hello hey are are you Megan's daughter
do you have anything illegal on your
person no no firearms no marijuana if
you're completely fine with her moving
your vehicle to a legal parking spot you
told me you were coming here to see your
daughter before I even told you that
stuff just remain here if you want to
let somebody know that that's where your
car's
at hasn't served but it doesn't mean
that against on February 13th 202 for
the west deot police conducted a traffic
stop after checking the vehicle's
license plate and discovering that the
car was registered to a driver who was
banned from driving consequently the
police quickly stopped the car and
approached the driver
Megan how's your day going today not
good we just put my dog down where you
heading right now
um okay does she have a doctor
appointment or what okay what happened
with her um
she
has her lb in her with what she tore her
lab Brum in her hip I've had one of
those
myself so the reason why I stopped you
today Megan is you're you're barred you
can't be driving your driver's license
status is
barred I just got
it the police officer asked the suspect
for some basic information and then
informed her that the reason for the
Stop was that she was driving while
banned at this point Megan seemed a bit
confused and didn't believe what the
officer was saying so she started
looking for her
documents according to Iowa state law
driving while banned barred is a serious
offense as stipulated in section
32156 of the Iowa
Code this is an aggravated misdemeanor
penalties for driving while bar can
include fines ranging from
$625 to
$6,250 and may result in imprisonment
for up to two
years drivers may be barred for multiple
severe traffic violations or vehicle
related crimes bar driving may also
apply if the driver has been convicted
of driving while suspended or through
the state of Iowa you can't be driving a
motor vehicle throughout throughout the
entire State what
[Music]
is that you I'll grab that for
you do you have an ID with
you like I just got
it it looks like that was issued back in
November just a couple months ago have
you have you gotten pulled over or
anything like that or any mail from the
DMV No in fact I have a letter at home
that says that I need to carry it with
me at all times do you have the form
4319 the form that the state has told
you that you have to have with you yeah
do you have that with you no
not the police explained the state law
and asked her if she had the state form
with her but she did not during this
process the police used a flashlight to
check the tint on her car
windows the specific regulations for
dark tinted car windows in Iowa are
stipulated in section
321.285 code front windshield and front
side windows must allow at least 70%
light transmission dark or reflective
front windshields are not permitted rear
side windows and rear windows no
restrictions on tint Darkness any level
of tint may be
used the law also states that tinted
windows should not be too reflective so
that people outside can clearly see
inside the vehicle violations of these
regulations may result in
fines yeah I have my insurance okay do
you have that insurance with
you why would I do
where it's in C up over there okay what
were we doing down over here my
son is at his dad put our dog down today
okay I was
just I can look it up but I'm going to
guess it's going to be uh a violation of
your driving
status I'm secure I'll take a second on
so just go and hang tight I'll be back
in a second okay the woman provided her
driver's license to the police who then
left to verify the
information so click on that first one
there me keep keep going keep going keep
going so put in put in your first last
name for me real quick and we'll see
what's going on with us have we gotten
pulled over since uh you had that issue
to you in November have you had any
other convictions or traffic stops or
violations of getting your SR22 filed in
time
I did have a um at the time period that
I was losing my license myter and I did
get a driving while suspended but that
was like at the
same like before I got my license okay
well let's click here and see why we're
barred
then while checking her driver's license
online she admitted to having a prior
conviction for driving while suspended
but said this was was a long time ago
before she received her new
license according to section
321.218 driving while license suspended
or
revoked this is a simple misdemeanor
with a minimum fine of
$250 and a maximum of
$1,500 and may result in imprisonment
for up to 30
days however in more severe cases fines
can reach up to 6,000
$250 and imprisonment up to 2 years if
repeatedly convicted or under
aggravating
circumstances home are you still at deos
can you put on speaker so I can hear
talk I just can't hear the police want
to talk to
you hello hey are are you Megan's
daughter hey where are you at right now
um did were you over here at uh were you
getting anything done at the doctor's
office over here today you can go hang
up go and stop out for
me Stu but when people lie to me we're
done so we're going to be going to jail
tonight for driving my bar so go and
step out for
[Music]
me to verify the information the police
spoke with Megan's daughter it turned
out that Megan lied to the police about
needing to go to the hospital to pick up
her daughter who actually confirmed that
she was at home this proved that Megan
had lied and the officer decided to
arrest her lying to the police can have
serious consequences such as being
charged with obstruction of justice
falsifying information and facing
penalties such as fines or imprisonment
this action undermines personal
credibility and complicates the
investigation process instead being
honest helps protect your rights avoid
legal risks and create a safer
environment cooperation and honesty with
the police not only help you avoid
penalties but also show respect for the
law in the community
yeah I
know do you have anything illegal on
your person no no firearms no marijuana
no if you're completely fine with her
moving your vehicle to a legal parking
spot in here sometimes if cars are messy
we don't necessarily want to move it but
if you're fine with
that yeah not going to that yeah there's
one minute left can I start it for
you will it shut off after a minute
just going you to move it you'll keep
going okay let's just step right back
there at the front of my car the woman
was asked to step out of the car and was
frisked when asked why she lied she gave
a reason that any offender
might why are we lying about this I'm
just nervous about my dog and I just
then when you said that I was just I'm
put your purse right up here for right
now okay I'm just confused and I didn't
okay want to get in trou I'm so confused
you told me you were coming here to see
your daughter before I even told you
that
stuff 20 we're security you can issue me
a case so did we know we were barred no
I didn't I honestly don't I didn't I do
not understand we were coming here to
see your daughter cuz I just I just got
scared my daughter's dad's house or my
son's dad's house what's his name we
just we just told my son
that she continued to cry and said she
was nervous but this did not convince
the
officer yeah if you could for
me was there no contact order in place
between the two of you are you sure
about that yes okay well let's just hold
off on calling him real quick do you
know his address oh does he share
location at
all you scroll down can you see location
now don't have a no contact order what's
his last name how old is he
48 and uh did you have any like did you
get arrested for a domestic or anything
like that that happened with him one
boyfriends that you had he's the
defendant though no he's you're
protected Miranda okay
no okay just go and hang tight up here
with her for a second I'll be back in a
second when asked if there was a no
contact order between her and this man
the woman asserted that there was none
eventually the police temporarily left
and asked the woman to wait while they
continued to check and handle the
situation A no contact order is a legal
measure issued by the court to protect
individuals from threats harassment or
violence from from another person the no
contact order May specify the distance
the accused must keep from the
complainant and prohibit any form of
contact such as phone email or social
media the main purpose of a no contact
order is to ensure the safety and rights
of the victim if the accused violates
the order they may be fined arrested or
face other penalties as prescribed by
law after searching the car and having
enough reason to be suspicious the
officer read her the Miranda rights
which is a necessary legal protocol the
police must follow to ensure fairness
and transparency in law
[Music]
enforcement all right Megan so since
you're sitting here talking to two cops
I'm going to read your Miranda Rights
okay so you have the rights remain
silent
THC it might have a trace of it yet is
it like THC oil or what it's like a
CBD Blend or something okay where'd you
get this from um my where did he get it
from like
Colorado the police searched the car and
found a wax pen containing thee in her
car which was clear evidence of
marijuana use the woman denied ownership
claiming it belonged to her ex-husband
and was not related to her but she was
unaware that the police had already
uncovered the
truth fake Tetra hydr cannibal is the
main compound that causes the
psychological effects of marijuana fake
is used in medicine to release Le Pain
nausea and stimulate appetite especially
in cancer and hi AIDS patients however
thi use can also cause side effects such
as anxiety hallucinations and short-term
memory
loss he has a no contact order with you
it just hasn't been served what so I
would be cognizant of that so if I run
somebody runs into him I run him they're
going to serve him as no contact order
where he can't be contacting you at all
I can look at what couny it's through
again but I would to them if you're
wanting it Dro so when I test this is it
going to come back as THC pop something
in it I'm sure blend it's a blend right
is it a hemp CBD pen or is it going to
be this okay okay honestly I don't all
right so just go ahead and turn around
put your hands behind your
back during the inspection and
interrogation the police informed the
woman that there was a no contact order
against her and another man therefore
her statement about meeting him meant
she violated this order she also
admitted there might be some th in the
pen but was Ure of the exact
concentration when asked by the police
ultimately the police proceeded to
arrest
her nothing else on your person at
all just remain here want to let
somebody know that that's where your
car's
at hased but doesn't
mean and I'll tell you what county it's
through but I'm guessing it's from some
type of domestic relationship uh okay
Megan I'll just have you stand up right
here face flag for me okay just go and
face flag for me here real
quick I
don't nothing in your bro off all right
go now
see after ensuring she did not have any
dangerous items on her Megan was placed
in the patrol car to be taken to jail
and the police then conducted a more
thorough search of her car so how come
you use
this it's
more how often do you get these from
your
ex-husband oh girl that's THC all
day what am I
testing just hold the pen and stuff
off yeah marijuana no nothing else no
okay
see it's changing colors from purple
what was that
over yeah if it's testing in here then
it's
over they checked and found a quantity
of CA in the pen and questioned her
about her use after inspection the
police confirmed that the woman had used
thake above the permissible limit
meaning she would be arrested and face
charges for this
offense in Iowa recreational use of
marijuana containing th is illegal
however the use of cannabis products
with low th content up to 3% thake is
allowed for patients with serious
medical conditions such as cancer HIV
AES Parkinson's disease and other
specific medical
conditions patients need a doctor's
prescription and must register for the
program to use it legally according to I
code
124e violating cannabis laws in Iowa can
lead to severe penalties including fines
and
imprisonment Additionally the woman's
actions could face charges under Iowa
Code
321j this law prohibits driving under
the influence of drugs including
marijuana this includes inspection
penalties and other administrative
measures such as licensed
suspension finally the woman was
arrested and taken to poke County Jail
on charges of inhaling a prohibited
substance from hemp and driving while
barred she will have to be accountable
for her actions before the law this
incident underscores the danger and
severe consequences of using marijuana
while driving and the importance of
honesty when interacting with law
enforcement driving under the influence
of drugs not only endangers the driver
but also threatens the safety of other
Road users additionally lying to the
police can worsen the situation lead to
harsher penalties to protect yourself in
the community everyone should comply
with cannabis laws always drive sober
and be honest with law enforcement
agencies today we will watch a video
documenting a serious situation where a
woman drives under the influence of
alcohol and resists arrest when stopped
by the police through this video we aim
to analyze the important legal lessons
and severe consequences of such actions
helping us better understand our
responsibilities as
[Music]
drivers on June 16th 2022 in Florida a
police officer stopped a woman
attempting to drive onto a road closed
for repaving after being stopped she
drove away but soon returned and tried
to enter the closed road again at this
point the officer noticed signs of
intoxication this is the body camera
footage of the subsequent
events yes ma'am
TR
Insurance my
registration where are you coming
from I stopped at the Draft House my mom
I think maybe that's part of the problem
right
now I'm just want
my your
intro promise I'm trying to leave
the it's been
hours
hours we left the Draft House 3
hours when asked the woman provid
provided her license to the officer
however it was evident she was
intoxicated as shown by her slurred
speech and sluggish
demeanor driving Under the Influence is
an extremely dangerous behavior that
threatens the lives of the driver and
others instead one can call a taxi use
ride sharing services or ask friends or
family to drive them home additionally
it is essential to educate and raise
public awareness about the dangers of
drunk driving as well as to enhance law
enfor for M with strict penalties as a
deterrent oh so it took you 3 hours to
get from there to
here I had
dinner I asked you what time you left
the draft house before you came here to
go it's
just Okay so we've been through this one
a time I told you how you would need to
get to your house you're causing a
problem this gentleman who just trying
to do home I'm just trying to go home I
promise I'm not from here what does this
sign say right here okay so why would
you turn to face this way when we've
been through this one time already and
you know that the road's closed and you
can't go that way that's try to be a
trouble how did you go from listening to
what I told you to go to the

just trying to go home who's at home
right now I'm the old
at home my dogs are at home all right
give me a minute speak the woman
explained she just wanted to go
home but the situation could have been
avoided if she had not tried to enter
the restricted Road after being worn in
Florida intentionally driving into a
restricted area such as a marked closed
or limited access road is regulated
under Florida statute 36.091794
driving into or out of any restricted
roadways is only allowed at designated
entry and exit points additionally
drivers must comply with all posted
traffic control devices designating
specific Lane use or prohibiting Lane
changes in certain segments violating
these laws is considered a non-criminal
traffic infraction and is penalized like
a moving violation penalties typically
include fines and points added to the
driver's
license my name is officer
U my partner here was explaining to me
that take this back street here I Le
done told you more than one
time trying to be trouble I'm just
trying to go home where are you from I'm
from Tallahassee I'm not trying to be a
you have iPhone or anything like that
yes okay you don't have your Maps yes
but it keeps taking me this way you know
how to zoom in and out on your
phone of the map so they can show you
different routes it keeps taking me this
way and they kept circling me around I'm
not trying to be in pain I got you so
where are you coming from now what do
you mean where am I I understand I'm
saying where like where at the location
the
place okay is that we at a restaurant at
a bar the woman slurred speech betrayed
her making the officer realize she was
not being truthful his instincts told
him something was
wrong I've been out okay did you have
anything to drink no you didn't have
anything to drink no you had a couple
drinks I just want to go home I
understand that but we're beyond that
point I'm asking a question why you why
because you keep insisting on going home
but right now want to go home my partner
suspect you a DUI I suspect your DUI
right now I smell alcohol coming from
your breath so I'm going to get straight
to the point since you keep cutting me
off about going home since I suspect you
of DUI I would like to conduct some
field sobriety test you see to test your
alcohol would you like to participate in
field sub test no okay do you understand
if you don't uh participate you can
still be arrested for suspicion of DUI
so would you like to conduct field soety
test I would like to go we're beyond
that point it's my third time telling
you that so like I said would you like
to conduct fil sobriety
test you want to stand in front of my
vehicle

enough drink for you no I'm not sing
anything how much have you had a drink
not enough for you not to let me go
home not enough for you not to let me go
home you look at him and smile all night
long the woman displayed a defiant
attitude and refused to cooperate with
the police leading to her
arrest you're more than welcome and feel
since you're so frisky and all we're
going to have a female fo that's
fine sit you have to lean anywhere

your you do not have the right to get in
my car but if you get in my car I can
assure you you'll pay for
it the officers attempted to search the
vehicle but she adamantly prevented it
the woman claimed the police had no
right to search her car without her
consent and persistently resisted she
continuously voiced her objections and
tried to stop the
officers in Florida resisting law
enforcement is clearly outlined in
statutes and can lead to severe
penalties
including Florida stat SS
843.svg
gree
misdemeanor if resistance involves olves
violence it is covered under Florida
stat SS
843.svg
felony with more severe

you kick me again I throw you on the
ground no you quit touching me is what
you need to quit doing because the off
me the woman mistakenly assumed the
police officer's calm demeanor was a
given not realizing their patience was
running out prompting them to use other
measures to handle the
situation she was truly a challenge for
the officers forcing them to use the
last resort to arrest
explain to me why I'm cuz you're under
arrest for DUI no I'm not let's get in
the
car
Dam hey sge y you want to just hold on
for give me the leash and I'm going to
go to the other side with it I'm going
to thread it through huh face down on
the ground so she can't do
anybody the woman was ultimately
arrested and faced charges of
misdemeanor Di and felony assault on a
police office officer the woman's drunk
driving was not only dangerous but also
showed disregard for home life and
others when stopped by the police
instead of cooperating she chose to
resist complicating and worsening the
situation this Behavior not only
violates the law but also contradicts
basic values of safety and Community
responsibility to ensure safety for
everyone strict measures and education
are needed to raise awareness about the
serious consequences of drunk driving
let's work together to create a safer
traffic environment by obeying laws and
acting responsibly sounds good all right

the car
okay I
need on May 5th 2023 in the state of
Wisconsin a female driver was operating
her vehicle erratically with
inconsistent speeds the police suspected
that she might be driving under the
influence of alcohol leading them to
initiate a traffic stop and then I was
looking at the GPS and we're talking she
trying to navigate that's sure you
weren't drunk drive or anything like
that course of course not what brings
you to Walkera okay yeah we were for
work for a funraising company so oh okay
very cool um how long are you in town

to do a couple quick tests if you pass
it we'll get you on your way please all
right appreciate it come right back over
here the suspect explained that she was
not a local resident and was relying on
G GPS for navigation while conversing in
the car which resulted in her inability
to maintain a steady speed the police
acknowledged this explanation but
proceeded with sobriety tests to ensure
that she was not driving Under the
Influence s was good all right can you
see the tip my finger yeah all right can
you follow with your eyes your eyes only
don't move your head just follow with
your eyes only does that make sense yes

field sobriety tests including a
horizontal gaze nagus test and a walk

appeared anxious and was unable to
perform the tasks

June July August September October the
test continued with alphabet recitation
and Counting backward and is expected
she remained visibly nervous throughout
the process and lastly I'm just going to
grab a breast sample from you um you you
said that you've had I I really don't
want to do you know do you know the
legal limit in Wisconsin I don't okay
but I okay um it's 08 how how do you
feel right now I feel good I feel good
I'm stressed out what I need you to do
is just seal your lips around the tube
like you're blowing up a balloon and
blow long and steady and then I'll tell
you when to stop are you ready I'm not
doing that I'm not you're not gonna do
this I did I not passed every Test
please please I need
to you're not going to do one please
okay well I think you've had more than
just one whiskey tonight well you
definitely had too much to drink tonight
okay how based on my observations of
your driving and then your performance
on these tests based on their
observations and the information
gathered the police suspected that she
might have consumed more than one
whiskey and could be over the legal
blood alcohol limit she was asked to
perform a breathalizer test but she
refused leading the police to arrest her
okay so can you put your hands behind
your back for me are you
sure are you serious yes uh just stay in
the car
okay need I
need yeah she's getting arrested from
the test really I didn't
pass all right come right up over
here would you like to put your shoes
back on you want to walk in your socks
just come right here just got to search
you do you have any more Pockets just
that one do you have any property on
your person no please don't ruin my life
right now is there anything out of the
vehicle that you like cell phone
wallet hands up for me thank
you really all can I have a
seat yep just have a seat it goes around
to your right side I really didn't pass
the test
no the police searched her and placed
her in the patrol car while she remained
in disbelief unable to accept that she
had failed the sobriety tests and was
being arrested after completing the
necessary procedures they spoke with
another passenger in the vehicle to
discuss how to handle the car hello um
have you been drinking at all tonight do
you feel like you could take a
breathalyzer just to see if you're under
the legal limit you could drive the car
oh that's fine and then also I'm going
to follow my manager and one of our
other team members is meeting this here
right now there's a booking
procedure and then do you mind
if can you hear um so did she fail the
bre Breer uh she refused the
breathalizer but just too much to drink
tonight um the fact that she's from out
of state makes it a little bit more
difficult so she might have to um I have
to talk with my supervisor she might
have to post a bail tonight in order to
get released um but because she doesn't
have ties to waaaw the courts have to
make sure that she's going to be able or
like tomorrow morning or posting 500
bucks I think it's 500 bucks don't quote
me um I'll know more when we get
there R so she told me that she had two
margaritas tonight that she might be
under the legal limit I was going to get
a breast sample from her just to see
where she is if she's under the legal
limit I was going to ask you if you're
okay with her yeah okay um but that's
that's going to be up to you and I was
going to see and in order to explore
that option she has to be under the
legal
limit the female passenger underw a
breath alizer test but was not qualified
to drive so they agreed to park the car
in a safe location nearby Additionally
the suspect was informed by the police
that she might need to post bail or wait
to see a judge the following
morning so one of your other co-workers
just pulled up she's going to go with
her she's had too much to drink tonight
as well get it you're out of state it's
a hassle especially getting your car
back from a tow yard um if you can get
it back at a later time just whenever
you get release okay is that is that
okay with you I'll grab your phone grab
your keys and we'll try to get this show
on their own it's very important to
listen to all the words on this form you
can read along with me I wish I could if

arrested and taken to jail while all

trust me that's
not that's
with you too yes not with you because
you're a liar on July 7th 2021 Lee
County Port Authority officers
intervened in a flight to handle
passenger Shang who was not complying
with the mask mandated exhibited
disruptive behavior Shang was accused of
spitting on another passenger and
causing a disturbance prompting the
captain to request a removal from the
plane hello
we're going to take you off the aircraft
get you up you you're going to have to
get off the aircraft okay and you out

respect that okay so I'm going to need
you to grab your bag and just I did not
do anything actually disrespect we'll
talk about it disruptive besides speak
my mind I live in America and that's

say what I am meant to say to everybody
stand up man everybody is doing you're
going to get arrested if you do not stop
I'm already going to get ARR you're
going to get arrested if you don't stand
up and get off the air probably already

to ask you one more time and then I'm
going to have to put my hands on you
okay for what please let me ask you that
you you're going to
put and that's fine that's fine why do
you have a right to put your hands on me
why do you have a right to put your
hands on me ma'am what am I doing that
makes you feel like you have a right to
put your hands on me seriously though
can you tell me that when she was asked
to take her bag and leave Shong
protested and expressed her personal
views on freedom of speech in America
claiming she was merely speaking her
mind and not causing a disturbance the
female passenger displayed a defiant and
uncooperative attitude leading the
officer to warn that she would be
arrested if she did not comply with the
request can you just tell me that like
I'm actually asking you as a at this
point here's what's happening to De the
aircraft that was already happening and
you're going to jail just so you know
already happening it will happen if you
get up and walk out with me right now do
you see how that's a thring system
that's the way it is man that's not cool

that no you should though you should
have to honor that that's my f like you
need to no we're getting to the point
where you're not expect not at this
point the woman continued to be
disruptive and disorderly and out of
concern for the safety of the other
passengers the officers were forced to
remove Schwing from the flight before a
deaning order was
[Music]
issued
sh I didn't do anything that did
anything to no man that's not okay
dude up against the
wall and I was calm and you honestly
acknowledged me for a moment and then
you didn't
leave your hands there you didn't have
to like that I didn't have to be like
that I wasn't doing it come with me no
man this [ __ ] is [ __ ] up in you
I you to you me I saw you look at me in
my eyes just grab her bag yeah yeah she

[Music]
backpack why

[Music]
there trong was escorted off the plane
and arrested at which point she began
crying in an unconvincing manner she
repeatedly accuse the officers of
treating her unfairly and violating her
human rights said if I got up no why
would I stop when you lie to me how is
anyone going to stop anything when you
lie to them
you have your chance now you didn't even
give me a chance I looked at you in your
eyes and I knew you were lying to me
[ __ ] sure that's
F that's was the resistance that you
felt with your mask off no you're better
than that that's not cool that's not
cool dude it's really not really not I
am not a person hurting anybody I'm a
person hurting
[Music]

interfer that's what you're getting
arrested

[Music]
are I have a [ __ ] cat I to like
is [ __ ] and you you're going to you give
me all the reason to keep saying like
that like in the eyes you give me you do
you're fighting for a system that isn't
just to you all you know that
[Music]
you hey have a seat watch your
[Music]
head the suspect also lated between
claiming to be a victim and expressing
outrage at the police accusing an
officer of deceiving her into complying
and not wearing a mask during the
interaction the officers had to work
hard to get her into the patrol car yeah
she's been it's been a lot of talk I had
to pull her off an aircraft
so all right step out are you going to
comply with with you two yes not with
you cuz you're a liar no he said he
literally the reason he has me arrested
right now is for fing Li you you you
looked at me I was I looked at you
outside of this now can I say something
before anybody takes me out so that I
can just say what I have to say and then
I can say what I have to say and then
that's I I will I will do what you want
me to do because I'm here
now no no it's I don't get it doesn't
matter about that what matters is that
you have an injust officer that's
abusing his power RW my mother's a
social worker and you're about to like
you you made eye contact with me before
I ever got on that plan you acknowledged
the fact that you weren't wearing a mask
and then you got on the plane and then
you made eye contact me and then you
manipulate the situation no that's what
happened like I'm sorry that's what
happens I know all let me get your
temperature at least oh you think he's
cute oh yeah I thought he was cute too I
thought he was cute too I looked in his
eyeballs and I thought he looked into my
eyeballs and
this seriously
please want
to not say that I am being arrested for
things that are I was on an airplane I
was doing nothing I was
speaking not following my right my
Constitution once again we see a
situation where the arrested individual
tries to shift all the blame onto a
specific officer Shong began screaming
and the situation became more tense as
she continued to insult the nurse who
came to assist I need weird procedure
help can I have your name please first
can we just adopt something that makes
me want to be safe why can I not be
save why is this like this is not my
human stop I would relax if you would
let me you're not is she good oh my

me on February 8th
2022 the Grand Junction police executed
a seizure warrant for Tina Peter's iPad
who was suspected of illegally recording
during a recent court session the
warrant was issued following reports
that that Peters might have violated
regulations regarding recording and
disseminating information from the
court not you're not going to put a hand
on anybody

when the police arrived to enforce the
warrant Tina Peters was was
uncooperative and strongly resisted she
vehemently opposed and accused the
police of causing her pain Peter's also
challenged the officer's Authority
creating a tense atmosphere from the
outset the law enforcement they're
always going to win that's certain do a
favor do me a favor let go of me you're
hurting me obstruction at the
moment okay here ma'am I don't care if
you record but can you just step back a
little bit I want I I
I could talk in her ear no you need to
sit back ma'am let go let's walk over
here and put her in the car
stop you're hurting me walk then you're

ARR you're being Hing me unless you want
to be detained too back up I don't care
if you record just back up stand up
straight ma'am I am standing straight
you're pushing me over with your hand
I'm holding on to your
jacket what are you talking about get
out of my pants I am conducting the
search if you move you will find
additional charges find additional
charges this is like arrest without
cause the woman was then escorted to the
patrol car and throughout this process
Peters repeatedly accused the police of
hurting her even though they tried to
keep the situation under control during
the search she continued to resist
claiming that her arrest was
unreasonable and making further baseless
accusations silver
okay ma'am have a seat for me have a
seat in the
car do you have any idea here just get
over a little bit do you really know
what you're doing you're assisting
Meritt Garland to not show the truth of
what okay get
over
really Peters was later placed in the
patrol car and the police proceeded to
search her vehicle to seize evidence
related to the iPad however as
anticipated the woman began accusing the
police once
again great my name is Michael SC I
with's office I wish you would
investigate this this is what I want to
I'm going to let gjpd do what what they
need to do regarding in there with them
we have this hurting this IP that is not
my iPad okay we have this iPad that is
not my iPad that you're someone else's
prop you've taken all my equipment all
my stuff and you still can't find
anything yeah but I I can't exactly hold
it well you could AFF
she expressed frustration over the
seizure of her device and belongings and
the situation only eased when the
officers explained that they had a
warrant to conduct the
search so I'd love for them to take
these handcuffs off of you I I was
trying to tell them they were hurting me
I will have bruises to show how they've
hurt me so you're going to listen to
this officer but if the way he removes
handcuffs that's fine if you'd like me
to explain this to you I'd rather stand
face to face you hold it then have be in
the back of the cop
cars step on out up on the
sidewalk just hold your hand right there
until I tell you you can move it
please no no I I think you broken my
hand you like to do this and would you
like an
ambulance took a picture of my hand
I'm asking you if you if you know the
passcode that would be helpful how do I
find how do I get a hold of you know
until I talk to my attorney I'm not tell
that's fine so would you like the answer
to that if I had the passcode it's a lot
faster we can plug it in and we can
start the extraction sometimes in the
same day but probably this week if I
don't have the passcode if I don't have
the passcode it takes a substanti longer
time so if I can talk to Tammy and get
the passcode it could be a lot quicker
should uh should I be trying to figure
out who Tammy
is but she's the only one who has I
don't I'm not going to talk
to in
reality finally she was released on the
spot and is being prosecuted before
leaving the police requested additional
information about the iPad but she
refused after which they completed the
seizure procedure and left the scene in
April 2023 Tina was convicted of
obstructing official duties under
Colorado code section 188
104 the statute defines such actions as
intentionally hindering disrupting or
interfering with the lawful duties of an
officer she was sentenced to four months
of house arrest and 120 hours of
community service related to this
arrest by August 2024 the trial related
to the 2021 election system violations
took place and the woman was convicted
on three charges attempting to influence
a public official conspiracy to commit
criminal impersonation an official
misconduct specifically section 188 306
states that attempting to influence a
public official's decision or action is
a class four felony section
18513 applies when someone deliberately
falsifies another person's Identity or
information to commit fraud or deceit
which is a Class 6 felony section 188
404 defines official misconduct for
personal gain as a Class 2
misdemeanor however she was acquitted of
three other charges including criminal
impersonation and identity theft she
could face up to 6 years in prison for
each of the most severe charges along
with 18 months for conspiracy to commit
criminal impersonation additionally each
misdemeanor could result in a maximum of
6 months in
jail this is a strong reminder of the
importance of adhering to the law and
maintaining public order resisting
obstructing official duties and
violating legal regulations not only
result in serious legal consequences for
the individual but also create
unnecessary tension in society every
individual has the responsibility to
uphold transparency and fairness within
the justice system while respecting the
authority of law enforcement
agencies I can explain nor been in
trouble with the law of my baby's
birthdays tomorrow and she saw it she
like slapped me on the arm and was like
yeah I'm sorry on June 22nd 2022 police
were called to a local hospital after
receiving a report of domestic violence
according to the report a security guard
witnessed a wife hitting her
husband got it hello how are you good
how you doing so we're kind of in a
pickle here okay technically I can't
show you the video without a court order
shut
up okay
okay see it CU I know
you so let's let's not do that I
appreciate you being upfront about the
whole cord order thing let's not get
anybody in trouble as far as showing me
the video is I'll go in there and I will
speak to them uh you said that you
witnessed her hitting him correct she
hit him a minimum of five okay open hand
Clos hand what are we talking open hand
first time she walked by it was a
straight open hand to the side of the
face the next time she walked up and it
was four or five both hands so here
here's what we'll do um since we have
witness testimony you that that will be
enough to at least have if we need to go
the route of obtaining that then we will
fill out the we'll fill out the search
warrant cool cool all right so how has
her demeanor and behavior been other
than hitting him and did he react and
hit her in so whenever she came in just
with the baby and then he showed up
maybe 30 minutes after they um so after
they got into the roomin 30 40 minutes
he came in initially getting her swabs
and stuff done mom was very appropriate
calm smiling in conversation with me
very helpful with swapping the baby mhm
and then the only interaction after the
temperature and things seemed
veryt that was after we knew all of or
saw the police quickly met with the
guard and a nurse to gather their
statements the security officer provided
detailed information about the wife's
clear assault on her husband and the
nurse also confirmed that she had
witnessed the incident through the
hospital's camera system the police then
approached the wife to hear her side of
the store good how are you good are you
Taylor yes oh you such a cute baby so we
got a call cuz people were concerned um
the camera feed from the room shows you
hitting your husband four or five times
in the head is that
husband course okay so husband
ex-husband is shows you hitting him in
the head five times um with an open hand
what what's going on in there um um
we're going for um he's talking about
the girls um a lot
um what what caused you to take a
tonight I just saw girls okay you just
saw something on his phone you got upset
about it how's how's your child doing I
know they said that she's just here for
some coughing stuff yeah she's good is
she okay okay all right that's really
important um so I'll have to I'm I'm
going to speak to him really quick and
just talk to him if you'll just stand
here and talk to this officer really
quick while I do that thank you the wife
identified as Taylor ad aded that they
were in the process of finalizing their
divorce and she hit her husband after
discovering something on his phone that
made her angry the officer then spoke
with the husband man we got a phone call
that pretty concerning about her her
hitting on you in here she she saw some
some other girl on your phone she got
upset about it all right man um so is
this the first time that that she's
she's done something like that is this a
recurring
thing I got you that's what she told me
let me let me get some of your
information from quick you have a really
pretty baby way hope she's feeling a
little bit better go home is your name
with a C or
okay I got you here's what's going to
have to happen right so in state of
Georgia Family Violence laws are very
clear right she put hands on you in an
aggressive Manner and she didn't find
your child in a public setting to where
other people have it videoed so even if
you don't want to press charges she is
going to she is going to be placed under
arrest for simple battery simple battery
family B I know this seems like a very
minuscule thing for her to be arrested
for it's a really big deal she did it
here in the hospital she did it in front
of your child you know like how children
I got you and that's why I was
explaining the it's so here's here's why
the state of Georgia went ahead and put
this into effect several several years
ago that if we have a family violence
relationship the husband verified the
suspect's statement and expressed a
desire not to press charges but the
police explained to him about the laws
concerning domestic violence in the
state of Georgia and that the case would
still be handled according to the law
three three Family Violence
relationships right there off the that
and she's going to go with me uh tonight
um and then first thing in the morning
she's going to either sit in front of a
judge or teleconference a judge they're
going to talk about the fact that you'll
have a kid together they're going to
talk about not putting hands on each
other might sound Elementary but these
are things that that they are going to
sit down and talk to to her about what
they're going to do is they're going to
call you on the phone they're going to
say hey we're meeting with her you need
to make sure that you were able to
answer your phone between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 12 so the judge is going
to call you she can't be released until
he makes contact here or she makes
contact with you that's why I'm putting
the emphasis on make sure you got your
phone she got a ba so so so she's so she
will sit in there until she sees the
judge and then she'll be released okay I
so per the video they they were telling
me that it seemed like open hand from
the video and so I just wanted to run it
past to you like okay um was she saying
anything while she was hitting you or
she was just reacting to something she
saw and and she overreacted especially
when it's it's in a public area where
people could see it right especially in
front of your child I mean yeah she's
going have to go to handcuffs man I mean
that's she's under arrest so she's going
have to go to handcuffs here's what uh I
would like to do um it's obviously your
your dad right the police detailed to
the man what his wife would be facing
before returning to speak with the woman
okay M Taylor yes okay so speaking with
Cody the he was just going further into
what happened in the room so we're going
to try and do this as calm as possible
we're going to try we're not going to do
anything in front of your son um we're
not going to do anything in front of
your daughter but what I would like for
you to do is if you could grab your
purse you're going to have to come with
us okay okay go get whatever you need if
you need to leave him your car keys so
he can get a car seat your son's ready
to
go
my tell her to make now
so we'll just go ahead and head outside
um I'm not going to you're being
cooperative I'm not going to put your
handcuffs in here but I'll explain more
as to why this has to happen when we get
outside okay okay that's what he was
telling me um it's been a arrest here
during the arrest process the police
carefully handled the situation to avoid
further distress to the child the wife
was escorted to the police car without
being handcuffed in front of her child
the officers also continually reassured
the wife despite the fact that the
situation was quite uncomfortable my car
is over this way okay um I'm going to
just go into more explanation for you
right now so obviously your husband
ex-husband did not want to press any
type of charges against you okay but in
the state of Georgia it's it's not up to
the victim anymore we have probable
caused that a crime committed and we
will make an arrest on behalf of the
state this isn't going to ruin your life
it's not going to get end the world
first thing in the morning you're going
to see a judge either in person or over
teleconference okay he's going to he's
going to talk to you about some stuff he
or she's going to talk to you that judge
is also going to call him they're going
to have a conversation over the phone
and then they're going to just go over
some stipulations with you and try to
make sure this doesn't happen anymore
okay if you'll just set your purse right
here for me I'm just going to put it in
the front of my car okay do you have any
pockets on you I'm just going to quickly
pat you down really quick and uh if
you'll just go and put your hands behind
your back Palms together I'm going to
make sure it doesn't hurt so we'll turn
you this way
sorry okay is there anything in your
purse that your child is going to need
or did you get everything out yes all
right so when what I want you to do is
is sit your butt down first when you get
in and push your just use the door to
push yourself back don't try to put your
feet in there and leave your feet up on
the seat yeah yeah I'm sorry so you can
put your feet up on the seat don't try
to put your feet down there cuz it'll
cut the top of your feet it's okay
nervous it's okay like I said this isn't
the end of the world it's not going to
mess up anything with your children
at this point the woman began to cry
although the officer kept reassuring her
it was clear that the officer
demonstrated patience and understanding
in this difficult situation this
Behavior showed the professionalism and
compassion of the police as they not
only followed legal procedures but also
showed concern for the emotional state
of those
involved the woman was later charged
with a misdemeanor for domestic violence
and a third degree child cruelty charge
according to the Georgia criminal code
165 23 a misdemeanor for domestic
violence is defined as the intentional
physical contact that is unwanted or of
a provoking nature causing offense to
another person when such conduct occurs
between family members or those in close
relationships it is addressed under the
Family Violence act 1 19131
in addition child cruelty is defined
under
16570 D which states that a person can
be charged and B allow a child to
witness domestic violence the penalties
may include imprisonment fines and other
sanctions depending on the severity of
the case this law is strictly enforced
to prevent and address acts of domestic
violence while ensuring the rights and
safety of vulnerable
individuals this story is a powerful
reminder that violence does not solve
problems but instead causes harm to
loved ones instead we must learn to
handle conflicts calmly and respectfully
remember controlling our emotions and
seeking help when needed not only
protects ourselves but also those around
us so if you are someone you know is
experiencing family tension don't
hesitate to seek support from social
organizations or mental health
professionals to prevent violence from
escalating
