On today's body cam, we're checking out, she thought she was running the traffic stop. >> On April 16th, 2024, an officer walking through a parking lot was nearly struck by a driver with her music blasting. Rather than accepting responsibility, she immediately tried to turn the situation around on the officer, insisting he was the one in the wrong. >> I know you're late for a meeting. >> I'm not. >> I know you are, cuz that's what your friend over there told me. But since you want to see the penal code, now we're going to go that whole way. >> Okay. >> Okay, ma'am. OCGA 40-6-14 is a sounding volume limitation within a motor vehicle. >> Within the whole entire property, right? >> That covers the whole entire >> thought my music was too loud. My music was on a nine. >> Ma'am, I think it was so loud that you almost hit me because you were distracted driving through this parking lot. >> what you think? >> And all I did >> so you could go. I said if you're going to go, go. You were on your phone walking across through traffic. >> your driver's license. >> What's the crime? >> Let me see your driver's >> What's the crime? >> You have your music too loud from any any motor vehicle. >> So are you writing me a ticket for that? >> Yeah, I'm going to write you a ticket. >> So write me the ticket then. >> I need your driver's license. Give it to >> don't write me a ticket, I want your sergeant out here then. >> That's my corporal right there. >> If you do not write me a ticket, I would like your sergeant out here. >> to write you every ticket I can find. Don't worry about it. >> let let let me let let let let me show you what we just talked [laughter] about. >> He said, "I'm going to write every ticket I can find." See, now this is the officer that we needed on the last video. The video of the the the mom running the traffic stop where the guy pulled her over in in her house or whatever. You know, where she was ripping and running, running in the house and all that stuff. This is the cop we needed for that one. He said, "I'm going to write you every ticket I can find. Don't you worry." >> I'm recording right here. Ma'am, if you don't provide me with a driver's license >> Shut up. >> I'm about to arrest you. >> You can't arrest me for nothing. >> Obstruction of justice. Give me your driver's license. >> the crime? Tell me the And what did you say you were going to do? What did you say you were going to >> you right now, I'm giving you a verbal I'm >> say that you were going to do? >> to cite you. >> Did you say you were going to write me for everything that you could just now. >> Yes, I did. >> Let's go. >> Okay. >> Don't snatch for me, baby. Cuz the cops don't mean [ __ ] to me. Do not snatch for me. Don't snatch for me. Don't snatch for me. >> You're about to go to East Point. >> Don't snatch for me. Call your sergeant out here. >> That's my corporal right there. >> No, call your sergeant. I didn't say supervisor. I said sergeant. That's what I said. >> That's not how this works. >> Listen, go ahead and do what you're going to do. >> Disorderly? You're close. The volume's all the way up. She slams on her brakes, too. >> No, I did not. No, I did not. I stopped. I said, "If you're going to go, go." And you said, "What are you doing?" I said, "If you're going to go, go." Did I not say that to you? >> I couldn't hear you over your music. I can't hear you over your music. >> Do not do that. He was walking across the street. >> Now, ladies, please. >> Then I got ready to >> Ladies, ladies. Oh, don't don't interfere. Don't interfere. We might have a three-for-one special. >> No, cuz he's he's not I know what I did. >> She needs to I need y'all to just step over there. She is a grown adult. >> You were on your phone walking across the street. I said, "If you're going to go, go." Did I not say that? >> Ma'am, are you on the phone with the police right now? >> Were you calling our department? >> Yeah, I was because you were being >> This used to 911. >> I'm not being unfair, ma'am. >> You just told me that I did everything right. You said >> Ma'am. >> I let you know. You were on >> Ma'am, you came into this parking lot at a high rate of speed. So high, in fact, that you had to slam on your brakes. >> Slam? >> You had to slam on your brakes. >> And my food never fell. I did not >> I'm not doing the food I'm not doing the food test with you about whether your food fell or not. >> I didn't I'm not arguing with you. >> I did. I can't hear you and dispatch can't run it because you're on the phone with them. Ma'am, I really want to take you to jail for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice along with your traffic violations today, but I don't think it's going to do you any good, and I I need to prove my point to you. You haven't acknowledged what I've said to you once. All you've done is argue with me. And I really feel like telling you this, you just think I'm full of [ __ ] and I'm lying to you to scare you and that's not the case. I'd be well within my rights to do so. This is my supervisor whose job would be on the line if I did it in any sort of way that was against our policies or laws. Do you understand that? You're not worth my me losing my job over. You're not worth me sitting in my lieutenant's office over a complaint. This isn't worth it to me. Okay? So, I wouldn't do it unless I felt like I had every single reason to. Now, I was going to come over here and have a conversation with you and instead of having that conversation with me, you want to bark. You want to do refuse to identify yourself which is an obstruction of justice. All these things that you getting loud in the parking lot, that could have been a child walking across the street on their phone and you probably wouldn't have seen them if they weren't taller than the hood of your car and hit them. So, whether or not you feel like what you've done was wrong is irrelevant because it was against the law. Do you understand what I'm telling you? Because if you don't, I can arrest you, cite you and you can go in front of a judge and have that same conversation with them. You were borderline reckless driving in this parking lot and when I tried to have a conversation with you about it, you got loud and disorderly. And then when I asked you for your identification, you obstructed by not providing it. You're watching too much television, ma'am. That is not how this works. You either did the crime or you didn't and I don't have to sit here and it's not Man, you got loud with me this whole time. >> You got out of the car screaming and yelling. >> It's all on video. So, you you want to talk to the judge about it or do you want to talk to us about it? I'm going to take you to East Point. Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> For what? No. No. Let me hold on. >> You want to play the game? >> No. No. No. No. No. No. Come on. Come on. >> You fighting us for? >> Hold on. Can you please stop? I didn't even say nothing or do nothing. >> Put your hands up. >> Can you please stop? I asked if you was writing a Hold on. >> Take the phone from her. >> I will put down my phone there. But can you >> Nope. >> Jesus. Come on. I didn't even do nothing. I asked you if you was all right to take it. How is that disorderly? You told me what I did. I was fine. >> Everything up to that point. >> Yes, but I I Yeah, you was You told me I was yelling. >> You didn't want to You didn't want to believe me that I was within my rights and now >> I stopped talking. You told me to stop talking. >> Does this person unclasp? I'll cut it off for you if I have to, but you're not coming out of these handcuffs till I process you. Does your purse that is around your body unclasp? >> I don't understand why you're arresting me. You told me to be quiet. I I been quiet. >> Ma'am. >> You're arresting me because you >> Just cut it. Just cut it. That's See, that's the problem. You got a smart ass attitude. That's the problem. The officer, he you know, let him get his spiel off, you know, he going on rambling, you know, let him get his thing off. And you know, you say you know what's You know what, officer? My apologies. All right? And he just going to go about write his little tickets, you know, whatever, and go about your day. But you want to come back with You going to write the tickets? Oh, why? You Like it's just the snarkiness. And that's the thing. You don't get it. You don't get it. Damn. This could have easily site released. You could tell the officer really didn't want to do the whole nine. He He really didn't. You know what I'm saying? Cuz I [ __ ] I don't know. What time is it? Eight 8:30 or eight What was that? 13 14 15 16 17 18. So 6:00, you know, um I don't know what he work. 7 to 7 or if he working 3 to 11 or whatever, you know, but he ain't really feel like doing you know, he didn't feel like taking her, you know, but at some point you not just going to keep putting up with the with the bull crap, you know. >> Because you are you obstructed me. >> Because what? Because >> Because you did disorderly conduct. >> you want me to do? So I I shut my mouth, didn't I? This doesn't even make sense. >> Ma'am, you didn't you didn't want to have this conversation and now you can have it with a judge. >> This is crazy. I ain't got a ticket. Y'all talking to me disrespectful, but that's all right. >> It's all right. It's all on video. You can see who's disrespectful. >> Where are my keys? Let me out my car. >> Marking a lot of orders. >> That's You heard what I said, but I left my car. >> Nope. Come on. >> Uh Tasha, can you call a Q and have my aunt come down come down here? Don't push me. >> I'm guiding you. >> push me. >> I'm guiding you. >> push me. >> Just because you're in handcuffs does not mean that you're resisting. >> You're not going to get loud with me. You're not. >> I'm telling >> You act like one. >> When you snatch away from me, I'm going to get rough with you. >> Don't play with me. You already threatened me. You already said you're going to write me as many tickets as you can. Don't go in my phone. Don't do nothing. >> I don't have a warrant for that, so I ain't worried about that. >> That's fine. >> They got the charger out. >> That's fine. That's fine. Go ahead. See, you told me you were going to write me as many tickets as you can. You got write me all kind of [ __ ] >> Okay. Well, now you can talk to the judge about your conduct. >> Can I get in the truck? >> No. You can get back there. >> small back here. I'm asking can I get in the >> Yeah. >> It's small back here. I didn't I didn't get the other really small. >> Are you talking about the back? >> Yes. >> You can get in the front. >> It's actually smaller in the front right here. >> It's the other side. the format is a little long, too. Great. >> This is crazy. >> I'll tell you in a second. >> Oh, don't put that on me cuz I'm probably >> I'm buckling you up. It's against the law to not. I don't care. Were you not wearing your seatbelt earlier? >> YES, I WAS. >> OKAY, then you can wear this one. >> In a tight >> around? >> Ma'am, you got to have your seatbelt on, okay? >> Yeah, yeah, you don't you don't remember that campaign back in the day, click it or ticket? >> Hold on. I'm trying to tell >> I'll let you talk to her in a second. >> What could have been resolved with a simple citation escalated into an arrest after a series of arguments, refusals, and challenges. >> Hit the subscribe to 85 [music] crazy as footage on a midnight vibe. Bounce [singing and music] to the rhythm. Let the baseline hit. >> [music] >> Shock god damn reaction.
