On November 26th, 2021, Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy Patrick Fick tried stopping a suspect tied to an armed robbery investigation. Within moments, the situation escalated when gunfire started erupting from inside the fleeing vehicle. The suspect's passenger kept firing directly at deputies and nearby drivers, turning a New Mexico highway into something that sounded more like an active battlefield than a traffic stop. Except for what? Did he damage the weapon? Subu. Shots fired. Shots fired. Subject just shot at me. Shots fired. Shots fired. Subject is shooting. Subject is shooting. Add our unit. BY THE TIME THE chase finally came to a stop, deputies had returned fire after multiple rounds were aimed at both patrol units and innocent motorists along the roadway. The suspects were taken into custody after the violent pursuit ended, with investigators later tying the case to armed robbery allegations, aggravated assault charges, and multiple counts connected to shooting at law enforcement officers. On February 1st, 2023, deputies in Ocala, Florida, received reports about a stolen white Ford F-150 that came with an extra problem inside, a stolen firearm. Instead of quietly parking the truck somewhere and disappearing, the suspects packed several people into the pickup and tore through city streets with deputies closing in behind them. >> Here we're good. >> 620 1031. >> 1031. The investigation ended with charges tied to possession of a stolen vehicle fleeing law enforcement and firearm related offenses after the chaotic pursuit tore across Ocala roads for miles. September 15th, 2024 started with something surprisingly simple in St. Charles, Missouri. A Ford Escape missing a front license plate and sporting a heavily tinted windshield. The driver decided those traffic violations were apparently worth turning into a full pursuit instead of a quick roadside conversation. 2122 traffic >> 2122 >> mobile Ford lane six young train Paul 09 you action eastbound 70 from first capital with 111 with them coming over to lane one 9 mph center one 9 miles per hour convention Exit. >> Exit convention. >> 1050. 1050. >> 1050. On January 7th, 2024, Michigan State Police spotted a freshly stolen White Ford Crown Victoria parked along Lakeetton Avenue. On November 4th, 2023, police near Houston received reports about an 18-wheeler weaving recklessly across highways, and the driver refused to stop for law enforcement for nearly two straight hours. Once the chase finally ended near fools here, the driver surrendered without further confrontation and was taken into custody at the scene. Investigators later announced felony evading charges along with possession of a controlled substance after officers discovered illegal narcotics inside the cab of the truck. Saturday, January 29th, 2022, an Arkansas State Police traffic stop for speeding suddenly shifted gears when troopers discovered the driver had active felony parole warrants and was considered armed and dangerous. Instead of stepping out of the Mustang, Terry Lee Beette launched into a wild interstate pursuit that sent troopers racing across highways and rural roads at extreme speeds. I just get a ticket. Hours after crashing the Mustang and fleeing into nearby fields with a pistol in hand, Bquette was finally located hiding near a brush pile with help from aircraft crews and K9 units. He was taken into custody alongside passenger Jaime Shivers while investigators prepared charges tied to felony fleeing weapons offenses and reckless endangerment from the hours long chase. On October 12th, 2023, Arkansas State Police stopped a gray Mercedes Sprinter van along Interstate 40 for following too closely. But the driver's nervous behavior quickly raised more suspicion than the traffic violation itself. Inside the cargo area, troopers discovered thousands upon thousands of untaxed [music] cigarette packs hidden behind furniture and disguised inside taped up bags. >> Edward William 3168 on a gray Mercedes Sprinter van. The chase finally ended in flames after the Charger wrecked violently and caught fire, ejecting the driver onto the roadside with serious injuries. Troopers secured the injured suspect while waiting for emergency crews, and investigators later began sorting through the stolen vehicle case along with potential fleeing and reckless driving charges tied to the crash. That arrest may have ended this chase, but cases like this are usually just one stop in a much bigger pattern of reckless decisions and dangerous encounters on the road. Check out the next video to see another pursuit that escalated even faster than this one. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe for more real police chases and breakdowns.
