On January 8th, 2026, an officer on routine patrol was flagged down by bar staff regarding a disturbance. The officer observed a crowd gathered and two individuals ON THE GROUND. >> [music] >> HOW OLD ARE YOU? 21 YEARS OLD. >> OKAY. Stay right here. Don't you move. Listen, you just get detained, all right? Put your stomach on your back, okay? Where's your ID? It's in my pocket. I told you do not approach three times. Remember? You just get detained. I don't really care. All right, listen. You just get detained. You're not under arrest. Sit down right here. Sit down. Sit down. You're not going anywhere. All right, then stay right there for me, all right? Where's your ID at? Oh, I was just random bystander, like not involved in any parties. But them guys were trying to leave the bar. Them All right, just give me a second. I'm just letting you know, like them bouncers These guys are trying to leave. Just go over there for me. All right, I know. Just go over there. I'm just trying to tell you what's right. All right. You got my ID in there? Yeah. And your girlfriend What happened? What happened? Yo, she was with me. All right, just stay over there, all right? Just step over there with them for me, all right? Okay, just step over there for me. Okay, so just step over there Okay, like I said, I'm the last one here, so I know. I know. I know. I'm clearly the last person here. >> [music] >> Oh, it ended up being all of us. All right, it started in the back. I told the lady to try to go with them. She's got to put her shoes on. Glasses and stuff. He comes up to me. He comes up to me. He gets up on me. He's like, "Why you got to ruin something? What you Shoes, glasses, you don't need to wear them all. He's like, "Let's up. We're just trying to have a good time." He was coming at me. >> [music] >> And then that's when he like Mine was earlier. I didn't get into the brawl like that. That's when he grabbed my collar. That's when he started it all. And all we did was try to Yeah, and then that's when Like he stepped up. Like this. Then the son and the daughter came in. They were trying to get involved. [music] The son's the one on the curb right now. >> [music] >> Uh he was putting his like both of them were holding my arm at the same time. I was like, "Let go of my arm. We're just going to All I did like all we did was escort them out. I guess by the time it got here I didn't see what [music] happened at this spot. I know who was throwing punches already. So I assume he got outside. The dad was the one definitely throwing punches. What happened? Um I was telling her I told Alex to go tell her to put her shoes back on. And the guy just came up and hit him and he started yelling at Alex. Uh I told Alex to go tell her to put her shoes back on and the guy just came and got in my face. Everything and all that stuff started pushing around. I saw the guy grab Alex by the shirt right there and push her over. Uh push her over. And then the whole their little gang right there just came up on all of us. You got his ID on him? Yeah. Did you [music] see anything? Yeah, I saw all of it. All right, give me a second. Of course. >> [music] >> And I didn't do anything wrong except >> [music] >> I didn't even know that guy. I didn't even know that guy. What did they say? Oh, he just kept going. I tried to interfere, but All right, give me 1 second. Let me go to the What did they say? Uh basically that there's a the female that's standing with them, they were telling her to just put her shoes on. They're not involved. They're They're not with her. They're separated, so they were telling her to put her shoes on cuz that's her, you know, their policy or whatever. Yeah. Um and then he came up. The dad came up saying like, "Hey, like why you bothering her? We're just trying to have everyone's trying to just have a good time." And then he told him like, "It's our rule, you know, you need shoes and glass. Like you got to have them on." And then that's when the dad grabbed Alex, the the biggest the white the white security by his collar and he's got a like he's got a a hole in his shirt. Yeah. And then that's when Alex and the dad started scuffling and then Jean came in and tried to help. Yeah. And then while they were scuffling and fight fighting with him, the son ended up the son and the daughter ended up running up and the son was getting involved trying to help like grab arms grab grab the security's arms Yeah. and [ __ ] like that. So I guess that's when they got him out here and then whoever was here pulled him off. Um So but the wherever she's at, she's she said she's seen everything and she's willing to we'll get her to do whatever. Um if you could just go to the security guy. So basically um Okay. All right. So I've I've got the I've got the story now. So what's So what's up? So my brother Yes. was assaulted by bouncer. >> Okay. That's his son you have in the cop car. Yes. Okay. So he stood up for his father. >> Uh-huh. I stood back and and gave you the 25 ft. Now I'm about to get upset. I had I had I had to ask you multiple times, all right? I But I did. I respected your orders. Uh yeah, after multiple times. So technically I could have put you in handcuffs. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. You you eventually listened to me. But I'm not trying to take everybody to jail who's visiting here. >> He should not have gone in What is What is going on here? He didn't do anything. Can I explain to you what's happening? >> Go ahead, but you shouldn't be in there. Okay, I'm going to explain what's happening, all right? So they have a policy in the bar that people have to wear shoes because there's glass bottles. Some lady takes off her shoes that So you're not taking my nephew out of here in a cop car. This is ridiculous. Hold on. Listen to me. I'm explaining to you what happened, okay? So So your brother this lady that's not wearing shoes has nothing to do with you guys. Your brother doesn't know her. Your dad Your brother says to the bouncer, "What's up? We're just trying to have a good time." And he says, "It's our policy." Your brother grabs him. His shirt is ripped, okay? So that's a battery in Florida. That's an unwanted touch. No, I'm telling you, the place to argue this is in court, not with me or not with the officers. So once he commits that battery, they flag the officer. It is It is a battery. It is in Florida. They grabbed him and tried to kick him out. >> So here's another thing. In Florida, if a bar asks you to leave, their personnel can physically detain you until law enforcement arrives. If that means holding you down or whatever, that's why our our Florida law works. I'm just talking loud cuz you can't hear me. So regardless, they have a policy. Your brother grabs this guy. They flag down the officer. He says, "Hey, this guy just grabbed me." He detains him. Doesn't mean he's under arrest, right? Then your nephew, if it's my comes up because it's his dad, which I get, all right? And just like I had to give you multiple warnings they had to give him multiple warnings. I get it that it's his dad. That's his dad, right? But but but here's the thing. Do you not have a son? That's not the That's not the point. I I I have a heart, which is why which is why I didn't arrest you after I had to ask you three or four times to step But I stepped back, Right? You did. But not the 25 ft like I asked. But we're not out here to arrest everybody. But I I'll manage. Just arrest me then. Yeah, it's not going to happen. Then why not? You're a good You're You seem like a good guy. So was he. So was their father's guy. But but the reason that that law was put into effect in Florida, okay? Is because while cops are trying to affect an arrest, that we get ambushed from behind, especially when it's involving family members. Yeah. And because we love our family, right? So you're trying to place a a guy's wife under arrest or a woman's husband under arrest and it's I mean it it's This [ __ ] happens all the time. And we get sucker punched or whatever. So so when we give multiple warnings and you don't you don't listen to our warnings, then you could be placed under arrest. Okay. Hi. All right. I'm Natasha. Here's my ID. I live in Wisconsin. So what happened was I took off my shoes to dance. Security guard asked me to put on my cast. And then the fight turned into a I didn't know who was trying to holler at me. It was random to fight me in a weird way. It was I didn't care about putting my shoes on. And I just, you know, I'm a hippie. I want to take my shoes off, right? And then all of a sudden I I knew immediately I said, "If you don't want to get hit, back up." is what I said to my friends. You guys knew it was going to start. And then all of a sudden boom. And then while security guards were trying to take him out like a bunch of other people tried to jump on the security guard. Yeah, they were like they came like I mean And then like when they were coming out it was like five people in one like weird masks walking through. It was not the security Well, you're offended by like the actions What I'm saying by like not just the security guard's actions, like I don't know. Just like in a in a No, he honestly like what he said to me is like where are your shoes on? I was like, "Yeah, of course." >> saying not by the security guard's actions, but um No, cuz like he was actually was super nice to me cuz I didn't do anything at all the whole time. So he didn't do anything to me at all. I guess I think he was really trying to defend me and he doesn't even know me, right? I didn't even know I'm just cute like that, I guess. J Aszling. I hear you. So sorry. I mean I didn't have much to offer except I guess I was the culprit and I didn't even know. Right? I was the reason it happened. He was fighting over a girl, right? It's actually kind of a compliment. I said, "Good thing I'm in the shoulder tap game." like if you brush my Cell phone number? A thousand my voice at home or talk. All right. I I I have with you 100% what you guys go through on a daily is not what Yeah. Okay? I I I fully agree with that. What happened right here is not I mean I That's my dad. That's my brother. So look. So as far as your as far as your brother goes, right? There is a battery. It's an unwanted touch, all right? It was an unwanted It's it's it's it's more than that. Unwanted touch is this. That's a battery. But what what when this guy has a hole in his shirt that because because your brother grabbed him, that's that's an actual battery. >> his hands on his head inside the bar. All right? What what I did I'm being 100% honest. What I did was way worse. I went after the bartender or the the bouncer with the ripped shirt because he slammed him on his head. Uh-huh. Okay? Do you get what I'm saying? Because there's an unlawful battery there. So my brother was like, "Dude, this this this chick doesn't have shoes on." What What do you mean an unlawful battery? Like he picked him up and slammed him on his head. Yeah. So I was upset about that. Now I went after the guy. I said, "Dude, what are you doing?" Like Yeah. Like well, I mean one of the things we do and you know cuz your friends are cops is Yes. as we we talk to independent witnesses. Like obviously the the other uh employees of Irish Kevins um aren't going to be considered independent witnesses. Your your your family isn't considered independent witnesses. So we talk to third parties that aren't involved, right? >> Right. And we operate off of probable cause. That you you understand that. >> Yeah. I I heard So from what I'm from what I'm being told and again the place to argue this isn't on the road. It's in a courtroom. From what I'm being told is that your brother got involved because this chick didn't have her shoes on. He became physically confrontational with the bouncer. They detained him. They're allowed to detain him. They're allowed to put their hands on him if he starts any problem in their bar. That was in response to his battery. I get where your nephew's coming from. It's his dad. But again, we get we get sucker punched all the time. We get we get shot in the back all the time. Not Not in Key Not necessarily in Key West, but everywhere, right? So so that's why this law was put into effect last year. It's been around for about a year and a half, right? And it's there for a reason because this happens all over and the governor doesn't want that to happen in Florida no more. So your brother's going to jail for the battery and disorderly conduct. It's misdemeanors, right? Your nephew, it's a misdemeanor and to be honest with you, ultimately it's going to end up probably getting dropped. We used to have a drunk tank down here. After COVID they got rid of the drunk tank. It's like he was trying to stick up for a girl with no shoes on. And then the bartender to grab him and slam him on his head. I I'm I'm going to be 100% honest with you. I was the aggressor in the whole thing. I think I was the one who ripped his shirt off because he slammed You see your brother get slammed on his head. I went after him and ripped his chain off his neck. Yeah, I mean they're they're not saying they're not saying they're not saying that. No, they're not. I feel I feel wrong for not being arrested when those two got arrested and he was trying to stick up for the girl with no shoes on. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like Yeah. Yeah. If you want to arrest me like I'm I'm being 100% They they don't they don't want that and I don't want that. What I want is I want you to be the man of your family I I hear you. and not put and not put that burden on them to have to get all three of y'all out tomorrow. You you seem very level-headed I I am trying. That's going to be a lot for them to try to coordinate tomorrow. So maybe go home, sleep it off, wait for that call. They'll probably be calling you in about an hour or so. Okay. And uh be there to get them out of jail. All right, man. Very good. Thank you. According to arrest reports, the older male was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. The man's son was also taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest. Court records indicate the case remains pending with a hearing scheduled for late April 2026.
