This traffic stop takes an unexpected turn when cops discover cocaine inside the woman's car. I don't see any. I didn't know that was there. Got a crack pipe in your pocket? Cops conducted a traffic stop for dark tinted windows, but check this out. Things quickly escalate when officers discover crack cocaine in her purse and a crack pipe in the car. Take a look. Uh, you can see it right up here. And then turn it back. How you doing? How are you? Good. Pulled you over today because of your window tint. How you doing, sir? Good. How are you doing? Good. You got any ID on you? Here's my driver's license. Just trying to identify you. Thank you. How's your day going? Are you guys having a good day? Yeah, we are. Are you? No. No, family complications, but All right, so on Wednesday, last Wednesday, I got a call about this female at the BMW dealership. Um it's a long story, but she was living at a hotel out in Copley and there was like some domestic violence issues that were going on and over the course of my half hour conversation with her, she was um got she was all over the place. She was talking about how she just recently relapsed and blah blah blah blah blah. Um and she mentioned a guy that she would get her stuff from. And it's this guy and it's him that's in the car now. So she is also again today very like animated. I don't know if you could hear her talking. She was like, "Hey, how's your day? What what's going on?" Like very deflective. Um usually when people get pulled over um and there's not anything going on, they're not deflective in that manner. So, I'm going to go over first order of business is going to get him arrested for the warrant and then I'll bring him back to the car here and search him. Or I should stay where I was. Yeah, that's fine. Love it. Right before we're going to get into the car, got to tell you that's a ride-along, I believe. And I believe that female is trying to become a cop, which is good. You know, he's explaining to her exactly what's going to happen. And you got to think to yourself, "God, you know, I don't know. I'm excited to get into this career." With that being said, let's talk about deflective. You know what, you're right. Who, when they get pulled over, says, "Hey guy, hey, how are you? How's your day going?" Normally, when you get pulled over, especially for speeding or any moving violation, you're just like, "You know what? You get defensive right away." I mean, tell me, right? Passenger 13. All right, Mr. Spears. Yes. Uh go ahead and unbuckle for me. I'm going to step out of the car real quick. Hands up on the dashboard for me. Put your hands up on the dashboard for me. What happened here? What did he do? I'll explain it to him in a second. Give me your Nope, stay in there. Give me your right hand. All right, what did he do? Hands up here. Okay. Face away from me. You got a You got a warrant. Oh, I I have no warrant. I don't have a warrant. That's not true. Put your Put your hands Put your hands together. I don't have a warrant. Put your hands together. I don't have I don't have a warrant. What did he do? What did he do? What did he I don't have a warrant. That's a [ __ ] You can't do that. What is the warrant out of? Summit County. For what? Defensive driving course. I don't know, man. I took care of all that. You ever notice that everybody says, "You know what? I don't have a warrant." Like they're so defensive about it. Talk about being deflective, this guy's being defensive. Like, "No, I take care of all that." I don't think I ran into back in my days when I worked patrol where someone says, "You know what? Yeah, I think I have a warrant and you know what? Thank you for arresting me." It doesn't work that way. I just need to get my stuff. Listen. Walk back a little. Okay, be honest, man. We're in the sand right in front of this car. All right. Got anything in your pockets that's going to poke, stick, or stab you? No. Why? I don't have a knife. You went where? I'm not done yet. Give me a second. You got a knife? Yes. But I don't have no warrant. That's [ __ ] So, our system comes straight from the clerk's office. So, what we see I go to court every other week on the Vallejo court. Okay. But there might be some mix-up. All right. Calm down and let us figure it out, okay? We're detaining you off what we see, okay? You know, what I will say is, can the courts get it wrong? Yeah, sure. You know, where they make a mistake or an error that perhaps your warrant has been taken care of. Who knows? You know, but that's the courts. But when you run cheers, criminal history system, is what we used to call it cheers, and you got an active warrant. I go to court every other week. Who is this? Does he not see we're in the middle of something? What's that, sir? Down by John Muir. A whole big tree fell. I seen it fall. No, I understand, sir. We're in the middle of something though, okay? Thank you. Yeah, I'll I'll Was it on diagonal? Uh it was going down the hill. Down the hill, Coplin? By By the school. All right. Come on, man. Hey, you know what? Don't be that guy where you see like 10 police cars and lights and sirens and yellow tape everywhere and you're like, "Hey, I got to tell you about what's going on over here." Don't don't don't. Don't be that guy. I want a copy of the police report. we can we can talk about it. I'm going to have you step out real quick. What did I do? When you come out of the car, do you mind if I pat you down and make sure you don't have any weapons on you? Okay. Yeah, do you have a tree down on Conway by 40th Avenue and diagonal and all that? We just had a guy roll up on our stop and told us about it. Face away from me. Put your hands up on top of your head and interlace your fingers. Interlace your fingers. It sounds like a fireman is calling it in to fire personnel, so they'll be responding. All right, got it. All right, you can put your hands down. I want to tell you like my husband and I, we own the Phoenix Recovery Support recognize me, do you? Support Services? recognize me? You supposed to recognize you? You are. Have a seat. Have a seat here. Right on the bumper. That I own the Phoenix Recovery Support Services. No, ma'am, for that. I don't know. My husband I'm asking you why you're like upset that I don't know who you are. Cuz I just talked to you the other day. Sir? Ma'am, have a seat. I'm going through so much with my husband. seat on the bumper. I'll have a seat on the bumper. Yes. And I'm not allowed to say that I'm going through a lot? No, you are. We just asked you to sit on the bumper. That's all. Okay. Mhm. Okay, she's like real sketchy, huh? Don't you think? She's got to be high as a kite. And there's I don't know where you're getting off the warrant for the tinted windows. What do you mean, warrant? You said we told him he had a warrant. You said a warrant for tinted windows. I'm doing I said, "What's wrong with my tinted windows?" Well, yeah, you can't have tinted windows. I bought the car like this for 58,000 all cash. I understand. I I have nothing, you know, that I'm doing wrong. Well, unfortunately, even if you bought the car with the tint, it doesn't make it legal. So, what am I supposed to do? You take the tint off. Okay, I will make sure I go do that. I'm sorry. Because I don't want to be pulled over for something that I didn't have any responsibility for. Well, I get what you're saying, but once you buy the vehicle, you do become responsible. that doesn't know much about vehicles as far as that that was inappropriate. I didn't know that. I'm going for a walk with my Chevy Traverse. I have some fishing gear on me. I mean I'm going for a walk. He punched me anyway. You don't see the bruise on my face from him punching me? When did that happen? Just last week. Did you call the police? No. Why not? He got locked in the house after he told me Why didn't you call the police? He's done it so many times, so I He's 6' 7" 280. I dealt with it for 7 years. And I really don't recognize him from the other day. I I can't help it that I don't recognize him. I do have a brain disorder, too. I almost died 2 years ago from anorexia and bulimia. So. Hmm, help me out here. Brain disorder. I don't know, maybe maybe you're doing a little too much crack is my thinking, right? And I'm not here to pass judgement. And by the way, yes, in these traffic stops, man, you hear you hear it all. I know you guys don't know my medical history, but compared to not walking at all I can't even tell you what I had for breakfast. Sir, may I ask you a question? Yeah. Um, am I doing anything else that I'm like not supposed to be doing? Uh, there's crack in the car. Excuse me? Where? Not on your side yet. Huh? Not on your side yet. I don't have any drugs, sir. Am I Oh my god. Wow. All right, she's starting to Okay. Go ahead and turn around, put your hands behind your Please don't resist. do anything. Ma'am, put your hands behind your back. We'll search you in a I didn't know. I told you everything, sir. You're under arrest for possession of crack cocaine, okay? Sir, I don't It's not mine. Okay, it's in your purse. We'll talk about it. Just give us Can I see? I don't see any. It's there. I know for a fact they don't have any. I didn't know that was there. Hey, can you ask if they have any gift cards? Stop. Just just We'll we'll we'll talk about it. I haven't had a traffic stop where when we find drugs where you say, "Look, possession of crack cocaine." And all of a sudden the suspect goes, "Ah, you know, yes, it's mine." Ma'am, over here, please. Over here, please. So, I'm just going to ask you this now before we get to the county area mine. before we get to the county or anything like that. Do you have anything anywhere you're not supposed to No. Okay, cuz they're going to put you through a body scan, okay? Anything they find is going to be another felony, okay? Can I talk to him? Here, let's take this off, okay? All right, have a seat in the car, please. Ma'am, please have a seat. Okay. Thank you. I That's not mine though. I know that's not mine. Well, ma'am, the officer found it in your purse, so he must have put it in my purse. You can't tell me that's mine. I know for a fact that's not mine. And here's the deal. Even if he did put it in your purse, you know what? You're still in possession of it cuz it's your purse. Tell me what kind of wallet phone he had cuz I know that's not mine. Okay. Listen. What do I have to do, sir? Can I explain it to you? Ms. Parsons. Um your vehicle's going to be towed. And you're going to be sent to the county jail for the possession, okay? And that Yep, possession of a cocaine. I I didn't say that. I know that's his. But it was found in your purse. He put it in there, sir. When? When when he got pulled over. You didn't see him go in your purse? Excuse me? You didn't see him go in your purse? Okay. So her theory is is that you know what? Oh [ __ ] we're getting pulled over. You know what? Here's my crack, put it in her purse. And she's probably like, oh okay. Or maybe she didn't see it. What are you doing? Ma'am, what are you doing? I know that stuff mine. That's why I'm so upset. I thought it Sir. Yes, ma'am. That stuff is in mine. Okay, ma'am. You claiming it's ask him. Ma'am, ma'am, you will have your day in court, okay? The other officer is the arresting officer, okay? You got anything illegal on you? I don't Nothing hidden anywhere? I don't think so. Where would it be at if you do? In my bra. In your bra? Do you have anything in your bra? No, it's not my bra. Find that okay. I mean I'm not going in your bra, but You guys weren't just like, oh my god, is that all? I don't know, ma'am. I backed him up. I don't You obviously wanted to I stopped you. I know you did. Why? Well, I mean this this all turned into something when your partner, your passenger, whoever he is to you, had a warrant and there was a crack pipe found in his pocket, and then a probable cause search of the of the car. crack pipe in your pocket?
