This mom was found passed out in her car full of drugs with her three kids. I think he's drinking milk. Oh, it's the white container. Yes. You have 28.2 g of meth via Trunard. Cops find her unconscious in her par car. When she wakes up, officers begin asking questions and a canine is called in. Take a look. How did you shine your flashlight down? Yeah. That baby's drinking milk. Are they all passed out? Yeah. Are they breathing? Yeah, they're breathing. Yeah. Okay. Do me a favor. Hang on. Put one of your cars in front of her, please. Put another car directly behind her, please. Okay. So, if you're wondering or trying to figure out why is it that the senior officer, might be the sergeant, I can't tell just yet. Maybe the sergeant, uh, is asking for the vehicles to block her is so that the driver doesn't get away, right? Because imagine if all of a sudden she puts it on drive and just takes off. Now you got a pursuit and it can just get ugly and go sideways. Okay? So, it's a tactic that's often used by a lot of officers. It's very, very important. Yeah, it looks very, very suspicious to know that you have u minors in the car with a an adult, right? We still haven't figured out what's going on, but I can tell you from experience, it looks very very suspicious. So, let's find out. See what happens. Yeah. Cover her all the way up against her bumper. Please [snorts] come up. [snorts] Hello, Sheriff's Office. [snorts] Hey, Sheriff's Office. How you doing? It's a sheriff's office. Could you open the door for me, please? [snorts] Are you all right? Yeah. Okay. Do you got your ID on you? What's going on? Is it in your purse? Yeah. Could you grab it for me out of your purse? Let me just add on real quick that if you keep thinking about what reasonable suspicion is and by the way I hear RA reasonable articulable suspicion. I've heard that in the past just let's keep it simple. It's just reasonable suspicion to believe that if you think that that particular person is a subject of being involved in some crime or is about to be involved in a crime, right? Then yes, you can legally detain them. And I'm going to tell you right now, you can get any better arrest than this. My dang young. Sorry. What about him? Um I have my driver's license in here. Did the kids take it out? Yeah, I think so because I usually have it right here. Okay, hop out with me for a second. Okay, we'll chat. [snorts] Can I get some of this? Sorry. Yep. You can bring it out with you. How's that sound? Sit right on in front of your vehicle over here. Up here with me. [snorts] Just have a seat. Just kind of rest in your vehicle right there. Oh, what what's where you coming from today? Um, Palaca. You coming from Pala? Where you headed to? Road. I'm going to my brother's out here. You're going to height road? No, I was coming from height road. Going to my brother's. Okay. He lives on road at um I'm not sure. I went and got some food with my girls. So, okay. What time is that up? [snorts] I'm not even sure. I wasn't paying attention. You know what time? Do you know what time it is now? Um about midnightish. Okay. It's 11:30. Okay. Almost midnight. Okay. When we came out here, you were passed out behind the wheel with your kids in the back. Drooling. I was just trying to do my modification. Are you diabetic at all? No. Have you taken anything tonight? No. Is there anything illegal in the vehicle? No. Are we going to find anything illegal in the vehicle? Do you got a medical? No. Push the BS button. I'm thinking there's something in that car. And let me just kind of expand a little bit about reasonable suspicion, right? It's a legal detainment as long as it's reasonable for you to investigate further to find out, right? Or if the evidence leads you that there is crime of foot, right? In other words, some criminal activity has occur to occur. And that's what we're doing here. You know, chances are you're probably going to get a canine. I'm thinking that there's got to be drugrelated offenses here. Well, I did have one. It expired. I seen the container. Oh, it's the white container. Yes. So, here's the thing. We We have a dog on the way. Is it going to alert on the vehicle? No. It's not going to alert for anything in the vehicle? No. No, no. My babies are there. Okay. Do you mind if we search the vehicle? Go for it. Okay. You can just hang out here with me. Okay. So, what's what's the story on why you're asleep with the kids in the back drooling? I just stopped right there to do my modification. I wouldn't You were asleep drooling when we pulled up for long because I know I was tired. Okay. Did you take any narcotics at all? No. Nothing at all? I don't take anything. Okay. Any No. No. Okay. Are we going to find anything in the vehicle? No. Anything on you? No. Okay. I was just looking for my phone. Nothing stuck in your bra? No. Oops. Okay. Oh, can I grab my phone real quick? Just hang out here with me for a second. Okay. We got a lot to figure out here. I'm so sorry. Okay. Cuz we got little babies in the back and you're asleep drooing at the wheel. That's kind of I've been damn tired. Okay. Well, the issue here is the kids are in the back and they have an adult that is not adulting, right? [snorts] You know, that's also known as child neglect, child endangerment, negligent supervision. Those are all the crimes that she has committed thus far. Let's turn that off. We got volunteer already, but if you want to run it, you still run it. We got voluntary already, but if you want to run it, you can run it. Can you Sorry. Oh, you're good. He's got to back up a little bit. Okay. Well, he Yeah, just give him a second. What your name is? Amanda. Amanda, what? Berts. Amanda, can you do me a favor? Could you hang out with Deputy Lao over there? She's right over there. Okay. Yeah. Just turn the car off real quick. Let's go. [snorts] one or no? Yeah. 31. Okay. You know, as we keep watching this together, and I know I'm going to probably state the obvious is that the ones that get impacted the most out of this entire incident is those kids, man. You know, your heart just goes out. It breaks me to know that um kids have to suffer and go through all this. You know, we got to do better, parents. Seats. Seats. Hey. Hello. Is that rock candy? Is it? There might be more in this. I don't know if this is dabs or more of it. These two were in that inside of that on the passenger seat in the ballroom with the candlestick. Colonel mustard. Okay, I'm done with that. What the hell is this Yeah, it's on there. Oh, how did I miss that? You look inside this thing. Yeah, there's it's like half a blunt. What is that? That's pretty pretty well versed with That's what's up. [laughter] Sorry online. You're going to have a trap. This right here. [laughter] Now, what the hell do we have? That's where I That little lock box is where I found everything. It's on the It's on the hood. Oh, yeah. That's a sandwich. What is that thing down there? It's a It looks like a deer camera, but it does open. Grab it. Grab that. Oh, Jesus. Wow. Eric wants to tell you something. Yeah. Yeah. They're gonna need it. Okay. So, we got shield. Take a picture of the way. Hey, can I call you back? I'm testing like almost right now. So, what do you see here? No. No. But is is that correct or is that incorrect? Look how they're all sitting and what? Oh, they need to be backwards. Okay. So, rear and needs to be secured. The middle one needs to be in a booster. Or actually, 2-year-old needs to be in a car seat. Needs to be rear. And then that one is probably too little to be in a booster. Um, and they're not securing the seats at all. You know, uh, she's just racking up the charges. But again, the most important charge out of them all is trafficking these narcotics. I just can't tolerate that, you know. 26 G so far. Oh, wow. That's almost none. That's the most I've ever seen in all three of those. All right. That's 2.2 g because the bag weighed I think 2.6. So that's 2.2. And then each of these are both 13. So that equals 28.2. Right. Finance guy. All right. That's one ounce. That's 28.2 gram. Now, now that's including this bag weight cuz this was 4.8 and the bag weighed 2.6. So, this is 2.2 g of Okay. Where was that found at? This the stuff in this is in here, which was in here. I don't know where Caliber found these. Where'd you find that? That was inside of that as well. It was in the passenger seat. Oh, I saw that when I found Where did this come from? That was that had the two bags wrapped in it together. So the two and the pipe was in the seat next to these were in this is it all all of this is all of that is in your associated so you have 28.2 g of meth via a true nar 28.2 You know how to do that? Yeah. You okay, buddy? Okay, final thoughts. Uh, first and foremost, big shout out to Putnham County Sheriff's Office. Look, all those deputies at scene working together. Outstanding investigation. Uh, to the point where you call K9, conduct a search, get a dog alert, further your PC to search the vehicle, uh, and you'll find all this dope. Look, I'm going to leave you with this and this quote that the uh deputies said. The kids have an adult who's not adulting. Spot on. And what I mean by that is please, please, Amanda, whatever you got to do to get better, get treatment, rehab to become a better mother. You can't just be neglecting your kids like that because the ones that end up suffering the most are those kids. Okay? Hope you learned something. Up next, I'm looking at how a routine call can turn into a deadly standoff with officers coming under gunfire. Get inside the house. He hasn't since I shot last.
