Early on February 3rd, 2026, officers in Jonesboro found themselves dealing with a driver who simply refused to stop for lights and sirens. The confrontation only ended after officers broke the window and physically restrained the driver while she allegedly fired the taser toward police during the struggle. She was then arrested at the scene without further incident. Authorities later documented allegations tied to fleeing law enforcement and attempting to use the taser against responding officers. On September 4th, 2023, an Arkansas State Police trooper spotted a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack flying down the interstate at speeds most drivers only see in racing games. The young driver reportedly had no intention of stopping and leaned heavily on the muscle car's horsepower advantage to stay ahead. an hour. >> Yeah, I got a guy coming. He's just a long ways away. >> All right. that car while it >> that strategy eventually collapsed once traffic tightened and troopers anticipated where the Challenger would lose room to maneuver. Officers managed to outsmart the driver and bring the pursuit to an end without allowing the extreme speeds to continue indefinitely. The case became another reminder that even cars capable of nearly 180 mph still have to deal with traffic coordination and patience from pursuing troopers. On December 14th, 2020, a stolen Lexus GS triggered a license plate reader alert in Fulton County and led a Georgia State Patrol corporal straight to a gas station in East Point. The encounter escalated instantly when several occupants bailed out on foot and the driver allegedly rammed a patrol vehicle to escape. >> Getting on 166 east. Investigators later prepared charges tied to vehicle theft and fleeing while sorting through the crash scene and rollover damage. Sunday morning, December 4th, 2022 began with a 911 caller reporting that his friend's red Chevrolet pickup had been stolen and spotted inside a Santa Fe mobile home park. The pursuit became another example of how quickly interstate traffic can turn chaotic once a felony vehicle refuses to stop. A traffic stop for speeding on June 18th, 2022 quickly spiraled into something much bigger after a trooper pulled over a black Chevrolet Impala from Texas. The driver initially appeared cooperative before suddenly taking off and forcing officers into a dangerous pursuit. 050 8 David 79. I don't know the state yet. Investigators continued examining the stolen vehicle and the suspect's criminal status afterward. The incident added to a growing list of Florida pursuits involving armed offenders refusing to surrender peacefully. On April 26th, 2025, Arkansas State Police spotted a black Chevrolet Camaro with expired tags before the driver launched into a reckless sprint through Columbia County. Speeds quickly climbed past 115 mph while the Camaro crossed center lines and narrowly missed pedestrians. Right. Checking me. Coming up to the intersection here at 7982 east. The pursuit ended after a high-speed intervention sent the Camaro crashing into trees and rolling over, forcing troopers to carefully clear the wreck before pulling the driver out through the back of the vehicle. Emergency crews responded as officers confirmed no additional passengers were trapped inside. Investigators later documented the extreme speeds and dangerous driving behavior that unfolded before the crash. By the afternoon of July 30th, 2025, an Arkansas trooper attempted to stop a white Ford F250 near North Little Rock for improper lane usage. Instead of speaking with officers, Zachary Brinsen allegedly bolted from a parking lot and tore through traffic at more than 100 mph. I'm with him. 10375, sir. 585 primary. Troopers used a taser to take him into custody after the foot chase. He was later transported for medical evaluation and booked on charges including felony fleeing reckless driving criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, and fleeing on foot. Cases like this are a reminder that some drivers will risk absolutely everything just to avoid getting caught for a few more minutes.
