Good. I noticed that uh I knew that uh that place you were staying at over there off O'Neal was not a good place for you to be staying. No. >> So that's uh >> Yeah. You know what I'm talking about now. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> The guy got sick. >> He did? >> Yeah. >> Oh, >> yeah. He drank a lot of beer, but he's I don't know how he is now. He doesn't live there no more. >> Oh, he doesn't? >> No, he left and he went to Colorado. >> Oh, he went to Colorado. >> Okay. >> Yeah. All right, Selenia, they're going to read you something. All right. >> Okay. >> All right. So, due to past and current behavior in regards to my property, you are hereby prohibited entering all property controlled by me said prohibited said property located in Greenville, Texas. You are hereby given that your presence at Chase Bank for money and yelling at people. They're going to be in the drivethru area from here. I'll get >> if you come here again. >> Oh my god. I don't want to come here. >> So if this guy brought me but left me here. >> Okay. >> Just going to start walking, I guess. All right. So we'll give you about 5 minutes to leave their property. Their property is this whole parking lot, too. So uh if you want to go to the water or the the Burger King, that's okay. But >> okay, if you need help, just follow >> hopefully that won't be a problem cuz I did hear that she over here. >> She'll be elderly white male. >> The thing was I had no idea it was any issues. She came to my service desk and I mean she >> Hello. >> Hey, how's it going? >> Um well, >> how are you? >> Crazy lady. I don't know what her deal is. We were checking out when she first started her stuff and when we walked out, she threw that ash tray thing and hit my kid. >> Um Macy, come here. >> Turn around. You want medical attention? Are >> you guys medical attention for anything? >> No, I don't think so. But I want to make sure reports filed. I mean, charges, whatever. Like I That's not acceptable. Woo. >> What is they have the drugs? >> Yeah. >> I mean, the worker is all solid and everything. So, >> what was your Were y'all just walking by at the time that >> No, we were just walking out cuz we had checked out and we were walking out to come to the car as she threw it. I don't think she was like purposely throwing it at her. or she was just throwing it and she was in the crossfire. >> It It's not an excuse and we're by no means making an excuse. We're going to get a report filed for you, but she is suffering from severe mental issues. >> Oh, clearly. I mean, that was clear as day when we were checking out and she started screaming and my kids are like, "Uh, >> like what's going on with her?" >> Yeah. I mean, I think it freaked out everyone that was in there. Yeah. We've been working with her for quite some time to try and get her some mental health, but >> Oh, so she's well known around here. >> Yeah, she's known. She's just having some She's not from here, but she's been here for a while and she's been having some mental issues, but you know, it just sucks when you got limited resources in the city to try to help them. So, >> yeah, >> that's not my current address. We >> going to be in the drive area from county or something. >> Yeah, it's like dark green. >> Yeah. About what time is 301? Should be a elderly white male. It is about 8:00. 759. So 8:00 says 38. So 7:40. So 10 minutes ago. 20 minutes ago. >> You were exiting here on this home inform. >> Hey, tell you real quick. I'm going to go get you an affidavit. Okay. Okay. I'll be right back. >> Thank you. >> It's going to take me a second cuz that's fine. >> My unit's way over there. >> Yeah, you're fine. >> All right. Hey, you park right here. You hear me? >> All right, young lady, if you'll have a seat right there. Mom, you can move yours closer to her if you need to undetected level. Okay, so we're here today to talk about the incident that happened at Walmart uh back on November 2nd around 7:30 in the evening, right? and uh you and your family are at Walmart. Okay. So, you're at the checkout on the on the uh >> south side >> on the south side to where the pharmacy is, >> right? >> The home section. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, don't you tell me what was going on from the time that y'all check out and are leaving. Okay. It's okay. talk. It's okay. >> I told you it's fine. >> Um, we were checking out and >> what was going on while you were checking out? >> Um, a lady screamed she was going to pull out her gun. >> How'd that make you feel? >> Um, kind of scared. >> Kind of scared. Have you ever seen this lady before? Who was she arguing with? >> Um, she was just saying it in general to like I don't know to who. She was just saying it. >> Was she being very loud? >> Yes. >> How close was she to y'all? >> I'm not sure. >> I'm not sure. Okay. So, y'all are leaving. What's going on? >> Um, mom tells us to stay by her and we're going outside and then we stop to let a car pass and then that's when she throws it. >> Where'd she throw? >> The ashtray? >> Uh-huh. And it And the ashtray hit you where at >> on the back of my leg. It hit right here and then it hit up here. >> Uh-huh. Was the ashtray made out of metal or plastic or >> plastic? >> Plastic. Did she know she hit you? >> I don't know. >> Why was she Why did she throw the ashtray? Do you know what was she doing at that time? >> No, I do not know why she threw the ashtray. >> Okay. And so what happened after that? >> Uh we went to the car and sat there and waited for the police. >> Okay. And you're okay? You didn't require to go to the hospital or anything like that? >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, Miss Cohen, could you tell me from your perspective what was going on because you're actually a witness. >> Um, she we were at selfch checkout. Um, probably like in the middle of it. We weren't Well, we were closer to probably the inside than the outside. Um, and she I don't know where she came from since I wasn't paying attention. I was checking out, right? >> Um, and started screaming just in the general vicinity of selfch checkout. She wasn't really talking to a specific person, I don't think. >> Um, and she said that she was going to pull out her gun. She was going to kick someone's ass, but like everyone's looking around like, "What is going on?" >> Mhm. >> Um, there was two girls on either side of us that were together, but they were checking out separately. And the one was completely freaked out. She was like, "Let's go." She said she had a gun. I was like, "She doesn't have a gun." Like she had spandex on. You could tell she didn't have a gun. But I could get like people don't know. >> Mhm. >> She was probably 10 foot. She was not direct. She was between me and the girl beside me in front of us, but she wasn't talking to us. She was just talking >> in our direction, but she was maybe 10t in front of [clears throat] us. I mean, she was just on the other side of the selfch checkout. Um, and so the kids were very shaken. Um, I just told them like, "It's okay. They have her outside. Everything's okay. We're going to finish and then we're going to leave." >> Mhm. >> Um, and when we were leaving, I said, "Just stay by me cuz I don't know where she's at outside." Um, so they did for once. I think they were pretty shaken up, so they were actually listening. [laughter] Um, so we walked outside. We stopped before we crossed the street. Um, and that when we were standing there, right as we went to walk is when she threw I thought it was a trash. They were right there together, trash can, ashtray. Um, at first and she threw it and I turned around and like I was kind of like, wait, what just happened? And the guy ca one of the employees came over. He was like, I'm so sorry. And he picked it up. And that's when I realized like actually what it was. Mhm. >> And I looked at her and I said, "Are you okay?" And she was like, "Yeah." But I think she was just as frazzled as I was at that point. And I was like, "Let's just get to the car. Like I can't at this point." >> So we got to the car. We weren't parked very far from the front. Um, and they didn't even like they were just wanted to get in the car. They didn't even help put groceries up. They were just wanted to get in the car. Um, so they got in the car and there was a lady next to us with her kids in the car that was parked and she was like, "Oh my gosh, is your daughter okay? I just saw that happen." And I was like, "I don't I honestly I don't even know. Like she's walking, but I I don't know." And so I made her get out and I was like, "Let me see like are you okay?" And that's when she had marks on her leg and stuff already. And so I was like, "Man, I not something I want to deal with tonight." Um, but with the situation and I assumed that the police were already on their way, but I went ahead and called anyways just to make sure cuz I didn't know what was actually going on with the lady. Um, I knew she was having some kind of outburst, but other than that, I don't I didn't know. Um, >> my kids have never experienced anything like that before, >> so they were very like, "What is happening?" and Mcwell partly probably drugs but other things too I'm sure. >> Did the officer tell you about her situation or >> um he just said that she is known around Greenville. She's not from Greenville, but she's been around here for a few years and she won't stay on her meds and um there's only so much that the state has resources that they can help her with. And I was like, well, while I understand that, [clears throat] she injured my child. So, >> okay. Yes. Yes, she did. Uh, did you feel threatened >> during that time that you were coming out of the store, inside the store? >> At first when she was like first yelling and I kind of it caught me off guard and I'm pretty aware of my surroundings. So, that did catch on guard cuz I was not paying attention. I was just trying to check out and get out of there. I have high anxiety in the store anyways with them by myself. So, I tried not to go to the store by myself with three children. Um, and that night we were just running to get a couple things for dinner. Um, and so it did catch me off guard and I was like, "Okay." But like I was focused on making sure they were okay. So, I didn't worry about myself. Um, I knew they were freaked out and I did not need to show any kind of that I was in any way affected by it. I needed to just like get them home cuz they were not okay. >> Okay. You did what you had to do after that. >> You did the right thing. [cough] >> So, the only the only ones that interacted with her that you know of at that time were the store employees. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And [laughter] she didn't say anything directly to y'all? I don't think so. I mean, she was yelling all kinds of things when we were walking out. Like, I saw her out of the corner of my eye as we were walking out, so I knew exactly where she was, but I was just focused on the kids. And then, of course, I had my back to her and didn't expect that to happen. But, um, >> I don't think that she ever yelled directly like at us. She was just yelling. >> She just yelling. >> Mhm. So, her throwing the ashtray was just part of her fit or >> I honestly I don't know because she didn't have it in her hands when we walked out. She picked it up after we had walked out um and [clears throat] while we were sitting there cuz I had like turned around at one point to like make sure they were all right by me and as she was picking it up I didn't know if she was going to throw it or in our direction. I mean there was plenty of space that she could have thrown it >> if that's what she was going to do. I mean, I don't know that she sought out to throw it at her or if that's just where it landed. >> Okay. >> Um, but I don't think that she necessarily said anything directly to us. She was just yelling. >> Okay. So, did y'all ever like ever make eye contact or >> And I tried not to. >> Okay. And you didn't notice her making eye contact with you? Okay. Okay. So, this is a unfortunate thing that happened, you know, and those things happen. And like you said, you have to watch your surroundings all the time. Uh, I'm glad it wasn't worse than what it was and that you're okay. Okay, that's all I really need. >> Okay. >> Okay, >> sounds good. >> Anything y'all want to add? No. What you going to do today? go to school. >> Yeah. >> Where do you go to school at? >> Green Rock Wall. >> Rock Wall. Greenville or Rock Wall? [laughter] >> They just transferred. >> Oh, did they? >> Yeah. Your dad lives in Rock Wall. So, I'm about to move back to Rock Wall so that we could We're all in the same area. >> Mhm. >> So, >> Oh, that's good. That's good. Okay, let y'all get about your day now. >> I appreciate it, >> man. I appreciate y'all coming. I wanted to give you my card. Okay. If uh you need anything. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Think of something, just give me a call. >> Okay.
