She was like had this like violated type feeling. You know what I mean? Like and then like she wasn't really making like a lot of sense of what she was saying and then I'm [clears throat] freaked out because >> On January 12th, 2024 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Christopher Foyles was brought in for questioning in connection with the death of Megan Stedman who had died as a result of a stabbing homicide. Spoiler details are in the video description and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> With your intelligence and it sounds like you've got some skill sets. >> Mhm. >> You know, what leads you driving around in an RV? >> Well, I got I just like my son died in a car accident. >> Oh, man. I'm sorry [snorts] to hear that. >> And I like I I got diagnosed with bipolar in like 2006 but like I've had a lot of like like medication changes and like I don't do well with them. Like they they made me go crazy. Like they made me like hear voices and like think that it like I'm doing God's work and all this kind of crazy stuff and then I went through a one in 2008 when I was married and uh that was the first time it ever happened and it was because I was put on some combination medication that like I I mean I felt great. Felt awesome, but I was just being completely reckless. Like I was like we had I had like inherited money and like we had like 100 and some thousand dollars in the bank and I was just like giving it away and like spending it and just doing like whatever because I had all these great ideas to like make money and do things and then like they're all good and like so I was like, "Oh, it doesn't matter. I'm going to have money and then it's going to be okay." And then before I knew it, like, you know, eventually it's like what goes up must come down, you know what I mean? And then I ended up like [ __ ] they hospitalized me and I ended up like I >> [snorts] >> I thought of this always being like chased by this demon and I like ran in my car and I jumped it like they said it went 30 ft in the 30 ft out and 10 ft in the air. Like actually I hit a median going like 90 or something like that. And they hospitalized me for that. And then um I like been in and out of school like a few times. Like at first I was going for accounting and finance, but I got in trouble like the very first time for selling weed when I was like when I was 19 years old. So it was like 2001, so I'm basically like fighting against you know, the employment market and felonies for a really long time. Like and like even like you know, to get my job at the Bureau of Reclamation, like I had to get like a special like hiring preference and like doctor's approval and like show how like I from time I got diagnosed and got medicated the differences happened. And um since like every time they do a medication change, I have problem, you know? And um I ended up having it again like from the antidepressant or something in 2000 and so I was doing really really good for from like 2008 until 2000 16. Like I I a DUI, but that was like the only like trouble I got into and like that >> [snorts] >> you know, besides that so I've been I got my degree and I work you know, work and work my way up and you know, got this good job and and bought a nice house, you know, I got good good credit everything and then I went through I started she recognized it cuz my ex-wife had been through the first one before so she was like, you know, I think that you're going into like one of those manic phases or whatever >> So your ex-wife like recognized it? >> Yeah. And she she got me hospitalized and then when I'm in like that mindset like I'm just like I don't want to be hospitalized like you know what I mean? Like I'm not interested in being there like I'm happy home like doing great like leave me alone, you know, and so like got out of there like I convinced them to let me go after a couple days and then she like got me put back in there and then I like convinced them to let me out again and then I just like finally told her like I'm done like cuz I was still doing good like I was still doing good at work I was still like everything was going fine but I was just like over the top like too much to handle you know what I mean? Like like a manic state where I was just talking talking so fast and it's like it's like you're on meth is what it is like you know what I >> Tons of energy. >> Yeah. >> High highs and >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so I ended up leaving her and then before we got divorced that was in 2018 like and now I was with this other girl that I actually like met at this strip club like cuz I had like wasn't allowed to go to the strip club when I was married so I was like where I went and not many people are so I got and I met it wasn't a stripper but she had stripped before she was the bartender and uh I was with her and then um I was drink I was like on, you know, I was had just still having like the manic highs that were lasting like a long time. Like, it started from like March and by like September it was still going. And, um I was drinking like all the time just to keep myself calm. >> Yeah. >> Like, because it was the only thing like the only way I could sleep cuz I would go days without sleeping like without like no drugs at all. Just my normal like medication. And my medication wasn't even it wasn't even a stimulant. It was just an antidepressant. It wasn't And, um so and I would so I'd still go days and days without sleeping, but I felt so like high and jittery sometimes I would just like want to like drink and it would level me out, you know? >> Mhm. >> And so I ended up finally like getting pulled over a couple of like I got two DUIs in 3 days. And, um >> [clears throat] >> lost my job. And, uh I was like going to start my own company and all this other stuff. And then so that happened and then like while I was in jail, like I found out that my son died in a car accident. >> Sorry to hear that. >> Yeah, it was pretty rough. And he was completely sober. And just like just fell asleep at the wheel and went off the road. And from that point on like I had pretty much just I lost it, man. I tried to commit suicide like five other times. Um I And like the one the last time I tried was I tried to OD on heroin, which I had never um I had [clears throat] done it before, but I like had done heroin before, but it was only for like like a month when I was like and it wasn't even heroin, it was Oxycontin. It was when I it was like in 2002. Like, I had like absconded from probation and know, I was like staying in a house and and just ended up like, you know, [ __ ] my life cuz I thought I was going to prison and then I was like doing that and getting high. And so, uh uh I tried to OD on heroin. Like, I filled up like two full rigs, like, all the way full. I was like I just got them both at [snorts] the time and pulled the ties and I like >> Wow. >> woke up and I was like fine. I mean, I wasn't fine. Like, my my mouth was like so dry I couldn't even drink water. Like, I had to like >> Were you shocked when you woke up, though? >> Like, how many hours later? >> I don't know because I I got a hotel room and deliberately for 3 days and put the no the no the no disturb sign up. And then there wasn't a clock in the room. >> Mhm. >> And I wasn't exactly like keeping track of time. >> Yeah, exactly. >> And I had all the blinds drawn and everything, you know, so it was dark. And I woke up and it was dark, so I don't know. Um And then from that point, like, I just started doing heroin for a while. And then I was like shooting up meth and shooting up heroin. Like, not that much meth, but mostly like heroin and then some meth in there just like was just balancing it out, you know what I mean? It was kind of just the way it was and uh that did not go well. Um It only took like a couple months. Like, I got I had I had like 30, 40 thousand dollars saved at that point and it was like everybody like robbed me in the streets in Spokane. Like, people were stealing stuff from me. Everything was going bad and then I was like selling it and and then I was staying up tons of time, too. And then I ended up like someone was like I I still don't know like what was totally real and what was not because it was everything seemed real, you know, what I mean? And so it was like I thought someone was outside my door and was cocking a gun and was going to come and shoot me. And like people had already robbed me and people had already done stuff. So I was like pretty convinced. Well, I said, "Well, this is what I'm going to I'm going to start a fire and then I'll be able to they'll go away and then I'll put it out cuz I had like a big bucket of water and a fire extinguisher in there. Well, I was so stupid and high like I just jumped out the window. So I like burned all my own stuff up and then like I left with like literally like one shoe and like a t-shirt and sweatpants in like the middle of winter. It was like November and jumped out the window and jumped off the roof and and then I ended up like basically being homeless for like a little bit and like wandering around and then cuz I thought my roommate was a devil and all this stuff and then um I ended up falling asleep in a church. Like the door was unlocked actually, but then I like went in there and was like rummaging through stuff and like thought this was going to be like this refugee home or something like that. Yeah, that makes sense. I mean and then I don't know, passing out in there and then I woke up to just being in handcuffs and like dragged me out of there. I guess I like kicked the officer in the face in his sleep. I didn't even know it. So I like got charged with assault on a police officer for cuz I didn't even know like that I had, you know, like I was completely out of sleep when it happened like and uh >> [sighs] >> and then I got charged with burglary like commercial burglary because I was in that building. Like I like I broke something. So like they charged they charged me with burglary and I didn't steal anything. I just broke something. And then um I got charged with arson for >> The fire? >> For my own stuff. And then uh >> Did you ever get diagnosed with anything other than bipolar? >> Um well, there's they're still trying to figure out if I'm like schizophrenic, ADHD, like what all it is, but it's not like a super straightforward diagnosis, you know what I mean? Like they don't have something like I've heard they have newer tests, but it's not like they take a blood test and they're like, "Oh, you're this." You know what I mean? So, it's like the testing isn't really >> When's the last time you were tested? >> Um so, um >> It's been a while. >> Mhm. >> When was the last time you took some medication for this stuff? >> Well, last night, but I hadn't taken it for a long time before that. >> Okay. What medications do you take? >> Um well, I was on Suboxone. For the It's cuz I've been on that ever since I quit doing heroin. I've been clean for like like a while now, like I had a couple times where I went back and like I knew I was like going to just do it for a little bit and then >> Mhm. >> and then stop, but um So, but it's been like 3 years since I've been taking I've been taking Suboxone for since 2020, so 4 years, I guess. Um >> You take anything for bipolar? >> Yes, I take Seroquel. >> Seroquel? >> And then um Lexapro. >> Lexapro? >> And um I had taken uh Buspar, Buspirone for I think it's >> I think I know what you're talking about. >> One's cuz it Yeah, it's Bu- Bus- It's like Buspirone, Busparone or something. >> Yeah, yeah. >> Um And then they had tried me on some other stuff, but those were like those are the ones that I was like consistently been taking, but then like I want I wanted to when I went to jail in Montana, like they like weren't giving me my meds, and so I was like just up and down up and down, you know? I got out this last time, and then after this happened, I just I don't know. I just I'm just drinking. >> How much have you been drinking, do you think? >> I don't know. I can't tell. I don't know. Like I was sometimes I would go through like half a gallon in a day. >> Okay. >> And so Yeah, so I'm going to start feeling that pretty soon, too. And I just ran out of Suboxone yesterday, and so >> Can you tell us about your relationship with Megan? >> Yeah. Can we go smoke? >> I'll see you get into that start into that. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, let me go grab him real quick. Just Just sit tight, and then I'll be right back. You said these smaller rooms just They just suck. >> I like your boots. >> Thanks, man. >> Yeah. >> These are my uh When I'm going to be out if I think I'm going to be outside a lot, >> Mhm. >> I throw these on. >> All right, going to go get him real quick. >> I like your car, but >> Have you seen those videos of those things exploding? >> Couple. >> It's insane, huh? >> So they um Patriots already got a coach. >> Was it Vrabel? >> No. No, it's like some assistant. >> Oh, no way. >> Some like linebacker assistant. >> Do you Do you like football? >> Mhm. >> What's your team? >> Uh I'm 49ers. >> Oof. >> So you're rooting for a Super Bowl, huh? >> Uh-huh. I'm hoping so. >> We're both Chargers fans, so we're pretty depressed right now. >> One of my best friends lives in San Diego, so yeah. >> That's very tough. >> He was a Cowboys fan first, and then I >> Yeah. >> I got to go 49ers and the Broncos and the Seahawks. >> I actually grew up a 49ers fan, um, but then when I got older and moved to California, I became a Chargers fan. Which has been really sad ever since. >> I remember [clears throat] when they had that really They had a really good running back for a while. >> LaDainian Tomlinson. >> They had a good one now. He just He's not so good anymore. >> Yeah, they wear out quick. >> They do. They do. >> They take a lot of >> It's They's just getting Unless your >> name's Christian McCaffrey. >> That guy's just unbelievable. >> I I've seen him a little bit, but >> He's on your team, man. He's the reason why they're doing so good. And that defense. >> Like I just I really haven't watched that much this year, you know. >> Well, you got a lot going on, so >> [clears throat] >> Yeah. I know. I only watched like two of their games and it was like when I was in jail. >> Well, they may be in the Super Bowl this year, so keep that in mind, right? And then tell you know, tell us about uh Megan >> How do you meet her? >> Um, at work. >> What work? >> Um, I was working at Sodexo. >> All right. >> I ended up like after >> [sighs] >> I don't know how much of history you want, but um >> Whatever you want to share, man. >> Well, so this I had worked there before. I had gotten out of jail for I went back for a DUI probation violation. >> Mhm. >> [clears throat] >> And it was it was old, but um, I had I got released when I got to the arson charge. Like and it was in Spokane, so like and then like they counted it as like first time felony, so I only did like 6 months or something like 5 and 1/2. And so it wasn't even like that bad, but but then I was supposed to get transported, but it was COVID, so they just let me out. And then I didn't go take care of it cuz I was like working and trying to save money and I was like and this lady over there was like she was pretty hardcore, so I was like she's going to give me like 9 months like she [snorts] cuz they can give you like a year and they weren't going to count any of the time that I had. Because it like I couldn't get released from Spokane on bail because I had a hold out of another county. And so I ended up like I wouldn't even like have played guilty to those charges because like I mean I was I was only trying to defend myself when I lit my room on fire and it was all my own stuff. Like I don't know how you get arson for lighting your own stuff on fire, but >> You said you were asleep on the other stuff, right? >> Yeah, and then and then the door was open in the church. Like the most I think I should have got was like a breaking and entering. Like I went in there cuz I was cold and the door wasn't locked and it was church, so I went in there. But anyway, um and I went back to there and then I uh I got kept getting transported like back and forth between Spokane and and uh Ellensburg because I had the warrant there. And then I had gotten another DUI in Spokane. Um for but this one was like for drugs for cuz I like I was like parked and then like the car was running [snorts] and then like I tested positive for heroin and um so they charged me with another DUI for that. And then so I kept getting transported back and forth and then I ended up finally getting like I think they gave me like 120 days or 100 and something days. And then I got released in Ellensburg, but I had gotten out on a bail and then I had gotten like my wallet stolen and then I was like going through another like another manic phase and then I got like just everything screwed up. So I got out and I had like no wallet, no phone, no nothing. And I was in Ellensburg which I didn't know the town and it's like small. And so like they had like a shelter but it moved around like it was a different place like every night. Anyway, I ended up finally back in Spokane and got my old job back. And I was working or doing it's basically banquet serving. >> Mhm. >> And uh she worked there and she know we're always like real flirty and stuff but I was like really like intimidated by her like actually like I don't even think we were dating. >> So like intimidated like because you had like a crush on her or >> Yeah, like I thought she was just like she was like really open like about [clears throat] her like I don't know. She would just say a lot of like really sexual stuff and >> That's like really aggressive. >> Yeah, and so like I was just really like I don't know. She always called me vanilla. I don't know. Um but I actually like called her out because I was like telling her I liked her friend and then she's like I like you and you know and then we just like hit it off. And you know she wasn't even like like >> [sighs] >> I don't know. She said she wasn't looking for a relationship. Like she was getting ready to move to Colorado. And but we just got along like so well and like I agree had a really good physical relationship and it was she was just awesome. Like she was just awesome. And then we got the RV and everything changed because I was concentrating so much on that because I was trying to get her to her daughter. Cuz that was the reason we got it was cuz she wanted to go down and move with her daughter down in Colorado. >> Okay. >> So you got the RV cuz you're trying to help her get to Colorado. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Where did you get the RV? >> Spokane. >> Okay. >> Did the RV just have existing problems? Is that kind of what happened? >> Well, uh we didn't have problems, but we were like So she was supposed to have had money saved and done all this stuff and then she was having issues with coke and she she smokes a lot of weed and she or smoked a lot of weed and she We both drank a lot and so it was just like money just spend and spend and spend and you know, like and she wanted to smoke like really good weed and you know, and she wasn't real like frugal about stuff, you know, she would just money just spend and spend and she would just assume like everything's going to be fine. So we ended up buying like a really like it was only 800 bucks and you know, it needed work. And then we had a friend who let us come out there and stay. >> Where was that at? >> And uh It's like by Spokane, Newport, Washington. >> Okay. >> Um and and he had a shop and like some a decent amount of tools. Uh and so I just was like out there just trying to get [clears throat] it as like ready as I could to go. But she was getting like super impatient because she wanted to get down there and her daughter had like prom and then her daughter had gotten in trouble cuz she like kicked some girl in the head, but it really wasn't that big of a deal and she wanted to go down there and take care of that and like her dad's like her [clears throat] daughter's dad's like African like all the way and like so she's just his culture is not there and she just felt like he wasn't doing a good job. And [clears throat] uh so I was trying to get there and but I just kept working on the herb way so much and not paying attention to her as like cuz we used to just hang out like all the time just like all day every day. That's all we did was hang out, you know? >> [clears throat] >> I don't really like I I'll smoke weed, but I'm like not really into it anymore. I used to be really into it, but I just wasn't like I would only smoke sometimes. It made me really tired and feel like just off, you know? So um but I would do coke with her. And we were just having a great time. We just drink around like all the time just um it was just like a consistent like party and we were just only like really crazy about each other, you know? Just loved each other and then once she started feeling like desperate like she would got really different and then it was like I guess she had lived in she had a ex-husband who was really abusive and she had lived in an RV with him and had like seven or eight dogs or something. >> That's a lot of That's a lot of dogs especially for an RV only like >> Yeah and it was like even smaller than this room. It was like one of them was like a like a I think it was one of the ones that went in the back of the bed of a truck. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah, So, was >> A fifth wheel almost? >> No, not even. >> It sits inside the bed like the the bed of the truck. >> Oh, yeah. >> So, it was like it was like super small. >> Tiny then. >> With eight dogs? >> I think so. And then her ex-husband wouldn't get rid of them and all this stuff and so she just had like this really bad she's like and she told me she's like, "I'm going to be probably way different, but once we get down there I'll make it up to you and yada yada yada." And then um we made it and we started to go, but I didn't have my license cuz I was I really paranoid about that and then we didn't have enough money to actually like register it and stuff. >> Mhm. >> [clears throat] >> So, I just bought her a 3-day permit. I was like, "Well, we'll just register it when we get to Colorado." >> Yeah. >> But then we weren't making it and then we well, it was taking longer and I was you know, I'd make stops to like check things cuz I you know, there's also just like like a door would fly open here like one of the you know, side doors or like something and I was like, "I have to tape this or fix that or you know, rig this up or do whatever." And uh and then um and then it was like had like a fuel line break so we lost a bunch of gas and then you know, the more time it took the more we were spending on like our habits basically just drinking and then her weed and I smoke, you know, so it's like >> Now think that you all like about what time frame was this? >> Um I would have left in September. I think we left in September. >> That's when you left Washington? Okay. >> I think we left in September. And then I was in Montana and then we [clears throat] ended up in Livingston and then I like pretty sure I got drugged at this bar and I like woke up in the bathroom. And then I was like freaking out and I was like locked in the building. And like I was like physically addicted to I don't know if I am now but like I could get them still like I feel better today cuz I took Seroquel last night but I got to get like the shakes and stuff from not drinking. Yeah. So I woke up and like I'd wake up and drink in the middle of the night and stuff. Like I woke up and I was like feeling sober and then at the bar I'm locked in and so I grabbed some like bottles and started drinking and then like there was a register there that had the key in it so I like grabbed the money out of there and then I like broke out the window and left. Oh then I got caught and I got burglary charges there and then I was in jail for like 30 days and then she was she decided to stay there and wait for me. But the RV was broke down cuz it [clears throat] needed the water pump and she was able to like drive it to like this truck stop like called Town Pump which was like a had parking in the back and she ended up like and then she I like found a guy that was like a mechanic like from somebody in jail I found that was like would help her and then but then somebody ran into the back of the RV like super hard like this like pregnant girl who did a bunch of meth and like so it had a huge hole in it >> the damage like on the where the brake [clears throat] lights at. >> So that was like open and it was cold, it was getting colder and colder, and then she's like trying to deal with it, but she's alone, and then she's got her dog, and the dog will [ __ ] like just with like trying to break out of the RV all the time, and and it's just like not friendly around other dogs, and [ __ ] and pissing in the RV, and you know, and then all the other lot of stuff that wasn't finished in there, and she didn't really have like a good source of electricity or heat, and I think she just went like crazy in there, like and then finally I got out like 30 days later, and I'm like super happy to be out, like >> Yeah, exactly. >> So, she thinks I'm like getting high on meth and all this stuff I'm not, and I'm like just happy, and you know, I've been sleep I slept probably, you know, all the 30 days, and probably was only awake like 3 or 4 hours a day out of those days, cuz I was sleeping and sleeping, you know, what else there is to do? >> Mhm. >> And um so, I'm going to get out, and I'm just like happy, and then plus they like didn't do my meds right, like they were like not giving me my meds at first, and then they weren't giving me the right dose, and then by the time I they gave me at least most of what was still half of the dose I should have been on, I'd only been on it for a couple days, and then I get out, and then I'm like already like happy and elated, and so like I'm kind of like going into like mania, and so it looks like I'm on meth, but I'm not, and I'm like I'll take a drug test, I'll do whatever, and she's freaking out, and then like I'm concentrated on fixing this bag because it's wide open, and you know, all this cold air is flooding in, and then trying to get the generator going so we have electricity, and then you know, she didn't have that much money cuz she used money for my bail money, and then she needed money to survive, so she had used up all the money that we had for traveling, and like and she's not good with money, so she would we'd a bunch, and then we would get tired of our views, so we'd have to get a hotel here and there, and then it was just like we're paying for laundry and dog food and just everything, and so we were just like struggling, struggling. And she was just every day like I would still come to bed with her and stuff, or but she would sometimes she'd just get all [ __ ] up and go pass out. And she would expect me to come to bed, but I wouldn't right away because I could hear she's asleep. And so I'd go back there. And we'd sleep, and everything was cool, but then I'd wake up before her, and she thought I didn't come back. She thought I was like out like gallivanting around and doing [ __ ] and I wasn't. And uh and then sometimes I would get so tired that I would like pass out in like up front or like in the chair and stuff like that. Um and then she So, she was like every morning she was like freaking out on me and freaking out on me. And I would try to calm her down, and try to calm her down, and eventually she'd calm down, and she'd be okay. But then it was still like every morning it was like something else, and then she was like consistently just on me like, "You need to be around me all the time. You need to I need to know what you're doing like it's just like, you know, [clears throat] you need to come to bed with me this and that." And I was like, you know, "I'm an adult like and I'm happy that I'm trying to do stuff. You say you want this stuff done, but then you're not going to give me the time to do it. Like how am I supposed to sit here with you and have this done? Like this is [clears throat] not realistic, you know?" And so we get in a huge fight again. Like finally one morning after like uh like 10 days after cuz like every morning her just like freaking out on me, I like finally she said she was going to leave. And I was like, "Fine." And I [ __ ] just got all pissed off, and I started yelling, and I just just called her a dumb [ __ ] and told her she's [ __ ] should die and [ __ ] that like she needs to stop [ __ ] with me and I'm like freaking out and I'm like going to this like basically mode of like rage and she ends up calling the cops and I go back to jail. And then >> Is that still in Montana? >> Yeah. >> What When was this? Like what month do you think? >> Um >> [sighs] >> I went back to jail on November 11th. >> November 11th, okay. >> [clears throat] >> And then she So I went to jail and then I got out and she uh got a hold of me and actually tried it first and I ignored her. And then finally I got I was like I didn't have my phone or none of my stuff and like I was working doing some job with a friend and >> [clears throat] >> I like I finally decided to go see her because she had all my stuff anyway and wanted the RV back but then I wanted to be with her. And so she finally decided, you know, we'd go and I'd see each other. We're doing fine and made up and then we decided to to leave. I'm like, "I hate this town. I'm like, we need to get out of here." And she's like, "Okay." Finally she'd go and um we went to Bozeman uh cuz I had some stuff to exchange at Walmart. I was like, "We can get all geared up there and then we'll just go to we'll go to Boise and I know people there." And she's on the risk. I wasn't supposed to leave Montana and I was like, "Well, I don't I don't know people here and I got to do something and I can't sit here. Like I know people there." And uh she said, "Okay, okay." But then it was still like consistent fighting. And then finally like we got here and um I broke down and uh well I was having [clears throat] trouble with the starter and I actually broke down until later but I was having trouble with the starter and so it like having to like kind of like not start it as much you know what I mean like or like >> Leave it running or something like that. >> Yeah and uh then she was like just we got in a fight one night and she like wouldn't stop wouldn't stop and then she was always like trying to tell me like the only reason I do that is because I just wanted you to be with me and then she was like coming after me and I was like look fine let's go and let's go hang out then they want to go hang out yeah let's go hang out so in the back and we're hanging out and then she started just like being like like play fighting but like harder than normal and like um so I finally just like grabbed her and just like held her down and she was like struggling and struggling and then I was like is this all you want from me is just hang out and just like you're just using me and yada yada yada and then she like freaked out and I [clears throat] was just like I can't believe you would do that you would hold me down and this and that and she went outside and she was like yelling and freaking out and then um came back inside and this is where it's like it's like it's just like a blur but she was just I don't even know like how I got to there but like he she wouldn't stop yelling and wouldn't stop freaking out and then I just like walked in the back with a biggest kitchen knife and she was I was like threatening her at first and then she still wouldn't stop. I just stabbed her [ __ ] daring her a lot of times. Just stab her. Or just stab her. In the throat [clears throat] and then in the chest. >> Was it just the two times? >> No, it was a lot more because I saw I knew I was [ __ ] at that point. Like I knew I'm pretty sure she's going to die even if she doesn't die. Like I just stabbed a girl in the neck. So it's like I'm [ __ ] [clears throat] you know? I'm [ __ ] >> [snorts] >> And then she's like just call somebody. I won't say anything. I'm bleeding out. I'm like I know you you die. Like I was telling you you love him. Just go. Like just please. And I'm like in the front. And I hear they're wrestling around. And he's trying to break out the back window. And so I just grab her by the back of the shirt and threw her down on the ground and just stabbed her like I don't know. Like probably five or six times in the back of the neck. Until she stopped moving. >> Can you use a tissue, Chris? >> [snorts] >> Can I go smoke again? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. Just Just give us a second and we'll be right with you to get you that cigarette, okay? >> Mhm. >> You stay in here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> [snorts] [snorts] >> This is difficult but I don't like them. >> [snorts] >> I just feel so bad for kids. >> [snorts] >> I really like the kids a lot. >> [snorts] >> I really loved her a lot. You know, I think that Sharon sharing with us what happened in this story, I think you know, what you're doing is going to give them closure. Yeah. >> [snorts] >> Do you know what you did with the >> the set. >> Do you know what you did with the knife? >> I think I cleaned it with bleach and like cleaner and put it back in the drawer. It's like the big It's like the big one. It's like got it. I got It's the newest one in there that's a kitchen knife that's got a It's got like the rainbow handle. >> Rainbow handle? And it's in the kitchen area? >> It should be just right in the top drawer. >> Okay. >> If not, it's among the rest of the dishes. >> We're going to get you that cigarette but uh Is this the clothing you wore when this happened? >> Um I was wearing a green jacket that's in there. >> So, the green jacket that's in there. Do you remember what pants? >> [sighs] >> One pair like this. I don't know if it was these ones. I have three pairs like this. >> Okay. >> And I was wearing the black shoes that are slip-on. They're a black >> Black slip-on shoes? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Where would those be? Are they back with where she's at or >> No, they're just in the [snorts] They're They're in a blue They're in a in a blue cooler. >> Blue cooler? Okay. Perfect. Um Where where where do you where you parked at when this happened? >> Right in the Walmart parking lot. >> Can you tell me where in the Walmart parking lot? In the in the >> In front of that other RV. >> In front of the what? >> Yeah, that RV that's there like behind the tire place I think it is. >> Oh, like in the back? Okay. Okay. >> know if it's not the very back but it's kind of like >> Side? Kind of south? >> Yeah, it's not by the freeway it's by the I mean it's not it's perpendicular to the freeway not parallel. >> Okay. >> If you're looking out Walmart there's a gas station and then Walmart that's on the left side and there's another RV back there. >> Okay. It's the one on this side of town. >> Yeah, Walmart by where I was close to. >> Okay. Can you can you kind of tell me what night when did this happen? >> [snorts] >> I don't know it was like when we first got here. >> Was it the very first night you got here? >> I was still parked in the parking lot. I think so. >> So how long ago was that? >> Well, then I was at Rexburg first. And then I don't really know. I think but I slept like a back tracker. >> Why don't we why don't we get you that cigarette and you can kind of think about it? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> It's really hard to tell us what you told us, okay? You understand that? This this is kind of the tough part cuz we we've got some follow-up questions and we just kind of want to >> [snorts] >> just go over it again and then we can put it to rest, okay? Are you okay with that? >> So we we kind of want to reiterate [snorts] and just paraphrase what you've already told us just to make sure that we understand. So you first stop in Rexburg, correct? And then you guys make your way over here to the >> bowling balls in the park in the Walmart parking lot. And then at some point you get in an argument because she wants to hang out with you. Is that correct? And so you go you go back there to hang out and she starts play fighting with you and she's being a little aggressive so you hold her down and that makes you mad, right? And so she leaves the RV and goes outside. Is that correct? >> Well, she left the room. >> Oh, she left the room. Okay, so she didn't go outside the RV. Okay. So she leaves the room and is she still screaming and yelling? >> Yeah, kind of like but I'm also like talking to myself too, so like and I hear like mumbling stuff. >> Mhm. >> Like saying like I [snorts] don't know like just pissed off stuff, you know? Like >> So what made you mad to get the knife? Was she still talking? >> Yeah, and then she started like screaming like she was like she was like saying like oh, you she like she was like under the impression that I was like trying to be like raping her. Or something. >> Okay. >> Did she did she say anything like that or was she direct with saying rape or um Um >> She was just like, you can't like just like I don't know. I don't I don't I don't think she said that like but she also It It was just apparent that she thought I was like trying to be I don't know, forceful like that or something. You know what I mean? And like that's all of a sudden like that's why I let you up. Like like once I saw that you really like weren't like that's not what you were trying to do. Like I just totally let you up. Everything was fine, you know? Like I don't know why you're so upset like and then and [snorts] then um then she's like freaking out any more more and I I'm just like trying to tell her, you know, like stop. Like everything's fine. Like I let you up. Like I didn't hit you. I didn't hurt you. Like you're you're fine. Like I don't know. Like she's like it just triggered me. This happened. Like I keep telling you like just because stuff triggers you, that doesn't mean it's my fault. Like And and then I was just like screaming at him her. I don't know if she was calming down or I don't I don't really know. I just like wondered like cuz I went up there and she went back there again. And then she just wouldn't stop freaking out and then >> Can you just kind of go into depth on the freaking out? Like what does that look like? >> She's yelling and just acting like she was I don't know. She was just acting like she'd been I don't know. Like I can't really describe She just like seemed like I like She was like had this like violated type feeling. >> Mhm. >> You know what I mean? Like and then like she wasn't really making like a lot of sense with what she was saying and then I'm freaked out because I know I'm not supposed to be with her because we're not we are supposed to have no contact order. >> Mhm. Oh, from the previous seven Montana. Okay. >> So, I'm just like you know, and then I like go into like desperation mode and then like I'm like you're going to [ __ ] you know get the cops called and you're going to you know, everything's going to be [ __ ] up because you won't stop freaking out and then And then at first I was just like threatening her with it and I was like you need to knock it off, you know, and she's like I dare you and I'll do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> You talked about how angry you were or you were at the moment, right? >> You also scared because she's you thought the cops were going to get called, you were going to get arrested. And then when she [snorts] dared you, what happened right after that? >> I just stabbed her right in the neck and then stabbed her again [snorts] in the chest because I realized that I had stabbed her in the neck. So. >> But she didn't like die right then, right? You said she was kind of rustling around back there. And then did you say she tried to leave through the back window? >> Yeah, she tried to like She was hitting the back window with something. And she broke it. That's why there's that tape on there. That's [clears throat] why That's why it's painted black is cuz she Wait, wait. I should bring that before. Yeah. Yeah. >> [clears throat] >> Okay. >> She broke it and then >> And then what happened? >> Um Well, oh, she was still She was up on the bed and she was Yeah, she was trying to hit the window and then I just like grabbed her shirt or like collar or something and then I pulled her toward where I was I was I was standing at the foot of the bed >> Mhm. >> [snorts] >> and she just fell down there and then I like just stabbed her in the back of the neck and tail. She just stopped moving. >> How many times do you think if you had to estimate? >> Three or four probably. >> Okay. So, this knife, um after after you >> [snorts] >> you stab her, kind of tell us what what happens next. >> I just covered her up. And then just uh freaking out for a while and crying. Crying and trying to figure out what I'm going to do and drinking. All right. I just let her sit there for a while. And then I was running around bit and then just basically closed off that whole back area and tried to act like it didn't happen until like a few nights ago tried to get rid of her >> When did you try to do that? >> That's how it happened to her, right? >> [snorts] >> Apparently super drunk whiskey and rum and then like some weed and just tried to just like help paint tried to get myself as [ __ ] up as possible and I was going to like use that grill as a burner and then I was going to like and then some of the night anyway I had to like you know make it Obviously it's not going to fit on there. >> Mhm. >> [snorts] >> And then I just stopped because I just felt like I was going to pass out and lose you. >> So did you attempt to cut her up? What parts of her body did you cut up after she was dead? >> Just her head. >> You tried to cut her head off? >> I did. >> You did? You did cut it off or you just tried to? >> I did. >> You did, okay. >> I did two pieces. >> Two pieces? >> Yeah. I couldn't I wouldn't look at it. >> Mhm. >> I just had covered it with a blanket and I didn't want to see. And so I just used a saw and all. The blade was breaking. I cut it into those two pieces. I wrapped one of them covered it with a trash and rolled up in garbage bags with separate ones. I put one over in the dumpster in the sand piper and then put the other one. I think the dumpsters behind the church. That was like two days ago. >> How big were the pieces? >> I don't know. Half. Half. >> Okay. >> [snorts] >> And that was her. So you cut her head off and then you cut it into two? >> No, I I messed up trying to Cuz she was [clears throat] like four I was into the ground. >> Okay. >> And then I had everything covered with a blanket and I wouldn't want to look at what I was doing. >> Mhm. >> [snorts] >> And then I tried. The first part I just only cut it half. And then the next part of it I think it was almost >> So that happened 2 days ago. >> I think it was 3 days. >> Okay. Have you done anything to the body since? No. So, since that happened, where where is her body been? Right there. Have you kept it covered or Okay. Can you tell me why you got rid of the head? >> I don't know. I was trying to My goal is to dispose of it. >> Okay. >> I couldn't do it. >> What have you done the last 2 days? >> [snorts] >> I tried to go to the pawn shop. And I went and stayed at the homeless shelter last night. >> Is that where you stayed? >> No, I stayed in the RV. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Can I ask you something? Were Were you collecting money on her accounts, Cash App, or anything like that? >> Well, she owed me money. And so, she was trying to get it back from me because she When I went to jail, she uh When I went to jail, she took I had like $460, and she took it all cuz she was trying to leave. >> Yeah. >> And then so, like we were fighting about that, and she was trying to get it back from me. >> Okay. Okay. >> I didn't collect anything on her behalf, but I >> Is a lot of the property in the RV hers? >> Um There's It's like I don't know. Most of her stuff is all in the back. >> Okay. All right. Now, um where's this oz at? >> I just left it on the sink. >> Okay. >> In the back. >> Did you clean that, as well? Okay. Is there blood all over it? >> Um some, but not a lot of It's just all frozen. >> Okay. And And the knife, can you describe the knife to me? >> It's a very large kitchen like butcher knife. It has a rainbow handle, I think. Rainbow. It's like >> So, the the knife itself has a rainbow handle? Okay. Okay. >> And it's like the matching one, too. I like the pans. >> Okay. Okay. I'm going to step out real quick, okay? Um This is This has been tough for you. All right. Um we'll see if we can get you another cigarette here in a sec, okay? >> Christopher Brandon Foiles was originally charged in Idaho with first-degree murder, a deadly weapon enhancement, and destruction of evidence with a notice of intent to seek the death penalty, then charged in Gallatin County, Montana with deliberate homicide and related counts after venue was transferred.
