For nearly 3 years from August 2022 through May 2025, she and her legal team insisted she was not impaired, rather anxious from the crash, and she admitted only to vaping THC the prior night. Her lawyers even challenged the admissibility of field sobriety tests, citing possible illegal evidence collection, and unqualified officers. Then on May 23rd, 2025, Ariana accepted a no contest plea. In exchange, prosecutors dropped all DUI, traffic, and underage alcohol charges. Sentencing included 24 months probation, 40 hours community service, fines exceeding $2,000, completion of a DUI risk and victim impact program, mandatory abstinence from alcohol and non-prescribed drugs. Though the legal ordeal ended in May, the public first took note of Ariana's arrest back in October 2022 when her family celebrated her 21st birthday with a cake topped with her mug Not
