That's why you give me a fake ID cuz you're not 21. I'm not stupid. I work on the beach. I deal with this 10 times a day. >> Okay, I didn't know cuz it's like day one. >> What state is your ID from? I see if So this is no fair. I can't understand. >> A Florida beach on April 15th, 2025, a deputy with the Volusia Sheriff's Office was working the beach when he spotted what deputies on beach patrol spot multiple times a day, a group of young people with alcohol on a beach [music] where alcohol is not allowed. He approached. He was polite. Hey, there's no alcohol out on the beach. The young woman apologized. He asked her to dispose of it. He asked for identification. She handed over what she believed was a functioning fake driver's license. And the deputy, who had just told her it was not his first day, ran the number. The number came back to a woman in her 70s, not a 20-something, not a college student, a 70-year-old woman with a photograph. The photograph showed an elderly face that bore no resemblance to the 18-year-old standing on the beach in a bikini handing over an ID that belonged to someone's grandmother, the handcuffs went on immediately. >> Hello. Hey, there's no alcohol out on the beach. Uh at one of the nearest trash cans. Do you guys have your IDs with you? >> No. >> You guys at least 21? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Are you still in California? >> Huh? >> Are you still in California? Okay. And you're still in South Caro South Carolina? >> No. >> Okay. What's your current address? >> Don't be rude. >> The deputy told her to stand up and put her hands behind her back. She asked, "For what?" He listed the charges without pausing. Providing a false name, possession of a fake identification card, alcohol on the beach. She sat on the ground in handcuffs and attempted to explain. "That was my friend's ID." The deputy was unimpressed. "That's like an 80-year-old lady." >> Last name Papa Echo Charlie Uniform November Echo Sierra. First name India Sierra Alpha. Bravo, Echo, Lima, Lima, Alpha. Middle is M Mike. 210 of 01, white female. >> We're going to go over the cell. >> I copy. Okay. All right. Put your hands behind your back. >> For what? >> Put your hands behind your back or you're going to go to the ground. I don't want to hurt you. Put your hands behind your >> I get it, but can you just explain to >> You provided me with a fake ID. >> My friends are looking for >> Put your hands behind your back. We'll get into that in a minute. Put your hands behind your back. I'm going to tell you again, if you do not do what I tell you to do, you're going to go to the ground and you're going to catch a resisting charge. Relax your hands. Put your hands together like you're praying. Why don't you put your hands behind your I want to secure it. >> What happened to my stuff? >> One security. I'm going to go over here to my truck and we're going to figure out who you really are, okay? >> The deputy showed her what appeared on his screen when he ran the driver's license number, a photograph of an elderly woman, not 24, not remotely close to 24. Your friend has a terrible fake ID, the deputy told her, because when I run the number, I get the real person's picture back and it's not that. Whoever made your fake ID did a shitty job. He could have at least picked somebody your age. >> Sorry, sir. What do I Do I just sit here? >> Yep, just hang tight for right now, okay? Cuz I still have your ID your information. Okay, but you're not free to go yet. Okay. All right. Let's start again, okay? >> That was my friend's ID. >> It's like a 80-year-old lady. Okay. >> That's not an 80-year-old lady. >> I have her picture pulled up. The driver's license number that's on there. It's a fake ID. >> She's like 24. >> Okay. Well, your friend has a terrible fake ID cuz when I run the number, I get the real person's picture back and it's not that. >> Mhm. Okay. >> Okay. It's like a 70-something-year-old lady. So, whoever made y'all's fake ID did a shitty job. >> Okay. >> He could have at least picked somebody young. >> I don't think that was even a fake ID. >> Oh, it's fake. I promise you it's fake. >> Oh. I didn't know. >> Well, you didn't know cuz it's not yours. >> Well, I know that it wasn't mine. That's the picture though. >> That's that lady's When I run that number driver's license number, that's what comes up. Yeah. Not you. >> Yeah, I know. >> Okay? So, what is your last name? >> Uh >> What is your first name? What's your middle initial? >> I don't have a middle name. >> Okay. What is your date of birth? >> Uh >> What year? >> 2007. >> That's why you gave me a fake ID, because you're not 21. I'm not stupid. I work on the beach. I deal with this 10 times a day. >> Okay. >> not my first day. >> like days old. >> What state is your ID from? >> 2007. The deputy did the math out loud. That's why you gave me a fake ID, because you're not 21. I'm not stupid. I work on the beach. I deal with this 10 times a day. It is not my first day. Isabella Pacoons was 18 years old, born in 2007. Russian was her first language. She had moved from California to Florida to attend Daytona State College, where she planned to study radiology. Her sister lived nearby. She was building a new life on the East Coast. And on April 15th, that new life included an arrest on a beach for handing a deputy an identification card. >> Florida? Or is it >> It's South Carolina. >> South Carolina. What is your first name, ma'am? All right, South Carolina by name. Let's try this time. How old are you? >> Me? >> Mhm. >> Uh I'm 18. >> Last name? First name? I want to see your license of South Carolina. >> Um how many further charges are there? >> Well, right now you're just at the ones that I talked to you about, so we'll see where this goes. >> We're good. >> Why did she give me a fake ID? >> What did you guys talk about? >> Yeah. >> you both, guys? >> I want to run the deal number comes back to like a 70-year-old lady. >> I'm sorry. >> With a picture. >> I didn't know. It wasn't my fake. It was my friend's fake. >> But you provided it to try to identify yourself with that. >> are you? >> 18. >> 18? >> Can you stand by her for a second, Joey? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Your subject came back negative. No record found out of South Carolina. >> Hey. name is Correct? >> Yeah. >> Your first name is >> Exactly. I didn't do anything. >> Don't don't listen to them. >> Okay, but they're right. >> That'll get you in trouble. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> When the deputy asked if she had any warrants, she asked a question that told him everything about how much experience she had with the legal system. What's a warrant? He defined it. A piece of paper that says you have to go to jail by the order of the court. She did not have any warrants. She did, however, have a fake ID, a beach full of witnesses, and no pants. >> Um I got some good news, I got some bad news. >> Okay. >> The good news is I am not going to charge you with providing me with a false name. >> Okay. >> Okay? The bad news is you have a fake ID, okay? And and it is unlawful to have a fake ID, okay? And then it's unlawful to provide a fake ID to law enforcement, okay? Certain things I have discretion on, right? Meaning I can write you a ticket, I can take you to jail, whatever. Certain things I have discretion on, certain things I don't have discretion on, okay? The fake ID part, uh you're going to be taking a ride today, okay? So, you are under arrest, okay? Um Do you want her to have your belongings, to hold on to them for you? Okay. >> any shorts that you can put on her? >> just going to say, do you have do you have some pants that she can put on? Okay. I'm just going to hold on to you because you can't If you trip and fall, you can't brace yourself. >> Can you give me my shorts? >> Yeah. >> Um You want to pick up the COD for a >> Yeah, she >> Hold on to them. >> Uh I'm 21. >> Okay. >> I'm 19 though. >> Yeah, we'll state statute. I got no top. >> I'm on the street right now. You got a shirt? You want a t-shirt that she can just hold on to so she can put it on when she gets out there. Okay, that's all right. You got it. They'll give you one. >> I can just wear this. >> ID at? >> Here. >> Where's your ID at? All right. Come over here. I'm going to have you sit in the car for a second. >> Yeah. >> We'll get the rest going. >> Can I put my shoes on? >> Uh yeah, we'll bring you others. >> The deputy gave her the news in two parts. Good news, he was not going to charge her with providing a false name. Bad news, the fake ID was a mandatory arrest. Certain things I have discretion on, certain things I don't. The fake ID part you're going to be taking a ride today. She needed shorts, she needed a shirt. The deputies asked her friend if there were pants available. There were not. The friend offered shorts that turned out to not be shorts. >> What's so funny? Okay, wait, what is so funny with you? >> I see something. So this is not fair. I can't understand this. >> She said what's so funny. She said what's so funny with you. And I'm saying the toes, whatever. So, what's going to happen is What's going to happen is um >> Yeah. He's a friendly poop. >> She like that. So, what's going to happen is that I called Aisha. I called your mom. But mixing secrets don't make friends. What's she mad about? >> [ __ ] told everyone. Like bro, why why does she feel the need to tell people? >> I think she's trying to like >> She could have just kept it between the two of us. >> I think she's trying to feel wild. >> kept it between the two of us. >> But her intentions were good. Right? >> I don't even know. >> All right. Let's get the show on the road. Let's get you down there so you can get out, okay? >> Is she going to come? >> She said she is. >> Is she going to come in in the other car? >> No, she's not coming in the other car. Like Uber? >> Well, I don't know. I've never been arrested before. >> She's going to have to drive out there and bond your ass out. >> to drive? >> Yes. >> She doesn't have a car. >> How'd you get here? >> Uh Uber. I'll bond you out. >> Sounds like she You hear that? >> She's going to Uber >> Don't be mean. Don't be mean. She'll leave you in there. Hey, let's >> I'm paying for your bond, bro. >> Yeah, and if you're mean to her, she can She can kick you cuz she doesn't care if she messed up her foot cuz she's getting fixed anyways. >> No, I'm getting picked up by Aisha. And then we're going to come to you and bond you out. >> What do you You don't really have much of a choice. I was just going to say, how are you going to turn your head back? She's helping you out. She could make you sit in there till >> She'll be [ __ ] out of my mouth. >> Her friend, the one whose fake ID had started the entire situation, said she would Uber to the jail to bond Isabella out. The deputy told the friend, "Good luck with the toe." The friend had a foot injury, and if you're mean to her, she can kick you because she's getting it fixed anyway, someone added. [music] >> [ __ ] out of my mouth? >> Oh. Oh. >> Oh my god, that was really like 5 minutes ago. >> I don't know Russian, but that's funny cuz I got a [ __ ] pillow right there. >> She said I'm [ __ ] out of my mouth. >> [laughter] >> Cuz I was like, I told you it was [ __ ] >> I mean, in all fairness, she's looking at a [ __ ] pillow, so maybe that's the first thing that came to mind. All right. You ready? All right. You know where you're going? >> I give her the number and I I give her the number to the branch office. >> My guy. All right. Do you have anything on you, on your person? >> No. >> She When I was in contact with her, she's basically in a G-string. Okay. Not really anywhere you can hide anything. >> have any other personal items with you? >> Nope. >> No cash, no phone, nothing? >> Okay. >> I'm just going to wait for the hot tub. No, you're fine.
