On this ride along, a woman peeks around [music] a door, an officer gets yelled at, and another gets a rose. On Saturday, April 26th, officers responded to a Shell gas station after a customer and her adult daughter had an issue with an employee. >> Get your ass back. You didn't call the police, we did. >> He actually did call the police, but he used the gas station's alarm system, which might not have been working based on his comment. >> I'm pressing the button, but the police not showing up. >> What's going on? >> My mama was in there trying to find out how to do the reward. >> Yeah, I'll come around this spot. >> How do you know why you putting other people in? Back inside the store, the officer was learning it had all started over the gas station's rewards program. >> She came, she told me to use the fuel rewards for gums. Told her the fuel rewards mom is for the gas, not for gums. >> Gum? >> Gum, yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> She start cursing me, my mom. >> Yeah. >> Told her, "Ma'am, I'm not giving you service. Leave the store, please." "No, I'm not leaving the store. Make me leave the store." Then she spit on me. She start hitting this. She all the signs she start I have videos. >> Mhm. >> I have water on the floor. She threw it all on the floor. She took one bottle from the shelf. "Just stop recording me, bitch." >> When the other officer finally pulled up, he intended to go inside to talk with his partner, but he made a comment that didn't sit right with the mother. >> How you doing? Yeah, it's a mess. >> Then when I went to take picture of the car her daughter came with her phone. Daughter on here. He took She took the water from me and I guess apparently it got on him. He then pushed my daughter down. She got back up and she hit him. >> Okay. >> Listen. I was a police officer in Israel. I was a detective. So, like, if I'm going to hit her, she will not stand up. >> I know myself. I know. >> And then you all up in her face. All I said is stop. She was going to throw the water. I grabbed it, but it was open, so I guess it got on >> I'm asking him, "Are you the manager? Are you If you're the manager, what you would have did if you had a irate customer?" Call the cops. The officers would loosen the cuffs later, but first they get her and her mother into the back of their car and then call EMS for the victim. He's got a cut under his eye. >> Inside? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Then, as they explained the arrest charge, a man showed up with a special gift. >> His eye got split under his eye. He got split. >> Thank you. >> Which means >> The problem was my ring. >> The phone Okay. All right. Well, you having the phone in your hand, that could be construed as aggravated battery. He's not charging you with aggravated battery. He's charging you with simple battery. >> That rose was likely purchased right here. This gas station actually has a bunch of stuff, like these imported snacks, ready or snacks, cappuccinos in small cups only, lots of beef jerky, and crazy good pickles. >> All right, everything's here. Both mother and daughter were charged with battery. Mom's charge is no longer in the court system, so it's likely it was dropped in its entirety. The daughter's charge stuck, though, and she'd end up pleading no contest to it. Adjudication would be withheld, and she was placed on 12 months probation. The judge also ordered her to [music] take a 15-hour online anger management course, and complete 20 hours of community service. Her probation ended last month without any violations.
