the way that he been snapping more and more lately. Me I mean when even when I was pregnant, you know, I mean, this this has been going off and on, you know, for a while. He he even shoved me, you know, back in the day. But the way that it's gotten here the past little bit, it's like Daniel checks out and it's like a demon checks in and it's not Daniel anymore in his eyes. On August 29th, 2017 in Walaw Wala, Washington, Shila A. Osborne was questioned in connection with the death of Daniel E. Kasein, who had died as a result of a shooting at their home. Spoiler details are in the video description, and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> Well, I I'm just going to ask you a few questions, you know, basic like I was asking you in the in the car uh to come over. You met uh you met Daniel when was it? 2014. >> 2014 in the summer. >> And you met him here in Walaw Wala? >> No, in Richland. >> In Richland. Okay. So, and you worked at Walgreens in Richmond. >> Mhm. I worked at the Walgreens. >> Okay. >> It was right across from CVS and George Washington Way. >> Right across from >> Seed. Ready Walgreens. George Washington Way and and uh Bang Gon. >> Okay. Bang Gon Corner. Bang Gon. George Washington. Okay. I know where that is. I used to live in West Virginia. >> He lived in the apartments, the um what were they called? Uh St. No. Anyways, Mallerie Street apartments right there. So, he used to walk and drive. >> Okay. And so, you guys started up a relationship at that point in time. >> Well, I he just come in and he would come in and he'd come in with his daughter and you know, we just started talking that winter, you know. So, I mean, I'd seen him come in out for like 6 months. >> Mhm. >> And I started talking to him during that winter time. I moved here from Tennessee. Um I was previously married and it was it was not good. Not a physical but necessarily he was an addict and it was just not good for him. His dad's just like never going to stop, you know, type person. His family is very involved in the church. He gave off the illusion that he was something that he wasn't and all that. >> What was he addicted to? >> Uh opiates. opiates, pills, >> uh, >> or heroin. >> Not heroin. Um, morphine. >> Morphine. >> Yeah. And whatever else he get his hands on. >> This is Daniel. >> No. >> That's why I moved here anyways. I'm giving you too much information. >> I'm sorry. >> It's okay. It's okay. So, this would have been the father of >> This is This is the Daniel. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> All right. So, so you guys met in 2014 in Richland. When when did did you get married or Okay. So, you met when when did you start your relationship then? >> Um, shortly after like around the winter time. Um, I mean it was it was like I was staying with my brother. He's my biological brother. So, I had never lived with him or really known him. So, I didn't you know whatever. I got away from him and stayed with Daniel for a little while and then I came to Walaw Wala and he was dealing with a divorce and all that kind of stuff. So, his moods were up and down at the time. I talked to him about working on that, you know, through the VA and stuff like that. And he um got on bipolar meds at some point in all of this, but wasn't on them the whole time. So, I wanted to give being with somebody that had PTSD and bipolar a chance. You know, I didn't want to discriminate against him because he had something going on that wasn't his fault. >> Okay. >> You know, but um you know, we've been we've been off and on for a while and this was you know, moving together was like the last chance of it working basically. >> Okay. So, and when did you guys move into that apartment? >> Um I want to say it was March, April of this year. Okay. >> It was right before I, you know, I was I was pretty pregnant. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> And so you've been in that apartment since then and >> Yeah. >> Okay. So she's almost 3 months old and um and then it's uh oldest. >> Uhhuh. And then he also has a daughter, Ava. >> Where's Ava at? Angel with her mom. >> Okay. So, she she wasn't in the in the room. >> No, she wasn't there. >> Okay. >> Okay. What's name? >> Okay. But his daughter did not live with you. >> No. No. She lives with her mom. Her mom Her mom uh lives in Athell with uh her her parents. They live there. her her dad um works for the the sheriff department. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, >> long time >> because because the uh stepdaughter doesn't live with you. Well, she hasn't been living down here at all. >> She she comes and visits. >> Comes and visits. How often? >> Um every other weekend. And and then with the summer, she'd come on Wednesdays, but when when school goes back in, he only has short amount of time during that day. So, >> okay. He uh when school goes back in, he he just goes and picks her up from school and then hangs out and then and drops her back off at her mom's. >> Okay. >> All right. So, you said that uh that Daniel has problems with uh with bipolar and and everything else. um because I don't know a whole lot about what's going on and I'm and I'm not sure, you know, it sounds like this was completely self-defense and but I I there's some things that I need to do and I I don't want it to scare you, but I I feel that I' I've got to do this, you know, because >> I'm whatever you got to do. I I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't felt I needed to. >> Yeah. Yeah. You don't look like >> I don't want I don't want to have to have something like that on my conscience for the rest of my life. >> Abel doesn't have her dad now. >> You know, it sounds like self-defense. Uh but because it is we're talking, you know, Daniel's dead now. Uh because of that, you know, before we get into the the whole thing, we're just going to go through your constitutional rights. Okay. Okay. Have you ever had any problem with the law? I would have never been arrested. >> Never had any issue. Okay, you've seen in the police shows how they go around. >> Okay, that's that's what we're going to do before we start talking about this. Okay, just because I don't know everything that happened, okay? And I'd feel better if we did. Okay, so this is this is our form right here. This is what's called the constitutional rights warning form. Uh it says number one, you have the right to remain silent and you're not under arrest. By the way, this is this is just for our purposes here. >> Yes. Okay. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. Number three, you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you before any questions are asked and have him or her with you uh while you are being asked questions. Number four, if you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed for you to represent you before any question if you wish. Uh, number five, you can decide at any time to stop answering questions and exercise these rights to not answer any questions or to make any statements. Do you understand the those >> I found out why you're doing it, but I know >> what the rights are. Okay. Do you understand each of these rights as I've explained them to you? Okay. Uh, having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me now? >> I have nothing to hide. >> Okay. Let's go ahead and sign it right there. It's 328. >> Okay, I'm just going to sign here. I'll put your name. I probably botch your name. S H Y L A just like it sounds. >> I think it gets botched up all the time. Not bad. >> And mine gets botched up all the time. That's for sure. Okay. So, um, we've been talking about your relationship with Daniel. Uh, you've been explaining that he's been at the VA. He's had some medication for >> his outburst before, too. >> And does he have PTSD? Like I think I heard you say >> he shot himself in Iraq, but they put it down as like accidental dest >> in the chest. >> In the chest. Yeah, he had double cl double collapse lungs. >> Oh my word. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And they said it was just a misfire or an accident. >> That's what they they they were able to cover it up. Yeah. >> Okay. Was he trying to kill himself? >> Mhm. Or I mean I would assume so. Him and his his ex-wife at the time. She was cheating on him or something while while he was out there. >> Okay. So he's obviously got she's he's been dealing with. He's been on medication. not for very long. And I've actually recently talked to him about changing or asking to up it. He stopped going to his counselor. >> I I've talked with him about how I don't feel the lithium is still working for him because for a while it was like a new Daniel and it was like, you know, like things are going to be okay and then it went away and it got worse. >> Was he not taking the medication? >> He said he was taking it. I mean, I would assume that, you know, I don't I don't know if his body got used to it or or what. I don't know if he wasn't taking it properly. He started smoking pot. I feel that affected it somehow. You know, it messes with your, you know, whatever. He said it calmed him down. You know, he didn't do it around the kids or anything like that, you know, way, but it's legal. But I still, you know, whatever. >> Well, let's go over what happened today. Let's start out with what you know I assume everybody's been in the house all day. Um so tell me let's just go through it from the when you guys got up and just take me through everything as much detail as you can remember. >> Okay. Well the past the p the past uh since yesterday you know I mean things haven't been great. He had outburst you know. I I >> tell me what the what you mean by outburst. >> He shoved me. >> Okay. Um he was mad that he he said that he paid all the rent, but he didn't. And he's he's not paying bills like he's supposed to, but he's not telling me the whole truth of it. Every time I bring something up to him, it's my fault. And he goes off on me for it. So, it's better just not to bring it up. And I talked to the landlord about it. And um uh I talked to the landlord about it and told her what was going on a little bit, but not everything. I told I was probably going to sit down with her tomorrow and talk to her about it and um I don't I since about last night, I just haven't felt very like everything's okay. He took off for a little while and you know I thought maybe he might stay at his friends or something like that and he come back home and um I fell asleep. I didn't sleep very well last night. Woke up this morning. I let him sleep in as long as I could and it's basically just been me racking my brain like how is this going to be okay? What are we going to do? and worried, you know, like I don't know how to go about this, you know, like should we do we're not going to be together? Like whatever's going to happen. I I don't know. I don't know. I'm just sorry. We'll just >> take your time. >> Okay. >> I woke up this morning, let the kids sleep in as long as I could. We just kind of kept quiet. He got up. He went in the other room, tried to act like everything was okay. And he does it all the time. Tries to play it off like everything's fine. And then he asked me, "What did the landlord say?" And I told him I didn't want to talk about it cuz I didn't want to fight. Me and her would deal with it. And he kept pressing me and pressing me to talk about it. And I told him that, you know, that the landlord wouldn't have me and that she wanted all, you know, the rest of the money that he didn't pay her. And um he started going off. He he took off his ring and said we were done and he's so done with me. And you know I was like that's that's fine. You know I said what are you going to do? I I'll find somewhere else to live. You know we'll figure all that out. And he was like well don't think that you're going to take the kids from me. And he was like I'll [ __ ] kill you. And he come after me. And he's told me before >> by coming after you? What do you What do you mean? Tell me. explain what he was doing. >> He take he does this thing where he looked down and he looks straight at you. He puts his head down and he charges you like body charges you. >> Okay. >> And so he shoved me into the other room with his body and I tried to walk away from it. I went in the other room and I put the gun in my bra just in case. Just in case he put his hands on me. >> Where would you normally keep the gun? >> Above the refrigerator where the kids can't reach it. >> Okay. What kind of gun? >> Uh it's a Ruger. >> Ruger? What caliber? >> I don't It's a 9 mm. He It's the only one that's mine. I gave him money for he wanted me to have protection when I lived on my own and um I had a gun before that and it was a Smith and Wesson 9mm too, but I haven't had a whole lot of practice. That one replaced that one. He sold that one. Whatever. He has all his guns. >> Okay. And you know, I mean, he's he's made it very clear to me before that if he was gonna try to hurt me, he was going to hurt me. And it keeps getting progressively worse and worse. He keeps shoving me and putting his hands on me and stuff. And he went for his gun. And then so I went for mine. And when I went for mine, he grabbed my hands and I shot him because I knew he would kill me. >> I knew he would kill me. He was he he's told me before about how he's he's squeezed the life out of people. He's put bags over dudes heads and he I mean he he wouldn't think anything to take my life. And then if I if I'm dead though I don't to to have to be split up and and put into all these homes. I I had every reason to take him serious. I had every reason to take him seriously. If if he was said he heard him say he was going to kill me. If he said he was going to kill me, he was going to kill me. >> Do you believe him? >> Yeah. Yeah, I believe him. >> How many times has he threatened to kill you? >> He said it. He He says it, but the fact that he's physically getting more and more aggressive towards me here recently, it adds up that that it's to be taken more serious. >> Okay. your hand. >> Yeah. >> I noticed there's some marks on your hand. Tell me how you got those if you remember. >> In the struggle of it. >> Okay. Are you right-handed or left hand? >> I'm right handed. >> What you got on that hand? >> Oh, there. >> Oh, yeah. I got some hand. >> You got a scratch there. You got a >> fingernail scratch. Turn your hand over a little bit. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You said that he uh was going for his gun. Can you tell me about that? >> And he's been practicing about how fast he can he >> on his hip. He carries on his hip and he he usually conceals as well. So he usually have one on his hip and he'll conceal and either his front or his back. >> Okay. >> So even if I manage to somehow get one gun away from him, he's always got another one. >> So he he packs he packs >> he packs he packs serious. >> He packs two on a regular basis. >> Yeah. on a regular basis. Yeah. >> What about today? >> I don't know if he was concealing the one or not. I don't. But I know he had the one on his hip. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. I got the holster for him that it was in for Father's Day. >> What kind of gun is it? >> Sig. Is it a Wait, Sig. Yeah, that one's a Sig. And then there's Yeah, the one that I have a Ruger. That one's a Sig. And then he's got um a new one, Springfield. And then he had another one. Um, I mean just handgun wise, a shield. He had a shield too. So sometimes he he would wear them around the And he has Glock, too. So he he would wear the Glock on the hip or the Sig on the hip out and then he would conceal the shield or conceal the Glock or conceal the Springfield. So I mean, he was always usually with two guns on him all at one time. Almost all the time. Everywhere he went, he everybody knows him having guns on him. He always has them on him everywhere he goes. Walmart, it doesn't matter. He I mean, he would sleep with them on him, you know? I mean, that's what he does. He's just all about having them on him. >> Okay. So, when the officers went in and he's on the on the ground, he's got a gun on him right now >> with him with him laying on the ground. >> Yeah. At least at least one. Yeah. >> Okay. And that would be either the Sig or the >> It could be any of them. He rotates them. >> Okay. >> It could be any of them. >> Okay. Okay. And your your Ruger? >> That's the only one that was mine. >> Yeah. How How big is that? Is that a compact? Is it a regular size? >> I would assume it's compact. It's small. >> Okay. >> I liked it cuz it had the laser. I felt safe, you know, but I didn't even see the laser. >> Okay. To be honest, when that happened, I didn't even see the laser. >> Okay. Now, you said it pushed into you and describe again. >> It started in like the the kitchen area by where the the bar chairs are. It started there and he shoved me into the family room, the kids playroom area or whatever, but the kids were playing. They weren't they weren't right there. And I went with the gun in my bra just in case because he was starting to get physical and I was hoping that he would leave so I could talk to somebody about getting out of there, you know? I mean, just, you know, file an order protection or something like that. >> Mhm. >> And I just put it in my bra. And when I went back out, he went a at me and said that he he was going to kill me. And heard him say it. He He was there, but he wasn't right right there. He was in the kitchen area, and we were in the in the kids playroom area, which it's playroom, but it's really really really long. That's the room that he was in. >> And when I tried to grab the gun, he went after me and it didn't fire the first time. And I don't even know how I was able to redo it. I I honestly I have no idea how I was able to before he got to me. I have no idea. No idea how I was able to. >> Okay. So, he was coming at you. He said he >> close quarters. Very close quarters. Yeah. >> He said he was going to kill you. >> Yeah. >> And you tried to fire the gun and it didn't fire. >> It didn't fire the first time that I shot. >> So, that's I don't know how many times I shot and and and hit him, but it was we were close quarters. I was as close to him, if not closer, as you and I are right now because he had his hands on me. >> Okay. >> And he was and he was trying to wrestle me. >> Okay. And he >> and he was and and and I I don't know. I mean, like I said, if if he was going to shoot me at that point. That that's it. That's that's all that it is. He at that point he was going to shoot me. >> Okay. >> Just trying to put a gun up for protection. He was already trying to trying to grab me. >> Okay. And so you guys were both standing up? >> Yeah, as far as I can remember. I mean, he was leaning into my body. >> Okay. But you were both standing up and you're not sure exactly how many times you shot, but you know the first one didn't shoot. >> The first one didn't know. >> Did >> the first one didn't shoot. >> Sorry. >> It's okay. >> The first one The first one didn't shoot and somehow I was able to reccock it. I don't know how I I don't know how I was able to because he was trying to grab the gun out of my hand when I did that. >> Okay. >> And he's a lot stronger than me. >> Mhm. >> I mean, he's a lot stronger than me. So, I don't know how I was able to do that without him grabbing it from me. I really, really don't. I mean, he he's wrestled and knows how to take people to the ground and all of that. I have no idea. I have no idea. >> Okay. So, so tell me what happened after you shot. >> I dropped the gun and grabbed the kids and went outside and called you guys. >> Okay. What What did he What was his >> He was hunched over. He was laying over the table. >> Okay. Was he moving? The last thing that I remember before I grabbed the kids was I saw the back of his head and there was like a button of blood and that's the last thing that I remember seeing. That's it. And I smelled the smell of a gunshot. It was really strong. I grabbed the kids and I ran outside. >> Okay. And you heard him say that he was going to kill you. >> Yeah. In the kitchen. >> Heard him say >> see this. Do you know? I don't know how much of it he saw, but he wasn't in the same room as he wasn't within gunfire of of there was no chance of any of that. >> Okay. >> He was he was he was in the kitchen. It's all open. He was in the kitchen. >> Okay. >> I understand. It's a long stretch. >> Okay. >> But he was in the kitchen area and we were over by the the the kids table and toys and stuff right there. >> Okay. Okay. >> Thank you. I'll let you know. You want to drink some more water or you good? >> Good. Thank you. Just please just let me know that they're okay. >> Will be fine regardless. >> Regardless. >> Yeah. The officers will watch them. Well, okay. >> I wouldn't have shot him if I didn't think he was going to kill me. >> Well, I have no doubt that you you were your life is I mean, >> I would never do that. I would never I know I'm just answering questions, but I can't help but feel like scared about worried about them being okay. And I just they're my everything. They're my everything. Everything. They're the only reason that if me and Daniel had been together as me as he was. I don't I mean, you know, I don't know. I walked on eggshells for them so that you know and hoping that he this this last hoping that he would get on better meds to help try to calm himself down because his fits of rage have gotten bad. >> Mhm. >> He doesn't listen to me about just walking away. I've tried talking to him about walking away. My dad had a temper problem, but it wasn't anything like that. He never never got like that. >> Mhm. He prayed and asked God to help him control his temper and and he worked on it actively. Daniel stopped doing all those things. He stopped everything was everybody else's fault. Everything was my fault. I wanted to have a family with him. I wanted to be a family be together. have a second chance at a family. >> It's reasonable. >> I love Daniel. >> Kids are here and they're safe. They're talking with our domestic violence coordinator. Her name is Shalice. So they >> therapy. >> What? I'm I'm going to talk a little bit. I specialize in a lot of child crime. So um I deal with kids on a regular basis. You're really okay. >> She is sound asleep. >> Is she >> sound asleep in the child? And they're playing with some toys. We have We have a room to specialize. >> Playing with toys. >> Okay. He's happy as long as he's got something to play with. >> Yep. They're fine. So, I'm going to go uh talk just a moment and I'll be back. Okay. >> Mhm. >> Yeah, we're good. >> Okay. Well, I I think we've got uh pretty much the basics down that we needed to get down. Um what time did you guys wake up this morning? >> I woke up way earlier than Daniel did. >> What time was that? >> Um I was I like I said, I didn't sleep well. I I I woke up several times off and on. I woke up at 7. I woke up before that at 5. I woke up again. Um it was like between 9 and 10. I was officially up. Um, I had only gotten a few hours of sleep, so I was pretty tired. So, when she went back to sleep, I went back to sleep and slept in. Um, but the kids were up and playing around then and >> about 10. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um, all the time asleep was up and I was was up and Daniel was in the bed with the door shut. >> Okay. And um um he got up later. It was between like 12:30 and 1. Yeah. >> Okay. Is that normal for him to sleep in that long? >> Um it can be if he doesn't have anything to do yet. I try to let him sleep in. >> Okay. Does he usually feel better when he when he sleeps in? >> Doesn't always. >> It's just if you wake him up, then you know you're in for a Well, he gets frustrated and it's just one last thing to set off his >> Okay. So, so tell me what he did exactly when he got up. >> Um, he got up and he went to the kitchen and then he went back into the room, shut the door, and then he got up and went to the living room or his cozy room area and then he went back in. He went back and forth off and on before all that started. He went back and forth off and on, >> which you guys had been talking >> I hadn't really talked to him until >> night before the night before. >> The night before that um >> you guys have been talking about the rim >> about about that. Yeah. And then, you know, he got mad cuz the water heater leaks or whatever and that, you know, that I guess he short changed her because of the water heater leaking, but didn't tell me. And all, you know, I mean, it's all something that he didn't tell me and then I'm supposed to fix and take care of and it's all my fault. I I don't know how to fix it. >> Was he spending the rent money on other things? >> I don't know. >> He has a car. He can come and go. I have no idea. He's He's not paying full child support either. So, I don't know. I just found that out. So, >> for his daughter, he's not. >> Uhhuh. He's not paying full amount. >> Is he working or is he >> No, he doesn't work. >> Okay. He just gets VA >> 100% disability cuz somebody helped him fill the paperwork for it. >> Okay. So, he gets the veterans benefit. Okay. >> And how much is that a month? I mean, is it enough to get by? it was if you know if if things were and and you know uh I in my old days I watched kids you know it's easy to watch kids it's a you know off and on or whatever and um his temper you know I could I could feel it kind of starting to go backwards a little bit so I stopped watching kids plus I was super pregnant and I was going to start picking watching kids again. Um, I was nervous about it a little bit, you know, that's why I talked to him about his medicine and all that stuff. But if he if if I didn't have to walk walk on the eggshell so much, then I would be it would be easier to have, you know, kids. Everybody knows I'm and they trust me with their kids. You know, I would watch kids for people, >> you know, to help out and stuff, but I backed off of that because because of his temper, and everybody knows how his temper is. His mom knows how his temper is. His mom, you know, I I talked to her more than I talked to my mom because I I don't want my mom to hate him. And you know, I talked to her and she said that, you know, that he was the same way to her growing up, that he was really mean to her. >> And he said, you know, she said, just don't let him know you're afraid, you know, but it's hard not to be afraid. It's hard not to be afraid, right? >> He gets a look in his eyes, it's he's scary. What was his main trigger? I mean, you say walking on eggshells or running. What was his main trigger? What was set him off? >> There's not really anything specific necessarily. Money was a big stress for him, which I understand that, but it didn't have to be the way it was. He didn't manage his money. >> Do you know how much he got paid by the VA? Um, I think that it was like I want to say 3,800 39 something like that. But he let me be a part of helping trying to help him with that. It's a man thing. >> He never let you deal with that at all. >> No. No. Cuz I mean I I could make money last, >> right? >> You know, but it would never work out that way, you know. There's no way that that would have worked out me trying to help him because it's his. Okay. So, but it it would have been enough and it would have been okay. >> Okay. Money was a stressor for him. What else was a stressor for him? >> He had stressed him out sometimes. You know, he only had so much patience, but he could go, you know, he could go outside >> and whatever. And I took care of him and and he didn't have to really deal with it too much, right? Okay. >> And I don't I don't mind to I don't I I I could take I could take them crying, screaming all day. I take it all day. >> Do you have any other injuries on you besides on your hands? >> I don't think so. >> Are your >> I don't think I have from him shoving me. I don't think so. >> Okay. Um he didn't did he try to hit you or he was just shoving with it the me to show him put in his forehead in my >> normally what he would do is just shove you. >> Well, that's what it's been. But, you know, I mean, I I had talked to other people about it, you know, about him being that way and they just said to be careful because you never know what it's going to take to make him snap. >> Have you ever seen completely stab? >> I don't think I've seen the worst that he can get. >> Okay. >> I think he could get worse, but I wouldn't around that. Has he has he physically abused you beyond shing? >> I mean nothing that you know left like broken bones or anything like that you know just shoving and pushing me. >> Shut and push. >> Yeah. >> Did he ever get you with a closed fist? >> No. Because he knows he knows you know that. I don't know. You would think that he would know that that would you can't you can't hide something like that. But he's been snapping more and more lately and I don't know what it would take to get worse. That's why I was thinking about leaving or resituating or separating or whatever, you know. >> And when he said he was going to kill you today that you took it seriously. >> Yeah, I took it very seriously. Do you normally have a gun on you? Do you normally carry your gun on you? >> Um, I keep it closed like with an AR, you know, I mean like right there above the refrigerator is normally where I normally keep it. But the way he had been acting the past few days, the way he' been snapping more and more lately. Me I mean when even when I was pregnant, you know, I mean, this this has been going off and on, you know, for a while. He he even shoved me, you know, back in the day. But the way that it's gotten here the past little bit, it's like Daniel checks out and it's like a demon checks in and it's not Daniel anymore in his eyes looking back at you. And it's scary. I just wanted to have it on me because of the way that he was getting and the way he was talking about killing me and [ __ ] like that. I know that. I'm sorry, but I'm upset. The stuff that he's been saying more and you know walks on eggshells too because of him, you know, and we all are starting we all had had started to feel what what it was becoming the way that he was becoming. So yeah, I had a reason to take it seriously. Okay. >> What are you Well, what he considers, you know, just normal discipline and stuff, but I just think that he takes it too far. >> What does he do? Is it physical abuse? Is it yelling? Is it shoving? >> It's going too far, but it's also emotional abuse. you know, he he he and that you know, his dad he has started, you know, he's aware of his his area and you know, he messes with it or whatever and, you know, he's gotten me and talked about how he's sick like his dad and he's gotten really, really, really mean. I mean, the stuff that he says is mean >> and I felt like it's been pushed more off on me and I've been trying to push it off on me more. I mean, like me take the brunt of it and he's let alone >> but now he's turning it, you know, on me and there's not as much holding back with him. >> Okay. Uh, I want to go over what exactly happened one more time. where he he had shoved you into a room or shoved you tell me again what happened. You you initially didn't have your gun on you, right? And then you grabbed it off the refrigerator. >> I grabbed it and it tell me what happened before you grabbed the gun. Start at that point. >> Before I grabbed the gun, he um he had already shot me once at that point. >> Okay. And he had already shoved me. I grabbed the gun and I put it in my bra just in case. >> And where where did he shove you? As in he shoved you at what part of the house? >> It was at the front of the house. Like where the the bars tools are? That was the first time that he used his body to shove me back towards the kids the kids playroom area. >> Okay. And he used his body to shove me back towards that way. And I put my gun in my bra. >> Did he see you put your gun in your bra? >> No. >> Okay. Where was he at that point? >> He had walked back towards the kitchen area and um Sorry, I'm trying to I'm shook up. It's hard. It's hard going over. I had put the gun in my bra. I had I had the gun in my bra last night and I slept with it in my bra and nothing escalated. And then I had taken it back out and I put it back in when things escalated again just just to have it on me just just to be as protection against him because I can't physically take him. Okay. He started shoving me the the the kitchen area back um where the bar stools are and I want to say I don't remember if he turned back. I I don't know. But I made sure that that it it I was ready to go just in case he come after me because the way that he had gotten I had no reason to not take him serious. >> Okay. Well, and you know him better than most people because you're obviously with him all the time and so you know him better. So keep going on what happened next. >> And then and then when he shoved me again in the in the kids he told me he the kitchen area he told me he he was going to kill me. heard that part and then he come after me in the kids area and I had put the gun up just to to stop him. And then when he kept coming after me, I fired and it didn't fire the first time. And somehow as he was trying to get it from me, I recharged and he he went like that and that's where he keeps his gun. And that's when I shot it and I dropped it. I I don't like I said I don't know how many times I shot it. I don't know any of that. >> Okay. Okay. >> I dropped it and I grabbed the kids and went outside and I called you. >> I called 911? >> Yes. >> Okay. Go talk with other officers for just a second. Just take a deep breath. Do you need anything else? >> We've got so I will be back in just a second. >> Can one of y'all take me? >> Yes, we will. as soon as we're done with this and we'll be done shortly. Okay, cuz you know I think I think we've got the full accounting for you. Okay, so I'll be back. Shila A.
