She told the officers that she was bringing her son home from school. As they were speaking with her, they immediately observed indicators of impairment and noticed that her mirror was damaged on the passenger side. Based on their suspicion of impairment, Gina was asked to perform field sobriety exercises. >> Mirror here. And just follow it with your eyes. Don't move your head. Okay. >> Okay. 272 doing the area. [Applause] Keep looking. The next Do you know who this is here? When you get to step nine, you're going to take a series. You're going to leave your front foot forward. Take a series of small steps. Turn around. Take nine heel to toe steps back. One, two, three. Until you get to nine. You can keep your hands down at your side. Look down at your feet >> and count the numbers out loud. Nine going down. Nine coming back. We haven't got any further than that. >> Um what are you able to tell me? I just know that she was picked up and we're here. >> Yeah. >> Um anything beyond that the circumstances leading up to it? We we got calls uh about erratic driver and blowing the red light uh at 38 bypass. Um I don't know if you saw Did you go home yet? >> Not yet. >> Okay. So there's damage to the side of the uh the blue BMW. >> Um she says it hap she doesn't she thinks it might have happened in Delran. I I don't know. I don't know what what the deal is with that. I don't know if that was an earlier accident or something like that. So um I haven't I haven't spoke with Delran yet to see what's going on there. Um, but that's that's pretty much it. And we went to the house because uh we were advised that the owner of a vehicle because I'm I'm guessing the tag was called into a different district coming down 38 and they said that the owner of the vehicle was at at that address. So that's why we we went there. We searched we went out like near the bypass first and then went there. >> I got you. And um made contact at the at the house. >> Yeah. >> Um Okay. How when how long she been here? >> Uh I would say maybe maybe 10 minutes. >> Um all right. You able to let her know that I'm here? >> Yeah. So, if anyone, yourself included, needs to get in touch with me, I appreciate you taking the time to come out and talk. >> Yeah, man. I'm sorry about the situation. >> Yeah, man. >> All right. This is myself. And then you can give this to her. Just let her know I was here. And then um you don't have to pass on any messages, but just give that to her and let her know to reach out. I mean, if you're inclined to just say, "Hey, you know, Dan was here. Here's his card. You can reach out whenever you're done here." >> Okay. >> Um >> Yep. >> All right. Thanks. >> Oh, yeah. >> That was me. Who was the Chinese on the show? And do you have a video as well? >> Can I ask you just I'm his father up top. >> Um, >> good job. >> Does he need to get involved in this and help does he need to get involved in this beyond what he already did? >> And is there a record of his name on anything? >> I mean, he was he was the witness. Okay. He saw the operation, right? So, I just wanted that >> because it it helps us, right? And and does the woman or whoever got pulled over have access to his name now? >> No. So all that information gets redacted. >> All right. All right. >> Yeah. >> And then so like I pulled up I coached lacrosse at Holy Cross. So we went from Delan through Morristown and this was after she had gone fully into this lane like three times. >> But like she went up on the grass a couple of times. >> Yeah. I recorded her for a little while. >> That's way out there too. That's not even at highway. This was all the way. Yeah. Down. >> Where was this at? >> So, this was um from Loheed Martin right there. >> So, I had followed her all the way from like Del Rand. >> Did you ever see her anything? >> No, but her I know her mirror was hanging off. I don't know if she hit something earlier, >> but yeah, like at some point it's still just a lot of swerving, but then up here it gets to the point where like fully off. >> Did you get her going through any like stop signs or red lights by chance? >> No, she stopped at everything, but then like almost hit that. >> Yeah, she almost hit the pole. At one point she did almost hit another car. >> Did you tell if the kid was secure? Like was he >> No, he was in the the thing. I saw like I didn't realize there was a kid in the car until like we were at the red light turning left on a 38 and I saw like the hand come up. I was like, "Oh [ __ ] there's a kid in the car." >> And then uh >> I'll give you um Kex has a patrol phone, right? That probably the easiest way. >> This was an even longer video, but like kind of going back and forth. And this is after she had gone in this lane like three times. Like at one point there was a car fully coming. She was in this lane. So I honked at her a bunch. But and then I then when I pulled up next to her on 38, I was like, "Okay, there is an actual kid in the car." >> 38 in the bypass. >> So um I pulled up next to her as I was turning right on the Ark Road and she was going straight down 38. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So then up here is where probably the the worst one that I got on video was that and then fully up on the grass after it. >> Yeah. Oh jeez. >> This is address for you, sir. >> Yeah. Yeah. This was after like I was all the way in Del Rand and then that was all the way past that locked Martin thing and then on to 38. So >> yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. At first I was like I don't know if I should call somebody and then I was like I definitely should at this point. >> What's a good phone number for you? >> I just follow you. >> Yeah. I was I was on the phone with my girlfriend. And I was like, "Dude, should I call them?" She's like, "Just hang up. Call right now." >> He came in. He came home and fired. >> I was like, "I can't believe >> Yeah. I just saw this woman doing it." >> He was surprised a call like that could save >> after I saw the kid. I was like, I got to like especially that I felt really bad about that one. I was like, "Dude, this is messed up." >> Yeah. >> All right. >> I don't want >> Yeah. You worry about someone reaching out. >> Yeah. No, all that stuff is confidential and gets redacted. >> So, you don't have to worry about that. He doesn't have to be a quarter. >> Yeah. In detail a little bit. >> He did the right thing. So, we really appreciate it. >> Don't worry about this. >> He wants like switched into criminal justice. He wants to be a >> cop. [Applause] >> Uh, he doesn't know. I mean, he, you know, he uh I don't know. I think he'd be uh up for all of it. He loves he loves the idea of getting into the profession though. So >> yeah, that's awesome. Appreciate Appreciate what you guys do. >> We're hiring. >> Are you good? >> And then uh for that you give him a card. >> No. >> Oh yeah. >> All right. Take care. >> Thank you. I'll give him the supervisor phone. [Music] Just double check. Yeah, that was about it. Yeah, cuz then even when we got on 38, like started in the left lane and then blinkered all the way to the right lane and then just kind of slowly went all the way back to the left. I was like, damn. >> B Pascal at Lumberton Township or Lumbardon Police.com, not Township. Yeah, we do appreciate you uh especially getting a video because we can issue tickets for that and that'll obviously add to the case. So, >> all right, that's um say you know sometimes if you send a tag email it won't like go through because it's too large. That's his name road. I'm mentioning here the vehicle too. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Like right. Uh >> yeah. I mean, did you see like her description? >> Yeah, I didn't see her. I No, I didn't really see what she looked like. >> You remember what kind of car was? >> Yeah, the BM the pl just knew there was a kid in the car if you didn't see it. Very important. >> Do you guys have another pen? >> X-ray. Lima. Papa Lima. >> How long have you guys been on the force? >> I'm prior military. >> I did four four years in the Marine Corps, active duty, major sergeant. Then I came back home in 2021. Went back home to Camden. That's where I was born and raised. Did a year there. And then I swapped over here. >> And I've been here since 22. >> Yep. Graduated high school. Was a class one in Burlington City. Went down the shore for my CO2 down there for a few months. Came up to Riverton. Was there for about a year and a half, a little bit over that. And then now I'm here for the past two months just training. So >> that's awesome. He's talking about doing that sort thing down at >> Yeah, I would probably just try to get a full-time job. >> The weapons one, I think. >> The class one. Yeah, class one. Yeah, definitely. >> Everyone's hiring. So, you can apply anywhere and probably get hired as long as you got a clean background. >> Yeah. >> And a hard uh hardworking uh background, too. >> Yeah. He's a D3 lacrosse player down there. He's busting his ass. >> Oh, yeah. I'm sure >> you have an approximate time frame for this. >> Uh exactly. Just tell me when I took the video.
