we're here at night this is the first
time we're doing nighttime driving and I
want to say a good 10
years we're doing scenarios we're doing
felony stops and we're doing overall
obstacle course we're learning all about
Pursuit driving when to engage in a
Pursuit and when to call it off purpose
of scenarios are to understand when we
do traffic stops and we we're driving
how serious it is if someone does
pursue uh the cadet has to be uh smart
enough to take it upon themselves to
either call it off or advise dispatch
and we have a dispatch here tonight and
the dispatch will be is acting as a
supervisor to either call it off or not
but we're learning several different
things how to position the vehicles uh
speed weather condition uh multitasking
while we're driving the cadet has to
drive call out their speed location
direction of travel and description of
suspects how many occupants and so on so
we're doing a lot calling on the radio
and understanding all the Dynamics how
the vehicle works and what it takes to
even make a simple traffic stop to uh
full-blown felony
