counterfeit um license plates because they've been printing off he said he bought it from somebody this tag expired in 2021 not that funny date on this so and I gotta get he said the car's not ready so I gotta get the van and find out what's going on with that someone they slid a piece of paper under this so you can't really you can't read um I'm gonna run this first if he's got somebody to pick it up all right yeah they're just like this photocopy one blink out the letters and type in their own that's a good sign just grab them driving oh hold on I'm gonna drive more lights oh and then when I pulled up I'm like oh you haven't had a c in the temporary tag in like six months like all of them are all these right now so I know one spot all right um I'll answer you some questions I got to read you right first okay the other at your main silent anything you say can will be used against you and caught a while you're going to talk to the lawyer and have him or her present with you where are you being questioned he cannot afford to hire a lawyer what I'm appointed to represent you you can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements do you understand these rates into you have them in mind you want to talk to me now can I ask you some questions so um you said you bought the car in December so I'm right up in there okay okay and then um why haven't you registered yet is it just money time money okay so where'd you get the tag from I have order from somebody okay so they're just printing them off uh they just print them all for you okay how'd you get in contact with them just on where I'd be at oh okay someone just told you about it or no you were walking around actually nobody needed a tan okay gotcha um how much are you pay him for it afford it August just to be about the going rate for them those tags okay um so obviously you knew it wasn't assigned here your car um all right do you remember the name of the person you bought the car from about name um I have the number so it was just somebody you said in a yard somewhere yeah and he got wild work yeah in the area I work at all right um how long did did he have the tags with him when he was offering this when you bought it or did you bring it to a few days later no I I went to him oh you went to him yeah okay he took his tag off give us a few minutes [Music] all right so looks like you're arrested back in March for the exact same thing or the exact same tag number exact tag number yeah so yeah well they took the tag last time right so now you're driving around again with that same tag number okay so are you just photocopying these foreign [Laughter] obviously he's giving me the same tag number so he's just printing the same tag that's part of what he's doing but I don't know what he's doing what's this so how do you get in contact with him he's walking around both times yeah you said you did you pick up where I'll be out on the south side of Saint Pete he'd walk around all day and see if anybody need um a tag okay I don't know his name so why are you going buying tags from him when you know that they're counterfeit he's trying to get to work you know for the amount of money you're paying him for fake tags you can register your car by now I'm tired of doing that now I'm trying to get my own license now in the process [Music]
