um he went that way um he was wearing like an olive color I didn't actually see it I just saw him outside and he has like a mole or a bird or something up there is it uh white hispanic um I would say he's white but he's very Tamed white but possibly very tiny here let's walk over here and he's wearing like an olive colored get white features but he was very timed and I think he was wearing an loves me today I'm sorry do you want me to call your sister for you I don't want to worry her but like if you could tell her I need that Western Union I guess I can't get it here though so uh no worries I'll just go somewhere else um so how long have you been in Sarasota for maybe five days just a couple days okay where are you from originally California I've been bouncing around Florida trying to join up with these carnivals but they told me to get an ID so I got an ID today so I could get back to work oh good okay no honestly I was just hungry though chicken and stuff from the chocolate River but if he doesn't want me back I don't have a problem with that okay um would you be interested in talking to someone with our department we have a homeless Outreach team that can work on trying to find some type of permanent housing or job and career type stuff if you're interested I mean if you have your own plan then that's totally fine but we've got some resources if you want me to try and connect you with them I'm just going to go to the Salvation Army for the night okay all right all right sounds good they do um I don't know if you've stayed there yet since you've been down here but they have they do I think three free days a month okay you can stay there yeah and our homeless Outreach team officers and case managers work there I think almost every weekday morning so if it's Wednesday they should be there um tomorrow morning if you want to stay and hang out for a little while and talk to one of them they might be able to get you set up with uh either you know temporary housing or if you want to talk about job or career options outside of what you're thinking already yeah it was a real struggle for me to get my ID together and I just kind of ran out of energy my feet was hurting yeah and I was hungry and okay nobody was really helping me out or even like me yeah I just got hungry and yeah that's all right that's all right usually um and like going into like you know either picking stuff on the side of the road or trash bins and that sort of stuff is totally fine except for when it's um boarded off by any type of Gates or fences just so you know in the future that just to keep an eye on that if you have to go through like a fence or a gate to get to it probably not a good idea to stop by over there the only reason we're here is because we're looking for someone else that that called for us and the manager happened to see over here and flagged us down yeah so just give us one second um are you were you a resident of Sarasota before or or Florida in general yes would you come out of state I came out I've been in Tampa for about 15 okay we're out of stadium before Tampa California oh okay all right so our we're just having a little trouble finding you in the system yeah so you just got issues your new ID today right yeah oh he might have gotten one originally in 2016. so were you or Florida did you live here in 2016 . yeah from quick which are gonna sound really silly but I asked them to everybody I talked to um are you having any thoughts about harming yourself harming anyone else or anything like that no violence nothing like that okay um do you think are you in need of any Mental Health treatment or anything like that right now that you can think of because I'd like to get you set up with some resources if like I said if you want to talk to take me to a psych Hospital um so if you want to go to the ER I can bring you there but unless someone is immediately like yeah yeah I don't have access to anything like that but I do have mental health and illness and I'm supposed to be on a lot more medication that I'm actually on right now yeah okay but you're feeling okay yeah I'm feeling right right now okay um and you said you don't have a working cell phone right now right no I don't no okay um do you know anybody else that lives in Sarasota that you might be able to stay with or no I don't know anything like that no okay just is your only family member is your sister that's in California yeah why the rest of my family they're all in California okay how'd you get here uh join up with the carnival oh yeah he's trying to join it they're um I'm sure if this is why you came here but the carnivals or the uh the fair is starting and we are starting within oh it is this Friday yeah the fair starts this Friday do you know where robarts arena is no but I'll just join them and I said exactly it's an option it's an option yeah there's ways uh it's uh Wednesday today but so Friday just a couple days two days so you can stay at the Salvation Army until then do you know how to get to the Salvation Army to the right yep or you can cut right through here yeah it's at um the intersection of Central and miles 20 minute walk okay 30 minute walk sometimes yeah so I don't know if they're gonna be there to not set up yet maybe Friday morning so it's Wednesday today maybe first thing Friday morning if you want to walk over there and see if you can talk to someone in charge and offer and see if they need if they need more hands if they need more help they can at least take your information down okay and see if that if that works for them does that sound like a good plan yeah well I'll go that way on Friday yeah I think State like you said staying at the Salvation Army might be your best bet for for now for not for now at least you get the same job at the circus yeah hopefully they've uh established something to get set up with them um is it when's the last time you've eaten I know you said you next week or so okay all right um I believe um Public School let them let them use your phone the salvation Salvation Army if you stay in there they should let them use it yeah um so but we'll make sure we write down some addresses for him so that way he can get to the Western Union um foreign yeah well you can also get and send and receive money orders and some types of like wire transfers I think a lot of people I would have to make an account Maybe I don't know if he has to have an account or anything with them because it's just like a transfer album you know I know he seems so sorry I know did she say anything about if he's on the Spectrum or what because it seems a little bit like he's either on the Spectrum or Asperger's yeah this is what it seems like to me yeah I'm on iPhone another medication for schizophrenia and it's worn off and I'll really need that before I get back to work because uh that Sean lasts for half a year something like that what other medications are you supposed to be taking do you remember we'll be taking Zoloft Zola and then the shot that you said you're supposed to get every six months or so yeah do you remember when you had the last one oh about six months ago somewhere around six months ago have you seen any doctors in Florida um honestly I've I've tried getting help with this but I guess it was over the weekend they let me go Monday morning I said uh they weren't really doing discharges over the weekend so yeah I've actually been trying again who let you go on Monday um I was in Fort Myers trying to join right offer and then give me a ride from Fort Myers to uh okay what facility were you at in Fort Myers do you remember I think it was called true Point sure Point sure Point surf Point okay I think was the name of the hospital how did you get there um I went from Tampa to Fort Myers trying to join up with the one of the carnivals okay you traveled by yourself no someone helped me from Tampa to Fort Myers they wanted a job too but when we got there the guy had the the worst seizure I ever seen oh no he was uh he was battling alcohol he told me oh and the if you when you're detoxing from that sometimes you can get seizures that stinks do you want them do you want your do you want Ashley to know that you're gonna go see someone um I'll call her we'll call her from the hospital because she's such as kind of snow dude she snowed in don't want her to worry about you tomorrow when you don't uh go to Western Union I'll call her okay you can call her if you want please yes okay Ashley all right we'll call her and just give her a heads up so if she doesn't hear from you for you know for a day or whenever they allow you to make phone call and all that [ __ ] she won't be worried those good with that Chick-fil-A sauce I
