Do you know why I think you ain't been out looking for Evelyn? >> Why? >> It's two things. They're kind of one in the same. You know where she is, okay? >> I don't know exactly where she is. >> Or you know she's dead. >> No. >> Now's the time to talk. Is Evelyn dead? >> Not that I know of unless Mom has done something. I would never hurt her. She's my daughter. >> I'm sorry. I love you always. >> Evelyn Mae Boswell was 15 months old. She was last photographed on the 22nd of December. Nobody reported her missing until the 18th of February. >> That you were missing every single day, I wrote you 10 letters, I was out and beating the bushes trying to find you. I want to be honest with you. >> [music] >> Let's go back talk about the plan. I don't think you were in there for this. I told you we had a plan, right? I've said that 3 days ago. I said we put it on there if we needed to. You've done this before, right? >> That's done and over with. >> Do you understand it? >> Yeah. >> I'm going to read it to you. >> Okay. >> Before we ask you questions, you must understand your rights. You have the right to make a phone call to a lawyer. If you want to ask me questions, you have the right to ask me questions. You have the right to stop answering questions at any time. If you want to stop answering questions, you have the right to stop answering questions. If you cannot afford a lawyer, you will be provided with one at no cost. Do you have any questions now about that or about your rights? If you still have the right to stop answering questions at any time to talk to a lawyer. >> Yeah. >> So >> Is that a bad thing? >> No, it's great. It's a great thing. So we've got all this stuff about Evelyn >> Yeah. >> leading up to December the 20th. >> Yeah. >> And then it becomes >> That would have been about like either 4 to 6 days after Mom took her. >> The alert lists her as 2 ft tall, 28 lb, blonde hair, blue eyes. It went out on the 19th of February. 55 days after the date her mother gave for when she was last seen. It was not her mother who reported her missing. It was her grandfather. >> Sorry, I don't want to touch that. >> It's okay. Is this >> She knows every date. The detectives will come back to that. >> New born? >> Yeah. >> Her hospital bracelet? >> Okay, yeah. >> So, right here. >> That goes with that. >> They go together. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Hospital clothes goes with the baby before she was born. What was that? Coming home outfit. That was right after she was born. And after that, Evelyn's one year birthday shirt. It was with the hat. What was that from? Evelyn's bathtub sling. That would have been from the first to the day that she came home and she was 5 5 >> The man answering these questions is a Sullivan County lieutenant giving evidence at her trial 4 years later. We keep returning to him because the trial is where her account is finally measured. >> That she wore that She wore that couldn't really fit in it. She probably wore that when she was 6 months old and that's when she started fitting in They were a little too big for her. >> She started wearing them when >> For 6 months old. Sort of 6 months old. Yeah. >> Okay. So, what's this then? Sullivan County, Tennessee. The family property sits off a rural road outside Blountville. 58 days between the last photograph in the report, 75 between the last photograph and the body. Evelyn was found on the 6th of March on property owned by her grandfather. She was in a trash can inside a playhouse. The jury would later be shown drone footage of that playhouse. She has done this before. It is stated on the tape. >> Take a look at that and see if you can identify it. >> Yes, I can. >> And what is it? >> It's another pillow. >> All right. Was that pillow also collected from the Boswell property in the shed? >> Yes, it was. >> And again, did you secure that in an evidence bag so that it could be sent to the CBI a >> Yes, we did. >> All right. >> Judge, I'd move to make that exhibit number 224 at this time. >> Any objection? >> No, sir. >> Thank you, Lieutenant Price. If you would, answer any questions that Mr. Scott has for you. >> We'll keep brief. >> I want to ask you first about the interviews you took with Megan. What date did those begin? >> I think it was the 20th of February. >> And on the 20th of February, how many times did you talk to her? >> Twice. >> How far apart were those interviews? >> There was probably from the time we left the room and came back, there was 15 to 20 minutes. >> Okay. Would it be fair to say the second interview is a continuation of the first interview? >> It was another interview. Uh >> Are you sure it was only two times you talked to her, or was it three that day? >> Without looking at my notes, I would I think it's just twice that day. And the the last interview we just did was the following day. >> I noticed in one of those interviews you all Mirandized her. >> I think we had Mirandized her every time we talked to her. >> You think that, or you know that? >> I have I have it all written out on a on my notes, yes. >> Okay, do you have a >> She was Mirandized. I don't have it up here, but yes, she was Mirandized every time that Agent Grayson and I spoke with her, yes. >> Okay. Was it on the video? That's why I'm asking. >> Okay. It was probably before she came in there. >> Before she came in there? >> Could have been in the lobby, could have been in in another office. >> And Evelyn was not with her. >> Did uh your trip there at Pigeon Forge, did Megan have Evelyn with her at the time? >> No, she >> Did you Did that seem unusual to you? >> Yes, I asked her. >> Okay. You asked her what? >> Where Evelyn was at. >> Okay. Did she tell you? >> Uh said that uh Ethan had her. >> Okay. Did you know who Ethan was? >> Yeah, yeah, I met Ethan. He's He's a nice young man. I thought a lot of him. >> Okay. And who did you think Ethan was at that time? Or who did she say Ethan was? >> W- Well, they used to date. >> Okay. >> But she said Ethan was the father. >> Okay. >> And he wanted to see Evelyn. He'd been in the army. So I said, "I'm going to stand back. He's going to man up and want to see his child." I'm going to let him see her for a while, you know. Then after a while, I said, "Enough's enough. It's my turn." >> Okay. So, at that time, when you went on this trip, she told you Evelyn's with Ethan. >> Yes. >> It was actually Tommy Boswell's call to authorities that launched the missing person search for Evelyn. >> Did you see Megan after Christmas? >> Uh Here is our very, very little. >> I'm sorry. >> Just here is our not that much. >> Here there. >> Um you got to bring me my phone number. >> So, this is in November. >> She corrects him. She is right. >> When? >> November. I got my mother downstairs. >> So. I'll let you go ahead. All right. Read with me. You've done this before, right? >> Yes. I already signed it. >> Do you understand him? >> Yes. >> I'm going to read it to you. >> Okay. >> We're asking questions. You must understand your rights. You have the right to make a sound. Do you understand these questions? If you do ask questions, you have to answer them. You have to discuss them with your lawyer. And you have to call your lawyer before you answer any questions. If you don't have a lawyer, one will be provided to you without cost. Do you have any extra questions now about that or are you present? You still have the right to stop answering questions at any time to talk to a lawyer. All right. Do you understand all that? >> Yes. >> All right. Is this the same trip? >> Yes. >> What day is >> This is the most precise she is on the entire tape. It is about a birthday cake. >> The picture, I think, if it was in warm in November, I think it would have been sometime in November. 25th or all from the same. >> Tell me again. November? >> I don't know when in November, but I'm pretty sure it was. The only reason I know that is cuz I went to Applebee's after this year cuz they gave me money for to school. I went to Applebee's after I got that money for October. No, I think about it. Cuz I had money to go to daycare. So, those are just the same pictures from earlier. >> Way earlier. >> That is from December 6th, 2018. >> Her account requires her mother to have taken Evelyn. Every question from here tests that one sentence. >> Yeah. But, Evelyn was with my mom. They have like a family thing for like the children involved there. >> Mhm. >> That's the one that was scratched. >> When you have a picture of her turning around, I just want to show you like that. >> This picture was taken on the day that she My cousin Some days I remember really specific. That one comes after that one. That was more recent if you're going from >> Sorry. Okay. >> Yeah. >> When was this one? >> But, I don't have the pictures. It was from >> The photographs run to the 22nd of December. After that, there's nothing to date. >> But, December 6th. No, that that was where I was driving my niece. I'm sorry. We did nothing. Yeah, Evelyn was not with my cousin. But, I don't have the pictures of my baby him Evelyn. >> What about this one? When was her first birthday coming? >> That's not first birthday. That's Christmas. That would have been after that. >> Right there. >> First birthday would have been somewhere between these two. Like right Yeah. >> December 20 >> Um 1/11/2020. I see the date on it. >> Can you see that? >> Yeah. >> Where? >> I'm trying not to touch it. That was when he picked up her The guy who lives in the basement. >> In the basement. >> What's that? >> That's one. We're just making fun of her over there. >> The trip to El Paso would probably >> That letter is to a man. They are about to ask about a different set of letters. >> I guess it was her birthday. I don't remember exactly, to be honest with you. I'm sorry. >> Right there. Right there. I can see it right there. I last saw her like a couple weeks ago. So it would have been after that. >> What what >> The call would have been after the ultrasound. >> This is >> Ultrasound >> This Put it down here. >> I don't know what I wrote down. They're going to ask me. I don't know. We went to the emergency room because we had to take a check up. >> Before or after? >> After. I guess that was while I was pregnant. I was going to add something to it. >> You did or you didn't? >> He did. >> All right. So >> Those are just sounds for obviously prior to anything. >> Prior to anything. >> not accusing her of neglect. He is establishing the opposite, that she was a mother who took her daughter to the doctor and kept count. >> What did they say to you from that? I took her to the emergency room that day. >> I'm going to It's going to kind of go in weird order. >> Okay. >> We're going to start way back here. >> Okay. >> Ultrasound. What's this? >> That was the day I was having her. That was her heartbeat and my contractions. I was going to go in right after that. That was her heartbeat. >> I have an hour and a while right here. What's next? Good. >> Right. >> That was Christmas. So it would have been with the ornament. >> All right. We know what the book is. So I'm going to pull you Birthday. >> Nope. My foster mom made that for me for Christmas. >> Christmas when? >> There. It's just the first week of Avalon's life, basically. All of the pictures are none of them are after after she was a week old, if that makes sense. >> What time of day was this one? >> What? Let me know. I'm going to call her. >> Huh? >> Okay. Maybe that was like for Christmas cuz I wanted a picture book of Avalon. >> Okay. >> July >> The care is not in question. The 58 days are. >> 2018 I was pregnant. >> Before or after ultrasound? >> Before. It was the week of the July 4th weekend. >> So this puts us way over here. >> I took her the first not thousand. >> Was it everyone with you? >> Yes. >> Is this one of the church you took with >> No. >> Did you ever take a trip with Teegwin lights? >> No. >> Okay. So, now we're talking like >> Uh >> right in here. Or >> It would have been before that. >> Maybe it was with this. This is at Bristol, huh? >> I don't know exactly where the book's from, but the first time that I took her was the first night they opened. The first time me and her went to Teegwin lights was November 15th, 2019. Cuz that's the day that it was >> So, that's after the birthday. >> Yeah. >> Let's just Let's Let's put this under the pictures. >> Okay. I'm sorry. >> Makes sense, right? >> Yeah. >> Cuz we're out of room. Okay. We don't have a date on that. >> It's just a gift card. That was something that we did in the car, too, when I was sick. Probably in North Carolina, too, wherever this photo >> She has now given three accounts of where her daughter is. The detectives have stopped asking which one is true. Where was it? >> Look. Yeah. Look at the date on it. >> Maybe. One night in 20. So, >> It would have been after the fourth of Can I touch it? >> This one? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Sorry. >> It would have been before the car. >> Before the car. All this goes before the car. Then you bring your Teegwin lights. We're like right over here or somewhere. >> August 2018. >> We'll put the light right there. >> August 2018. >> We're not worried about that. Okay. We went through this, Matt. Okay? Let's see the pictures. Okay. [music] Remember? Is it things you like eating? >> Yeah. It's all from that. There's a baby shower the day before Teegwin. Look at this >> The box that held her daughter's photographs was being used to hold something else. >> I want to say >> You didn't have a first birthday party, really. >> No. >> But, I mean >> I mean, I got her a little cake and a little smash cake in my trailer. But, it was just me and her. I was not going to mind if you wanted to do it one day. You can do it that day. I didn't think her birthday I said, "We'll just do it later." it's my daughter's first birthday so we just need her anyway so I'm raging around you all time for the first birthday. >> You want to fill this out again? >> Right now. She don't have a birthday party so >> Well, you did the birthday smashing and all that. >> I'll fill that out later. >> Okay. What do we want to put here? >> In 53 minutes it does not move. >> Hopefully picture of her on her second birthday party. >> What do you want to do for the second birthday party? >> I actually have a really nice birthday party. I brought I brought balloons and stuff for her first one. Doctor Ortega's I sit there a lot. >> They're both here? >> Yeah. And walk with her? >> Every time you go there? >> A lot. >> Really? Are they doing some kind of dinosaur thing at either Meadowview or at the Speedway? >> I was going to take her to the >> To which one? Is it at Meadowview or is >> At Meadowview. >> Are they doing anything at the Speedway too? >> I don't know. >> When were you going to take her a walk? >> Today, tomorrow, and Sunday. >> When did it start? >> Today. >> Well, in the past she's going to be getting pretty big. >> Yeah. >> About the size of >> Yeah. >> What do you think you'll be able to name? >> I don't know. Never. But she likes >> Okay. All right. So you Okay. So >> Every account she gave in the interrogation room was tested here under oath by people who had known Evelyn. >> So we've got basically >> 4th of July >> Wait, wait, did you have like Oh, I Okay. >> Okay. You can see the keys really good. I was taking her on a walk. >> Where you work? >> I'm on >> Where she live at? >> On the bottom of the hill from my dad. >> Okay. I was from the >> Uh >> Okay. >> That was Meadowview. >> Yeah. >> I don't know if you know this but she's pictured with her >> Yeah. >> I know what I told you. >> cuz you know if you look you can see it in her eyes and I'm like I think we got it I rolled my eyes I was like to go. >> When was she six months old in this timeline? >> She is four months here so we can >> Okay. What was she telling you? >> First it was uh Ethan had her. No no first uh Oh we back up I'm sorry. Uh Hunter's mom's watching. And then she come off with uh Ethan had her. [clears throat] Then after it went on for a while I said uh I'm going to do something about this. Well she said told me that Ethan wouldn't give her back. I said hey hey you just go get an attorney. I said he can see his daughter but I said he's not taking her. >> Okay. What did she say when you told her that? >> I can't remember exact words. She said dad give me a day or two or something. She said I'll get her something and just lie after lie. >> Okay. Any point time did you ever see Evelyn? >> No. Last time I seen her was on Thanksgiving, sir. >> Okay. So um at some point do you make an ultimatum to to Megan about seeing your granddaughter? >> Yeah. I told her and I told her mom. >> Okay. What did you tell her? >> It was on a weekend. Oh excuse me. I said come Monday morning which I told told this to her mom. I said come high hell water I said I'm going to get on the phone and I said I'm going to find my granddaughter. I said I I don't care what I got to do. I said I want to know what's going on. I said enough's enough. And that's when I got on the phone and made phone calls. >> All right. >> That Monday morning. >> All right. And did you did you talk with Who did you talk with? >> Uh >> [sighs] >> I don't know. I can't remember all of their names. >> Okay. Was it somebody with at DCS? >> Yes, sir. >> Department of Children Services? >> Mhm. >> Okay. And what did you tell them? >> I just told them what I told you. I hadn't seen my granddaughter. I was worried about her. >> Did you tell them how long it had been since you'd seen your >> Yeah. Yeah. >> granddaughter? >> Jurors also heard from friends of Megan Boswell who saw her with Evelyn in December of 2019. Here's Caitlyn Carter. >> Do you recall [clears throat] going to Chili's with Megan Boswell at one point? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Do you remember when that was? >> The end of my college semester. >> Okay. >> And do you know when that would have been? >> Around the 1st of December. >> Okay. Who was there when you went to Chili's that day? >> Me, Megan, and Evelyn. >> Okay. Anyone else? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. Did you sit at a table or booth? >> Booth. >> Okay. And did you sit beside anyone? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. So, Megan and Evelyn were on one side of the table and you were on the other. >> Yes, ma'am. >> What was your impression of Evelyn that day? >> She was dirty. And I could smell her across the table. >> Okay. Was she Have you been around babies before? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Was she beyond what a normal dirty baby would be? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Good. Sustained. You You said you've been around other babies. Is that correct? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Did you have some inkling she was telling you the truth? >> Before sentencing, her lawyers put on evidence about her own childhood, drug use in the house, fights she witnessed, a father convicted of assault. >> pieces of the truth or parts of the truth or something like that, but as far as being 100% honest with this, no. I I did not think that >> No, but he he indicated that this you are the only two that believe that she might be telling you some of the truth. Was that a true statement? >> He did say that, yes. >> Was it true? >> I do think that she was telling us pieces of the truth, yes. Some some truth. >> This part of this investigation did you have any interaction with >> Very little. I I know he was in our office a few times. >> Did you talk to him? >> I don't think I took a formal statement from him. I can't remember. I I spoke to him. I don't remember taking a statement or anything from him, though. >> When you say you spoke to him, you mean like if I see you out in the hall and I say "Hey Matt, how are you?" or >> Correct. >> That That's what you're saying about speaking. >> Yes, I I've known before, and so I I did speak to him, yes, but I I don't think that All right. >> The court heard it. It did not change the verdict. >> We put this down to this one time. So, from the time we did our ultra sound pictures we've got 27 things that were in that box. >> Yeah. >> Was this and we can count that one or doesn't matter. But, 28 >> No. >> And let's see. Let's go to the last thing. Her birthday >> Yeah. >> That's That's kind of where this stops. >> Yeah. >> On her 21st, did you sell Did you have the birthday cake smash on >> 21st. Yeah. No, no, no, it was on the 22nd. Take that back. >> Why? I'm just curious. >> Cuz we were trying to have her birthday party on the 21st. My dad and my aunt, he ended up being at work late. >> So, so the fact >> Yeah. No, then they wanted to wait till this weekend. I was like, "No, it's my child's first birthday. I really didn't want to have you all here anyways, cuz I wanted to spend it with your family and your sister." >> That's understandable. Okay. So, we got like 28 something. If you count these, makes it like 30. >> The state asked for life without the possibility of parole. The jury did not go that far. >> This one. They're all from one trip. Some of these are from the same trip. I was meant to give those to my dad, but I never got around to it. That's what I'm thinking through. >> And this one was taken when? >> December 20th. >> It was after December 20th. You're so sure of that. >> Yeah. >> You're so good with all of these other dates. >> Yeah. >> So >> Is that a bad thing? >> No, it's great. It's a great thing. So we've got all this stuff about Evelyn >> Yeah. >> leading up to December the 20th. >> Yeah. >> And then it becomes >> That would have been about like either four to six days after mom took her. >> Okay. So then we got >> But that's in the baby box. >> How did that get in there? >> Okay. >> So we've got the trip written here >> Yeah. >> with Evelyn and the trip of We've got one two three four five six. And then >> I have this one that Evelyn's missing, but dad has them. >> Okay. All right. They're not in the baby box though, right? And then the the 20 first. >> No, that's the >> The what? >> 11th. >> Evelyn's missing. >> Mhm. >> And you're out getting shrimp Alfredo for who? Since Evelyn's missing on This one has the receipts. You're going to Blowing Rock. >> I could >> Stopping and taking pictures. >> These photos taken at >> Right. And then you wrote this big long letter. You wrote this big long letter. >> Mhm. >> Right? >> Like a couple weeks ago, I was there. >> Doesn't mention, >> [music] >> "Sorry, we can't find Evelyn." Right? You mentioned You wrote this letter to "I'm sorry. [music] Love you always." Cuz you all were fighting. >> Yeah. >> You're not fighting over looking for Evelyn, are you? >> No, I'm not. >> [music] >> Should you be? >> I mean, I'm not really that concerned about it. >> Exactly. Here's my point. You were all about Evelyn. You did all of this stuff. You saved the bracelet. You saved the cap. The coming home outfit. Everyone's back to swimming. You saved this picture. You saved these little footprints. You saved the first Christmas. Saved this book. You saved the trip to Ripley's picture. Can't read upside down. The bracelet from the ear infection. You saved that. This came from the baby box. Her first shoes. You saved all that. You've got this from the first birthday party. Evelyn's 1-year birthday >> Back in November. >> In November. You know that right off the bat. >> Yeah. >> Because you loved Evelyn, right? >> I do love Evelyn. >> You loved Evelyn. >> I I just want to clarify that the sound bite, she didn't wear that shirt for 3 days straight. I washed it every night. >> I understand you. >> Okay. >> You made a trip all the way to El Paso for her to see her dad. You drove. Right? Did you do that for yourself or for Evelyn? >> For Evelyn. >> All right. Look at all these pictures. You're taking over. You're so happy with her, right? You saved the Speedway invite. It stops December 20th. A minute ago, you started crying on December the 20th. What happened December the 20th? >> No, it was probably on the 21st. >> Okay. What happened >> the day she would have been a year and 1 month old and won't have her. I don't have her with me. >> On December On December 21st, you were upset cuz you didn't have Evelyn with you. What efforts did you take on that day to go find Evelyn? >> I went to my grandparents' house. She was not there. I tried to contact my mom, couldn't get a hold of her. I actually rode around for a little bit trying to find my mom or well, the place where they had been cuz this is when I still had my rental car. When the rental car got taken, when I go to court January 9th for that ticket, right? All right, the rental car got taken off the same day before court. So, I still had it on that rental car when I was trying to find my mom. >> Okay. So, you're saying it >> I had planned the trip to the aquarium, like pre-planned it and I was like, "Oh, well, we'll go." >> So, you did you did all that on the same day, you all drove from this area >> Yeah. >> all the way down to Gatlinburg. How long does that take? >> An hour, an hour and a half. Driving speed's really bad. I don't know if I can >> That's That's what you're saying that's a 1-hour trip? >> Yeah. >> I can't make it to Morristown here from Morristown in an hour. How are you getting to Gatlinburg in an hour? >> An hour, an hour and a half. >> An hour and a half, okay. Let's say you get there in an hour and a half. You have to drive back in an hour and a half. So, that's 3 hours to >> Yeah. >> How long did you stay at the aquarium? >> 30 minutes or less. >> 30 minutes or less, and got your picture taken. >> Yeah. >> There's 4 hours. And what part of the day did you spend looking for Evelyn? >> Earlier before we went. We didn't get up there till probably like 3:00 or 4:00. I only I don't think we got there I don't think we left till probably about 3:00. Up until that point, that's what I was doing. >> January 11th. >> I was trying to talk to Mom that day, and I was trying to get her to meet me in Kingsport. And actually I I didn't we gave up on it, and they called and wanted the food, so I promised them back on the way back. >> Okay. Didn't get a chance to buy anything for Evelyn that day, right? >> Mhm. >> Why not? >> Cuz she wasn't with me. >> Where was she? [music] >> With Mom. >> Did you see her January 11th? >> No. >> So, she was missing January the 11th. >> Yeah. >> Right? That would put her how many days What What did you tell the news that you [music] where you dropped where you dropped off Evelyn? >> I didn't. >> You didn't say to the news? >> No, I didn't tell them where. >> What did you tell the news? >> I haven't seen her. I've been up here working. I mean, they asked him what was going on and I'm like, "Well, we're trying to find the person and stuff like that." You know what I mean? That's about it. I didn't tell them anything specific. >> Okay. >> I told them I couldn't tell them any specific details about the case and stuff like that. I was not supposed to tell them something. >> I don't know if anyone has talked to the news. I've not talked to the news. Evelyn, I'm sorry. Love you always. So, again, we're back to your caring for this baby, doing everything that >> [music] >> a mom can do. You're get in a job to provide for her. cuz the daddy ain't. All right? And poof, Taylor vanishes. I mean, really? You think the last credible sighting we had was basically Thanksgiving. I I can't wrap my head around how you go from everything to this. >> This was after Thanksgiving. >> Look. Look. >> When did we last see her after Thanksgiving? >> Listen. That's not credible now because it only comes from your mouth. I have no way to verify that, okay? >> It's with a lot of family. >> Look. That stuff erases >> Have you talked to >> Listen. >> She went with me down to the Speedway line. >> When When's the first time you told me that? Just freaking now. But take that as important. Did we not tell you a thousand times you talked to Taylor and everything, you know? That's the point. >> Bailey Hawkins >> Let's go back to what I'm trying to wrap my head around. You do all this stuff for your baby. You go above and beyond. You're a a good mother as there ever was, but and it stops. Something happened. >> I have told you why it's off, so I'm not repeating that again. >> Okay. I would stay in here, right here, sit right here in silence or talk or play music or whatever for another 24 hours or 24 days if I thought we were going to be able to find her. But I don't I don't think this is going [music] to end good. You agree with me? You do? Is there anything else you're going to do to help us? >> I've told you everything. >> If we need you, are you going to Will you answer your phone? >> Yeah. >> Can we get up and down with you and get that phone number? >> I'm not going to stop you, but I'm not going to say no. >> We didn't what? >> I'm not going to stop you. I'm not I'm not going to say no. >> I'm not going to stop you. >> Yeah. >> You want to give it down with >> How would I know if you said we need to hold on to it Can we call Can we call Can we call you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You will call her up. >> Yeah. I don't know how hard to call you all cuz I don't have one cuz I'm a shelter. I'll get you one. >> Actually, you're going to program it into that phone. That was then. >> I spoke with the District Attorney's Office and referred to it. They were aware of of what was going on and that was pretty much the extent of it. >> But you made no independent investigation of the speaking with the District Attorney's Office. >> No, I did not. >> When did this investigation begin? >> It was in the evening. I think it was February the 18th. >> It did not The investigation in this case did not begin until February of 20 >> 19. >> 2020. >> 2020? >> Yes, I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> So prior to that there was no pending investigation. >> About About missing child? >> Yeah. >> No. >> There was no investigation whatsoever. >> No, as soon as the DCS referral came in, that was our first knowledge of it. Our My first knowledge of it. >> Judge, if I could have one more. Lieutenant Price, were you there on February the 23rd when Mr. Boswell's property was searched with the cadaver dogs? >> I was not. >> Thank you. >> Did you see Hunter with Evelyn anytime? >> No, ma'am. >> So, this is critical because Evelyn goes missing shortly after Megan Boswell starts dating Hunter Wood. And that's another part of Carter's testimony that's important when it comes to the timeline in the case in December of 2019. Caitlin, is this one of the pictures you received from Megan Boswell? It was at via text? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. And did she indicate that Evelyn was with her that day? >> No, ma'am. >> Did she send you any pictures of her with Evelyn that day? >> No, ma'am. >> Did she seem to be upset at all that day when she sent you these pictures? >> No. >> Okay. Did she also send you this photograph from that same day? >> Yes, ma'am. >> And you can you tell me what the date is that's behind her on the photograph? Can you read that? >> On the top? >> Yeah. >> It says 2019. >> Okay. And you may not recall, but if you do, do you remember when those photographs were sent to you? >> I do not recall. >> Okay. Would it have been after early December? >> Yes, ma'am. >> because it would have been, you said, she started dating Hunter 1 to 2 weeks after the beginning of December, is that right? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. So, is it fair to say it was at least 1 to 2 weeks after mid-December? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Is that fair? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. So, from mid-December is Well, let me say this. Prior to Thanksgiving of 2019, did Megan talk a lot about Evelyn? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Did you see her post a lot about Evelyn? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. What about mid-December? Is she still doing that? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. >> [clears throat] >> At some point, did you did you ask her where Evelyn was? >> Yes. >> What did she say? >> She said that she was with her father. >> Okay. When you say her father, do you know who do you think she was talking about or who was she talking about? >> She was speaking of Ethan. >> Okay. Did she say why Evelyn was with Ethan? >> Yes, ma'am. >> What did she say? >> She said that Ethan came home and got emergency custody. >> Okay. Did she ever show you any paperwork? >> No, ma'am. >> That becomes important, too, because Ethan did not have Evelyn with him. That was one of the first stories that Megan Boswell told. But, the defense tried to make some points through Carter's testimony. >> Ms. Carter, you described Evelyn as being dirty that day. >> Yes, sir. >> Had you ever seen Evelyn dirty before? >> No, sir. >> Did you ever see any signs of abuse? >> No, sir. >> Did Megan seem like a loving mother to you? >> Yes, sir. >> Um did she seem devoted to Evelyn? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Um did you ever see her neglect her in any [clears throat] way? >> No, sir. >> There was even more damaging testimony about Evelyn's condition that came from a woman who baby sat her for Megan Boswell. >> You said you baby sat her last in November to early December. >> Yes. >> So, this would have been taken around that time. >> Yes. >> Okay. And and does Evelyn to you appear healthy here? >> Um pardon? >> Did she Was she healthy? >> Oh, yes. >> Okay. And was she walking? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you remember the the last day that you baby sat Evelyn? >> Um pretty much. >> Okay. Do you remember what time Megan picked Evelyn up that day? >> It was late that night. Say, maybe 10, 10:30. >> Okay. >> [snorts] >> And you may not recall, but do you recall the date? >> I'm not sure. >> Okay. Did did Megan indicate that she needed you to babysit again after that day? >> No, she said that she wouldn't need me no more. >> Okay. >> How many love letters did you write to Evelyn while she's been gone? >> None. >> Why? >> Why would I write her love letters? >> You can talk to her when she's older. Remember that time that you were missing? Every single day I wrote you 10 letters. I was out beating the bushes trying to find you. I want to be honest with you. Let's go back talk about the plan. I don't think you were in there for this. I told you we had a plan, right? I've said that 3 days ago. I said we put it on there if we needed to. Somebody walked by and just said something about a plane and she looked at me, right? And you realized I was being honest with you, right? I'm going to be honest with you, right now. Do you know why I think you ain't been out looking for Evelyn? >> Why? >> It's two things. You kind of wanted the same. You know where she is, okay? >> I don't know exactly where she is. >> Or you know she's dead. >> No. >> Now's the time to talk. Is Evelyn dead? >> Not that I know of unless Mom has done something. I would never hurt her. She's my daughter. >> Okay. You're not out here doing all that you can find your daughter. It's two reasons. You know where she is or she's dead. >> Evelyn is safe. If something has >> [ __ ] What you're saying right here. >> [music] >> Say you and your mom can't find Evelyn and she won't tell where she's at. You get out looking for her, but you just after all this you're with her, right? >> I didn't >> Mom goes goes to the Blowing Rock, North Carolina and you said this is the seats from where you and your mom were there. But where's Evelyn at now? >> I don't know. Mom wouldn't tell me anything. >> Where is she? >> Mom would not tell me. I told you that already. >> So you went along with her? >> I didn't >> You went with her You went with your mother on a trip to Blowing Rock to goof after around and your little girl yellow horse said. Is that what you want me to believe? >> I'm being honest. >> That's not what I asked. You went You've got detail after detail after detail after detail of this little girl. Her whole entire life. You can tell us specifically this to the day to the hour of what was going on in your child's life until here. >> I don't know. >> Look at [music] me. >> I love you. >> There's no way. There's no way. I'm a parent. There's no way. No way you don't know. It's impossible. >> I honestly thought she was with my mother. Every time I I've been honest. Every time I asked my mom, she'd be like, "She's in a safe place. Don't worry about it." I don't know what else you all want to know. I've given you every Like, you know, place I can find my mother and I'm trying to help you all as much as I possibly can. >> It doesn't make sense. Look, where is she? >> I don't know. If I knew, we wouldn't be here in this room. >> Something happened December 21st. >> Something happened before December 21st. >> What is it? >> You all know that. The 14th and 16th was the last time that I saw her. >> We don't know that. We know that's what you're telling us, okay? And we also know that you lied to us. You spent about 6 hours lying to me, okay? I don't know when to believe you. Now, everything you tell me I have to verify, okay? Everything I told you has come true, >> [music] >> right? >> Right. >> We're not going to lie to you. I'm not going to sit here and blow smoke up your ass. I I'm not. But there comes a point that we just got to talk about facts and reality. I mean, here's something else that really like really really bugs me. You go looking for apartments with You're willing to look for a place to live, you told us yesterday for you Have you given this baby a name yet? >> I don't know gender. >> Okay. You go out hunting for apartments and not Evelyn. For you and the new baby. You put on that application three people will live there. That's three of you, the new baby. Evelyn's hung out to dry. That's why in my heart I believe Evelyn is dead [music] or you know where Evelyn is. >> I don't know where she's at. The last person that I knew that she was with was mom. >> Well >> And my mother called you back. >> Here's the monster you have to drive. There's something else you're not telling us. >> There's not. And I can 110% say that. I know I lied to you all before, but after I started telling you everything with mom, I've done nothing but tell you all the truth. And I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been talking more >> I know you have. >> and so forth. >> No, but you just I mean Do you not care about her? >> I do care about her. Why would we be up here? >> [ __ ] You don't care about her? She's been gone for how long? You never picked up the phone. You never called. Did you ask if anyone knew? No. We didn't know. I mean, we're we're two months behind finding her. >> You know I'll be honest about why I didn't call? >> Yeah. >> Please. I thought after mom talked to her, I thought you all were going to get her and would do anything, so I thought I'd do better to try to get her myself. >> So you're going to hear you're going to blame Mag- Maggie. That's not even believable. No, okay, that's a lie. >> Okay, whatever. >> I mean, I know man. I know Mom. >> And she may not like us, but do you like I said, do you believe everything she just told me a minute ago? You didn't believe everything she told you? >> Not only she said that, but a lot of everybody else. >> Who is this everybody? Have you ever Have you ever talked to law enforcement in your life? >> No. >> So, you're basing everything on what? Three or four people that are always in trouble with the public, dopehead, drug dealer, overdose victim. Hey, just a minute. Just a second. I'm going to walk over there and grab my work phone. He's been blowing my phone up. She's done more to help Evelyn than you ever did. So, if that what that excuse you just told us is true, I don't which I don't believe, it's insane because her daughter died and the police investigated it and for whatever reason weren't able to solve it, she still has hope that the same police, this man right here, can find your daughter. Do you want me to show you all the stuff she's been sending me? Do you want to see how many times she's called me today? >> buildings >> Okay. >> So, it is a Google Map looking >> Straight down. >> straight down over it and then you all have Is that a something that you all have overlaid the distances between the properties on top of that? >> Correct. >> Okay. >> And does it show the distance, I believe, I'm not looking at it right now, but between the the trailer and the playhouse where you all recovered the body? >> It does. >> And and what does it indicate the distance is? >> 50.34 feet, I believe. >> All right. And in in your in your Have you Have you found the information that's contained within Google Maps to be be accurate? >> Correct, it's very accurate. >> All right. >> I don't have any objection to this. >> I would judge that we need to make that exhibit 225. >> 225 >> All right, exhibit 225. >> I ask to publish that to the jury because He has a laser pointer Lieutenant Price. >> I do. >> All right. If you could kind of I know that's kind of tough to see but if you would point out where the the trailer is. I believe that's where >> Boswell lived. >> Correct. Right here. >> Okay. And then if you would >> Playhouse is over here. >> All right. And there's a distance there of 50.34 ft. Is that between the corner of the Boswell's trailer and the playhouse? Is that what we're >> Yes, that's correct. >> Thank you. >> I would like to ask you a couple more questions if I could. >> Uh Agent Price, uh I saw in the video at some point that y'all were giving Megan a cell phone. Is that right? >> We did. That's at one point in the investigation gave her a phone so we could communicate with her. >> Okay. Well, that that phone could also be used to track her, too, I assume. >> believes in us and believes in Evelyn more than you do. How's that going to come out? How's that going to look? Do you believe we can help you find Evelyn? >> Yes. I believe that we'd be up here every day. >> You believe in that or you want to say that? >> I believe you. >> I dare say she's called again since I've been sitting over here. >> If you on Facebook, all she did for like months was trash talk like every >> I don't give a damn about that. >> Okay. >> I I think crazy, okay? But she's trying. In her mind, she is trying. >> I'm trying to help you all but you are >> I want to ask you a question. Do you want to go home or do you want to help us? >> I'll stay here as long as you're not like You're not doing good here cuz then what's the point of being here if you don't think I'm doing any good. >> You're not. Are you going to give us any information other than what you've already told us? >> That's the only information I know to give to you. >> Do you know why Matt and I are the two that keep talking to you? >> Cuz I talked to you all more than anybody else. >> Not exactly. >> And I talked to you more I've told you more than I have anybody else. >> Not exactly. We're the only two out of the 40 damn people that are probably over there right now that have an inkling that you're telling us some truth. Everyone else over there thinks every word coming out of your mouth is a lie. And I can understand how they get that, okay? I think you're still lying to some, but I believe in you enough to think you told us some truth. You're not telling us all the truth. >> I have already told you everything that I know. >> loved this kid. You loved this kid. I'm sorry. I shouldn't say this kid to Evelyn. You loved Evelyn. You dated every minute and every second of her life. You You remember it. You can say that picture, remember putting that outfit on her this day she was happy. So on and so forth. And then comes in the picture don't like Evelyn. >> Evelyn's gone. >> Evelyn is gone. >> My mom had already taken her out at that point. The 14th through the 16th. >> Okay. So, That's when you started You started dating December 2nd or December 1st? >> Okay. >> I know that to be a fact. >> All right. >> That's when I started working at checking and started going to >> [clears throat] >> work a week later. >> Okay. So, let's say a week later, December 7th. The last credible sighting was not from you cuz you're not credible anymore. The last credible sighting was around December 7th. Now, finish your story. >> Okay. >> You start dating December 7th, you're going over to his house, no one sees Evelyn. >> It was after that. >> When? >> Probably around the 9th of June. >> Okay. >> When my mom started coming to help me babysit her. >> Two or three days later, boom. >> That's when my mom started coming to help me babysit. And those days, you can look at the schedule, I was at work from 6:00 a.m. to like 7:00 I I mean I was there I was there before 5:00 o'clock when they started opening until they closed. >> I don't care if you worked a 24-hour shift. Evelyn is gone. Okay? >> Well, she was out of town. >> If you cared about this little girl, if you cared about this little girl, you wouldn't have allowed this to start with. That's my opinion. I'll give you another opinion of mine. I think everybody that's been in working on this, I can't even count up my hours at this point. I haven't hardly any sleep. I talked to a lady in Nashville last night. I had a that I thought I had a dream about. I woke up this morning and looked I've actually talked to that lady. Okay? That's how long and how hard we've been working on this. Everybody over there, you know what they think? They think that all of them care more about Evelyn than you do. That's how it looks. If I were to write it down on paper, that's how it looks. Your actions make it seem like you don't care. If you do care, if you want me to walk over there and say, "Guys, guess what she just did. She just helped us out with this. She cares. You were all wrong. Matt and I were right. If you want me to go there and say that, help me. Give me the phone. >> know what else to tell you to help you. I have >> Well, I mean, we don't we can't even corroborate that your that your mom's the last one who did it, baby. I'm telling you. They're >> Why do you think you can't follow your mother? >> What? >> Yeah. >> I I have no idea. You tell us why. We've tried. We've tried our best. We got a freaking binder in the air trying to bind them. >> Okay, and that right there should tell you all something because people if I did something, I would be up here talking to you. I'd have been like, "I'm the lawyer, come up here." I wouldn't say anything. Tell me go or I would not. >> Okay. >> That's the reason why mom's not talking to you all. >> Why? Why? >> Because she knows she did her You know when Dallas sat here and Dallas was like, "Oh, well, she can't come home. She's going to have to leave. She can't come back. She's going to have to leave. She's going to have to go. She can't come back." Do you remember that? There has to be a reason for that. Do you not agree with me on that? >> I agree. Here's where we disagree. I think you know more. >> I don't know more. >> These guys These guys over at the Tolland County Sheriff's Office, they worked and lived here all their lives. They're familiar with your family, okay? I'm not trying to be derogatory towards you, but they're familiar with the Boswells. All right? You know what they told me this morning? The Boswells are a tight-knit family. They won't rat on each other. I think that is where this is coming from. I think you are doing what you were raised to do and not rat on anyone in your family. >> If I was going to rat on anyone in my family, I wouldn't have told you anything about my mom. And you know what? I did that first. And then I talked to them and then I was like, "Hey, you need to know what happened." And then I know if you noticed, but literally the second I got off the phone with them, what they're happening. >> I believe I believe I don't know. >> And then literally after I got off the phone with >> You can tell us why. You can tell us why. You told us your latest version of the truth, and then I got up to take a break, and you said, "Will you call my dad, but don't tell him what I told you." You told me that story before you talked to your dad. You didn't want him to know you would told, because he raised you to tell. >> I called him that morning. >> Okay. But you told us, "Don't tell Daddy what what you told us." >> And you know why? Because he's going to tell everyone on the whole family, "Hey, they're looking for her." >> He's trying to help us. >> Right, but he told them why. And I thought nobody was supposed to know. >> Did you think we'd put out an Amber Alert? >> No, I mean that he specifically called us and said, "Hey, I know she has the baby. Tell her to come give me the baby or take it to the sheriff's office." >> You think people weren't going to figure that out on their own? They're not smart enough for River. I did. Okay. >> Well, nobody I don't think >> Isn't that what she said? We're not smart enough. That I can't I I can't even fathom that. You didn't come to the police because we're not going to do nothing to help you. That's [ __ ] That's what it's like to have a dead baby. >> Okay. >> She's trying to help us. She don't want you to kill that. At this point, I can't tell if you know how that feels, because I don't know. >> I don't know how it feels, and I hope I never have to know how that feels. The whole time that he heard we were looking for a place, that's all I talked about was going to River Bend. >> Well, how do you know that he didn't know about that? >> He just didn't really comment on it. That's literally like if you talk to the lady at the apartments we looked at, you can ask her. >> You think we ain't already done that? >> I talked about my daughter. She knew that. She said she had two kids. >> Do you remember her showing you that Corey had killed that? I think we got that. >> Sometime, we'll still go. >> No, it's not. We'll We'll go. And look, we're not trying to be mean, hateful, jackass jerks. We're getting to the end of one here. >> And I have told you everything that I know and I'm trying to help you. >> Let me talk. We're getting to the We're getting to where there's not much more than you're helping us with. >> Cuz I don't have anything else to tell you all. >> That's what you say. >> I don't. >> Let me ask you ask you this. When When's your court date? >> 25th or the 26th. >> Is that Wednesday? >> Yes, it's Wednesday. >> What's your plan? What are you going to tell the judge? >> If I don't have or can produce a child, the judge is going to be arrested for being in contempt of court. >> Okay. How does that make you feel? >> I mean, not great, but I >> Have you ever been in jail before? >> No. >> I mean, if you have no place to be, I mean, no plan. >> Okay, well, I don't want to go to jail, but if I don't have anything else to tell you all, what am I I can't tell you anything else. I really don't >> you would have been I think you're at peace Whatever happened to this little girl, you're at peace with it. >> I'm not at peace with it. >> Well, you don't act like you're not at peace with it. That's what I think, too. I think you >> Wait, if if >> I think it's the 21st. 21st or 22nd. But you're That has been a two-month process. You're at peace with it. >> I'm not at peace with it. >> Well, What Why is it that that whatever wherever everyone is, whether she's alive or whether she's dead, you're at peace with it. >> I'm not at peace with it. >> We You don't show it. >> Just cuz I'm not crying all the >> I'm not saying crying all the time. It's all more than just crying all the time. I mean, like I said, I'm a parent. I have three kids of my own. If one of them and they're older, if one of them were gone, you you couldn't tie me down anywhere because I would be out if I was on foot in the snowstorm looking for them. But not you. You're out here at Bowlin Roll, Ripley's Aquarium, going to pick up >> uh >> Olive Garden. Life is normal for you. She's gone and you're at peace with it. >> I know. Isn't it abnormal? >> You're at peace with it. You're with He's taking He's He's You're with him, doing anything with him, run around here, going places. >> That does not mean I'm at peace. >> And Evelyn's gone. >> That doesn't mean that I'm at peace with it. >> How does it not? >> Because you were you were you were there, not here with her, not looking for her. You were there with him. >> Are you at peace with it? >> No. >> What are you not at peace with? >> I don't have my child. >> We know that. I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what looks what all of this, what looks the worst. I can't tell if it's the fact that you're going to Ripley's a week after your child has been missing 5 days, or the fact that you're picking up food, providing for somebody else, a random dude, basically. >> No, he gave me the money. >> Because you're going to get it. He got it for you. >> I didn't ask for it. >> Whatever. You ain't got it for you. Could have been looking for Evelyn. You're providing for somebody else. You're taking care of somebody else now. Blowing rock, however long you sit there. Yeah. Insurance in that box, in your baby box. >> I had to put it in there. >> And nobody else knows. Nobody else knows. You're hiding it, too. That's the other thing that that I can't understand. You're hiding it. You know you don't know where she's at. You're making excuse after excuse after excuse for people that ask you about her. "Well, she's here. She's there. She's here. She's there." I I know this. Facebook messages. We've been there, too. You I mean, we're not You know we've got all that, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And telling everybody in the world lies about where she's at. Lies that we can prove that are lies. You know how many I lost I lost it last night. I knew the days, the days, the reasons, and the number of times you took Evelyn to the doctor. She's a baby, she's 2 years old. You care for her. You never took her to the doctor. You remember any of those? >> She had an ear infection one time. I think I took her for like just allergies one time and then other times and checkups and stuff like that. She's little. She's got to go all the time. >> That adds up. So, you're saying there was quite a few visits, right? Now, when you have a baby, she's your life. >> Well, yeah, they weren't like sick visits. They were just checkups and stuff like that. They were just checkups and stuff like that. >> But the But the point [music] that it is, you did it. We deal with mothers all the time who don't take their kids anywhere. Okay? You did it. You took Evelyn to see the doctor. Okay? Right. And [music] then one year the well visit rolls around and you start making excuses cuz Evelyn is sick. We know you rescheduled it. We know you told them to switch the nutritions. And we know why. But >> That was around the time that Mom was babysitting and I was working literally from 5:00 in the morning till like 7:00 or later at night. And the only reason I got a job was so I could have money to take care of Evelyn. >> Okay. What was What was your mom doing? [music] >> Nowhere. >> There's my point. Your mom's not fit to be a babysitter. You left your mom You left Evelyn with your mom. Now you're telling me you had to reschedule the appointments because you were at work. >> I was at work on that day she went to the doctor. >> The point I believe that part. The point of it is your mom wasn't at work. She was probably doing [music] dope, right? And your child is missing well visits. If and that's a big if in my mind. If Evelyn is still alive she ain't safe. Your mom wouldn't even take her to a well visit. >> At trial, her father took the stand. He testified that he saw her at Christmas in December of 2019 and that Evelyn was not with her. He asked where the child was. He was told she was with someone else. He set a deadline. When it passed, he picked up the phone himself and called the Department of Children Services. That call is what started the search. >> Then it was time for the jury to consider her sentence. Her lawyers asking that she one day be eligible for parole. >> Ladies and gentlemen, um although I may not agree with your verdict, I I respect your verdict. I respect you. And I thank you for your time and I have one more thing to to ask you. You have to make a decision now and that decision is is a it's going to mean the difference if you sentence Megan Boswell to life in prison, she'll be released when she is um probably 69 years old. That'll be eight She's been in jail She You probably realize she has been in jail since she was 18 years old. She went to jail February 25th of 20 of 2020 and she hasn't been released. Um so with that said, if you give her a life sentence, it would be 51 years. That's what I'm asking you to do. If you give her a life without sentence, she will never be released from prison. That that's the difference. So it'll be the difference between her being released at what I believe would be 69 70 years old or never being released. >> The defense called Megan Boswell's mother, Angela, to testify. >> Let's talk about Megan's life growing up. Would it be fair to say that during her lifetime she she's witnessed um drug use between you and her father? >> Yes. >> What type of drugs? >> Um opiates, mainly. >> [snorts] >> Scoot up or speak into that so the jury can hear >> Uh opiates mainly. >> Uh did that drug use lead to other problems? >> Uh yeah. Arguments, fighting, yes. >> Okay. You say there there was >> Stress. >> Stress? >> Is what it brings, yes. Nonstop. >> Is that something that went on pretty much her entire childhood growing up? >> Yeah, from the time she was pretty little, yeah. >> Okay. Yeah. Now Did she witness fights between you and her father? >> Yes. >> Okay. I think at some point her father was convicted of >> [snorts] >> aggravated assault and kidnapping. >> Yes. >> Were you the victim in that? >> Yes. >> These problems Do you feel that it's partly your fault the the problems Megan's experienced? >> No, absolutely. Yes. >> Megan Boswell wiped away tears after her mother testified and then her foster mother Gail Kite testified. >> She was in bad shape. She was one of the worst children that I'd brought in as far as neglect. >> What do you mean by that? >> She was very malnourished. She's very skinny. Her hair was matted to her head with lice. Impossible to even get a comb through. >> Okay. Well Well, when she came to you, were you given any background? I imagine in foster care you're given background or information of where this child is coming from. Were you given any of that? >> I was. >> And what What were you preparing for? >> Uh In the intake papers, it mentioned trauma. Uh it mentioned rape. >> Did it give you any background or any information about her family background or makeup? >> Uh not really. >> Right. Now, you said she came to you with lice. What did [clears throat] you do to try to help Megan? >> Well, uh I took her to a beauty shop because it there was no way to even begin to get a comb through. It was horrible. The beauty shop wouldn't touch it. They told me what I offered to pay them $100 to go out back to cut her hair. And they said that they couldn't do it. Finally, the agency trauma uh it mentioned rape. >> The jury deliberated for a matter of hours and convicted her on every count, 20 in total, including two of first-degree murder in the perpetration of a felony and abuse of a corpse. She was sentenced to life imprisonment on three counts with a further 33 years ordered to run consecutively.
