These troopers are heroes and warriors, and we as a community in this their time of need, they need our support more than ever. And we must always remember to thank them for their service. >> So, while these troopers so often serve us as a community in the days ahead, we must support them. They're going to need our love. They're going to need our support. And this should be a reminder that we should always thank them for even those things that appear to be the most basic, like a routine traffic stop. >> A Kentucky State Trooper has just been shot and killed in the line of duty. Yes, an official state revenue generator and what some would call a roadside extortionist has been taken out to pasture. We're going to take a look at this news story and you'll want to stay tuned for this pathetic propaganda state trooper news conference and what they say. And I'm going to share with you a silver lining because under this news story right here, looks like people are really waking up to the fact that these trooper associations look more like an organized crime ring. >> We begin tonight with breaking news as Kentucky State Police right now are looking for a suspect they say shot and killed a state trooper on Interstate 65 in Warren County. That's near Bowling Green, roughly 35 miles north of the Tennessee-Kentucky border. Now, police departments around that state are sending condolences right now to the loved ones of Trooper Hayden Phillips. Officers are looking for the car on the right there. It's described as a bluish-gray Honda Civic with an Alabama license plate. It was at the scene during the shooting. If you see this car, you are urged to call 911. >> Now, we know that Kentucky State Troopers have body cams and they have dash cams. They have not released the camera footage and they're expecting us to take their word for it every step of the way. Before we get to this news conference, I just want to share with you some comments under this video that we just watched. It's okay, everyone. The shooter is going to resign from his job. No charges will be filed after he does that. Release the trooper citation files. I want to see if he had a type. You know, cuz they're always profiling people out there. Hallelujah. His qualified immunity has been revoked. The shooter investigated himself and found no wrongdoing. Post the video. No video? Cops are lying. A lot of applause lines for this comment. He feared for his life. It's justified. A lot of people praying for the trooper right here. Blessed are the peacemakers. A trooper is a peacemaker? 99.99% chance the trooper was violating his rights. And under that comment, good riddance. This is an interesting comment. I don't know what kind of cop or man he was. What I do know is people are realizing that the cops will shoot your dog or donkey, violate rights, assault you, kill you over a wrong address on some report or plate number from Flock, illegally arrest you with impunity, then the citizen has to go to jail, get strip searched, come up with bail money, hire a lawyer, etc. While the cop gets a taxpayer-funded vacation during the ongoing investigation with a taxpayer-funded lawyer to cover for his tyrannical behavior. And if the citizen wins a lawsuit, the pig walks away unscathed. And again, the taxpayers pay for the lawsuit. More and more people are seeing that the cops are not the good guys. They are drones for the corrupt system and the true sovereign citizens. I spent years supporting law enforcement, and now I'm on the polar opposite side. Under that comment, I hear he, the trooper, had a pre-existing condition, a lead allergy. More applause. You got it right a thousand percent. Definitely true. Nobody believes the cops words. Notice people that there is no dashcam video released. This is because Trooper Phillips escalated and thought he was above the law. Trooper Phillips started trouble. The victim made sure that Trooper won't do it again. This person says that individual was an idiot. Not all police officers are like just like humans. Nope, all cops lie all the time. And the guy who wrote the original post said, "Other humans have to deal with consequences. Cops don't. If I trespass on someone's property and shoot their dog, what happens to me? Now, when a cop does it, prayers for the family, FTP. Maybe he did it himself. We don't know if that's true." All right, let's check out this press briefing and you tell me which cops are lying. >> Typically, I would start off by saying good evening. Uh but this is not a good evening. Uh Commissioner Burnett is going to start us off. >> I guess it really kind of depends on how you look at it. >> Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while patrolling Interstate 65 in Warren County. >> He He made the ultimate sacrifice while acting like a roadside extortionist. >> Assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103, a 3-year veteran of our agency. His dedication to duty and commitment to the Commonwealth will never be forgotten. Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips' family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor his life he lived. >> Isn't that like honoring Al Capone or Lucky Luciano? >> You know, earlier, I spoke with Governor Beshear, and he's asked that I share this statement from him. Kentucky, please join Brittany and I as we pray for the family of Trooper Hayden Phillips, whose life was taken today after being shot in the line of duty. Hayden was a hero who dedicated himself to protecting our Commonwealth even more. He was a devoted husband and loving father to three children. >> So, the Democrat Governor Andy Beshear views this trooper and the Kentucky State Troopers as heroes. Just like Republican governors view state troopers as heroes. >> Let us wrap our arms around the family during this time. I want to thank Governor Beshear for his support in this. And we're here to share some information regarding the events that took place earlier today. This afternoon, around 2:00 p.m. Central Time, Trooper Hayden Phillips, unit 369, stopped the vehicle on Interstate 65 in Warren County. >> Why? What was the reason for the initial stop? Did the driver harm somebody? Did he threaten to harm somebody? Did he damage property? Did he steal property? Did he actually leave a victim? Did he violate somebody else's rights? What was the reason for the traffic stop? There's going to be a reporter that asks this particular question right here. >> During the traffic stop, Trooper Phillips was fatally shot by an occupant of that vehicle. >> Is it because the occupant of the vehicle was defending himself against the attack of Trooper Phillips? >> The vehicle then left the scene and law enforcement began an exhaustive search locating the suspect vehicle. >> While completely blocking off the interstate for anybody to travel or pass through for hours and hours when the interstate did not have to be blocked off. >> The suspect was located earlier this evening in Jefferson County where Louisville Metro Police Department, their tactical team, utilized their grappler to secure the vehicle and the suspect. The suspect has been identified as a Manny Brant aged 51 of Portland, Tennessee. I want you to know I only mention his name one time in the re- >> And that's going to be a lie. He will mention this guy's name again and he will spell this guy's name. How do you know cops are lying? Oh, that's right. Their lips are moving. >> I want you to know I only mention his name one time. And the reason why is because of his cowardly actions that he did today to Trooper Phillips. >> The driver's cowardly actions? You mean the driver pulled the trooper over or did the trooper pull the driver over under the implied threat of force and violence where if he doesn't pull over on the trooper's command, he's going to be chased down to the ends of the earth. Who initiated the cowardly actions exactly? And why won't you tell us exactly what happened and why won't you release the body and dash cam footage of the incident? >> The suspect has now been charged with murder of a first responder peace officer. >> Was it murder or self-defense a reporter should ask? >> I'd like to speak directly to Hayden's family. Please know we will seek justice for Hayden. >> They didn't even care about Hayden Phillips and I'll show you that in a second. They don't even know how old the guy was. There's going to be another cop, a public relations representative for the police department that's going to get up pretending like he's crying for his fellow brother, and they don't even know how old their fellow brother was. Let me repeat that. >> We will seek justice for Hayden. We will not rest until this happens. My prayers and the prayers of this agency are with each of you tonight. >> If you're going to seek justice for Hayden, are you going to seek justice for the people that Hayden lived his life to domestically terrorize? How many people are sitting in prison right now, Commissioner, because of the actions of Hayden Phillips? How many innocent people are sitting in jail? How many people were economically terrorized during his 3-year tenure as a Kentucky State Police officer? >> And every Kentuckian that's out there listening to this, see what sacrifices that the men and women in law enforcement do to keep this Commonwealth safe. >> Our roadside extortionists need your sympathy. They need your support. They are protecting and serving you by initiating force and violence and brutality and theft on the rest of you. You need to be appreciative. >> A man, a husband, a father, a son, fellow trooper, colleague lost his life today to do that. >> Next to the podium, I'm going to invite uh US Attorney John Baumgardner. >> Today is one of the absolute worst days a community can experience. One of the men who wakes up every day, kisses a wife, and three little boys goodbye after strapping on his gun belt and putting on his badge. >> I'm sure Hitler's Gestapo did the exact same thing. I'm sure Al Capone, before he went to work every day, kissed his wife and his kids. >> He's no longer with us. The day started like so many days do for law enforcement. They set out to serve us, each one of us, to protect us. Tragically >> That's some strange kind of service, man. >> Hayden was murdered on the side of the road doing what is routine, doing a traffic stop. >> Doing what is routine, doing a traffic stop. What is routine is deprivation of rights under color of corporate traffic law. Deprivation of rights under the color of gun laws. Deprivation of rights under the color of drug war laws. And Deputy Hayden Phillips partook in that deprivation of rights against people he claims to be or he claimed to be protecting and serving. >> He was senselessly murdered. >> Was it really senseless, though? Could you Could you prove that? Could you prove it was senseless? >> We have a wife that expected her husband to come home. We have three little boys who don't have a dad because he served us. Because >> Why would you expect a guy to come home when he's harassing people every single day of the week? Economically terrorizing them, lifting hundreds of dollars from every single person that he stops for stupid seatbelt ticket or didn't activate the turning signals when they should. Looking to harass and pull people over and hem them up for pursuing life, liberty, and happiness by carrying illegal plant matter. How do you expect a guy who routinely treats other human beings like dirt bags to come home safe at the end of every shift? >> Because he served our community. Because he wanted to keep each of us safe. He gave the ultimate sacrifice. He did what he was called to do, we are forever indebted to Trooper Phillips. On behalf of the Attorney General of the United States, I cannot begin to express how sorry we are to his wife and his kids for their loss. But I can thank you. I can thank you for allowing him the opportunity to serve our community. He served so valiantly. While these men bravely serve us every day, to the community of Bowling Green, >> [cough] >> to [clears throat] the Commonwealth of Ken- >> This is so pathetic. >> tucky, these men and women are hurting. They lost a brother. They lost someone that they go every day to sign up to support our community, to protect our community. >> Support and protect our community. These are just euphemisms for terrorize and ruin our community. Tear our community down. Use legalized force and violence to destroy our lives. >> They share so many life moments together. >> You mean those special moments where they turn their body cams off and they mocked the rest of us as they run roughshod over us? You mean those special moments that you guys shared together when you conspire against our rights in violation of 18 U.S.C. 241? You mean those extra special law enforcement moments where you deprive us of our rights under the color of law against 18 U.S.C. 242? Are you talking about those moments? >> They share so many life moments together. They love each others like love each other like brothers. They lost one of them today. So while these troopers so often serve us as a community, in the days ahead, we must support them. They're going to need our love. They're going to need our support. >> You mean support them even though they have this kind of mentality? >> If you merge and we follow behind you and we merge, too, you're probably in trouble. Best way to find that out is get the [ __ ] out of the way. I can go 9 miles an hour. You can't. You can't do that. So, get the [ __ ] out of the way. If us officers stay behind you long enough, we can find a reason to pull you over. So, you might as well get the [ __ ] out of the way. >> And this should be a reminder that we should always thank them for even those things that appear to be the most basic, like a routine traffic stop. >> Uh thank you, Breanna Strauss. >> Through a host of investigative tools, we were able to identify the suspect. That took coordinated effort. That took the resources of each of the federal, state, and local agencies that were on scene. But, we were all committed to one purpose. One purpose only. To find the suspect, to get him out of our community, and to hold him to justice to the maximum extent of the law. He's been arrested. He will soon be transported back to Warren County, where at present he will face state murder charges. This is among, if not if not among, it's it's the most heinous crime that can be committed in our Commonwealth. One of our own was gunned down and murdered on the side of the road. We will not give up >> But, it could have been self-defense. It could have been, right? It could have been. >> until we pursue maximum justice and seek maximum justice for Trooper Phillips. Thank you. >> So, you know, it's a hard day for us. We >> This is the public relations guy who's going to pretend he's going to try like crazy. You know, cuz psychopaths have trouble really crying, but he's going to try like crazy to drum up some tears for his brother who he doesn't even know how old his brother is. >> Lost a family member today. You know, in moments like this, the best thing you can look out and see is the community reaching out, being there for you, giving all kinds of support cuz >> Doesn't that make you sick? Doesn't that put a just a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach, trooper? That all these people are supporting you as you just turn around and economically terrorize them and dog them on the side of the road and harass them and go after them and pursue them and pit maneuver them and taze their pets, kill their pets, kill their loved ones, raid their homes for no reason, violate their fourth amendment right to be secure in their person by asking for their ID, demanding their ID. >> Cuz every time I look my head up at post three, there was food coming in. There was all kinds of support from the community. We can't We can't thank the community enough for that. >> [snorts] >> Um he was our brother. He was our brother. Um sorry. But he was our brother and we want to thank everybody who dropped food off to post three and did and reached out cuz I I can't count the number of text messages I got to my phone, my state phone, and my personal phone. This has been It's been crazy. It's been It's It's been a day. Let's just say that. So, I I believe I can speak for everybody at post three when I say that Hayden was special. He was. >> Aren't they all special? >> We're going to We're going to miss him. We sure are. We're going to miss We're going to miss him so much. >> [snorts] >> Sorry. I've been holding this in all day and it's It's getting late, but >> [snorts] >> Okay, now the dramatic pause. Here we go. Got to play it up for the cameras. >> I'm sorry. >> [snorts] >> He was family and we can't thank the community enough for reaching out to us. From this day forward I I'm I will be the contact for everything when it comes to Trooper Phillip's burial. So don't don't hesitate to reach out to him. I'll answer any question that I can answer. It's not easy losing a family member at all. So It's the the community has been has been great today and we appreciate it. Thank you. >> We'll try to answer a few questions at this time. >> Give the spelling of the person arrested. Their name. >> Uh E Sorry. Stand by. I think we have a microphone here. >> Now the guy who said that he's not going to say the guy's name again is going to say the guy's name again and spell his name. This is the only time I'm going to say his name. >> I want you to know I will only mention his name one time. And the reason why is because of his cowardly actions that he did today. >> Amonie Branch E M O N N I E B R A N C H. He's 51 >> He's looking around to make sure that people saw him wipe away a tear. >> one years of age. >> Can you walk us through what led up to traffic stop and what happened when shots were fired? >> Uh uh >> Did you hear that? Listen to the question again. >> Can you walk us through what led up to traffic stop and what happened when shots were fired? >> Can you walk us through what led up to the traffic stop? >> Uh honestly, I don't have those details at this time. That's something >> You you really don't have those details? When they make a traffic stop, they make a call out to the radio and you don't have those details, you got to be kidding me. How about body cam? How about dash cam? How about you prove to us that you're not lying, that it was actual murder and not self-defense? >> Some of that will come out throughout the course of the investigation. >> Do you know why he was pulled over? >> I do not. >> I don't believe Do you Does anybody believe that these guys don't know why Amani, whatever his name was, was pulled over? >> Are you aware of any criminal background of the suspect? >> Personally, no. Uh it's been a little bit of a a scramble trying to get enough information just to put this together for this evening. >> He just looks like he's lying. He just looks like he's lying. >> Um but no, I don't have any At this moment in my disposal, I don't have his criminal background, no. >> Do you know how old Trooper Phillips was, how long he'd been with the state police? >> He's a 3-year veteran of the agency. Don't have his exact age. >> Do you know the name of the witness who called in the incident? >> Was he 30? >> 30 years old. >> He was Sorry. Trooper Phillips is 30 years old. >> So again, Trooper Hayden Phillips, who lived his life as a road pirate, has been summarily dispatched and the Kentucky State Police are tight-lipped about exactly what happened, but they are more than willing to call it a murder. Let me know what you think. Do you think Hayden Phillips was involved in some roadside extortion and maybe got caught up in a little roadside justice.
