Her family did not care. Now something happened to her, everybody want to go >> Spoiler details are in the video description, and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> This kind of conversations, like you said, they are deep. Um and and sometimes we think about just the one you know, the the people that we have talked to so far and experienced that, uh but we also have to understand the part of you and the trauma that you may have experienced also, you know, thinking about this and may not want to be able to listen to some of those things. Um so what I'd like to do is we'd like to just talk to to you just this one time. Um so if you're able to whatever it is that you can share, we'd we'd like to do that. So, um we're kind of we'll we'll just go back and forth a little bit to see what it is that you can remember. So, um do you remember when this would have happened? >> Yeah, at the house. Keiana at the house. >> And did you and Keiana move in together? >> Well, we just moved there. She just I just moved to out here. >> You moved out here from >> from Wisconsin. >> Okay. Were you guys living together in La Crosse, too? >> No. I used to go out there. So, I'll see her. >> Okay. Um so you had just moved out to Olympic Village or whatever together not that long ago. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And how were you guys getting along? >> I don't know. Our relationship was it was crazy. Cuz she was crazy herself, so >> Mhm. >> Like she was always trying to nag and stuff. Like She don't know what I'm saying. It wasn't the first time she stabbed me. The first time was probably like on the 4th of July. And her step dad had to come get me out the house and stuff. She was throwing pots and pans at me and [ __ ] Like she had an anger problem. You see what I mean? Like so everybody knew that. So Like I could do one little thing and it'll just go from good to good to bad. >> Yeah. >> It was just a bump at the same time we was working on it. Also >> Yeah. Do you remember what she was mad about on the 4th? >> Uh I gave I gave somebody a rose at the bar. >> You don't pay? >> Cuz she ain't want it cuz she was mad. So I gave it to another female. Then we got home I don't know. She started tripping. >> Yeah. >> We was drunk. So >> And she stabbed you? >> Yeah. >> With what? >> A knife. >> A kitchen knife? >> Oh, a kitchen knife. >> Mhm. Big ass kitchen knife. >> Where was that at? >> In in our house in the kitchen. >> In the apartment? Apartment in La Crosse where she used to live? >> Cuz her mama stay down the street. They came and got me. Asked me up and stuff. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Did you have to go to the hospital or anything? >> No, I ain't even go to the hospital. They just gave me like a rag and stuff. Wiped myself off. >> Yeah. >> Just put a rag on me. Like what you going to go to the hospital to do? They didn't get to ask you questions and stuff. I ain't want to get in trouble. >> Yeah. How were things going from the 4th to your last fight? >> It it wasn't violent. It it was It was cool cuz she stopped drinking cuz she was pregnant. And I stopped drinking. And then I don't know. She was on my phone. Found some females and I don't know. I went to work. Came back from work then got in a fight. >> Mhm. So she found some females in your phone, huh? That she was mad about? >> Yeah. Then I went to get drunk. Off some pills and stuff, came back home. I don't really remember that. The day was just it was I don't know, it was crazy. >> Mhm. >> He stabbed me on my arm and stuff. All these cuts and stuff. Cuz I was trying to take the knife from him and stuff. Yeah, we blacked out. >> Well, um What do you remember about when you came home that day? You came back to the apartment. You said you were you got off work. Got drunk? >> Yeah. >> Did you get drunk at your apartment or somewhere else? >> No, somewhere else. >> Do you remember where? >> I was at a friend's house. >> Which friend? >> I don't want to bring up her name and stuff. I just Sure. I don't want to bring nobody into it. Really nobody know what happened, you know, so >> Fair enough. >> Nobody know what happened. >> Okay. So, you get drunk and came back home. >> Yeah. >> Did some pills, bought some pills? What kind of pills? >> Some X pills and I think it was uh um uh What was that pill it was? uh I don't know. Oh, oh, uh Lorazepam. It's a form of X pill. Puddle Lorazepam. >> Okay. So, then what happened when you came home? >> Yeah, he was arguing. He was fighting. And she grabbed a knife and I was trying to take it from him. He was hitting me in my arm and stuff all right here and stuff. I take it from him and stuff. >> Yeah. >> Um Stuff happened after that. I don't know. >> So, like when you came home, first you guys started arguing, just yelling at each other, or what? >> You know, all that all that stuff, stuff, man. >> Yeah. Were you guys Do you remember what what was said while you guys were talking? >> Yeah, about what was in my phone. And this this and that. >> Okay. >> I told her it wasn't nothing. >> Yeah. >> She She didn't believe me, so >> Okay. So, then what happened? >> She said, "I'll stab the [ __ ] out you for lying." And I followed I stopped playing with her, and >> Mhm. >> She grabbed it. I followed her to the kitchen. She She grabbed a knife. I kept backing up. I kept backing back from her. >> She grabbed like a kitchen knife? >> Yeah. >> Where'd she get it? >> Out the drawer in the kitchen. I followed her into the kitchen. She grabbed it. >> You just grabbed it? >> She grabbed it, but I was trying to grab it from her. >> Yeah. Are we talking about like a little paring knife or a steak knife? >> It was like a little about like >> Chef's knife? >> Yeah, like probably about this big. >> Big one? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you're in the kitchen, she grabs that knife, and then what happens? >> Oh, she was swinging at me. Coming This This was the first cut. Under my above my sister name. >> Yeah. Mhm. >> This one and that one, and that one. Probably like six cuts. >> Mhm. >> [clears throat] >> I was trying to grab it from her. And then she poked you right here, somewhere. All right there and stuff. Mhm. I was trying to grab it from her and [ __ ] I just snapped after that, I don't know. Mhm. Then what happened? I don't know. I don't want to talk about it no more. Cuz I don't Is it painful to think about? And we all know how it turned out. even thought I haven't even thought about it. I'm the one to think about it. Yeah. It just happened. Out of nowhere, homes. I didn't mean to, it just happened. I don't know what the [ __ ] You just snapped. Yeah. So, things were way out of control. Sounds like you were drunk and on X. Probably if I didn't take that Oreo, like I don't know. Mhm. All that [ __ ] could have been avoided. Mhm. I think there's value to talking about what happened. Uh even though I know you don't want to. Um We all We all know and there's no turning back the clock, but it's it's important to know what happened. Um kind of leading up to it is good to know, but um there's a lot of There's a lot of reasons why it's important that we go there, even though it's painful to talk about. Um You grabbed What happened? >> Hell yeah, but it was my baby. >> Yeah. >> And then after that, tried to change, tried to do a lot. She had to work, I worked all like 12 hours a day, so she had to do nothing cuz of school. >> Mhm. >> She had to do nothing. >> Yeah. So, she's she's trying to stab you. Did you ever get the knife away from her? >> [clears throat] >> Yeah, I got away from her. >> Okay. And did she stop? >> Hell no. Then she tried to fight. >> Mhm. >> And that's when this what happened. She I didn't even hurt her. I just grabbed her. And she started shaking. I [ __ ] up. >> Yeah. Where'd you grab her? >> I grabbed her throat. >> Okay. You choked her? Okay. >> She started shaking like I couldn't even I couldn't I couldn't help her do nothing. It was I don't know. I don't know what the [ __ ] >> Yeah. After you choked her, she just There was no like helping her from >> She ain't She ain't never did that before. Well, I told you before, but it was something small, but >> Mhm. >> I told you before, like but she never did that before. This time it was different. >> Mhm. She passed out? She wake up? And what happened to the girl? >> That's what I'm not going to talk about. Yeah, but I'm not going to talk about that. And watched the video you posted telling And who Who is it you were talking to? You told her why you did that. Say your mom? Was she alive with me? >> Mhm. No, it was a friend of ours. Just a friend. >> Okay. >> I didn't even really tell her why. It was just like a little piece of something. It wasn't That wasn't what what really why. >> Mhm. >> I was just talking I was just talking to her. >> Okay. But sitting here now you wish you could take that back. >> I did. All that should have never happened. I'm going to take full responsibility. You know, I'm not going to go say here and act like, "Okay, this this and that." But >> Yeah. I appreciate that. Um You know, I feel terrible that um we can't go back and we can't make it go away, but one thing that we can do for the family members and the people that that love her. >> they say she died? >> Well, I I know the day that I think that she died. >> What day? >> What day do you think the fight happened? >> What day? >> Thursday. >> Yeah. 9 11? >> I think it was the 10th. I think Thursday was the 10th. Might have been 11. >> 9 11? 9 11? Thursday was 9 11. So Thursday was. >> Mhm. It's an awful day. But the family wants to know what happened to her. I want to know what happened to her. It's important we know what happened even though it's painful for you to say. >> I'm going to I'm going to talk to her mom, but not right now. >> Yeah. >> I know she want to hear from me, so I'm going to explain everything to her. For me. >> Mhm. >> And she already know how she is, so I'm going to go get all the tools. >> Yeah. I mean, I know I know sitting here in this room, but we can see that you're not the same person sitting here in this room right now that you were in that hotel room drunk and high and after she stabbed you. >> I'm [ __ ] up in the hotel. I ain't going to sleep since that day. I ain't been sleeping like like 4 days, I think. Yeah. >> So, after after you get the knife away from her, she's still fighting with you. She fights with you, you choke her. You've choked her before, it sounds this way you said, and she passes out. And then what was the next thing that happened? >> This is while I don't I don't even know right now. Some of the stuff was moving in my head. I don't even know. >> Yeah. What are the some of the things that you do remember? >> Basically, that's it. Pieces like pieces becoming to me and stuff. >> [snorts] >> Mhm. >> I sit back and think. Stuff becoming to me, so I don't >> What was going through your head when you saw her on the floor? >> I don't even know, man. It was all It was all messed up. It was all messed up, man. >> About her daughter, was she crying or could you hear her or >> I don't want to talk about it. >> Not at this moment. Mhm. >> I didn't want to talk about it at all. >> Yeah. but >> be aware trying to make things right. I can see that. And this is part of making things right. I know it's hard. >> Probably soon later I'll be able to talk about it all, but at this point I ain't I don't know. I'm still [ __ ] up. >> Yeah, like my partner where we here said Um it is good to kind of get it all out. I want to say one thing. Like my partner said, I want to reiterate that. You don't look to me like the same person. >> I don't need to go on all that, man. I don't I don't want to be just just want to kick I don't doing all that stuff. Man, I'm a good dude. Man, I don't be >> I'm not saying that you're not. You're a whole different person today than you were when I watched those videos. And I'll tell you why. It also takes balls to be able to take ownership for that. You you I mean you're acting like a man right now. You are being legit. And I appreciate that. You're sitting here telling me you're going to take ownership of that. And that that's a man. That takes guts to do what you're doing right now and actually sitting here and talking about it. So I don't want to minimize that. I understand the hurt that you got to have cuz nobody sits here a couple days after that happened or a week after it happened and and wants to talk about it. That's that's normal. But I I do want to add that I do believe you're a man. I I don't think you know what happened in the past happened in the past and and it's it's good that you're standing up saying I'm a man and I'm going to take ownership for it. So I appreciate that and I want to let you know that. And it sucks it sucks to talk about it and you were the family's going to have to do some healing, but you're also going to have to do some healing, but it looks like to me looking at you here that that's you're on your way to recover from that. Cuz yeah, the family has to recover, but you too. We we also have you being part of the equation that we need to you know get back to being Ray. All right, the way that everybody that some people we talked to and we know Ray. Ray's a good man. Yeah, Ray sometimes drinks and when he pops pills he's like a whole different person. >> Yeah, for real. >> So so I stopped doing that. >> I stopped doing it for a minute. I don't know I stopped I thought I should probably I stopped I stopped doing it. Like I stopped doing everything. >> Yeah. >> I mean I wasn't doing drugs. I wasn't doing nothing. Just going to work. >> Do you think that the first person I talked to that drinks, pops pills, and does whatever and then >> I blacked out. I blacked out when I do that so that's why I stopped. >> And it's and depending on how much you drinking what pills you popping that's normal. It's normal to black out sometimes and we do [ __ ] that we regret. Looking at you here, to me it feels like you legit regret the [ __ ] that happened. >> Oh hell yeah. >> Yeah, I hope you don't I I've heard that you want to kill yourself and I hope that's I mean that you don't >> No, not now. >> Not anymore? >> Not hell no. Well, I'm sober as hell now. Uh-huh. >> Yeah. That was just >> In the hotel I was ready. I was I was I was ready. I was ready. >> Yeah. >> If I wanted to kill myself I could push this bullet in. Like I really could push this bullet in and boom and go with it, you know? >> Yeah. >> But I'm not I'm not on that. I'm not >> So now you want to live? >> Yeah, I'm not like >> Good. >> Not even a little. Anybody even try to do that, you know? I'm going to get my mind right. >> Yeah, good. Do you remember taking Vegas with your phone? >> A little bit. What, in the house? >> And and you know when this went down. Not at the hotel. At your house. >> Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, I was getting out the shower. I was cleaning myself up. I had blood and stuff all over me. I smelled like liquor and all that stuff so I was >> And before that there's you also took some videos when you were at home. >> Yeah. You know, in the bathroom. >> Before that. Keonna still had some hair on her and things like that. Do you remember that? >> Some hair? >> Yeah, I think she had a wig or she had something on her. >> Okay. >> She had a weave or something? We haven't seen him. She had like a weave or something? >> Nope. I don't even remember that. >> Yeah. Yeah, and I'm only I only know what I see in the videos cuz you you took a lot of videos. [clears throat] Um so I've seen a lot of those and um >> If I see something old, I don't know. >> They're time stamped, so it To me, it looks like you would have been committed, but maybe I could be wrong. >> Like like I can grab something out for like a memory and like you post something or it'll it'll have that date where it won't have a date that what it was from back there. >> Yeah, some of these videos weren't you didn't even post all the videos. You only posted a couple of videos. There were more on your phone that you didn't make public. >> She had a wig on? >> Look like it. >> Or a scarf. >> If it was a scarf, I guess I have to go back and >> It probably was a scarf, I don't know. >> So you said you there are some things you want to share with the family. >> Yeah, when I talk to them, okay. >> Um there may not be a chance that you you ever get to talk to them. They may not ever want to ever want to talk to you. You probably understand that, right? Um but they would like to hear it from us. Um they asked us. They've they've called. They talked to me. They want to at least I'm sure they'll hear it from you, too, if if they at least kind of get a some information. But if they're asking me, "What did Ray say? What did Ray say? What did Ray say?" What I mean, 24/7, "What did Ray say?" Um and I said I'm going to I'm going to talk to Ray. I think got >> number. I got their number. They they they have jail calls they going to know it's me and they going to pick up. >> Well, I'm going to still let them hear what I got myself into. >> You remember coming out of that So, I remember I haven't seen as many videos as my partner, but I saw the one of you coming out the shower. You said you were bleeding? >> Yes, she was I had cut marks and stuff on me. >> From her cutting you with the knife? That's what >> Yeah. >> Did you have blood on you from anything else? >> No, uh-uh. >> Okay. But, you were trying to get the liquor up and stuff? >> Yeah, I was I saw blood real quick. >> Okay. >> Only a few people know what happened and what was going on. >> Yeah. You had told a couple of your friends, sounds like. >> Yeah, they was on the They was on the phone on FaceTime. >> Mhm. Yeah. When you got out of the shower, you remember where K alone was? >> Yeah, the back door still. >> Mhm. Yeah. So, you remember the video when you got out the shower, you said? >> I No, I was No, they don't know I was in the shower. Um, I was in the bathroom. >> I don't remember if it's one video or two videos that I saw. There's one where combing your hair, you just got out. >> Yeah, that was it. That's the one that I was in the bathroom in. I don't know about the other videos, but So, how much time do you think you'll be in life? >> I don't know. I'm not going to I'm not going to [ __ ] you. I feel I I If you haven't noticed, I'm not going to [ __ ] you, right? I honestly do not know. >> Are they going to come at me with a bill or anything? >> That would be so um some of the things that I'm going to do is once we're done talking here, um I will go talk to the prosecutor and let him know kind of what you told me that you know you're going to you know you're going to own up to it. Um but you're owning up to it right now. I mean you just you know you lied out of your ass. >> Um and not even that. Like I probably got a lot of information that y'all probably won't know or some other stuff, you know? Like I'm going to just depend on what we're talking about. You know? >> Mhm. >> And see who I can talk to about that. All type of stuff, you know? >> Yeah. >> I think the main thing I know for a fact that the prosecutor is going to want to know is about the little girl. I mean we know we know most of it. I have a lot of videos so we know most of what happened with uh Keona and that. Um you know, but the main thing that that people are most wondering about it, you know, is about the little girl. And you know, we have the videos. We obviously know what you said on video and things like that. Um but you were high. You were high in those videos. You were [ __ ] up. So I I don't really want to take some of those things you said. Um I just want to hear from you why you're owning up to it and we're sitting here face-to-face. >> With the little girl, that happened a long time ago. I don't [ __ ] know. I don't remember doing it to be honest. >> I think you do. Um I think you do. I think it's hard to talk about. I think you I mean you remember what you did with Keona. And you remember what Keona did to you. Um it's it's >> I don't remember the little girl. >> dark place you don't want to go, but um and I'm sure it it uh wasn't something that happened for very long. But >> [clears throat] >> that darkness, that dark place, that's what we need to know about, too. Um we can't gloss over that. >> [snorts] >> I don't want to talk about it right now. Probably in the long run. We'll see. Yeah. >> And you'll tell me about Kiana. So you you had choked her once before you said. >> Yeah, it was like a little choke. That was when she stabbed me in the kitchen and then at her old house. >> Okay. It's say it's Mimi, right? I'm getting that right? The other girl's name? What? What's her name? >> Miyana. >> Yeah, what do what do you call you got she got a nickname? She got Miyana? Miyana? Um Did she suffer? Or was it quick? >> I don't want to talk about her. Let me see. She didn't do nothing. So I don't want to talk about her right now. >> Well, we know she didn't do nothing. What I have heard is that >> I wanted her to be with her mom. That's it. >> You wanted her Okay. I wasn't quite clear if you said that she didn't have a mom. And she wanted to be [ __ ] in life is what I >> Yeah, I wanted her to be with her mom. She didn't have She wouldn't go have me or her mom. So I wanted her to be with her mom. >> Mhm. >> That's all I want to talk about. >> Well, what I So I did see her. I don't know if you know this. I went to the scene. I I got all this information. Um they were like zero injuries on her. So it's not like you were beating you weren't hitting her. Um >> No, uh-uh. I didn't I didn't harm her. I didn't I didn't even hit Kiana. So why would I do that to her? Plus that was my baby. So I wouldn't have you know go I wouldn't puzzle her or You feel me? I wouldn't go beat her. No. That's all I want to talk about. in. >> When you say you wanted her to be with Kiana, you mean you killed her? >> I'm just saying she she wanted to be with her mama. She was like, "I rather her to be with her mama." >> And her mama was dead? >> I'm not saying I killed anybody, but I'm just saying. >> Why not? >> Hm? >> Why not? >> Why not what? >> Why aren't you going to say that? We already know what happened. >> You don't know somebody else could have done it. You feel me? Somebody else could have did that. >> How do you know that? Do you remember how how I how we talked earlier and I told you how impressed I am that you're actually able to sit here and speak the truth, right? And you're owning up to it. >> Mhm. >> Um I know you didn't do it. You know you did it. I'm videoing. It's in your phone. It's in your messages. >> She's not in my video. Baby's not in my video. >> Mhm. >> She's not in my She's not in there. If you could show me a If you could show me a video with her in there, then you we could talk about something, but she's not in there. >> Sounds like you love my mom. >> Yeah, so she's not in there. Kiani is. That's the only person. Ain't nobody killing the baby in there. Cuz she's not. >> I think you were trying to do her a favor. You've seen people go in life without parents. You know how [ __ ] that can be. I'm not saying I agree with you, and you're probably thinking back, [ __ ] you probably don't agree with that, either. But I can understand what you were thinking at the time. >> Yeah. >> Are your parents involved with your life? >> Mhm. What did he did? >> What about all the people that you know that grew up with other parents? You know [ __ ] It's good I have that space to be able to [ __ ] So I get that. I get all that. But I just want to hear it from you. >> I want to talk about it another time. >> I want to talk about it another time. Don't get me wrong. You know what though? I don't know if we can. Um We're sitting down here right now. This is kind of This is the time. Um >> No, that's another time. I'll talk to my lawyer and stuff. But I told I I'll talk about this little stuff, you know, it ain't but other stuff. But that they they got to come with a good deal. A deal that I can't refuse. Plus what else I can I got other stuff on the table. So >> Mhm. >> I got other stuff on the table. >> Okay. >> [clears throat] >> I don't know if I heard you right. I want to make sure I heard you right. So you want to talk to your lawyer before you talk about my money, but you're still good with talking about Keana and all that stuff. Is that what you're saying? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So we're still okay to talk. You you know >> Ain't nothing else to talk about with my arm with with Keana. I can say everything. So Everything I can remember. >> You mind if I snap some pictures of your arm where she cut you? >> Yeah, no ma'am. >> Let me see if you have a mark if that was them or if maybe it was. >> No. Well, we'll take some more. >> They just did No, I didn't know. They didn't They didn't nobody do nothing. >> Show me. >> Right there. Right there. That one, that one, and that one. All of them. Down there? >> Yeah. >> Anything on your other arm? >> No, it was just a slip poke thing but I don't think it was nothing. >> Like this? >> Yeah. >> A bandage, that's a bullet hole? >> Yeah, it's a bullet hole. >> You don't have to show me. You have any injuries anywhere else once he poked you? >> No. >> So, where did you go after this happened? >> That really don't even matter. I just It's all I just wanted to talk about Keon and that was it. You know? What else Whatever I did after that don't have nothing to do with with this, you know? >> Mhm. >> Me going probably going to get something to eat don't have nothing to do with this or going over there that don't have nothing to do with nothing, so I want to stay on stuff I want to stay focused. >> Yeah. So, you just want to accept responsibility for Keon. >> Yeah. >> Nobody else. >> So after Kiana passed out, you said you were trying to help her. Yeah. Um how come you didn't call an ambulance or anything? >> I was at home. No, I was tripping. >> Yeah. Just afraid of getting in trouble or >> Yeah. >> Okay. I mean some of the videos it it looked like you were still pretty angry after she had died. >> Hell yeah. Cuz when I got in the shower room she like she was still like well, I don't remember. I remember her moving and stuff and I was trying to help her but I didn't [ __ ] wasn't working. >> What did you do to try and help her? >> Like I was blowing in her mouth like trying to put water on her face. [ __ ] wasn't working. >> Hardy, do you know we have that video that you talked about? >> Yeah, that video was nothing. That's probably like a 1-minute video of 20 30-second video. Her and me just talking stuff at the beginning or something. Yeah, I didn't say nothing about what I was doing after that or before that. That video was only like nothing at all. Video just me talk talking [ __ ] That's it. All you got to do is just die in it. Yeah, that that was just talking [ __ ] I ain't [ __ ] Die. >> [ __ ] look at her eyes popping out. >> Yeah, then after that that's when I started to help her. Like I said, she wasn't she was still moving. >> And you notice something about her pissing herself? >> She been did that. >> When did that happen? >> That's when I first choked her. She been did that. But when I was talking I was talking [ __ ] she was still moving. You feel me? >> Mhm. >> And then I got off the phone then that's when I started trying to help her. Like I was talking [ __ ] on her. Like Everything I'm saying everything I'm saying I ain't stuff I was saying on on video. You feel me? >> Yeah. >> Everything I said from saying down was everything I said on video. Even on live I was saying. You feel me? So there's really nothing So nothing new to even talk about. >> You when we talk about So if she you you and her are fighting she's coming after you and you choked her. Uh describe how you choked her. One hand, two hands, get her in a headlock, what happened? >> Everything I'm saying don't even matter till I go to trial and till I go court and all that stuff. I just want to let y'all know some stuff. That's it. >> Mhm. >> I know what to say and what not to say, so I'm not going to put myself in a predicament or a situation where you know I'm going to say some stuff where I should have my lawyer right here. Oh, I'm going to just say what y'all I know what y'all said in the video. I I know what I said in the video, so I'm going to Whatever I said in the video, I can say it again right here. I don't mean no harm to me or somebody else to say what I said in the video or what I did, you know? I know what I did. And other pieces, you know? >> Yeah. >> But there's other stuff y'all don't even know what I did or this this and that, you know? Now I'm not going to say all that right now. >> You want to talk about that later? >> Yeah. >> You want to give the family closure? >> Yeah. >> That's definitely something we're never going to not want. I mean, we're we're going to want to know everything at some point. >> Yeah, this is >> With your lawyer present later sometime is fine, but >> Yeah. Y'all can't get everything right now, you know? >> Yeah. >> It's still coming back to me, you know? I can't I don't know. >> Mhm. Is there any other girl that you have ever choked that you passed out? >> I don't know. >> No. >> I've choked but not passed out. >> Tell me about another girl you choked. >> I don't know. They don't have nothing to do with this. I don't want to talk about nobody that had nothing to do with this. >> Okay. >> You know? >> Yeah, that's fine. You don't have to answer any of my questions if you decide you don't want to. >> You don't have nothing to do with that. It's just don't have nothing to do with this. Don't nobody else probably don't have nothing to do with this. Past relationships don't have nothing to do with this. >> Yeah. You just want to focus on that one night. >> Yeah. I'm I'm not going to bring her into it. They don't have nothing to do with this. >> Yeah. Had you guys talked about uh splitting up, moving away, anything like that? >> No. No. >> No. >> She hadn't talked about leaving you? >> For what? No. >> Or you hadn't talked about throwing her out of the apartment? >> Hell no. >> You guys were going to keep living together? >> like we probably like talk stuff like oh I'm finna leave. Like she'll like go to her like her her stepmom crib. Just to move over there, you know, go kick it with them. That's it, but We weren't leaving. No, we had a whole baby on the way. What we going to leave for? We didn't we didn't have no problems like that. So. >> So that was your baby? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We've been together for for a minute now. Like we planned on having a baby. >> Mhm. >> We planned that. We planned on moving together. She went to her auntie there and went to the baby shower and everything. Like >> So on and record? >> Yeah. >> So you just want to talk about that one fight. How did things go from her grabbing a knife in the kitchen to the end of the fight being in the bathroom? Or how did she get into the bathroom? >> Um that's where it happened at. >> You guys just kept fighting in the bathroom? >> Yeah, [clears throat] we went from the kitchen to the bathroom. And the bedroom, the bedroom is right there. >> Mhm. >> I think that's all I have to say at this point. We have nothing to talk about. You can >> I think you've shared enough. >> Yeah. I'll talk to y'all some other time. >> So, when would be a better time for us to reach out to you? >> I'll reach out to y'all. >> So, you'll let you'll talk to us and let us know when we can talk to you again? Okay. >> Can you pass somebody that can help me with my case? Like that um That will just help me with my case real quick. >> What case are you talking about? This or you talking about something else? >> Talking about with everything. >> So, there's stuff you may want to talk to to somebody else about, you said? >> Yeah. That's all. That's all like help me with it. Like that I I I had a I had a messed up childhood, you know. I I was failed as I was when I was young. I had like mental problems, all that type of stuff. Anger issues, all that stuff. >> Mhm. Well, you got out of prison not too long ago before this happened, right? When was the last time you were in prison? >> 6 months ago. >> Do you feel like you still needed some help? >> And I always go to jail. They don't They don't give me no help. They send me straight to jail. And they don't ever send me to like no like mental social lives or go get help for for this and that. >> So, you want help? >> I always wanted to help with my with my anger and my disability. I ain't never got help for nothing. >> What about right now? So, you feel like you want to help right now? >> Hell yeah. And the way they never they they always put me in jail. So my mom told me when I get my lawyer to have my lawyer call her. She'll get them the information that I need and all that stuff that to help me. They always want to put me in jail and [ __ ] They ain't never Okay, we'll go see you to this place. Go get help with your anger, this, this, and that. Like I was [ __ ] up in the head, but [ __ ] They ain't never Like my psyche eval, they ain't never really help me out with that [ __ ] They try to put me on medication, don't do anything. Every little case I get, [ __ ] they wash my ass up. And they And they know I got a psyche eval. >> So um I'll share with my partners and I'll share with you, too. Um You [ __ ] up. I agree. You [ __ ] up. You know you [ __ ] up. You feel bad about it. Um but I also feel like maybe there's more the system should have done to help you. >> I'm going to tell you that like system could have helped me out a whole bunch of ways, man. They ain't do [ __ ] Wash my ass up. Since I was a kid, since I was eight. I've been having these problems since I was eight. You can look that up. >> No, I'm not I'm not I wasn't told about you. I think you're being straight up with me. I mean I You told me there are things you do remember you just want to talk about. I respect that. You said I ate. Just the fact that you're willing to come up here, sit up like a man, and and tell us you're not telling us everything and that's fine. I understand that. Um like I said, a lot of it is you hurt. You don't hurt. You got to deal with that, too. Right? Partners have that darkness. That shit's going to eat at you. You got to have to live with that at some point. How you go about that? You you get to choose that. You have You still have some control over what's going on. So, just Yeah. So, best thing I can do is find somebody that just let's go sit down and listen to me and try to help me. Mhm. You know we're definitely listening. But yeah, you can listen, but the helping part Mhm. You know, but the first step is admitting that you have a problem, and you are. You're not You're not denying it. You're not saying [ __ ] didn't happen. You want me You're the wrong person. You're sitting here. Straight up saying [ __ ] Yeah. I mean, you killed Keona. Did I get that right? That's what you're telling me. You don't want to talk about that little girl, but we're talking about Keona. You killed Keona. >> I said I killed her. She probably could have killed herself. But I'm just saying I was I'm telling them to say it. I'm just saying I don't want to say the killing part. But I'm just saying >> Cuz that part is the [ __ ] part that sucks. Ain't nobody want to say that. Ain't nobody want to say that. Who Who Who would want to talk about that and say that? Nobody. It's a horrible thing to say. Looking at you here, you don't look like a person that wants to talk about horrible things, and I get that. But we know that's what happened. I know that's what happened. I got no doubt in my mind. You know that's what happened. You just don't want to talk about it right now. I get that. Do you feel responsible for her death? >> Yes, I do. >> Do you feel like the stuff that you did >> You caused it. You caused it. >> Like you don't want to say killed cuz that's a [ __ ] word to [ __ ] say. >> I didn't kill her. >> But you did things that caused her death. And that shit's tough to deal with. You loved that woman? I'm not saying you didn't. Like I told you, just like I saw a bunch of videos in your phone, I also saw a lot of other good pictures. You cared about her. [ __ ] just got out of control. You got anger issues, system. Fact is, you overcame to time. >> I mean, we both have [ __ ] up issues. >> Sounds like it. You both have [ __ ] up issues. >> Sh- She's always want to play with knives, man. Like, if she would never did that [ __ ] I don't know, man. >> You have a lot of pain. You have a lot of pain. I want to understand. Tell me about her neck. When you were taking videos of her, what do you remember about her neck? >> I saw the cord around it. >> You told me about it. I don't I ain't I don't know if I could have told you I'm going to shoot you straight, and I don't want to put words in your mouth that you haven't said or have led me to believe that that's what happened. So, sure, tell me about the cord. >> And I put that on after That was after she was gone. >> How come? >> To make it seem like I strangled her. But I didn't. That was after She was way gone. >> You put that on after you took it off? Just to throw us off the track or >> Yeah. I That That didn't That didn't do nothing. I just forgot to take it off. All right. >> So, I want to make sure that I don't misunderstand what you said before. I want to make sure I got this right. Um you understand you don't have to answer this question if you don't want to or if you want your attorney before you talk about it. I don't I don't care. That's fine and there's nothing wrong with that, but um but I got to know about that little girl. >> I want to talk to my attorney. >> Okay. >> I could have been dead. You feel me? >> Mhm. >> Ain't nobody looking at that. I ain't I could have been dead. She could have been stabbing the [ __ ] out of me. Like she could have stabbed me in my chest. Like but at the end of the day oh I'm the bad guy saving my life or doing this and doing that. Like I don't know. >> Yeah, no I and I can see that. But then we've got the other side. >> Well, well, well, well, well, when she stabbed me the first time her whole family knew. Her family ain't care. Her family How many her her family ain't care? She stabbed the [ __ ] out of me. She Man ain't ain't nobody care. Her family did not care. Now something happen to her everybody want oh come on man. What What What happened when when she stabbed me on the 4th of July? They ain't Nobody care. Ain't nobody shed no tears. They weren't crying. They weren't worried about me. This time when she stabbed me like seven, eight times they weren't they they they they they ain't care about they ain't care about that. That's the crazy part. But at the same time I'm being a man about this. So I don't know. >> So she got that kitchen knife out of the drawer, and then you got the knife away from her. Where'd the knife go? Where'd you put it? >> I That's That's a good one with me. >> Where? >> It was blood everywhere on it. >> Your blood? >> Yeah, I took it with I took it with me after I was in the loft. >> Where'd it end up? >> I I threw it somewhere. I don't even remember. I was outside at the house and I threw it somewhere. >> Looked to me like she had a little nail file in her hand. >> A what? >> Like a little nail file or something in her hand? She using that to try and cut you? >> No. No, she didn't. That ain't going to cut nothing. What's a nail file? You talking about when she do her nails? >> Mhm. Does she normally just keep that in her pants or >> In her pants? >> Mhm. She probably was doing her nails. I don't >> You know the kind that's like metal and it comes to a point and it's >> was doing her nails. I don't know. >> Well, when you guys were fighting, she wasn't doing her nails. So, was she using that to protect to to stab you or what? >> have nothing in her hand. She didn't have no nail file in her hand. She didn't have nothing in her hand. What you talking about? Was she using them before? >> Mhm. >> No, she didn't have nothing in her hand. >> She didn't use that to try and cut you? >> No, she didn't That actually >> That's not what cut your arms. >> No, that's not even sharp enough to even cut. A nail file? No. She didn't The nail file fell off the sink while we were using that fighting but no, she didn't have nothing in her hand while we were in the bathroom. You can You can put You can run that through the lab. Ain't no blood on it. >> Okay. Thank you for at least sharing some of what happened. [clears throat] >> I got videos. I got videos on my phone. Oh, try to stab me, bite me, all type of stuff, fight me, all type of [ __ ] I got so much so much stuff. You you you ain't going to be able to find it cuz it's it's hidden somewhere. Like I got like over 5,000 videos on there. I got stuff on my phone. Looking at that phone now. >> I got a whole violent You feel me? >> I got My mommy used to have videos. I'm going to bring that down. I was in there to say what I'm going to bring all of all of that to trial. Like all the stuff she did did to me. I ain't say nothing. You feel me? Like everything. And and her family know about this [ __ ] But ain't nobody care. I was getting a bruise every day, literally. >> But and I can understand that. I think the hard part that's going to be yours going to be you know what I'm talking You know what I'm talking about. >> Mhm. >> That's that's that's really where the where I mean yeah, sure what I'm looking at on that [ __ ] that was horrible shouldn't have happened. It just got heated and and things got out of control. But he's a 2-year-old. That's That's really what's going to cause some problems. >> I know. >> Renard Carter was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder of an unborn child.
