Another goes to find some shoes. >> I walk you inside to find your shoes. >> And a woman waves a funny looking sword. >> Weapons. >> On the morning of April 24th at a Sam's Club in Clearwater, Florida, a Buick Envision and a mobility scooter were on a collision course. According to the driver of the Buick, something came flying out of the exit doors and she hit it. She didn't see anybody and kept going, disappearing around the corner. Officers would later review security cameras and find out that she stopped to get gas. So, they looked up her address, found the Buick, and knocked on her front door. >> Hi, ma'am. >> Is this your car out here? >> Is this one your car out here? Well, >> so so here's the problem, though. You hit you hit a person. Okay. And she's in jail or she's in the hospital right now. She's going to have to stay overnight. Okay. Well, she must have just come flying out of there. >> We watched the video of it and uh she she came out, but she actually stopped and tried to avoid a crash. And then you came around the corner and sent her about 20 ft down the road. You hit her so hard. >> Oh my word. >> Yeah. Yeah. You're going to look up. >> Okay. >> So, that happened. She was charged with leaving the scene of a crash. [music] She'd plead no contest to the charge and be placed on probation. She'd also be assessed court costs, fines, and fees totaling $881.84. Authorities did not release details on the victim's injuries, but she was conscious, talking, and appeared in stable condition throughout her encounter with the officers.
