On the evening of August 7th, 2021, the quiet streets of Tallahassee were interrupted by a white Toyota Corolla that refused to stop. This wasn't just a speeding driver. This was a stolen vehicle connected to an armed robbery earlier that same day. As Florida Highway Patrol units joined the pursuit, the driver, later confirmed to be a juvenile, pushed the car to dangerous speeds through city traffic. Got fire that way. That is a trooper. >> Trojan bail out. Bail out. about 80 milesPH vehicles on car Boulevard on Boulevard. Single four. behind your back. >> The high-risk chase ended with the teen safely taken into custody. Investigators later confirmed the vehicle was indeed linked to the armed robbery case that started it all. The young driver now faces charges including fleeing to elude, grand theft auto, and more. It's a stark reminder that one impulsive decision behind the wheel can change a life forever. February 7th, 2022, a Georgia State Patrol trooper spotted a Chevrolet Malibu clocked at 91 mph along Interstate 85. What began as a standard speeding stop quickly unraveled when the driver, later identified as Corey Anna Lewis, handed over false information and refused to come clean. Moments later, with her foot on the brake, she made a sudden decision that would send traffic into chaos. We got Are you sure? Never right here at uh Get out of the [screaming] car. Get out OF THE CAR. GET OUT. GET OUT. [crying] >> Get out of the car. Get on your back. Get on your back. You stupid. [screaming] Lay down. >> I don't care. Shut up. Don't talk. Just be quiet. >> Just be quiet. >> Stop talking. [screaming] Lewis's attempt to escape ended when troopers disabled her car near Sugarloaf Parkway, bringing the dangerous pursuit to a close. She was transported for medical evaluation before being booked into Gwynet County Jail. Her charges included fleeing to elude, providing false information, and more. For troopers, it was another example of how a single dishonest choice can escalate faster than anyone expects. On September 24th, 2023, a red SUV stolen from a driveway and left idling tore down the highway as deputies from Hillsboro County and the Florida Highway Patrol closed in. Inside were two teenagers, barely old enough to drive, yet willing to risk everything in that moment of reckless thrill. Okay. Go down the road. 50% up there. We got a white on there. Heat. Heat. person. Get out of here. Get out of your head now. Get out of here. >> Get out OF THE CAR NOW. GET OUT OF THE CAR. The chase ended on the Selman Expressway when deputies boxed in the stolen SUV. No one was seriously hurt, but the consequences were severe. A 15-year-old faced charges of aggravated battery on law enforcement, grand theft auto, and more. As Sheriff Chad Kronister later said, "If it's not yours, don't touch it." Words these young suspects will remember for years to come. On February 20th, 2024, Florida Highway Patrol troop G spotted a blue Chevrolet Silverado flagged as stolen out of Jacksonville. When the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on State Road 228, the driver hit the gas, steering the truck into the back roads of Duval and Nassau counties. As speeds climbed into triple digits, dispatchers coordinated from the air while troopers raced to set up stop sticks ahead. We got one running probably northbound passing through that driver. Watch yourself. Right lane. Right lane. After multiple tire strikes and a relentless pursuit, the driver was finally taken into custody. What followed was a surprising conversation as the suspect tried bargaining with troopers, offering drug connections in exchange for leniency. Those talks went nowhere and he now faces a long list of charges. Another long day ended with accountability rather than escape. It was December 21st, 2021 when the Nighthawks South Squad of the Georgia State Patrol joined a pursuit already in progress. A stolen car was tearing down Interstate 95, weaving recklessly through midday traffic. As multiple troopers coordinated across county lines, the chase became a dangerous dance of speed, precision, and teamwork under pressure right now. over there. Street 94. The suspect's run ended when troopers boxed him in after a series of tactical maneuvers. He fled on foot, but was quickly subdued in a nearby wooded area. Inside the stolen vehicle, investigators discovered drug paraphernalia and evidence of recent theft. The driver was charged with DUI drugs felony fleeing to elude and more. For the Nighthawks, it was one more case where coordination and restraint prevented tragedy. On November 8th, 2023, rush hour on Interstate 40 turned chaotic when a blue Yamaha sport bike flew past traffic at over 130 mph. The rider weaved between cars, showing no tag and no fear. Troopers would later learn that the man behind the helmet, 23-year-old Donovan Cox, wasn't just any thrillseker, but a legal analyst working for the Department of Human Services in Little Rock. out there 48,000. second South right now as well. That's just a headb. Go and 37's ahead of it. ON THE GROUND. ON THE GROUND NOW ON THE GROUND. >> In the end, the rider identified as 23-year-old Donovan Cox lost control and crashed after cutting through the grass to evade trooper caviness. Inside his backpack, officers found a loaded pistol and extra magazine. Ironically, the man who worked as a legal analyst now faces the legal consequences he once studied. On the morning of September 9th, 2021, what began as a simple speeding violation on Interstate 540 turned into chaos. A small black four-door car tore through Van Beern at over 80 mph, ignoring lights and traffic. When Arkansas State Police and local units joined the pursuit, the chase quickly turned volatile. One trooper even lost control of his cruiser while trying to catch up. H21 traffic 21 traffic now nothing stop lights and current and 50 southbound 21 current 70 21 on west. 10 position. GET YOUR [screaming] HANDS UP RIGHT NOW. >> The driver, later identified as Angela McConnell and her passenger, Brandy Stanhouse, were both taken into custody after two pit maneuvers brought the car to a stop. McConnell was found to have an active parole warrant. Stan had multiple felony warrants of her own. Another reminder that running never makes things better. It only adds to what's already waiting. On a sunny day in Russia, a bright green Nissan GTR stood out for all the wrong reasons. The driver pushed through traffic at dangerous speeds, drawing the attention of police units that quickly moved in to intercept. The chase sliced through crowded city lanes as officers tried to corner the high-powered car without endangering others. Woo! Yeah, increase. That's what I'm going. You would see Woo! SL Russian Eventually, the driver pulled over and claimed he had simply been listening to music. Officers soon realized the man behind the wheel was well-known rapper Tea Killer. While an ordinary citizen might have faced harsher consequences, this stop left many wondering whether fame changes accountability. Regardless, reckless speed puts everyone at risk, no matter who you are. Friday night in Los Angeles turned unpredictable when a stolen silver Jaguar roared down the 10 freeway. Helicopters tracked the car as it darted through Boil Heights and beyond topping 100 mph with little traffic to slow it down. The driver showed no intent to surrender even as patrol cars closed in from multiple directions. But it's been extremely erratic. Really weaving across lanes, going through red lights when he was on surface streets. And uh now showing signs of maybe getting off the freeway again here using that shoulder to get around anybody in his way. Traffic's moving along here. It's not bumper to bumper, but you can see he is just desperate to flee as fast as he possibly can. He's really pushing the pedal to the metal in this newer model Jaguar southbound 110 freeway through South LA. Jovon and Mark. He's trying to squeeze through. I'm going to squeeze through here. Uhoh. East on Manchester. East on Manchester. Under the 110 freeway now. Moving away from us here. He's under the freeway. Under the overpass. Right. He did not come out the other side. Did not come out the other side yet. This is always a tricky point. It's always a telltale sign if they're looking to dump the vehicle. Sometimes they will stop under the freeway. He's out of the vehicle. The vehicle's rolling. The vehicle is rolling into the intersection. He is on foot under that freeway. He is under the overpass and there is nobody behind him. He may very well walk away from this crime. Now look at this. That Jaguar is moving on its own, bumping into that van. This is incredible. I that driver's seat by all by my observation is empty. And now that Jaguar is coming to a stop there in the middle of the intersection at Manchester Boulevard at uh either Broadway or Main, just one block uh past the freeway there. And as for that driver, he may very well be long gone, guys. It's always difficult when this happens under a freeway overpass. I just there's no sign of it. Meanwhile, this car is still rolling along here in idle. No. On several occasions, we did see debris fly out of the vehicle. Unclear what it was, if it was anything of uh of importance, if it was evidence of some sort, if it was drugs, if it was a weapon. We have no idea, but uh he was certainly uh pushing his luck here and also stepping on that gas pedal at very high speeds as he made his way through Riverside and LA County uh looking for that perfect hiding spot or a perfect place to dump the vehicle. And this is a new one on me. Literally uh just left the vehicle rolling uh without anybody behind him. There was no law enforcement on scene out here to even take custody of the stolen Jaguar. So, somebody's stolen Jag is now rolling through South LA with nobody in it. I can't say I've seen this before. Meanwhile, that driver is long gone, guys. Nobody hurt. Here comes California Highway Patrol. Look at this. He's The car is rolling right into traffic. The car is in appears to be in idle just rolling through the intersection. Here comes CHP. Uh what are we going to see here? A pit. I mean, God only knows. We This is a new one on me, guys. Try and open the Try and open it up. Try and open it up. Is it okay? It's open. And here there it comes to an end into pole. Ah, shucks. He says >> the chase ended dramatically when the driver abandoned the Jaguar beneath the 110 freeway, letting it roll empty into a light pole. Authorities said the suspect was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer. The search for that individual continued long after the car stopped. A luxury ride turned into evidence proof that even fast cars can't outrun the law. Just before dawn on March 11th, 2022, officers in Waldorf, Maryland, responded to a hit and run on Pine Cone Circle. The suspect had already vanished, but witnesses identified him as 50-year-old Daryl Bird. Less than an hour later, deputies spotted him driving a pickup truck nearby, unaware of how the morning would end. I don't know. The wind is going to hit it. When officers tried to stop him, Bird fled again, this time along St. Charles Parkway. Moments later, he lost control and struck trees off the roadway. Bird passed away at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. The investigation tied both crashes to his actions earlier that morning. A sequence of choices that spiraled beyond recovery. On the afternoon of May 25th, 2023, Sheridan police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle speeding through town. Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated, leading officers on a high-speed chase north of the city. The suspect's reckless driving showed no concern for anyone sharing the road. Here we go. Yeah. There's another way. Damn it. >> Officers were forced to use intentional intervention when the suspect veered into oncoming lanes. The vehicle crashed into a ditch, ending the pursuit. The driver passed away at the scene while a passenger was hospitalized with injuries. Authorities later discovered methamphetamine and multiple warrants tied to both occupants, a pursuit that began with stolen property and ended in irreversible loss. Just before 2:00 a.m. on February 16th, 2020, a routine DWI checkpoint in Albuquerque was about to take a dangerous turn. As officers screened drivers on Alama near the Rio Grand, a Dodge Charger suddenly broke from the line and sped away into the night. Behind the wheel was 21-year-old Adam Graham. And the decision he made in that moment turned a simple stop into a 119 mph chase through city streets. >> Number one and number two lane. Ran into some traffic. We passed it going 119. You see if APD has their helicopter off my chest for APD online. >> Looks like we may be going west on 40. West 40. >> West 510. Were we able to get a plate number? >> Eastbound 940. Adam David Lincoln Mary 80 Z. Adam David Lincoln Mary 8 Z. >> Hope I hit the wall. >> Vehicle is losing control on the turn. We're on the ramp to fly over to east 40 now. Didn't hit anything. >> Okay, we're approaching Carwell. Approaching Carile. Couple of CMVs and a POV up ahead of us. 90 mph. Outside lane approaching car 90 mph. Outside lane CMV. So, looks like we might take Carl out by >> standing. His rim just smashed my window. >> He lost completely lost his wheel and he 45. One other vehicle involved. >> After losing two tires and crashing into a light pole near Carile Boulevard, Graham jumped out and tried to run but was quickly caught by state police. He was arrested and later faced multiple charges, including DWI, battery on an officer, and more. Two passengers were injured but survived. Another lesson on how one reckless decision can shatter a night and change lives in seconds. That's how this chase ended. But the story of reckless drivers and fearless troopers continues. Head over to the next video to see another case that took an unexpected turn. Thanks again for watching and being part of this community. Make sure you hit subscribe so you're here for the next
