Additional charges were still pending in Smith County. On January 19th, 2024, Florida Highway Patrol spotted a black Hyundai Santa Fe driving aggressively on Interstate 95 near Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. The driver, later identified as Jaquan Davis, was following too closely, making reckless lane changes and forcing other motorists to react before the attempted traffic stop turned into something much bigger. She was also accused of spitting on a Broward Sheriff's officer while in custody. In the evening, Michigan State Police were responding to a shots fired call at a club when witnesses reportedly pointed officers toward a white Chevrolet Impala. The attempt to stop that vehicle immediately turned the investigation into a pursuit, although the available information does not establish whether the person arrested was actually connected to the reported shooting. Let me take this priority. There's no traffic speed 50. All right, we're still eastbound. We're up to 75 and we're 375 through Russell. Speed 50. It's a white Monte Carlo. The driver was taken into custody after the vehicle was stopped and officers continued working to determine what role, if any, the suspect had in the club incident. Based on the available facts, possible charges could include fleeing and eluding reckless driving and any weapons related offenses supported by the investigation. On October 15th, 2024, at 8:59 p.m., Arkansas State Police joined a pursuit reported by Sherwood Police as a vehicle traveled west through the Interstate 30 construction zone. Troopers Robert Plyer and Corbin Freeman entered the pursuit as the driver of the Toyota continued refusing to end the situation. >> Just get it patched. Hands up. >> Why would you hit my car? Hands out. >> Can I car? >> Keep your hands up. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> Jordan Norris was arrested after refusing repeated commands to leave the vehicle and trooper Plyer later learned that his left little finger had been fractured during the arrest. Norris was turned over to Sherwood police while the reported circumstances could support charges involving fleeing and eluding reckless driving, resisting arrest, and other offenses arising from the pursuit. On July the 2nd, 2024, Los Angeles police were tracking a vehicle reported stolen as three occupants drove erratically through Los Angeles traffic. The driver repeatedly ignored traffic rules and used shoulders ramps and opposing lanes to avoid the officers following from the ground and air. PD southwest units I believe making a beline to that intersection and they're trying to catch up to this vehicle uh that is now possibly getting onto an on-ramp to the freeway right now. We're going to make sure what uh uh we're going to find out exactly what on-ramp that is. And it looks like he's going to be taking the 10 eastbound towards downtown. And that is the 10 east. And I can see those LAPD units. You have five LAPD units speeding up towards that car and trying to do the best that they can to catch up and go uh northbound 110. And you can see that unit getting really close there. That's an LAPD Southwest Division officer >> getting really close as the suspect uh now comes to a stop. LAPD apparently these officers have been approved for a pit. So, they've been given the go-ahad to perform a pit maneuver. So, that may be what that officer is trying to do. Although, at these extremely slow speeds, that uh may not be possible until until the uh driver gets uh out in the open a little bit more. Now, we've exited the freeway. This is one of the options I was talking about here that you can take from that interchange. And now we're southbound on Hoover in the University Park area. If we continue down this stretch, we'll end up in the USC area. And there there there you go. That's the dangers of being on surface streets as compared to freeways. You have pedestrians possibly in the way. And now we're picking up speed a little bit, using that center median again, uh, and swerving around other traffic as those LAPD Oh, and now we're going the wrong way. Almost hit a box truck. You can see that LAPD unit keeping close behind. All the LAPD units keeping close behind as now we make a left turn eastbound on West Adams Boulevard. Now picking up a little bit of speed, still using that center lane. And those LAPD units from the Southwest Division staying right behind this driver as he picks up speed hitting almost 70 mph. Continuing westbound now on West Washington Boulevard around the trees. We'll uh maneuver for that shortly. And as I look out the PD units are uh doing a good job keeping up with this. I'm honestly quite impressed because usually when you see wrongway driving such as this as we pull into what might be a dead end, uh we'll move around the bridges here and see what's on the other end of that road. But uh normally when uh drivers go the wrong way, LAPD doesn't really uh keep as as close of a distance to the vehicle as he normally would. And now we're doing U-turn. Looks like that was a possible spike attempt by that officer that came up really close and that officer was able to dodge out of the way. I'm not sure if that was a successful strike spike and somebody just possibly climbed out the window or threw something out the window. Uh and now the driver speeding away down West Washington Boulevard. That was definitely an interesting turn of events. this driver and the passengers seemingly uh really >> the good thing is I guess this is more of an industrial you know area where people are it doesn't seem like there's a lot of res >> making a right turn. >> Yeah. Anyway, >> right turn on West 18th Street. >> Oh boy. >> Yeah. And again, Gabe, you were just saying it a moment ago. This driver keeps finding themselves in a position where they Oh, did they hit that? Did they hit the van? It looked like >> I think he scraped one of those cars there. Boy, that guy was just minding those b his own business and opening his door. Next thing you know, >> we're looking on the right side. Oh, yeah. Ellen, where he came very close to hitting up somebody in the crosswalk walking uh trying just minding their own business. Again, these are always so shocking when you're somebody who's just completely unaware that this is [music] happening on Gabe, you're back with us. We hear your microphone open again. Um I don't see any LAPD, so it's Has it still been a terminated uh pursuit? Yeah, Colleen, at this point, uh, we do know that LAPD has terminated, uh, this pursuit on the ground. They still have the air unit overhead. That air unit still keeping an eye, uh, on this vehicle to make sure that if they do pull over, if they do get out, uh, that air unit will be able to uh, report that information to the officers on the ground. And uh also if this vehicle gets involved in an accident or anything like that as we pull down an alleyway uh you may start to wonder if this vehicle uh knows someone in the area knows maybe their home is in the area. This pursuit started uh a little further south south of the uh Lera Heights area. Uh so we don't know if they're from that area or if the driver or other passengers are from this area more south of downtown. Um but in in the past few minutes or so uh with the lack of officers behind Oh, and we're stopping behind a tree and this this I think is what and we have people four five people I think we saw five people jump out of this vehicle and now they're running down the sidewalk and they look like they're running into this property here into the backyard. 1 2 3 four >> at least four. I think I saw five. Yeah, I think so too. Continuing into the back alley here and LAPD, the air unit, they're reporting that information down to units on the ground. So, you'll start to see >> I think they're kind of trapped in this back area would be the fence is pretty high. >> Yeah. Yeah. Uh it it it does appear that there's kind of nowhere out from there. The the the fence line looks a little too high to jump. Uh and these these suspects now using the trash can, hopping over that, looking over there. Uh seeing what's on the other side there. Looks to be another alleyway. Uh and they're going to continue down that alleyway, but I'm trying to look out to see if uh LAPD has units. I can see the air unit uh orbiting the scene. They have on these suspects and where they're going. And I can see they're uh continuing to run down this alleyway onto this uh cross street here, but I believe that's going to be Griffith Avenue. You have uh two of them already crossing the street. Another one uh crossing the street now and another one in tow after that. >> Did we lose one of them? >> I think maybe possibly if there was five, the fifth one went in a different direction. >> Yeah, that's that's definitely possible at this point. We're trying to keep eyes on the driver which we believe people just stay in your house and don't come out and >> try to you know confront when people are trying to get away. You just >> Yeah. >> Oh dear. >> Yeah. You have you have other other residents here maybe having a confrontation with one of the suspects. Uh I'm not sure if these two >> they were part of but >> so these two were part of it also on the run. I'm trying to keep one ear to the uh LAPD radio frequency to see uh I don't believe that last person is not. No, that person is just trying to keep their eyes on it. And you know sometimes it's best to stay out of it >> and now they're going into this other uh yard. >> Who this person? Two of them. And who is this woman? >> We definitely lost one, Ellen. I feel like there was five, but we definitely saw four. And now this woman is not having it. >> Yeah. No, the uh at one point maybe she's going to turn around and say, "You know what? I don't I want to or she knows them. The one thing is she might know them." >> Yeah. Trying to talk to him like, "Stop this. They do look young. >> Flatten it out a little bit. >> Yeah, they >> they do look young. >> Well, the way they were jumping over fences and and running along, they definitely are young. Look at that. Um >> Yeah, you can wait. She's guiding them back into >> You have to wonder. Yeah, you you have to wonder if these if if these res residents know who these kids are and we're kind of telling them to go back home. uh which uh would lead me to believe that they are they are from this area or or at least >> traffic. Have they Have they gone inside this building? >> They have not. No, at this point they're they're trying to get officers uh in position and get the officers on the ground aware of what's going on. It was Southwest Division officers that were originally involved in this pursuit and these are central division officers now pulling up to the scene because that's the area that we're in now. So, uh, the air unit is trying to get those central division officers up to speed on what they saw and what they, uh, who who they need to find. So, those officers are, uh, slowly kind of pulling up to, uh, the address here and trying to gather information as best as they can with the information that they are getting from the air unit. Uh, and we're trying to figure out if they're going to get more uh, units from central division here to see if they can uh, go inside this home and uh, talk to these kids or uh, see if they uh, see, you know, if they uh, try some other means to try and uh, uh, take these people into custody. >> Yeah, you see a couple residents um, coming out of that apartment building and and talking to the officers there. Perhaps you're going able to get some information from them. >> Yeah. We'll see. I mean, it's always hard. They don't I mean, it's a stolen car, but we didn't hear anything about any um weapons or so. Hopefully, they're unarmed and um and they give up peacefully and even though it doesn't appear like it's going to be an easy um apprehension. Picture from the end of this purs well not the end of the pursuit, but uh they foot bailed just a few minutes ago and now they're inside that building. We saw at least four suspects go into that building and now officers are outside of that complex uh trying to figure out what to do and and where [music] to find these suspects and where they are inside that building. >> All right. Well, we're going to keep an eye on this and keep you posted, of course, and let you know uh the final result of this pursuit, which has been very strange and erratic, and thankfully we haven't seen anybody injured. Um hopefully >> the ground pursuit was eventually terminated because continuing through the city had become too dangerous while the LAPD air unit continued monitoring the vehicle. The occupants later abandoned the vehicle and ran into a nearby residential area. Possible charges included possession of a stolen vehicle, evading police reckless driving, and resisting or obstructing officers. On February 20th, 2024, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted a blue Chevrolet truck on State Road 228 after its plate had been flagged as stolen out of Jacksonville. Once the trooper confirmed the vehicle, the driver turned on to County Road 217 and accelerated away, taking the investigation from a stolen vehicle alert into a twocount pursuit. All right, we're coming up on a stop six now. Watch yourselves. Scott's not successful. Coming up on the sticks now. Next police launch. >> Good hit. Good hit. Good hit. Back off. I think they're going to try to stick them again up here. So, you'll watch yourself. My front's out and smoking. The nest opens up behind us. Three everywhere from the tire speed slowing to the northbound 65 48 down. Hey, just a heads up. I can't see on my left mirror there. Tires separated. Successful hit again. Both right side tires are disabled. Maximum timber breakdown. We just clear 67 95 and 200. They got top sticks. Every try, one time I try to give myself, he tries to ring me. Being laid. Watch yourself. Right lane. Right lane. Hit probably tic tac my tic tac still the other day. Hey, just look up under that seat real quick, Mike. Make sure. It's clear. >> All right. >> Stand right here for a minute cuz I didn't patch you down, man. >> You ain't got nothing on. >> Great. >> All right. Go ahead, man. I'll see. I'll cover you up with this. >> Okay. Thank >> you. You want my hand, man? your hand. >> I can't switch them puffs around. >> I can't feel mying fingers, bro. >> Okay. >> In here. >> Loosen it up some for >> the last time I saw you. >> Yes. Give me two two seconds. I'll be right there, Lieutenant. >> I know. I know you get >> I apologize. >> Is that better? >> Yes, sir. Do what? Man, what' you say? >> I apologize. >> Yeah, man. Here's the thing, man. Look, you put all these other people and literally when you going head on. What? What if you should I do got kids? >> Yeah, man. What if I have been one of them, right? That's That's where I come in to play, right? >> I should have never did that. >> Should just pulled over. I should have just pulled over. >> That dude That dude let me I got the keys now to the truck. >> You go to the You can rewind the cameras on. >> So, the truck is yours. You paid for it. >> It's not mine. >> Oh, okay. Whose is it? It's Brandon's. >> Okay. Brandon, what's Brandon's last name? >> I don't know his last name. >> Okay. All right. >> Um, >> we were supposed to bring the truck back last night. >> Okay. Did you call him and tell him or >> we we talked to him? I talked to him. >> Is he a buddy of yours? >> Yeah, I know him. >> Okay. >> I was helping him uh move the thing or whatever. He got pissed off. >> Okay. He got mad. >> He got mad or whatever. I was actually headed back to go get him the truck back. >> Oh, okay. And that's when he caught you. >> That's when Yeah. And I just >> Okay. All right, I'm going to close the door for a minute. Okay, I'll be right back up, man. >> Sorry. >> That's all. >> What's up? Did you say something? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Um, between me and you, right? >> What? Yeah, man. >> What if I can give y'all a big dope dope boy? >> Okay. What you got? Like what kind? Like >> f like how much? >> Or whatever you want. >> Seriously? >> Seriously? >> Okay. Let me go talk to them. I'll bring one of the CIU guys over. Okay. >> We can go. We can we can do we can do the sales right now. >> Okay, give me just a minute. >> The driver was eventually taken into custody after the truck's tires were disabled, and he later admitted he should have stopped instead of running. During questioning, he also offered information about suspected drug activity in exchange for consideration on his case. Possible charges included fleeing and eluding reckless driving possession of a stolen vehicle and drugrelated offenses. On July 9th, 2020, a Georgia State Patrol trooper spotted two motorbikes ignoring a stop sign in Griffin with one traveling on the wrong side of the road. When the trooper activated emergency equipment, both riders looked back and accelerated away instead of stopping. >> [groaning] >> Time to fight. That pass yellow bike. Now I'm making a right alter 13 street yellow dark black here. [screaming] Put your hands up. Get down on the ground right now. Get down on the ground. Come over here towards me. Who's your friend that's running with you? >> I don't know. I just met up with him. >> You don't know his name? Okay. >> All right. You got money in the corner. I'm going put your money up here in the front. All right. Matter of fact, I'm put it back in your pocket. All right. >> You're welcome. What you doing with that much money on you? >> I had a previous >> Okay. The riders split up and the trooper continued after the yellow motorbike until its rider crashed into a ditch and tried to limp toward the woods. Anna J. Ventavius Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Spalding County Jail. Possible charges included fleeing and attempting to elude reckless driving failure to obey traffic signs and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. September 21st, 2022 saw a Foresight County deputy attempt to stop a black motorcycle with no visible tag near Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The rider responded with an insulting gesture before accelerating away, giving Georgia State Patrol another reason to become very familiar with that particular motorcycle. >> 795 coming. I'll I'll do it. >> Guess what? You ain't get your bike again. How about that on that one? >> Yeah, you can tell 39. >> 39. >> We'll be 10. The rider identified as 17-year-old Jacob Oendorf was arrested after losing control in a gravel area and was later medically treated for minor injuries before being released to jail custody. Seven citations and one electronic warrant were secured. The reported violations included fleeing and eluding reckless driving, driving without a valid license, equipment violations, and other related offenses. April 20th, 2022 brought Los Angeles police into pursuit of a stolen Cadillac Escalade believed to be carrying an 18-year-old wanted in Texas along with two minors. Authorities said the vehicle was reported stolen from Texas. And officers believe the occupants could be armed, giving the pursuit an especially serious starting point. >> Out of the vehicle now running forward, there comes another passenger out of the back seat. These kids are struggling. And look at this. He's getting back in the vehicle. Another one back in the vehicle. And finally, CHP in the pursuit now. Right by Is that CHP or sheriff's? Yeah, CHP right behind him here. We're going to forget about that one passenger, but we now know of the driver and at least one other passenger. These were young men that jumped out of that vehicle and now the pursuit continues uh through the Santa Clarita Valley. Guys, this is very, very dangerous. >> Extremely dangerous, >> right? Considered armed, all three of them. So, that that's a very dangerous [music] situation there. Just the way he's driving through these into oncoming lanes of traffic. Going the wrong way now. Jump that median. And he is continuing the wrong way on Valencia Boulevard approaching Railroad Avenue. >> Look at this. Continuing with LAP. Look at this. Oh my god. Oh my goodness. A near head-on collision. Very, very close. A very close call there. One of several that we've seen here. And it's just getting more and more aggressive by the second. At least he's going the right way now. but showing no signs of slowing and uh if I really hope we don't see him get back into oncoming lanes of traffic. He he jumped over that median without any hesitation whatsoever. And you saw just how close he came to another head-on collision, but at least he's back going the uh he's going eastbound on Solidad. Eastbound Solid. And now making a left turn into what appears to be an apartment complex or a condominium. A U-turn through the entrance there. now going to Okay, he's going in circles. He's really toying with this officer here just doing a circle around this group of cars and he's into this apartment complex now, which I think leads him to a dead end. We'll widen out just a second and see if that's the case. You can see LAPD with their airship overhead. California Highway Patrol on the ground down there now face to face with this uh CHP officer. He's going for a run. They're both jumping out. Driver and passenger jumping out of the vehicle, running through this apartment complex. Unfortunately, only that one officer that we saw here. Not sure if they're familiar with this complex. If they live in this area, no idea. But in any event, they're running through here on private property waiting for more deputies to arrive on scene. I'm not sure that that one CHP cruiser is going to be able to catch up with them here, but they are continuing to race through these condos here in Santa Clarita. We'll see where this takes them. >> All right. Sorry. Go ahead, Joanna. Uh Jess Chris Christie, this is uh Jovana Lada and alongside Mark Brown. We're joining you now. And what a wild pursuit. These guys are driving or have been driving so dangerously. And now we are looking at them running through this complex [music] putting the people who live here likely uh in danger. >> They're they're moving towards this pool area. It looks like a pretty big apartment complex. They're on the rear side of it now just looking for a spot to hide out. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the name of this side street that they're coming up on. Actually looks like more of a bike path potentially behind the apartment. There's people there. Look at this. They're now approaching the pool with people in the pool, people enjoying their Wednesday afternoon. And these two are just running right along the pool deck looking for a hiding spot. We have to remind you, these two are believed to be armed as they run through here. They're believed to be armed grand theft auto suspects that now pose a danger to this community, but apparently they see law enforcement within their line of sight here. There's the officers with their guns drawn, approaching the suspects. Thankfully, appears they're finally giving up. >> One LAPD, one LA County Sheriff deputy, both approaching these suspects with guns drawn. They immediately dropped to their to the to the ground. That's the good news. The people in the pool, there was a looked like a little girl getting a swimming lesson out there. They've all cleared the pool. They're out. Everybody's out of harm's way. The little kid being hustled away, everybody leaving. >> Um, so they are out of harm's way. No shots have been fired. Uh, those suspects proned out uh now following the orders of the two law enforcement officers from two different agencies who have managed to stop them. This is off Solidad Canyon Road and we're going to try to get the cross street or that that bike path that's nearby. There's a wash that runs back behind you. >> Yes, Kurt just came in here and he said you he's very familiar with Santa Clarita and told us that is [music] a bike path uh that is uh that runs along the wash there. But what a relief. I've been so tense watching this. [music] It's been, it was just so dangerous how fast they were driving on those roads, going against uh oncoming traffic, uh jumping onto sidewalks, uh zigzagging through cars and at very high speeds. I really believe something bad that [music] this would end badly and thankfully um um these guys surrendered and no one was hurt. >> Two of the suspects were arrested after fleeing through the Villa Metro complex. While the status of the third suspect was not confirmed in the provided material, police also recovered a firearm along the 118 freeway. Possible charges included possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing, and eluding unlawful firearm possession and offenses connected to the outstanding Texas case.
