On September 22nd, 2025, officers were dispatched in response to a reported domestic incident. >> Okay, this is Mr. Mr. Lawson. Down here on vacation with this girl. Didn't get her name yet. She's out taking a walk kind of walking it off. Um You guys been dating for how long? >> Oh man, this is so embarrassing. >> Hey guys, good morning. >> Uh Two two months. >> Uh-huh. >> You all live together? >> No, she's not. >> So you've been dating for two months? All right. They came down here on what You drove down? >> Uh we flew. We flew in on Saturday. We flew in on Saturday. >> Saturday. >> We fly out tonight or this afternoon, rather. >> He uh didn't want to go to Sunset Celebration last night and she got a little miffed at that. >> And this happened last night or this morning? >> This application. >> Oh, just now. So she ordered a quiche or DoorDash from Publix. She threw it at him, but also attacked him physically, scratching him, and I guess this thing on his nose. That's what happened. >> She took a few swings. That was that one connected, but >> Okay. >> I was going I mean I was backing away, obviously, and He found me in there. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Yeah, so fellas, I don't know. I I I didn't mean to bring you guys out here for some BS. I mean she's gone now, so I can go get my stuff and go. I don't want to waste your guys' time. >> Yeah, I know, but that's not how this works. This is the state of Florida. >> Sorry? >> Do you have her phone number? >> I do. >> Okay, let me go to my car. Let me grab a notepad. I'm going to get all that info. So what happened to your ankle? Is that >> I don't know. Oh, you know what? I don't even know that. Um I had an ankle surgery like a long long time ago, so I don't I didn't even notice that until you said something. >> Okay. >> I don't think that was from her. I think I bumped it last night. >> up and take a look at the room real quick. >> Okay. >> Come on. Show some sense. >> I'm coming. I don't have a phone with >> Yeah, do the wave, catch. >> Yeah, but you don't know how they look. >> So, um >> Yeah, well, I'm going to I'm I'm definitely I'm not staying with her. >> Yeah. >> This will This will be the end of the end. I mean, I'm I'm not I don't I don't put up with the drama. >> So, yeah. >> So, give me if you've ever hung out here, there's two pieces of paper I have to give you. Or there's Yeah, there's two pieces of paper I have to give you. >> Okay. >> Um I'm going to put a case number here to do a report. If you do run into her running or the best course of action would be to reach out to us so we can come talk to her or we still got to talk to her, get her side of the story, whatever. This isn't I don't want you to feel like you're going to get in trouble. This isn't like most places where there's a domestic violence >> One station, purple. >> and we take the male. It's not the situation. You're telling us, I mean, you know, everything you're telling us is true, which I have no reason not to believe you. You're telling us, you know, that that, you know, she got pissed off at you because you don't want to go see the sunrise or sunset or whatever. And she came in here, got pissed off at you, took swings at you, and hit you with the quiche, which you still have pieces of quiche in your hair. You know, which, you know, and there's quiche all over the [ __ ] floor. I was wondering what the [ __ ] is that? >> Yeah, I mean, I'm I'm telling you Yeah, I'm telling you 100% the truth. I'm the one who called you guys. >> Yeah, I don't know I just want to get get myself out of this. That's all I want. But I've I've had a victim call me. You know, I mean, I'm not saying this is the situation, but I've had her I've had the aggressor call me. I've I've showed up to a house one day, this one lady was there. She's like, "My husband beat up on me." She had no marks on her. Go talk to her husband. Her husband looked like he got mauled by a [ __ ] tiger. He just got scratches everywhere and bruised and [ __ ] up. Give me a second. Let me um let me get some paperwork from my car. I got to give you a paper, and then I got to do like a quick little uh checklist thing. >> All right. I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to give you all this paperwork. >> You don't have to apologize to me, man. It's my job, dude. I You know, I'm 9:00 in the morning. I don't leave till 5:00, so this at least gives me something to do. >> Well, uh can I can I ask you this, officer? I mean, like since we're flying out today, I mean, like I know you you usually got to make an arrest. Like, how does that work? I mean, is she going to be let out to go to the airport and fly back home? >> So, so so no no no. So, the we're kind of close, but the quicker I the quicker I get to her and take her to the jail, the higher the likelihood of her seeing a judge by 1:30 and getting released getting released in the ballpark of being able to actually possibly make the flight, if not catch the next one out. >> rather her not be on that flight, but I mean, I can't I'm not going to >> Yeah, I can't impact that, but well, this well, >> I mean, >> if we do arrest her, she may or may not make that flight. And, you know, I'm I'm leaning more on may not. This isn't a situation where you just get a court date. This is a situation where you have to go to jail and actually be booked in and all that [ __ ] before you then get cut loose. >> But but I mean, like I said, it's it's better for her to handle it here >> than for me to write this up, go go to the judge, get a warrant, and then having her get picked up in Tampa. >> Well, >> She would get picked up in St. Pete, arrested, then she would have to wait 2 weeks in St. Pete until they get arranged some kind of travel arrangement. She'd have to get driven all the way down here, just come down here just to get a court date and a bond. So, it would be easier it would behoove her to show up here, and just if I were you, I would shoot her a text like, "Hey, man, just please come talk to the cops. They're They're going to with me. They Whatever. Say what you got to say to get her back here so we can talk to her." >> How do you do it? >> You know. >> Yeah. I mean, I don't want her to, you know, have to go through >> And >> you know, hell >> I'll I'll explain this to her. I'll explain this that that that this wasn't your decision to make. It's our decision or the state of Florida's decision to make. And the state of Florida, like I said, is a further arrest state. Uh give me a second, let me get that paperwork for you if you want. Let me grab your belongings. There's no guns, knives, or anything I need to be concerned about in here, no? >> Well, actually, you know, she didn't know she had this in her bag. She's got a multi-tool. It's like a It's like a you know, like a pliers and all this kind of stuff like that. She didn't know she had this in her bag and she somehow got through TSA. Didn't discover it until we got here, but no. >> So, are there other weapons in the room? >> Are both your bags carry-ons or >> Uh I just have one bag, this one. And we both carried on. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, so you can't take that on the plane. And that's hers, right? >> It's It's her It's her knife, yeah. >> If you choose not to press charges, then the state can drop it. But as of now, at the moment, she does have to go to jail. >> Yeah. >> Once again, like I said, >> I'm I'm not going to press charges on her. I'm not going to >> And that's perfectly fine. >> for herself. >> And I'll be And I >> Whatever she does, I just can't do that to me. >> Just real quick. So, the battery occurred here, correct? Like when she punched you in the face, it happened here? >> No way. >> And it's both out in the hallway, then? >> As you were trying to >> was in the hallway. >> Okay, it was in the hallway. So, she punched you when >> was leaving the room. I go to the room, I pull the door closed. She like opens the door. >> Yeah. >> As I'm going out, and I turn around, and then she's like, you know, coming at me like this. And then the food was sitting on the ground. And then she She basically like, you know, it's like grabs that and like throws it at me, like a you know, kind of like a plastic container. >> Yeah. >> Throws it at me. >> The whole container? >> Uh-huh. >> The whole container? You grab it and threw it at >> The whole thing. She pulls it out out of the public's bag, right? >> Yeah. >> And then she just throws it at me and it explodes and goes everywhere. I'm like, "Jana, Jana." >> Correct. >> And uh Randy's working it, so if you can You have his number and stuff? Yeah, man. And then So, then I go outside on the landing out here. >> Thank you, buddy. >> And then I'm like I'm like walking down the stairs >> Okay. >> away from the situation, >> Of course. >> and she kicks my bag and like comes outside, launches that into the street. >> Okay. So, so what >> unhinged, unhinged. >> Okay. So, me and this me and this officer are going to take off. I don't suggest you hang out in the room. I don't suggest you hang out in the room in case you get it does come back with a vengeance and just and so she's going to come you know. >> I I'll I'll get my [ __ ] I'll get out of here. >> I'm not kicking you out. I don't want you to think that, but at the same time I do want you to >> I don't want any more I don't want any >> No, of course. If you do come in contact with her if she does call you or she you know you find out where she is give the K11 dispatch department a call. >> Okay. >> They'll put me and officer Stanaback on it. We'll come to you and we'll you know we'll talk to her, get her side of the story and you know if everything checks out we'll make an arrest, all right? Make an arrest. Try to keep distance cuz God forbid God forbid you know God forbid you're defending yourself you you know just palm matter try to get away from you she falls to the ground she gets hurt it turns into a mutual domestic and both of you go. So you know, if you could run away I mean I know running away sucks >> scars on my face I'm telling you how much I hate >> course of course. >> I don't want to I don't wish her any ill or harm. >> No, of course. >> Nothing like that. >> All right. >> Okay, man. >> All right, brother. >> thank you very much, dude. I got everything I need. >> Yeah, I got everything, man. Thanks a lot. >> Thank you. I got the sir. >> How you doing? >> Hey man, I'm sorry about you guys again. She just literally came here and tried to break into the room and I'm getting ready to head out to the airport. >> She in there now? >> Nope. >> Where is she at? >> Um I don't know. I I called you guys cuz I didn't want to get involved with it and uh I don't know where she's at right now. She said she was sleeping under a bush earlier. >> What was she wearing? Common possession was southbound down Hal Street. I'm going to 10-17 the area. >> 10-4. >> What was she wearing, brother? What's she wearing? >> Okay. White female, approximately 5'2, blonde hair, wearing all black. >> She's in her room. >> Ma'am, come here. >> I just tried to find my keys. >> Okay. >> That's all right. I've been sitting outside for hours now. >> Yeah, here. Let's go over here. There's a lot of shade over here. >> Yeah, come sit over here. >> What's your name? >> Jenna. >> Jenna Thomas. Uh there's another officer who needs to come talk to you. >> Okay. >> So, we're just going to stand by until he comes. Do you have any ID on you? >> No. I'm sorry. I'm >> You're good. >> I've been sick all week. >> 10-12. You all right? >> Um tired and dehydrated. I've been sick all week with like the norovirus kind of thing. >> Oh, god. Stay away from me. >> Dude, it was really horrible. So, tired. I just tried to go back in to get something to drink um or my phone charger and >> Yeah, there's something going on with y'all. >> Yeah, uh jerking off to the neighbor and telling me all about it and shoving me around, so >> Thanks. >> Uh I canceled my flight this afternoon to not deal with things and so I've been threatened with now going to charge me with domestic violence or something that didn't happen because I canceled the flight cuz I paid for everything. >> Yeah. >> Here we are. >> Well, Officer Perez knows the whole story, so >> Hello. >> Hi. >> Hi, Jenna. >> Want to fist bump? >> Yep. >> I'm Officer Perez. Um okay, so look, I responded here this morning because you and your you and your partner, boyfriend, whatever, got into it. Do you mind telling me what happened? >> Um yesterday our sailing trip was canceled and so he was like talking to the neighbors and so they invited us to like a pool bar. And then the entire night and the whole morning he decided to just continue to tell me how he was jerking off to the neighbor and then shove me around. And so I threw his bag over the balcony this morning and he um has now told me because I canceled my flights this afternoon he's charging me with domestic violence. So um my phone's dead but it'd be lovely to like have the proof of that's why he's doing the whole situation but >> Okay. So you're telling me he was shoving you around the room? >> Yeah. >> He's shoving you? >> Yes. >> Any injuries on you? Any marks, anything that would indicate that you were shoved? >> Don't know. I've been sitting under a bush for 3 hours because my phone's dead and I have nothing on me so I don't >> Okay. Uh stand up for me. Let me just look around. Make sure you don't have any injuries. Hold your hands out. So based on based on what you've told me and what he's told me him having present injuries and you know just everything that happened um I'm going to need you to stand up for me. Put your hands behind your back. Stand up. >> What? >> Stand up. >> Oh. >> May I come back there? Stop. Stop running away, please. >> How does he have injuries? >> hand behind your back. He's got a mark on his face. He's got a mark on his face and when we found him he said that you threw a key fob at him and you threw a key fob over his hair so that's more than enough proof for me. In Florida we're obligated to make an arrest if we find a an instance of domestic or dating violence. >> So, he gets to choke me and shove me? >> We look at the reprisal, take everything into consideration, but we have to arrest the uh person that we feel is necessary to be arrested, primary aggressor. >> Does the primary aggressor normally run and flee for safety? >> Uh no, normally primary aggressor runs to avoid to avoid being captured. >> Ah. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> So, we're going to walk over here to my car. All right. >> So, next time make sure he leaves marks when he hits me. >> No, that's not what I'm saying at all. >> That's what that is. >> That's not what I'm saying at all. Listen. I'm you're a female, you have very tight-fitting clothes, I'm not going to search you. Do you have anything illegal on you? Any drugs, a knife, anything that you're not supposed to have on you? >> No. >> Okay, if you introduce a knife, any kind of weapon, drugs, anything in the jail, listen to me. Listen to me. If I take you to the jail, as soon as we go through those doors, if you have any of that on you, you're going to be charged with a felony, which is introduction of contraband. And you understand that? So, you don't have a knife, you don't have any weed, nothing on you? >> No. >> Okay, perfect. You can have a seat. Can you take this for me? And uh Where's your phone? Do you have anything else in those pockets? >> No. >> No? Okay. Something. >> She said she has norovirus, so I would just want to say that. >> She is fine? >> She's been sick with norovirus. >> Oh, [ __ ] >> The woman was charged with domestic violence.
