This deputy has to explain multiple times why they keep stopping this woman. >> This part fell out of there. >> Show me your hands. Hands up. >> Do you have a kid? >> Deputies conducted a traffic stop after seeing the driver run a red light, but this wasn't the first time the officers had encountered them. >> Yeah, I'd wait for the pulling gun. >> Stay in the car. Stay in the car. >> Why? >> Cuz you're getting pulled over. >> Why? >> Stay in the car for me. >> Why? >> Cuz you ran a red light. Stay back here. >> Okay, I'm sorry. >> Okay, nobody told you to get out. >> No, you didn't We didn't know we were being pulled over. >> did you jump to this seat? That's weird. >> car wasn't opening. >> Oh, okay. Climb out on this side for me. You got a valid license? >> Do you need me to sit down? >> all the way over here, so >> So, you need me to sit down? >> Sure. >> Thank you. >> Does he have a valid license? >> I just needed to go to Walmart. I don't have a car. >> That one? >> Yeah, I >> Okay, where is it? >> I don't got the ID. >> I just need 15 of them real quick. >> You guys are giving me a heart attack. God damn. >> Why are we giving you a heart attack? >> Cuz you just rolled up and you grabbed me by the arm, pulled me like it's just a >> Well, now you were jumping out. He was getting pulled over. >> You're not even covered by I can't see behind us. >> Okay, I'm just letting you know. >> letting you know you're giving me anxiety right now. That's it. >> Okay, sorry. Sorry about that. No one's saying you're being rude. Do you have a valid license if he doesn't? >> I do, yeah. >> Okay, can I see your license? >> I I don't have my driver's license. I have my medical marijuana card. >> Do you have any Yeah, anything on you in your wallet? This one? Why aren't you driving if you're valid and he's if he's not? >> I don't know. I just wanted >> I'm just asking a question. >> It's not my It's not my vehicle. >> Okay. Okay. So, you didn't run it? Okay. >> It has nothing to do with me. I just needed to >> I understand. Okay. Do you want to come stand back here while we finish? Sure, you can just If you want to sit down there and relax. >> Hello. Hi. >> Just leave the bag next to you. >> I'm I just got done talking to my attorney. >> You can stay sitting. Just put the bag next to you. >> Oh, I didn't >> In case there's any weapons or anything, just set it No, like on the ground away from you. There you go. Mhm. Mhm. That's right. That's right. Keep getting drugs out of there. We're going to keep messing with you. Huh? You got a house that has drugs. We got trafficking amount of meth out of there a couple days ago. I'm just saying. Sure. I mean, it's our job, so. I know. I said that. Just right here? There you go. There you go. You can relax right there. You can relax against the car while he gets his dog out. Just set the bag on the ground if you don't mind. Thank you. >> Do we need a consent to search the car? >> No. >> Yeah, but how can you search it if he wasn't >> We're searching it. >> I'll be bringing it up. Do we only have to have consent to search it? >> No. >> You sure? >> I'm very positive. >> to call my attorney before we go any further. >> You can contact whoever you want to contact. >> normally work, though? >> The dog's conducting a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle, which is allowed by the Supreme Court. >> No, I would not sure about that part. >> You can contact your lawyer if you want. I'm okay. Ma'am, I've been a cop for 20 years, I know. I know, but I know what I'm doing. I know. I Of course, that's why I'm saying if you want to contact your lawyer, go ahead. >> Yeah, and you know what? If you want to contact your lawyer also, just don't do it now because for whatever reason there's this like phenomenon lately where when you get pulled over, immediately they want to call their lawyer as if the lawyer is going to show up at scene. We call them the roadside litigator. And I don't know, they're going to work their magic and maybe just make this whole incident disappear. I don't know that. What what I will say is not only is this just a traffic stop for a violation as you can see the cops are building up their PC, they're building up their investigation considering they came from a home that's infested in drugs, they deal drugs, they possess. I mean, this is a really good stop, you know, the minor things make the big picture. Dope, money, guns, that's what I was taught back in the LAPD. >> You said I could search your purse, I didn't ask to search your purse, right? Huh? Okay, I appreciate that. But we're going to use the dog since the dog's here. So, courts have ruled that since it's sniffing the exterior of the vehicle, it's not a search. Sniffing the air on the exterior of the vehicle. I'm just telling you what the courts have said. I enjoy my job, yes. And the 30 complaints we've had at your house over the last 3 years make us make us focus on your residence primarily, okay? And just last week we got trafficking meth out of there, which means people are still It doesn't matter if it's in the driveway, it's at your house. I'm not trying to argue, okay? The neighbors are tired of it. I keep getting complaints. If you You the neighbors want to I'm just saying I'm saying if you think the neighbors want to put up with that then No, I mean when you're involved in drugs a problem I haven't done anything and you keep harassing me about it. Why don't you sit on your seat right there? Put your hands on the dashboard. >> Put your hands on the dashboard. >> He's eating it. He's eating it. What's up? >> I'm not saying I don't know what the car has to do with anything. I'm saying harassing me as an individual. Please stop. >> Okay, I'm not going to stop. It's my job. Okay? >> Keep doing your job but >> That's what I get paid to do. No, I get paid to focus on problems, okay? Your house has been identified as a problem, okay? We are going to focus on your house. Our legal is already aware has been going to be sending you letters deeming your house as a nuisance residence within the city of Palm Coast, all right? So No one hurt me. No one hurt me, okay? What's going on? What's going on? You have anything hidden on you any normal places? >> Yeah, no. Some money. >> Yeah, he's got his zipper down. >> Hey, why you say that? >> Why do I say your zipper's down? Cuz your zipper's down. >> I thought you were being funny. >> Oh, look. >> Yeah, I know. That's what I was trying >> Your zipper's all the way down. WOAH! SHERIFF'S OFFICE, SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. HANDS UP. >> We were knocking We've been knocking on the door I thought. >> Step out. >> No, hang on. One at a time. You stay there. >> Damn, what a surprise. Come on now. Someone let the cops know, the deputies know that you got two other suspects or possible suspects in the back like that. No one bothered to to let them know. But then again, you know, we're conducting this investigation and perhaps we didn't ask. Or what do I need to be aware of? What's in the back there of this U-Haul? >> We four secured. >> Are we all in the back? That ain't safe. >> There was no There was no space in there. >> Huh? >> There was no space in there. I didn't know that was going to be back there. >> Oh, here you go. What stuff you think this is? Female sports bra that's burnt foil fell out of there. I've got this burnt tin foil right here came out. Cut straws in this bag. More foil in here. More burnt foil. Huh? Everything's yours? Problem is he's in possession of it, too. Both of you are. Problem is it's in He's in possession of it, too. >> [snorts] >> This is why we keep messing with you, Jessica, cuz of this. I'm just telling you you asked you asked why we keep messing with you. This is why. There's no drugs in there? Is that what you just said? There is. There's burnt foil, probably fentanyl. I'm just telling you, okay? You asked why. I'm telling you why. This is why. This is a perfect example why. >> Is the bag you searched? >> Yeah. >> All right, come to this one. She had stuff on her? Oh, no. Oh, no. This lady's over there recording for her mom. For one of these 10-15's mom. Huh? Oh, where'd that come from? >> Tempo's pocket. >> The one that's in handcuffs. >> She picked it up, she said it's not hers. >> She picked it up? >> Why would you Why would they pick that up? >> I don't know. They got to With they didn't tell us there was two people in the back of it. We opened the back after the dog sniff and the both of them were just standing there like this. >> Destroying all the fentanyl and all >> [snorts] >> Which by the way, with those two suspects in the back, that can create a tactical nightmare. I mean, imagine if there's a furtive movement and next you know you engage with Thank God that it happened. What I will say about the possession of paraphernalia and all that, yeah, I just found it. It's It's not even mine. Look, man, you got to have some accountability if you're up to no good and you're doing drugs. And by the way, when you conduct these traffic stops for these minor infractions, again, you just never know what you're going to get out of it. >> Ma'am, we already warned you to back up. We already warned you to back up 25 ft. No, you're not. Yes. No, we gave you your last warning, okay? If you approach again, you're going to be arrested. No. If you approach again, you're going to be arrested. Do you understand? You are. You can look it up on your phone, okay? It's called the Halo law. You can look it up on your phone, okay? Florida Halo law, yes, ma'am. Anything on her stays with her. Do you understand? You're not taking any of her possessions, okay? No. No, you cannot, okay? You asked, I answered it, okay? You cannot take it. Thank you. >> Why she is my brother? Listen, I appreciate you. But you don't I can't. Well, they shouldn't be arresting Jay 5, though. >> Why is he getting arrested? >> He's not. He shouldn't be. I told him everything. He didn't even know I was using, bro. They pulled out [ __ ] rigs, Jessica. >> They what? >> They pulled [snorts] out literal [ __ ] rigs, bro. >> Where? What are you talking about? When? >> [snorts] >> Dude, I was shooting up, man. >> You weren't shooting up, too. >> This is the longest I've gone without shooting up. It's been like 12 weeks. >> I have no use doing that. You're going to be okay. Look at me. >> I didn't want to tell you, though. >> Listen. Hey, look at me. Look at me. I know you probably can't stand me. This is the last person I wanted to be handcuffed in the back of a cop car with. But for real, like >> Bro, I'm just upset cuz he he thought I was he thought I was off that and and he thought I was done with all that. Yeah. No, Jay, he thought I was done with all of that. He had no idea, bro. >> See how happy they are? >> He had no clue. >> disgusting. When did officers become so happy to do this? >> He had no clue I was using again, bro. >> I will say this, I don't necessarily think that they're happy that they're doing that. It's part of their job, right? It's to protect and to serve. And look, if you're doing drugs and you're a drug addict, it's more than just the arrest. And my heart goes out to these young kids, right? Cuz I'm a little older, knowing that you live this lifestyle by which it's really not productive, right? And you got to get the necessary help that you definitely need. Got to get treatment, got to get therapy, all that good stuff, you know, rehab, whatever it takes to make you better. >> I need a drink, bro, and it's hot as [ __ ] >> You know, my mouth is so dry, too. >> Hey. Hey. >> You know, my mouth is dry, too. >> It's so hot, bro. Excuse me. Oh my god, I can't breathe. This kind of high sucks. >> She's going to pass out. >> Um can you please turn the air up, please? >> It's all the way up, honey. I can't do it. >> I can't, bro. >> I'm sorry, she said. I can roll the window down. You want that down? >> I don't know what I want. Listen. >> I get you don't feel good. Yeah, once we start getting moving, there'll be more air back there, okay? >> I can't breathe. >> Here, it's all the way open. >> Do you know what they're charging you for? >> I'm literally just searching and transporting. That's that's all I know. >> I shouldn't be going into jail. They don't know I'm saying and doing these things. Is it all my fault, bro? I'm a [ __ ] drug addict. >> And they want us to go and make me feel like [ __ ] for doing these things. >> I'm a drug addict. >> Like I've never felt so ashamed and like belittled. Like I can't believe that they actually take care of people. What happened to humanity? >> What happened to humanity? You are going to jail because I'm a [ __ ] drug addict. This is insane. Are you okay? >> You're okay. I'm going to smile in my mug shot. >> Should I Wait. How should I do it like this? >> Yeah. I'm going to get water first, though. >> I'm going to do just like that. Look. >> [laughter] >> Wait. Wait, don't laugh at me. >> Don't do that. >> I'm going to just like laugh and then I'll be like >> My last mug shot photo looked crazy. I was so strung out. It was bad. >> My lips are so dry, bro. >> Mine, too. >> I literally need a drink so bad, dude. >> to my teeth. >> They were excited. >> They were so excited. It was disgusting. >> Oh god. I don't feel good. >> Can you play Take Me Away by Keisha? Yeah. No. It's like it's got a slow part. I'll show you better ones. I promise. One, two, three. Mama said it's just to take me away. Take me away. Take me away. Last one and I have a game. Ain't nothing nice. It's just a game. >> How long does it normally take for them to call in your charges and stuff? >> To do what? >> To call in my charges and stuff. >> When they when they get here, they can uh they can tell me, but like I said, I don't >> Oh, we wait for them? >> Yeah. >> Okay, good. So, we'll be able to see if they're God damn. I'm hoping for paraphernalia. >> It's in my pocket. >> Dude, you know how many charges I'm going to get with? >> Really? >> I'm not telling you yet. Paraphernalia. Everything. No, damn straws. You have a straw? >> Yeah, but there was straws. I know. I only have one straw. >> I have like four, five, six straws. Foils and foils and foils. Um rigs. >> Damn, I know. >> I had all that. Maybe yeah, I'm going. >> It's missing misdemeanors. No, they missed misdemeanors. >> Oh. >> Yeah, all paraphernalia is misdemeanors unless they try to say other things like adding it to it. >> You know, I was just thinking maybe the conversation you two should be having is like we got to stop this lifestyle. How can we get better? I need help. I need to get rehab and my life is a mess. Something along those lines and I know I'm putting my moral compass hat on to share this sentiment with you because it's just sad. It's just sad to know that you know, we have to deal with stuff like this. >> Well, I don't know. I told them I wasn't doing the drugs. They said where did you last see misdemeanors? I don't know. Can't you tell I'm really mad? Was it 10 minutes ago? I don't [ __ ] know. >> Do you have any concept of time? >> Right. I swear to God, look it up. >> This was in Sarah Council? I mean prescription to uh Janice. Who was that? >> Obviously not her. >> Okay. >> Or any of that. >> She had four or five of those same pills in her purse. Okay. >> They got me on the trafficking I'm saying this time. No, they hit me with the trafficking methamphetamine charge because I have my mom's script of Adderall in my car. And they put it on the [ __ ] scale in the plastic bottle. Swear to God, look up the 707. >> I believe you. >> Like dude, ridiculous. God, I don't want to I was so [ __ ] humiliated today. I miss my baby. >> Yeah, I mean probably 13 to 15. >> Bro, she can go to jail. All right, come over here. Come over here, you're not free to go. No, come over here. You're not free to go. Look, 3 6 9 12 ft, all right? You've been warned to stay 25 ft away. >> I said 25 ft. >> No, I just not counted out 12 ft from the back of the car. >> I didn't know. that. >> You've been warned multiple times. You decided to walk behind the the cop car. >> that I'm going to the >> I told you to look it up, didn't I? >> Okay, I'm sure. >> You know that, okay? No, ma'am, I don't know anything. You're under arrest, okay? No, we warned you multiple times. >> Sure. >> I just counted it out from the back of the car. It's 12 ft. >> I don't know what was 25 ft. I stayed up close to the building. I can't >> No, you're under arrest. >> further. My car is >> You're under arrest for the Halo law, okay? >> Please. >> No, you're under arrest. >> You can't take it off that way. You have to un hit You have to >> Right Okay? >> Can I walk to the car? >> No, ma'am. We warned you, okay? You had to interject yourself. And again, that reminder of ATD, I've asked you to stay 25 ft or more. I'm telling you, stay 25 ft or more. Stand over there. Unless make it or do it. >> Where is your friend? >> Who? >> No, your friend from dinner. That's your friend, right? >> Huh? >> Where was your friend from dinner? >> How do you know? >> Really? She started walking towards the cars. 25 ft. Are you serious? >> Mhm. >> Who's that? Is your friend in it? >> Okay, so final thoughts here. First and foremost, like always, big shout out to Flagler County Sheriff's Office. Deputies conducted a very thorough investigation. No stone goes unturned. I like the no-nonsense, knows his laws, knows his procedures, and they build up the case that started with a traffic stop knowing that they're going to do a nuisance on that particular building, okay? The biggest lessons of them all is I just hope, again, that all the arrestees get the necessary treatment that they need, rehab, whatever the case may be. One traffic stop at a time, one arrest at a time, we can make our community safer. Hope you learned something. Okay, so April was charged with impeding or harassing a first responder.
