Did you put hands on her? >> No, at all. >> Okay. >> Told her to stop acting like a kid and then she punched me in the face. >> So, he wants you off the property. I just >> I have to show you that, I guess. >> Yeah. >> Oh, that's okay. >> Okay. >> All my stuff's in the room. >> We got to get your stuff out and you guys have to find a different hotel. >> What's the time delay on this? Like, how long ago did she walk away? >> Not even 10 minutes. >> Just before >> like 2 minutes, if that. I just saw her walking when I started talking to him. >> Okay. Well, we're searching for her. Let's get your stuff out. She's not in here, but it's your parents right here sleeping. >> Okay. >> Well, I need to be able to see the room. Okay. >> Got to wake them up and >> Yeah. >> Um, so it seems as though your daughter >> Yes. and him had a physical altercation. Um, the hotel manager, as of right now, they're the cops are trying to find her. >> Um, as of right now, the hotel manager wants you guys out. >> Oh my god. >> Oh my god. >> And I need everybody's IDs. >> Oh my goodness. >> 103, just signal 14. I don't know. >> They had a physical altercation. The hotel, your daughter and him. >> Um, >> the hotel manager doesn't want you guys here. >> Just know about 15 minutes ago. >> Oh my god. [ __ ] crazy. >> I don't know what we're going to do. >> We have to leave. >> I have to leave. >> Can you just I don't know. Hold on. Yeah, you guys are being kicked out. >> Do you have your ID? >> I don't. >> Can you find it? >> Where am I going? >> Oh my god, that's crazy. Where Where is she at? She's with some officers up the street. >> Or something, >> huh? >> Or something. >> They were fighting. >> Thank you. I need your ID as well if you don't mind grabbing it. >> Hey, so the boyfriend now is backtracking and saying that he fell and that's how his face got hit. The hotel manager called. He wants them trespassed from here because they were the the initial one was um he she punched him in the face. I'm by myself right now, >> but I'm with the parents. I just had to wake the parents up that were in the room. >> This is horrible. >> Who's he? Who is he? I haven't talked to >> uh my boyfriend. Yeah, >> I got you. He lives in Illinois, too. >> Yeah. >> What part of Illinois do you guys live in? >> Uh he lives in Hegish and I live over in Lansancy. guys got in some kind of argument or something? >> A little bit of an argument. Not nothing too serious, but yeah, just a little bit. It's our first vacation together. >> Oh, really? Okay. So, you got you're feeling out how each other travels and everything like that. >> Yeah, basically. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> It's a little weird though. >> Yeah. How so? >> Just cuz like >> it >> I'm so chill and he's like on everything like what's going on? What's I'm just like it's okay. Like we're chilling. Depends on who you travel with. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You learn a lot about people when you travel with them. >> Yeah. >> Well, um the other officer is just talking to your boyfriend and I'm assuming she's just going to want to talk to you, get your side of things, and we'll go from there. Okay. >> Are you guys traveling with with your friends? >> I mean, are you guys are you guys traveling with your family or his family? >> Uh my family. Hopefully, we're on it. >> It sounds like the uh the property manager or the the nighttime auditor, whatever wants you guys trespass. >> Really? >> Yeah. So, you're going to have to probably find another hotel >> for the whole like sign. Really? >> Yeah. I don't know. Why would they want to trespass? What happened to that? >> Nothing. I mean, nothing. Not even with us, too. Like, fighting wise, like nothing even happened with us. Like, >> yeah, >> it's been a chill night. Nothing. No one even fighting. Like this is the most like I figured you guys would talk to me a little bit more and like try and figure out what's going on. But nothing really even happened though. Like we were all kind of just chilling and then I went out a little bit later than my parents did and he was trying to get me home and that was about it. >> Yeah. >> Really nothing too too serious. >> Well, sometimes like hotels calls the people are being loud or like stuff like that. So that's why. >> Yeah, for sure. For sure. >> Um but yeah, we're just backup officers. other officer was the primary officer. So she she can she'll get your statement and talk and everything. So >> you mind hanging with them? I need to go get her statement. >> I don't know. >> 103 going to >> I fell. >> What's up? >> I fell. >> Okay. >> Just get her back. >> What? >> We just get her back home. >> That's not how this works. It's your girlfriend. It's domestic. D domestic in the state of Florida. >> It's not I didn't get hit. I fell. >> Okay. It doesn't matter what you say, man. But well, we can prove. If she's got marks on her hands and stuff like that and you got a mark on your face, it goes a different way. You don't You don't just get to say, "Hey, let's take her back home. I don't want anything to happen." Not in the state of Florida. >> She didn't hit me. >> Okay. It's not my call. I'm just here to help the other officers. All right. >> So, you're pleading your case to me. It doesn't make doesn't make a difference. >> So, what are we doing here? >> I'm standing by with you. She's going to go talk to your girlfriend. >> She just wanted to take a walk to like clear your head. >> Uh, it really doesn't matter. Um, if you guys need me to go back to the like >> No, I meant they want you guys to leave. >> To leave? Oh, I mean, yeah, I guess we could take a walk. I mean, >> yeah. >> I'm not I'm kind of I'm not really tired. I'm kind of just walking right now. >> What would you say? What would you say if I told you that the front desk manager says he saw you punch the guy in the face? >> I found Beyonce. He punched me first. But Oh, >> where did he punch him? Snip >> in my face. >> In your face? Yeah. >> Where in your face? >> In my face. >> Oh, okay. Like a nose, cheek, eye. >> Like in my face. >> In your jaw? >> Yeah. >> The first time he's ever >> But it's okay. Yeah, it was the first time. What did the whole fight start over? >> Me not coming back to the the Marlin. But I was It was just stupid situation. So stupid. >> Like I just got here with my parents. It's so crazy. Like how do you even start a fight over like 15 minutes? It's kind of wild. But >> so he you're saying you hit your first? >> Yeah, definitely. >> But I'm not trying to get anybody in trouble right now. Like it's kind of like my it's my first time to Florida. I'm still a little like I just want everybody to have a good time, you know? >> Yeah. How long have you guys been >> officer that's kind of doctor? >> Yeah. How long have you guys been seeing each other? >> About a month. >> A month. >> Real real early to be honest with you. Real >> early on. >> Why are you staring at me? >> You call me over here. What are we doing? >> I just told you. Standing by until the other officer comes back. >> I have to stand. >> Yes. >> Go back in the room. >> No, you're detained. Part of this investigation. >> Detained. I didn't touch nobody. part of the investigation. You're detained. I'm going to put you in handcuffs in the back of the car if you keep walking. So, stand in front of my car. >> What am I detained for? >> As part of this investigation, you're part of >> You think I'm a victim, but you're going to detain me? >> I didn't say I don't, bro. I just got here. I have no idea what's going on. >> But you want to I'm going back in the room and not listen to what I'm telling you to do to resisting cuz I'm giving you a lawful order during an investigation. >> Okay. So, relax. >> I'm officer story with the US Police Department. What's your name? >> Katrina. >> Katrina. >> Yep. >> You want to tell me what happened earlier? >> Uh, we just really we got into an argument and it really didn't >> it really didn't end too well. Um, we're okay now and everything. It's just our first time being together and so close and everything like that, you know. But, um, >> Okay. What do you mean by not didn't go very well? What happened? like we we got into an argument and stuff like that. So, we aren't really like I'm I'm just going to do my thing till he wakes up in the morning and we're going to talk and figure everything out. >> Can you can you elaborate stuff like that? Like what does that mean? >> Um so we we went and picked up uh we got here to Florida. We went and got um like food. Uh what is it? Um I'm so sorry. Uh >> you don't have to get specific about food. >> Yeah. But >> yeah, I just want to know like you said argument and stuff like that. So like >> nothing bad. But uh we got we got we got sandwiches from Subway. Sorry. Yeah, Subway. Uh and then we ended up chilling for a little bit and then we ended up heading over to I think a little bit further down there, but the bike place. We got bikes for the next day. Like everybody was hanging out, you know. It was everybody's like having a good time. And then next thing you know, I just was not, you know, and I just wasn't doing what I was supposed to or I don't know. >> Uhhuh. >> But >> okay. So what happened? What just happened in the parking lot? Can you break all that down for me? >> Really nothing serious. We screamed at we we yelled at each other a little bit like leave me alone this and that and then I walked off and he walked back to the room. That was about it. >> From the living like from that room. >> Do you mind just putting your hands out like this? >> Yeah, for sure. For sure. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> I'm not even sure if he's still probably even out here. But >> why don't you tell? >> So when I showed up, your boyfriend was sitting out front. >> Yeah. >> Okay. The hotel manager doesn't want you guys in the hotel anymore. So, you guys are now kicked out because you guys were screaming at each other in the >> Yeah, which it's understandable. Okay. >> Okay. >> Why don't you tell her what you told me? >> Uh, we just kind of got into a fight. I'm not trying to really get anybody in trouble, but we kind of >> You're just prolonging hard situation here. Just tell her what happened. >> We got into a fight and I was trying to walk away and he was just screaming at me, yelling at me and I didn't I don't know. That's really I don't know. I'm like thinking about too much. I'm I don't know. It's just too much to right now. What did you tell him? >> That he was just screaming and yelling at you or >> Yeah, like I think screaming and yelling at me and it just wasn't a good night. Like we it turned into a real shitty night right as soon as we got to the hotel room and then I was just like I'm not going to sit here and listen to all this manager say happened. >> So he said that he heard the screaming and yelling, came out, saw him kind of like trying to keep her at the hotel and they were just screaming and yelling and she walked off and he went back. But how about punches? >> He did not see the punch. >> That's when he actually grabbed me cuz it wasn't really never that serious until he he actually like grabbed me after that. Then that's when I actually like like swung a full fist on him because he actually like grabbed me that time. >> Okay. >> And I did punch him after he punched me and like like you know what I mean? I guess it wasn't I don't know. It wasn't like technically a full punch, but he grabbed me and like destroy like it was it was a physical fight for sure. But I'm not trying to press any charges, so it really doesn't matter anyways. But um it matters a lot. He ended up grabbing me like this like around me, you know? And I had this arm and I was just like waiting to I didn't know what was going down, you know what I mean? So I was just like this and he grabbed me like my whole body and my arm and I just like was chilling. everything happened, you know, whatever. And then after that, once we actually started like physically like I guess you could say fighting because we were like grabbing on each other and you could talk to him right now. It was just stupid. He wouldn't even he would never put a hand on me like that. Like for real life like he would never put a finger on me like that, you know? He just he's not the type of guy to hurt somebody, especially in something like that. But never really been in this type of situation. >> Do me a favor. Have a seat. >> Okay. here. Stand up. >> I'll explain it to you in a second. >> I'm going to explain explain to you here in one second. >> Did your name's Katrina, you said? >> Yes. >> In Florida, we're required to arrest the primary aggressor. >> One second. We're required to to arrest the primary aggressor basically to separate you guys for the evening. Yeah, for sure. >> So things don't escalate, >> right? So you're going to get out tomorrow. >> Yeah. >> And you guys can figure things out tomorrow. >> Hopefully things don't get physical. >> Stay in jail tonight. >> Well, you have to stay in jail for like 5 hours till first appearance. >> All right. >> I can't have anybody come pick me up. I have to >> after first appearance, you somebody could come pick you up. >> Okay. >> All right. Do >> you guys have to take anything in my pockets? I'm sorry. When will I get out? >> Uh about 9:00 in the morning. >> So, like he said, like you're only going to be in for about 5 hours. Okay. >> I don't think we officially start this week. No, >> don't pull away from Okay. All right. >> So, >> no, we we talked. What happened to your fault? >> He fell. All right. Your trespass. >> So, is she How long were you guys in Key West? I'm telling you all we have to we have to go off of is what we heard is what the witness is telling us and it's saying that that there was mutual combatants. Okay. >> What's that? >> Nobody. There was no >> You have a mark on your eye. >> Told you I found >> Yeah. Okay. That might work in Illinois. It's not going to work here. All right. So, you're trespassing from the property. You can't come back tomorrow. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Of course you have to. Okay. >> You're going to jail for for battery. Battery. >> Battery. >> I don't touch nobody though. >> Stop. Turn around. >> Didn't they say they saw that on the video or whatever? >> Get in. Face that with. Both the man and the woman were charged with domestic battery.
