on March 10 2023 dispatch advised police
were in a high-speed pursuit of a
vehicle after it fled a traffic stop in
Fond du Lac Wisconsin
the driver of the vehicle 36 year old
Courtney Dixon was believed to be
involved in a disorderly conduct
incident and was severely intoxicated
a deputy with the Fond du Lac County
Sheriff's Office responded to the area
of the pursuit and deployed stop sticks
on his vehicle

week
Courtney's vehicle began to slow and
additional deputies were able to catch
up

his vehicle came to a stop briefly and a
high risk stop was initiated when
deputies exited their cars Courtney
rapidly accelerated began to flee again
sure coming to a stop here

wasn't 186 and six three if you guys

eventually they performed a boxing
maneuver on Courtney's vehicle and
brought it to a stop

he then locked the doors of the vehicle
and refused to comply with commands

oh there's a big snow bank behind me and
I didn't know I don't know
both lanes of traffic were completely
closed during the duration of the
incident which resulted in heavy traffic
backed up for several miles on a Friday
afternoon
as drivers were watching what was taking
place a four vehicle crash occurred
which resulted in several minor injuries
and a significant traffic backup
now we're gonna have a pile up

we could probably open up this fast lane
though huh
um well the one lane we were yeah trying
to open but I think this guy crashed
into the semi and we're sponsored didn't
he can we get somebody to run over there
yeah that's all we wanted was just yep
because they'll handle him it's really
these two are the only two that gotta
stay so

that was a pretty good crash

due to the crash it took approximately
an hour before both lanes were
completely reopened

four cars involved it's worse than I
thought it was at first so we have a
wreck on the other side oh yeah that's
why traffic's all backed up it was like
a three or four car crash and uh one's
in the median okay like it rolled maybe
so okay

Courtney was charged with felony vehicle
fleeing eluding an officer misdemeanor
counts of resisting obstructing an
officer in disorderly conduct his cash
