Two Flaggler [music] County Sheriff's deputies responded to an America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses store at around 5:00 a.m. after reports that the business had been burglarized and ransacked. [music] The suspect even left behind a handwritten note indicating that she would return to collect everything else she believed was owed to her. >> Wow. Employees quickly pointed deputies toward a recently fired co-orker who had continued [music] sending threatening messages and lurking around the business's parking lot even after being fired. Deputies were sent to the woman's home and once they arrived and spotted several of the stolen items sitting in plain view, they moved in knowing they had found their suspect. >> You're good. >> Here, you can go and step out for a second. >> We're just going to We're just going to talk. >> Yeah. Just like >> a deal. >> A deal. >> Yeah. >> Um, how many of the chairs did you take? >> Four chairs. One around table. >> Well, the table's still there, but you brought the chairs back. >> Keep the table. >> Okay. Um, what about any sunglasses? Do you take any sunglasses? >> A pair of gray bands. Would you like to model them under? >> I mean, where are they? >> Right here. My son and Susie's wife of daughter-in-law, which they will not shack up the rest of these lives because that's what we do around here in my town. >> Um, would you like them back >> eventually? Yeah, we're just trying to accumulate all the stuff. Yeah, we're trying we're trying to get a feel of everything >> the end of eternity that I feel like is discovered and owed to me. >> Okay. Well, yeah. I mean that's that they said that there was just some things that was taken. So that's where he could go search the house. >> We have not searched the house. >> Oh, you don't have to have search for it. You have my full. >> Thank you. >> We'll get to that. Detective Costello, is there anything that you want to call? >> I bought that. Just go ahead real quick. You're going to put your hands behind your back. Okay. >> I know the formality. >> Okay. >> Let's make a grand appearance, shall we? >> Is that who you've been dealing with? >> Is that who you've been dealing with? >> Yeah. >> He signed my death execution warrant twice with no substantial evidence. >> Do me a favor. Just lean against the car for a second. Okay. Doing your best. >> I'm going to shut my mouth. >> Just stand by. The woman might have been many things, but a liar was not one of them. She openly admitted that she had broken into the business, claiming she had [music] only taken items that belonged to her and that she needed back. The business clearly [music] did not see it that way, and there were far more lawful ways to recover personal property from a former workplace than breaking in after [music] hours. With the property sitting in plain view and the woman's own confession on record, the deputy's next move. >> See, I knew that was going to be a highlight. That right there. Yo, this look that she had. Come on, man. I knew that was going to be a highlight. This lady is freaking nuts, man. Seventh grade education. Wow. First of all, wow. you know, and I feel like being that young, um, that's a failure on the parents' part, you know. I mean, you know, if you dropping out at, I'd say 10th, 11th, 12, like, all right, you know, you're a little bit older. you're going to it's still a failure on the parents part, but it's like, okay, you drop out of 11th grade, it's like you're old, you know, it's going to mess you up. I wouldn't want my kids to do it, you know what I mean? You know, anything like that, you know? Um, but I can't force you to go to school if you don't want to go to school, you know? me. I guess I could, but uh in this in this day and age, you if you if you try to force your kid to go to school or whatever, you know, the way that some of the old school methods, uh you might end up behind bars. Okay? So, [laughter] you know, uh it's a different day and age right now, but um seventh grade education, man, I remember going up go like going to school and kids started dropping out around like 16, you know, 16 17 stuff like like around 16 around 16. So, what's 16? 16 is like cuz seventh grade you're like what 13 13 14 something like that. So, you know, yeah, 16 is like 10th, 11th grade. Yeah, you might get those kids that want to just smoke all day and just skip school and all that, you know. But seventh grade, damn. >> Confession on record. The deputy's next move was all but decided. >> Where's my son? >> I'm not hurting you. He's still within my energy. Please don't make it work. It really hurts. >> Hold on. Which one? >> Please. >> Hold on. >> I'm not jumping. I have nothing on me. >> Turn your wrist this way. >> I can't. >> Turn your wrist. I'm not >> I'm not even reminded when my cousin >> my ex-husband FOR THE TWO DAYS ARE BECAUSE OF ME WHEN I say that was pregnant with my fresh >> please don't make me go back to the problems okay >> if you don't stop moving backwards you can't fix all the Jesus Christ >> they're not going to get much looser so >> okay I'll get breath >> just have yeah sit you can keep your feet Let me go at my own pace. I beg you. >> Please. >> I'm okay and I'm saying this. >> Too much trouble when somebody does something. >> It's on. It's on. I got it. >> Break it down. You got your on? >> You know this. I got to stop this real quick. You know what? No, I I I I'll let it go. >> Thank you. >> Stand by with her right there. It hurts. [ __ ] I won't hurt you. I won't hurt you. I promise. Can you just loosen him up just a little? Just stay in here with me. Please don't leave. Don't leave my side. And don't you dare leave my son's side. The woman, 39-year-old Crystal Lee, had been placed on leave from work for 2 weeks [music] before ultimately being fired, after which she broke into the business and carried away numerous items, including chairs, designer sunglasses, a coffee pot, a mini refrigerator, and couch cushions. Lee was taken to jail and charged with burglary and grand theft, both thirdderee felonies, as well as stalking, a first-degree misdemeanor. Her total bond was set [music] at $7,500. She remains presumed innocent un >> Okay. So, yeah. All right. So, I want to show you something. So, we did a video on and I don't know the order of these videos that's going to come out. Maybe it it came out already or maybe it'll come out afterwards or whatever. But there was a video that we did on these people who stole from the grocery store in upstate New York and the ICE agents uh came and intervened and stuff like that. Right? So, I want to talk about this real quick. right now. This is a woman who has a seventh grade if if everything that she's saying is true, she has a seventh grade education. She dropped out of seventh grade. Now, maybe she got her GED, maybe she didn't, whatever the case may be, right? But dropping out in the seventh grade, no education for real, like you're at the bottom of the food chain. You're not even at, you know, high school diploma, GED level. Like, you're not even there. So for you to be at the bottom, right, of the food chain and to work your way out of that class into upper middle class, middle class, whatever, right? Nice neighborhood, nice house, she's married, got kids, whatever. you know, on the outside if she was a manager or whatever, a general manager, whatever she said she was, you know, she worked her way out, you know, out of her class where I was saying in the other video that in a lot of these other countries, these third world countries and stuff like that, because I think one person, the male was from Nicaragua and the female was from um uh Colombia. And I was like, you know, in these other countries a lot of times, whatever social class you're born you're born in is pretty much where you're going to stay. It is very very difficult for you to work your way out of that class. If you're born poor, you are going to remain poor for the most part. You know what I'm saying? Can it be done? Yes. But it's very, very difficult. So unlike in the United States where you can be born poor and work your way out of out of being poor and go into the next class, middle class, upper middle class, you know, and stuff like you can work your way up like and it's not that, you know, it's not that difficult compared to like you know like all right For example, if your parents are poor, whatever, and you you're born in the projects, right? Okay, you still go to school with everybody else, right? So, you can go to school and you know, you can move your way out of the food chain. If you don't know, have all the money to pay for college or whatever, you could go and get college that is significantly cheaper. You know, go to a a Sunni or, you know, a state college or something like that. You know, there's different things for you to be able to like there's different opportunities that America has for somebody to be able to be successful. And that's the one thing that I must say that is great about the United States. You know, just because you're born in a certain social class does not mean that you have to remain in that social class. You know, this girl seventh grade education. Look how she's living as an adult. you know, now she's nuts. Okay, she's nuts. But I just say that to say, you know, that's why we see like the influx of like, you know, immigrants and stuff like that coming here and everybody wants to come here. Everybody wants to come here. And it's crazy because, you know, other countries see no hope. So they get they risk their lives to come here just for an opportunity to change their social class back home, man. Or work abroad and send that money back home in their building and stuff like that. Whatever. Anyway, all I got to say, God bless America, man. America's great. I can't even lie. You know what I'm saying? Can't even lie. Even if you want to move out of America, hey, if you earning that almighty dollar, you're good to go wherever. [music] [singing] Fly with it. Keep it [music] alive. [singing] Late night drive. Don't be shy.
