All right, so this is the Open alcohol sale three. What up? Do you have your ID on you? Yeah, how old are you? How old are you? 23, let me see the picture. Where are you guys from? UT? Where are you from? You guys know you can't have alcohol? You know you can't have alcohol? Yeah, you had it when we rolled up. Yeah, I saw it. See it. It was standing right here, now it's over there. All right, do me a favor, grab that Twisted Tea, come over here. So we don't have to listen to this music. All right. So when I run that ID that you gave me, it comes back to a male. A male? Yeah. What are you trying to say? What are you trying to say? Um I'm not sure. Okay. So 587, female detained at this point. Okay, so 1341 hours, do you need any additional? Are we telling the truth, yes or no? About Your name, your age. >> is Deion. Okay, you're So this So the ID you presented me is fake, correct? Yes. Okay, that's why you're in handcuffs right now. Okay. Okay, how old are you? I'm 20. 20? So you turned something real stupid into going to jail. Okay. Okay? Yes, sir. Okay. Have a seat right here. What about my phone? That's coming with you. What stuff is yours over there cuz you're obviously in a bikini, so I have jean shorts and Those jean shorts right there? Okay, do you have a bag? Yes. When you guys present us with fake IDs, it's a felony in the state of Florida. So she gets to go to the Pinellas County jail now. We're not playing around. Okay, alcohol is illegal, you're all under 21, that's illegal, too, and then you want to present us with fake IDs, which is a felony. This isn't the place to play these games. Someone, one of the girls, come here. Pinellas County jail. Charge her. It's real nice videotaping your friend get arrested. You turned something real simple and into a felony. MADE A STUPID DECISION. YEP. HONESTY GOES A LONG WAY with people, it's not that serious. What makes it serious now is that you presented a false driver's license. Okay. If I knew or knew or I This is how this would have went. If you were honest with me, said, "Hey, yeah, I'm 20." Like just you know, whatever, have your fun. I would have wrote you a simple civil parking, like a parking ticket, not even criminal. And we would have been on our way. That's how this would have went. And then I asked you multiple times, even asked you if you would lie about it, if you wanted to stick with your story. Maybe if you would have been honest and you would have fessed up, you would have fessed up then. Maybe you would not be in this position. All right, handcuffs. All right, let's go. That does it. Nope, she's under arrest. How much do you weigh, approximately? Like 120. Okay. Once I finish this, I'll let you call your parents if you want. Uh brown hair? Yeah. 2509 Uh one tattoo on your right arm? Please let this be a lesson next time, just be honest. This would have went This would have went a whole different way. But when we ask you over and over again, there's only so much we can do, right? I'm not going to charge you with the felony, I'm just going to charge you with misdemeanors. Cuz a felony would really ruin your life. This shouldn't. You've never been arrested before, right? No, sir. Okay. These are things you should be thinking about Like a when making decisions. It's a holiday, you're underage drinking on Clearwater Beach. All you're not a good idea. Definitely not a good idea when the police make contact with you and lie and give them a fake ID, driver's license. That's That's just, you know There's only so I I As like I said this would have went a lot different. You presented me with a fake Pennsylvania driver's license. It's a BFO town. And then she wanted to stick to the story when we questioned her about it. Wherever you have that fake ID, I would suggest you get rid of it because when I run that, it comes back to a to a legit person. So that if you ever use that, pass that, whatever like if you would get in a lot of trouble cuz that's somebody's legitimate ID. Yeah, it's already gone. Okay, delete that phone, delete that picture off your phone, do not ever use that. Hello, ma'am, this is Officer Capone. Hi. Hi. So she had a Twisted Tea in her hand, which obviously we deal with all the time out here, and we pulled up, she kind of tried to hide it behind her. Speaker. And I got her. Uh made contact with her. Uh this would have went a very different way if she was honest. She presented a fictitious Pennsylvania driver's license to me. Um and stated that that was her true identity. I didn't question her about stuff at the end. Uh when I ran it through our system, it came back to a a a legitimate person. Um gave her another opportunity to come clean about it, she stood by that was her. There's only so many chances we can give. Uh and then the truth came out obviously once we uh placed her handcuffs. So I'm not charging her. It is a felony to provide a fictitious driver's license to police. Uh I'm not charging her with that. I don't see the need to ruin her life with a felony, but she's getting charged with two misdemeanors. One being uh possessing alcohol by someone under 21. And uh the other providing fake information to law enforcement. As I told her, and I'll tell you, this would have went a very different way if she just said, "Yeah, I'm 20." You know, we Like I said, this is not the crime of the century. We It's obviously a holiday, we got a job to do, but we can't help you in what to do. So if she was honest she would have just got a simple ticket, and we would have been on our way. Um so hopefully this is a a lesson to be learned here. You know, as the one thing police told her is to always be honest with the police officer. Right. Exactly. Um so I know, I mean I I thought obviously, you know, she deserves this, deserves this. Um is there any like like a remedy The legal remedies are Yeah, the legal remedies I'm not charging with the felony. Um so like there I can't I can't sit here and be running people and I'm Cuz now I'm potentially could be impacting this other gentleman's life that I'm running through now. Uh a database, you know, because she's got an ID that doesn't belong to her, belongs to somebody else, so like I said, the state takes fake IDs very seriously. I'm just not choosing to really charge her with it cuz I don't want to ruin her life because she seems like a good kid and she's trying to do the right things. Uh because if I charge her with a felony, it's the last thing I'd notify them and a whole disaster. Yeah. So that is what happens next, all right? So we don't want You want to avoid that. Uh Like I gave her multiple opportunities to come clean, my partner did. Uh so you know, there's only so much we can do. We don't got time to sit here and go back and forth and and yeah, you know what I'm saying? We got a job we got to do, we're out here. So that's kind of where we're at. So she's going to We're going to have a van come. She's got her personal belongings, she has her phone obviously. She'll get booked down to the Pinellas County jail, she'll get booked in there. Um she'll probably get a small bond. Uh unless if she wants to wait to see a judge tomorrow, she'll get probably released on her own recognizance. She'll get a bond within a couple hours. As long as her blood alcohol content is below 0.06, which I would believe it is cuz she does not seem too intoxicated. Um but obviously anything dealing with alcohol has got to Texas will be people that I got to make sure they're not drunk. Um so but I don't think that should be an issue, but once that all checks out, she'll be able to get bonded out or released. Um and then go from there. Um I'm trying to say where are you guys on the other side of the state, all right? It's crazy, yeah. Okay, so her friends know, they're aware. She can call them, call them once she's down there, so I'm sure one of them She'll probably come and get her out. The bond is probably going to be small. Um under a thousand, it should be. Okay. All right, I'll see you in jail. All right, here she is. Hi, Mom. I'm going to tell you you really [ __ ] up. Yeah, you Yeah. Do you I think you would have gotten out. I don't know if I'll You really ruined that choice that you had. I don't know if I'll be able to get you out. You're going to have to figure it out. If you wait to see the judge, they'll probably just release you, they're not going to keep you in. They'll likely no bond, you'll get released on your own recognizance. No, no, if she waits, so how it works typically is once you get booked in, unless you you know, commit some crazy crime, everybody gets a bond. Right? So once you get booked in, you go through your little process, if able to post a bond you can get out on a global basis or a local below a point zero six you can get released right away. You everybody sees a judge the next morning and they stay in jail and then the judge can set their own bond rules. Most likely in a situation like this they'll just release her without any bond. Okay, so you know, but if she wants to get out like in a couple hours she's got to post some sort of bond. Okay, let's say the bond is seven hundred fifty dollars just say. If you can't post that but you want to get out you go to a bail bondsman you usually give them ten percent. Okay, you get you pay you know seventy five bucks and then you're on a bail you're released on bond.
