During my two decades with the LAPD, I'll learn one hard truth. Even the simplest trespassing call can escalate into a far more serious incident in a matter of minutes. >> What's your name, ma'am? >> You ready for it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. My name is Alisia. >> I I'll give you a fist bump. I don't >> I don't want to do that. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Um, this is my boyfriend. >> Okay. >> Speak up. >> So, she's having like a manic episode right now. >> Who's having a boyfriend? >> That is his wife. He doesn't >> deal with me and my wife are separated. Okay. >> Okay. So, um, >> so are you guys like all friends? Is that why you're hanging out over here or like what's going on? >> Well, so me and her hang out. They stay away from each other cuz they don't get along. >> Okay. [snorts] >> But like I said, she's been having a man manic episode and they >> Who's been having a manic episode? >> Uh, Elise. >> Okay. >> Hello. >> All right. What's going on tonight? >> Yeah. Um, she's just really intoxicated. I've asked her to leave. It kind of became like a yelling match. We didn't touch each other. >> Okay. I >> how how do we know everybody here? >> Okay, so my name's >> Jessica. >> I called. Apparently, she called, too. >> Yeah, that's right. >> That's Alisia. She's a friend with my husband. >> Okay. >> Other friends. She just lives right around the corner. >> Okay. >> She don't live that far. She could walk. [snorts] >> So, your husband, what's his name? >> Allan. >> Allan. They're friends and she just came over just to hang out tonight. >> Just to hang out. Okay. >> They do all the time. It's fine. But she was driving past a lot, honking her horn, going ballistic. I guess he coached her inside. I don't know. I wasn't around. >> Okay. So, he invited her. >> Yeah. And I just asked, "Hey, I got to go to bed early. I got to be at work. I got to be at 4:30." >> Yeah. >> I work at the hospital. Yeah. I'm not getting any sleep. >> His friend was inside. [snorts] They were playing video games. I'm like, "Hey, you know, the you need to entertain him. He's eating dinner. My kids the kids are asleep. I need to go to bed, too." She won't leave. And I'm like, "You need to leave. She won't leave." I said, "This is my home. this is my property and I'm telling you to leave. >> Finally, after a while, I was like, "All right, I'm calling the cops." So, she goes, "Call." I was like, "Okay, I'm gonna go inside, let him pull her off. Maybe he can talk to her and walk in." Cuz I really don't want to call. >> So, who all lives here? You, your children? >> My husband. >> Your husband and my mother. >> I'm sorry. What was his name again? >> Allan. >> Allan. So, you, Alan, your children, and then >> my mother. >> Your mother. Okay. >> Yeah. He has a friend over. Friend, they're playing video games. >> Okay. Look, man. I've seen this movie before. We got a lot of stuff to kind of flush out already and nothing has happened just yet. So, you got uh the PR and the RP, right? Person reporting and the reporting party are both uh Alicia and the uh the wife, you know, and man, you even have the mother-in-law at home, you know, along with the friends. So, everybody is home. Well, what I should say is that there's not much going on right now because now the cops got to figure out, okay, so what's the easiest, most simplest way to make this all go away, but it sounds to me like it's probably not going to be that easy. >> They were putting my ebike together. >> Okay. He's not having any issues. >> No, no, he's fine. He hasn't even been outside. He's like, I don't want to be anywhere. >> Yeah, I I see him sitting over there. >> Yeah, he's he has nothing to do with that. >> Okay. I I smell the alcohol on you. Okay. And I want to fight her >> and that's why I'm glad she called. >> Because I would have punched her in the face. >> Here's the thing, Alicia. Okay. >> I'm not on my own property. Blah blah blah. Get out of here. Go. I know. Oh, >> that's not what I was going to say. Okay. >> You You want to let me speak or are you going to interrupt me every time? >> Talk. >> Okay. Right now, you're intoxicated. You're not home. Okay. He's saying that you're being manic right now. How much did you have to drink? >> And then what? And then what? >> Nothing. How much did you have to drink? >> It doesn't matter. What are you What are you doing here? >> Where do you live? >> Close. >> Okay. Are you able to just go home? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Uh, obviously >> we're not doing this. You got to get out of here. >> No, you can't tell me what to do. >> I can I can't. >> No, ma'am. Back up. >> Bet. I can't >> back up. >> Or what? >> You're going to end up in cuffs. So, back up. >> Cuff me. >> There's no reason to get escalated. You're not in trouble right now, but if you keep escalating, you will be. At least they might let me walk you home. >> Okay. If he's able to walk you home or we give you >> We can do whatever, but I'm not going home. >> I'm about to him. >> You're about to You could at your house >> wherever I want. >> Not here. You don't I will. >> No, ma'am. >> I will him here. No, ma'am. >> Right now. >> Okay. She's alcoholic like that. She is the You'll see it. >> She switches. She won't stop. She likes to antagonize. So, I I I'll just say this. You guys You already said that you guys were in an argument. Nothing became physical, right? >> Nothing became physical. >> You called us, right? You wanted to say this, right? >> I did not. >> You did call us. >> I did not. >> Can you give me your address? I give you right now. >> You And I'm not going home with you. >> Okay. You can you call someone to come pick you up? >> It doesn't matter. You got to leave. >> I don't have to leave. >> You do? >> No, ma'am. >> You got to go. >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. So, if if he's, >> you know, what I would add is that, you know, I I want to go, but I can't because now we got this early conduct. Uh, you're drunk in public, right? And I think Allan said that she's manic or she's having a manic episode. Probably not a good recipe whatsoever. Things are escalating. And dude, that's her wife. And here comes the neighborhood rat, right? Aka the husband's side chick. And this is just not looking good at all. This is an ish sandwich if you know what I mean. >> Asked her to leave then we'll we'll get her off of the property. >> You can ask him to but it's >> I I'm just saying so since he invited her, we're going to have to get him. >> Two. I just I just can't handle it because one I'm I'm a very dominant person. I don't want to argue. I don't want to fight. When it comes to my domain, I want her out. >> I got you. >> Yeah. And this is a safety thing between us. She's actually a really nice person. when she's involved, alcohol is in her. She's >> And in case you would like to know a point of reference, and I've said this in the past in other videos, so if you're new to the channel, there's nothing that you can really get when an officer in a conversation, right? When you're doing an interview or when you're trying to get a statement with someone who's drunk, there's never going to be any comprehension, understanding, or some clarity whatsoever because they're just going to say whatever and probably not even remember what they actually said to the police. So, >> did you have anything to drink tonight? >> No, I don't. >> No. Are you able to give a ride to him? >> Yeah, I can give it. >> Okay. >> Okay. Bye. >> Give me a ride home. Bye. >> No, ma'am. You guys are separated, but you still live here, right? >> Right. >> Uh, clearly she has an issue with her >> and she also seems like to have an issue when she drinks. >> She's intoxicated right now. I don't know if you're underated. I don't Do you know if she's consuming any narcotics or anything like that? >> Uh, no. I don't. >> Okay. You guys probably should not be around each other. >> No, she's not supposed to be in my face. There's a respect thing where there's a law where you don't even live here. >> No, I'm talking about he's he's made because he does live here >> that's like you go there and this is here. >> Yes. You're an invited guest. And once you become disruptive and someone doesn't want you here, you're no longer an invited guest. >> Oh, you got back up now. >> He's been here the whole time. >> No, that's that's what you just backed up, too. >> Okay. >> She's been uncooperative. She stepped up to me. Um, she doesn't want to tell me where she lives. He's willing to give her a ride home. >> Don't give me a ride home. >> You got to stay here. >> DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO. >> HEY, CALLEN. YEAH. >> You live here, correct? >> Can you invited her over? >> Yeah. Okay. And you wanted her to leave now? >> You're willing to give her a ride home? >> Yeah. >> He does not want me to leave. >> He's willing to make her go inside. >> So, he's going to adhere to his wife. >> He's going to adhere to his wife. His wife doesn't want you here. >> So, he's going to help out his wife by uh making you go home. >> Hey, ask him how long how long ago did you get married? >> I'm not married. >> You're not. You're you're dust back up. When did you get married? >> Like 3 years ago. Back off. >> Can you back off or you going to go in cuffs? >> Do it. >> You're escalating the problem. >> I'm not doing anything. >> I want you to go home. If you want to go somewhere else, then that's going to be the day. >> If we GOT TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, LET'S GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. >> SO, you'd rather go to jail than go home. >> Then let's go. >> Just go home with him. You know, it's worth mentioning, and I said this in another video, and someone did make a comment about uh when I said that, hey, all the police wants to do is just kind of maintain the peace and they don't want to take anybody to jail. And I think the response I got was like, well, that's what police do is take people to jail. Like, people come on the job because they want to arrest you. You know what? It depends on the circumstances. Uh, in the video that I was breaking down, uh, it was like a family dispute where the father was arguing with the daughter at the beach. You know what? We don't want to take anybody to jail. Just, I don't know, go away. Stop arguing and and we'll be on our way, right? We're good to go. Same thing applies to this particular uh circumstance, right? this incident where look the easiest thing to do and I'm telling you right now a lot of cops because we have way better things to respond to more violent situations right where people need our help is to arrest you uh for being disorderly conduct or any other these little misdemeanor type of crime so let's just go home Alicia come on man just leave Allan step up bro kind like tell her look you know what you need to leave you can't be hanging out. I got too much stuff going on at home. I got my mother-in-law, my friend, kids, and the wifey. >> He's going to take you home. >> Come on. You're going to my house. >> Okay. >> Take you home. >> All right. >> Do you have your keys? Are you able to >> Bye. Bye. We're going home. >> Stop waving your hand in my face. Stop waving your hand in my face. >> Ma'am, I'm not leaving until you're off the property. >> You You have to leave. Okay. >> You got to back up. >> No, I don't have to do anything. >> You got to do whatever the you like. >> No, it's not how it works. Get out of here. >> Oh my god. Y'all get the out of here. >> Come on. >> Ma'am, you don't live here. You can't give us demands. >> Turn around. I can't. >> Ma'am, let's go. >> Property. >> Yeah. >> You don't want to have to go to jail. >> Stop. Stop. >> We're trying to give you a ride home. >> And now you're going to escalate and you're going to end up going to jail. So stop. >> I wish you would. >> I don't want to go to jail, Alicia. >> I wish you would. No, you don't. >> He's got an injured collar bone. Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Take my key. Take my key. >> Stop resisting. >> Please. >> Stop it. >> Stop. Get the away from me. >> Now you're going to get >> I don't care. >> Figure out you. You're either going to jail or the hospital now. So good. >> All right. Since you want to be difficult, >> my collar bone, by the way, if you hurt him, it's actually injured and broken. >> So, why don't you walk normal like an adult? >> Because now I can't. Y'all are rushing me. >> Set her in the car real quick. >> Finally, they feel like I'm okay. Put me in the car real quick. >> You're making this worse. >> This is so stupid. >> I told you all you need to do is to go home. >> You made this happen. Sit down. in the car. >> Sit down right now. >> Sit in the car. >> So, here's the thing. I I really don't want to take her to jail. But she can't obviously stay here or act like this. She's going to be disruptive at at whatchamacallit at her house. >> Stop talking. >> Stop talking so I can explain something. >> We're going to see what our options are now. >> I don't want to talk to YOU ANYMORE. CONTINUE TO TALK TO YOU. FELONY >> AND GET OUT of here. I just want to get out of the car. Let me go home. >> Okay. Can we >> I don't want to go with you. Then unhandcuff me. Let me go home. >> No, you don't. >> Or just let me out of the car. >> All you got to do is be cooperative with us. Otherwise, >> I don't care. Just let me go home. >> It's She's not necessarily >> And just to add to all this that's, you know, going down right now is the fact that, you know, this is the part where the comprehension doesn't make sense, right? All she had to do is be quiet and she'd have went home. And again, it's kind of hard to get that message across when you are intoxicated, right? And I believe she's probably taking meds. We don't know that yet, but we are going to get her some MT, right? Some medical treatment probably before we arrest her if they decide to actually take her to the Gray Bar Motel. Okay. >> Under arrest right now. We just have to figure out >> she was being unruly to us and uncooperative. So, we put her in handcuffs just to detain her. Yeah. >> So, because she was getting up in our face and she wasn't following lawful commands, so we put her in handcuffs. >> Close the door. >> Give me a minute. You're not on the calm down. You can breathe just fine. >> Open the door, you can't breathe. >> You can breathe just fine. >> Open it up, stupid. >> Stop cursing. >> You >> can you give us a minute so me and my partner could talk, figure out what we're going to do, and then we'll let you know. Yeah, I'm just >> if you can hang out over there. >> Yeah, go away. >> Alicia, >> what? Let me the out of here. >> We want to take you home. >> I need I need to know where to >> Can I get out of here? >> Yeah, we're going to try to get out of here, but I can't walk home. I'm very close. >> We're going to take you home. I don't want you walking in the condition that you are in. >> I don't want you driving me. >> We're going to take her home. >> If she caus an issue over there, then she's going to go to jail. >> You got to make a left, you dumbass. Quit looking at the screen. It's a left. It's a left. Soing cute. Soing cute down. >> I'm at home. Oh my god. I'm at home. You stupid. >> You're home, >> ma'am. >> Once we take the cuffs off, go inside the house. >> Leave me alone. I wish you would do something. You >> You're going to jail for battery. >> You just kicked me. So, do you want to go inside the house or do you want to go to jail? >> I didn't touch you. >> I'm trying to let you go in there. Stop. You have two choices right now. Home or jail. >> Do you want a felony or do you want to go home? >> We're trying to help you out. >> You're cute. >> We're trying to help you out. I don't care what you say. >> I don't care about you. You >> look, I'm just trying to let you >> I don't care. Shut the up. Just get me out of the house. >> You need to stop talking >> or leave me in. >> Hey, do you want to go to jail? >> Shut the up or leave me in them. >> Ready? >> They're both stupid. This one's cuter. >> All right, go in the house. >> This one's stupid as >> Go home. I'll do whatever I want to do now. >> I will until you leave because [ __ ] to you and I'll do whatever. >> You don't realize we're cutting you a break right now. >> I don't want to do what >> you don't. >> Can you stop? >> My [ __ ] >> Get in the house. >> Is Is she normally like this? >> Come on, Alberto. Come on. >> Go inside. >> Come on, Alberto. >> I need to talk to him. I'm always like this, you dumb. Okay. >> I do whatever the I want to do all the time. It doesn't have anything to do with you. >> I'm about to punch those glasses off your face. >> Go ahead. >> I almost did earlier. >> Okay. Go ahead. >> When I had it in me. >> You're lucky. You're not going to jail. You don't understand. We're cutting YOU A BREAK. >> OH, BREAK. GOOD JOB. GOOD JOB, GUYS. >> Can you please explain to her in the morning? You >> okay? Have a good day. >> Go inside. Get off my property. Get out of here. >> You're being a great example to your child. >> Shortly afterward, the woman got into her vehicle and attempted to return to the residence she had been asked to leave. >> Get out of the car. Get out of the car. >> I can't. >> You're You're DUI. Okay. Get out of the car. You're under the influence. That's why we drove you home. Get out of the car. >> There's no keys here. >> I don't care. >> I want to go. Just >> get out of the car. >> I can't drive. to see if my cannot drive. >> They're not here and I'm walking back home. >> We gave you a ride home for a reason. Why are you back? BECAUSE MY TRUCK IS HERE IN THE MORNING. >> Get out of the car. >> Alan could drive this over. >> Get out of the car. I'm not going to ask you again. >> I cut you a break the first time and now you're back here and I'm trying to go home. >> No. No. GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> THE CAR IS IN THE ROAD. >> I don't care. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. I'm going to pull you out the car. Hey, >> the keys are over here. Allan's got them. Allan's going to Allan's going to take your vehicle home. Allan, can you drive me home? >> Get out of the car. >> Go to the passenger seat. Come on. >> Okay. >> I let go. Slide over to the passenger seat. Can you not >> a console? >> I'm gonna walk around. >> Okay. >> Alan, you can drive me home. >> He's grabbing the keys right now. >> He's right here. >> Yep. >> We're going to follow you home and you're going to stay home. >> I probably won't. But >> why? >> But because I don't want it. >> All right. >> See if we know what's going on. We're We're all familiar here. You leave. Get the out of here. >> Stop. Alicia, they're letting me take you home. Just stop. If anything happens, give us a call. Okay, >> I know. I know it's a 2 minutes, >> but just be careful driving. >> Just go. Okay, >> hold on. >> Hey, Alicia, you're trespassing here. >> You're a trespass from here. So, if you return, you're going to jail. >> If you come back onto the property, >> you're going to jail. >> And I'm also going to charge you with a felony battery. >> Go, go, go, go. >> If you come back, you're going to jail. >> I've cut you a break now. >> Have a great night. Just so we know, if she comes back, are you gonna want her to go to jail? Because we can't keep doing this. >> I think it's up to you guys. I will. >> We still need you to say, "Yeah, I want to pursue." Okay. >> If you come back to that house, you're going to go to jail. >> Bye. You're cute. >> If you go to the house, you will go to jail. >> Do it. Get inside the house. >> Bye. I don't have to do that. >> This is the public street. >> You don't want your intoxicating. >> I don't have to do anything. >> You're publicly intoxicating. >> Stop. You've got to get in your car and leave. >> I don't have to do anything. >> That's all you got to do. >> Well, all you have to do is actually go home. And it doesn't seem to be working whatsoever. So, about the only solution tonight, right, is to the Gray Bar Motel. Look, she's just stacking on the charges. Totally disrespectful, rude, boisterous, loud, and she's drunk. To top it all off, you got the DUI. And again, these are the kind of uh service calls that cops deal with every day, right? to the point where you got to make a decision right because you got the trespassing about the only solution is going to be like I said already right at the Greybar Motel it's probably best for all parties and Allan you got to step up man if I were you I would just you know what yeah you don't want to be dealing with uh with Alicia >> public road actually >> so am I okay >> yeah thanks >> while you're intoxicated >> oh no I'm not >> public intoxication >> I can smell it off of you >> I don't care I can smell You're a freaking [ __ ] >> You You realize you committed the felony, so I I could take you to jail right now. >> I didn't do anything. >> Yeah, you did. >> You're a [ __ ] and you're a liar. >> I'm not a liar. >> You're a liar. >> I'm not. >> You're a liar. >> Okay. >> Are we going to just keep going back and forth? >> So, what do you want to do? >> Okay. I'm going to call Nate if you want to hang out. >> All right. Bye. >> Shortly afterward, the woman got back into her vehicle, started it, and drove away, prompting officers to conduct a traffic stop. 214. Copy a 1050 on the vehicle. Alicia is driving. >> Get out OF THE TRUCK. GET OUT OF THE TRUCK. >> She's going south on Drive. >> GET OUT OF THE TRUCK. HANDS UP. >> GET OUT. >> HANDS UP. SHE'S GOT A KNIFE IN HER HAND. >> LIGHTER. >> I got Let's see. >> 214. She jumped out of the truck. She's in the backyard now. >> Stop. She's going around the house. Get down on THE GROUND. DO IT NOW. You're going to get tased. GET DOWN ON THE GROUND. GET DOWN ON THE GROUND. >> You want to get a taste? Taste. Get down on the ground. >> Oh my god. Get your job. >> We're done with you. >> I don't care about you. >> You know she's drunk. She drove. >> I did not drive. >> She refused to comply. She's going to jail. >> I'm not. And I did not. Oh, baby. you are hurting me. >> And if I may interject again, look on and a point of reference is and I've talked about this in other videos. Again, if you're new to the channel, we welcome you. Is this ATD, right? This ask, tell, and do. I think some othermies across the nation call it ATM. Ask, tell, and make, right? And that decision for you to ask someone to do, you know, you got to do this. Hey, put your hands behind your head, right? And they don't. Next thing you do, you make it or you do it, right? And that decision for every deputy or officer comes with a lot of tolerance level, right? As you can see. So, uh it's just one of those things where as you can see, it's not an easy job. You're always dealing with the unknown. You don't know she's armed. And again, like back in the days when you're a young cop, I know I used to always uh be taught worst case scenario, you never know what they're actually holding. That's why we always like to see hands. So, just wanted to kind of explain and flush out those particular details when you're dealing with law enforcement. Okay. >> So, you almost hit me. You fled from us. You ran around the house. You didn't do anything wrong. >> And you went back to the house that you were trespassed from >> that you crumbled the paper. >> No, I dropped him off. I I dropped him off because he was like, "I got to get home." And it was like, "You're drunk. You can't drive." So, we cut your break on the battery. Now, you're going to jail for fling and looting. DUI resistant arrest. >> Go to youring car and leave. >> Go away. >> Take off, buddy. >> Go. >> My phone's dead. >> Bye. Phone's dead. >> I'll be out in the morning and I'll be making your world miserable tomorrow. >> Get all your paperwork done. Come on. Do it. Do that paperwork while you're driving. Isn't this illegal? You stupiding. Quit typing while you're driving. What's the road? [music] >> That's right. What's the road? That's just why this week we want to cause a problem where there's not a problem in the first place. And then you want to make people suffer because you're a get it at home and you got beat up in high school and now >> Okay, so some final thoughts. First and foremost, big shout out to Flaggler County Sheriff's Office, right? Those deputies. Outstanding work, man. Look, a lot of tolerance. You know, I'll give you that. Look, bringing a side check to the house where your wife and kids still live is a self-inflicted disaster. Okay? Look, these deputies tried hard to deescalate and avoid arrest, which is often the right approach, right? But there comes a point when public safety has to take priority. All right? Now, the system can't fix stupid decisions made before we even get the call. All right, hope you learned something. Okay, so Alicia was charged with the following: fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest. However, no public available information was found regarding the final court outcome. Okay, you know, most of these body cam videos of this type end at the arrest and do not follow the case through the court system.
