in any First Amendment crap. Not going to happen. But, he said he wants to sign charges against your security guard. We can't deny him that right. He can do that. He have to have probable cause here and with the judge would decide if there's probable cause for charges or not. He might say, "Yep, there is, but I don't want for an arrest." He might say, "No, there's not." Throw the whole thing out. But, we can't deny him that right. Here's what you can do. You can come sign charges trespassing against him. But, give us a misdemeanor not in our presence. We can't do it by law. We cannot say, "Okay, we're arresting you for doing this because we didn't see it." It's not in our presence and by law it has to be in our presence. >> Apparently, the same doesn't apply for assault. A captain arrives on scene to speak with the owners. >> Technically, wouldn't he be in violation of loitering if he's protesting without a permit? >> If If he If it's organized protest If it's just one guy, that's where we kind of get into >> called me yesterday night and explained exactly if he's moving up and down the sidewalk. >> He's not technically moving. >> He is not technically moving. >> If he's standing in front of the door >> Well, no, but but see, we can't stretch it because we have to be very clear >> Right. >> on if if he If he steps out of the confines of what he can do, that's one thing. But, >> [clears throat] >> he's moving back and forth. He has every right to hold that sign up. He's not creating a disturbance, just holding the sign up. Again, it's a First Amendment issue. >> That's why I was asking you cuz that thought just came into my head. So. >> And the reason he can't leave right now and got a police station sign is because he's It's drunk. Yeah, he's yeah. I didn't smell a thing on him. >> Yeah, that's Believe me, that's one of the first things I was hoping for, but he's he's not. >> When the captain tells one party that the first thing he was hoping for was to smell alcohol on a victim, you can tell who they think they work for. >> He might have been 3 hours ago when he first got here, but he's I can't smell a thing now. >> Who Who was the knife? Who pulled the knife on who? >> I I was like this the >> You pulled the knife >> Huh? >> I was like this. I had my hand like this the whole >> He was fine back >> He was saying that he pulled a knife on him. But nobody saw that, but >> The officers witnessed two men get assaulted in their presence and did nothing. Instead, they spent nearly an hour to exhaust every resource they had available to them to charge Jimbo and Matthew, all for their huge donor. >> I'm going to check their stream around now. >> What's that? >> Yeah, it's happening right there. You can't see anything. >> No. >> There's a fine line we got to walk between first amendment violations and harassment. >> Yeah. >> And he's there he's right up on it. >> And there's the line. >> He knows the line. He knows he has to ride on the line. >> He knows. >> After this whole fiasco, the security guard that was protected by South Haven police that was protecting Norton's filed a police report for simple assault against Jimbo and Matthew. >> That security guard, James Michael Quinn, he went and pressed charges against me for simple assault. Now, I know DeSoto County is pretty corrupt, but I am very excited to see what kind of proof they have to show for me to get arrested. We actually got a a bit of justice today. Went in there, told them what happened. Um James Michael O'Quinn, you got a warrant out for your arrest. >> Jimbo and Matthew voluntarily surrendered and were each released on a $500 bond. Meanwhile, the alleged ex-cop security guard James O'Quinn was served with a warrant and released on his own recognizance without paying a single dollar. Now, rewinding and going back to the Lindsey Whiteside story. >> She played guilty with no deal in place. She played guilty and the judge heard exactly how egregious it was. The victim asked for 30 years. Both her parents asked for 30 years. We asked for 30 years. And then the judge gave us nothing. >> A sentence of 10 years with the first three served on house arrest. The remaining seven suspended conditional upon your successful completion three years of house arrest. To be followed by five years of supervised probation and two years of unsupervised probation. >> She was convicted and sentenced to 10 years with the first three served on house arrest and the remaining seven suspended conditional upon her successful completion of the first three years of house arrest even though a very similar case involving a male was sentenced to 30 years. >> That sentence is an abomination. >> Yeah. >> It is everything that's wrong with our system. It It sends the wrong message. I I honestly believe that if if the defendant were a man or a different color, it'd be a different outcome only because that's the way I've always seen it. >> Right. That's just what the happen the statistics say. >> That's what That's been my personal experience and I think that she benefited and I said this in my press conference. She benefited from a gross double standard. >> Yeah. >> I think that it is high time for people to start paying attention to what goes on in our court systems because this is an absolute travesty. It is not right. I condemn it in every way. I am quite frankly somewhat ashamed to be associated with a system that has performed so poorly in this matter. >> The DA appealed Lindsey's sentence, but just days after the abomination, the feds stepped in. >> Breaking news in the case of a convicted offender who was recently sentenced to house arrest in DeSoto County. Lindsey Whiteside is now in custody on new federal charges. >> Sheriff Tuggle announced that Whiteside faces new federal charges of transporting a child across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. >> And that is where the story left off. And since then, Silo Square is back in the news over another confrontation involving the South Haven police. >> A viral >> video shows an exchange between a South Haven police officer and multiple women in Silo Square over the weekend. >> A family, who ironically works for the police department, said reservation at a restaurant downtown. They claimed the reservation was for 10 people, but when they arrived, the restaurant denied them claiming that they only take reservations for parties of six. >> I'm here to ask you >> No, I will not be leaving. >> We We work for the police department. This is >> This is why we were trying to see like >> Tell me why >> This is why we were trying to >> You might say that you're not here and I have reasonable suspicion >> You have reasonable suspicion to tell me >> Okay. I'm not going to Okay. Okay. I'm going to give you a warning now and you're going to listen. That's how this is going to go. I need your DL from all three of Okay. I'm telling you right now giving your DL or you will be placed under arrest. >> Oh my god. >> In the span of days, a video recorded outside of Sippin Silo in South Haven has garnered national attention. >> I guess because my doctor takes you in the customer. >> This viral video posted on TikTok and Facebook has accumulated more than 2 million views. >> I'm telling you right now give me your DL or you will be placed under arrest. >> One officer repeatedly asking the women for their driver's licenses. But John Keith Perry, an attorney who practices in both Tennessee and Mississippi, says there's only specific scenarios where you're required to show ID in Mississippi. >> If you're driving at any point, if you arrive at a checkpoint and then that's similar. If you're driving and you come up on a checkpoint. I know that now Mississippi law indicates that you're supposed to have an ID when you are going to vote. >> He also says if you're suspected of a crime. >> Now an officer can always ask you. But I don't know of any other areas of law where you're compelled to give the officer your driver's license. >> So he I I I I >> I AM ASKING >> I MEAN >> OFFICER >> I'M ABOUT to give it to So like I said >> No, we have four officers. >> That's what's going to >> that actually don't obey law enforcement >> Thank you. >> I don't >> We know a lot of people >> No, no, no. >> We're not going to get in the car and pull out. So we can be You can run the tag and we work for the police department. >> We stayed here so you guys can know yes we were in there. We asked them questions about what was going on. We're not causing any It's not illegal to say a curse word. It's not. We work for the police department. >> He can't jump in the back of the car. >> Give me the DL. This is an investigation of a disturbance? >> You can come out here and ask us to leave and we'll leave. We just didn't leave because he called Yeah, we don't have the phone back here. We are we are aware of what's going on. >> And he was >> threatened to arrest us. >> I recorded everything. >> I'm sorry. I'm I'm so sorry that >> This is ridiculous. >> No, that's that's beyond what he was doing. He walked up on her like he was going to slam her to the ground. >> I will get you. >> That is unacceptable, seriously. >> Well, we have we have a >> I'm standing there and he had to walk down. >> My name's Tiffany. >> I'm Britney Nelson. >> I'm Tiffany Nelson. Nice to meet you. >> What was your name? >> Brandy. >> Brandy. >> There's no reason he And there is not even a reason for y'all to get drivers licenses. They were not They were standing out here when he pulled up. I walked down from the ice cream shop just to see him coming out talking aggressive and turning my cameras on. >> Okay. Well, so we get a call and we have to make sure that something that everything is okay and that's why And we have it record and >> And this is Tiffany Sellers. And and something like this >> For something like this >> I don't even want him back over here. >> I don't want >> He don't need to be back over here. >> I'm trying to get my my arm >> Oh my god. >> Okay. >> I'm the primary officer here investigating this call, okay? >> going to see you the way you walked up on that young lady, please. >> The way I walked up on her? >> Yes, you did. I have it on video. We were >> about to place her in handcuffs because she was refusing me >> She had no reason to even give you no DL. >> Yes, she does because I >> She She was out here. >> Okay. >> I know Let him have the floor. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, instead of putting her in handcuffs I did her a favor and did not do that. So, yes, I walked up on her. >> is because these people came up. That is the only reason. >> That's cool. >> That's over and over while you were walking away. She comes over here. You were acting like you were going to pull something out of her bag. >> Are Are you involved in this? Do you need >> Oh, I'm involved. As soon as you came out yelling >> Uh-huh. >> And I I'm standing here It's on video. >> Cool. All right. So, Ms. Sellers you've been banned from this business. You're not allowed to come back. >> Thank you. >> You come back, you will be arrested for trespassing. Okay? You're free to go, ma'am. >> Thank you. >> Ms. Wilson same goes for you. >> We'll come back here. >> You've been banned from this business. >> Not a problem. You come back, you'll be arrested for trespassing. Okay? Thank you. >> We're still waiting on this lieutenant. >> Terrible customer service. >> Miss Smith? You have also been banned from this business. If you come back, you'll be arrested for trespassing. All of you are free to go if you'd wish to do so. If not, you can wait to speak with the lieutenant if you wish to do so. Okay. >> Sip 'n' Sylo released a public statement. They apologized for the hurt and concern that the situation caused, and regret that they escalated the interaction to the point of involving law enforcement. The statement claims that on Friday evening they received a request to accommodate a party of 10, and that at that time their team explained that they only seat six guests unless there was prior approval. The policy is alleged to be posted on their website, their reservation platform, and at their host stand. And while I did find it buried on their website, when attempting to reserve a table, information is not provided. In fact, reservations are unavailable, and does not appear to be posted on their host stand either. Furthermore, if we check the Wayback Machine, we can see that it is actually a fairly new policy that did not exist on the website [music] as recently as June of 2025. And overall, just wants you to know that they're not racist. But that whole story was a side quest because the real update for Jimbo and Matthew is that all assault charges against all three of the men have now been dismissed. It's alleged that the prosecutor said that the push does not constitute assault. And if that's all that it was, I would technically agree. A push is not automatically criminal simple assault Mississippi. The statute generally requires an attempt to cause bodily injury, actual bodily injury, or physical menace creating fear of imminent serious harm. What the prosecutor didn't address is that security guard James O'Quinn pulled a knife on Matthew right in front of the officer, but the officer claims that he never saw it. Aside from that, unwanted harmful or offensive contact can still support a civil battery claim in Mississippi. But Mississippi generally imposes a one-year deadline on civil assault, battery, false imprisonment, and malicious arrest claims. So in the end, no one was convicted and the consequences were unequal. Big surprise. Matthew and Jimbo had to pay to regain their freedom and defend themselves, while the guard was released without paying anything. But that doesn't mean it's over. First off, Matthew still regularly protests in front of Norton's and aside from his frequent protesting, they are now seeking an attorney to pursue civil action. Against whom, I'll reveal when the lawsuit is filed. Until then, let me know what you think in the comments down below and stay tuned because we have a massive update for those of you who live in the second circuit. >> Keep doing what you're doing. >> I am. Thank you. >> Spread the word. >> Look me up on TikTok. Match Fish, m a t c h f i s c h.
